All right for our first book this morning, we have this story. It's called tomorrow is waiting and it is written by Kiley Frank with pictures by Aaron Michonne, and it is published by GP, Putnam and Sons and I'm so happy to be able to read it to you. Tomorrow is waiting.

Tonight, as you sleep a new day, stirs.

And that's tomorrow is waiting, so you may notice I'm putting the words here. So that's something that new that we're doing and we're gonna do this rhyme right here. It's called five little P's and I know. Probably if you're watching on your phone, you can't read that so we'll go through it. So April is National, Poetry Month still, and so we have a poem book for you, a poem, that's an adventure.

Daniel knows all about the rocks and the trees and the animals in the park.

On Monday morning, Daniel sees something new on the park gate; a sign reads: poetry in the park Sunday at 6 o'clock.

What is poetry Daniel asks.

He looks up in surprise to hear spiders say to me: poetry is when morning dew glistens.

On Tuesday Daniel climbs, the old oak tree, you see a squirrel squirrel. Do you know what poetry is poetry.

Is when crisp leaves crunch squirrel tells him on Wednesday Daniel calls and calls into chipmunks hole chipmunk, and you please tell me what poetry is poetry.

hmm Poetry is a home with many windows in an old stone wall.

So guess what guys I have great news for you. We have a special guest coming to join us, so San Bruno, firefighter Katherine Kurt is going to join us and he has some books that are already, and you are probably noticing I'm seeing she's putting on her name tag.

You're, probably noticing that I forgot to put my nametag on so I do have a hair or breast and I want to also let you know that firefighter Katherine is also working today, so she was going to be here right at the beginning and she had to go out and do some of her work, and so that's something that could happen again. I just want to. Let you know about it, so we're so glad to have her here for story time and to have her on the job for the city of San, Bruno, ready.

Hello, everyone I'm firefighter Catherine and I'm so excited to be able to read with you today before I start I just wanted to talk about how proud of you I am for staying home. I know that this is a little bit difficult, not being able to be close with your friends and family, but you're all doing such a great job and I'm glad that we have this opportunity to read to each other through the computer.

So before we get started, I'm gonna start by singing a song and it's to the tune of the wheels on the bus go round and round. But it's the firefighter edition. Are you ready? It is published by the green willow books and read with the permission of HarperCollins children's book, and the other is courage by Bernard waver, and this is published by the Houghton Mifflin company and I'm so excited to be able to read both of them to you and, like we said earlier just in case, I get a call I'm going to hear beeps through this radio and I'm gonna stop talking for a moment and make sure that the call is for me or it's for another station. I can stay.

Okay, so don't be alarmed if you hear those beeping so we're gonna start with a book called courage, and this book is going to talk about how no matter who you are big or small, a boy or a girl. You can always be courageous or have courage in any situation.

There are many kinds of courage, awesome kinds and everyday kinds.

Still, courage is courage, whatever kind courage is riding your bicycle for the first time without training, wheels, courage is a spelling bee and your word is superciliousness.

Courage is two candy bars and saving one for tomorrow. That would be hard for me. Courage is mealtime and desperately hoping it's not chunky chunks in real gravy. Again courage is nobody better pick on your little brother courage. Is it's your job to check out the night noises in the house? You see how dark it is. That might be kind of scary. Sometimes, even for me, courage is being the new kid on the block and saying flat-out hi. My name is Wayne. What's yours, courage is tasting the vegetable before making a face.

Who knows it might taste really good courage is not peeking at the last pages of your whodunit book to find out who did it? Courage is being the first to make up after an argument.

Courage is deliberately stepping on the sidewalk cracks. Courage is the bottom of the ninth tie, score two outs bases loaded and your turn to bat. Courage is the juicy secret you promised never to tell.

Courage is being sudsy and scrubbed by strangers. Courage is breaking bad habits. Courage is suddenly remembering a silly joke and trying not to giggle when everyone else is being especially serious.

Courage is arriving much too early for a birthday party. Courage is sending a Valentine to someone you secretly admire and signing your real name. Courage is admiring, but not plucking. Courage is going to bed without a nightlight.

Courage is deciding to have your hair cut. Courage is trying to cover up your mean jealous side. Courage is a scenic car trip and being stuck in the middle during the best part. Courage is explaining the RIP in your brand-new jeans.

Courage is going on it again and that's a rollercoaster Courage's. If you knew where there were some mountains, you would definitely climb them.

Courage is exploring Heights, and depths is an astronaut up here, and this is the deepest part of the ocean. Courage is a blade of grass breaking through the icy snow.

Courage is starting over courage, is holding on to your dream.

Courage is being a firefighter or a police officer, courageous, sometimes having to say goodbye.

Courage is what we give to each other. Most importantly, did you all like that book I know, I did.

Okay, this next book is called fire truck by Peters's.

Once there was a little boy named Matt who loved fire trucks.

His first words in the morning were fire truck you.

The last thing he said before he went to bed was firetruck and one day when he woke up, he was a.

Firetruck, oh, my goodness, he had one driver six wheels: two ladders, seven long hooks three hoses: eight sirens: four flashing lights, nine axes; five helmets, ten booths.

He drove around his neighborhood with sirens blaring.

He raced down the road, he rescued a cat, he put out a fire, he saved a teddy bear.

The fire trucks parked at the kitchen table and Matt ate his breakfast, the end all right, everyone.
