Thank
you.
B
Thanks
for
having
me,
I'm
happy
to
be
here,
so
I'm
going
to
ask
the
audience
to
get
a
little
towel
or
a
washcloth
or
a
scarf
something
that's
close
by
right,
because
at
the
end
I'm
going
to
teach
you
an
old
african-american
song
and
we're
going
to
get
to
do
a
little
bit
of
movement
with
it
all
right.
B
B
Little
johnny
brown
love,
love,
love
going
to
his
nana's
house.
She
had
a
farm,
she
had
lots
of
animals
and
she
was
so
sweet
to
him.
She
would
sing
to
him
and
they
would
cook
together.
She
made
the
best
most
delicious
cookies
and
he
got
to
visit
all
of
her
pets.
She
had
cats
and
dogs
and
chickens
and
pigs.
She
had
a
whole
barn,
full
of
animals
and
little
johnny
brown
he
loved
to
be
with
his
grandma,
but
he
never
spent
the
night
at
her
house.
B
B
A
B
Parents
took
him
and
they
gave
him
a
hug
and
a
kiss
and
they
went
to
the
airport
and
there
was
johnny
brown
with
this
nana
and
she
did
tell
him
stories
and
they
did
bake
cookies
and
he
did
get
to
feed
all
the
animals
on
her
farm.
He
was
so
happy,
but
as
evening
set
in
and
it
started
to
get
later
in
the
day
his
grandma
his
nana.
She
said.
A
A
C
A
B
A
B
A
She
ran
down
the
hallway,
she
opened
the
door,
she
turned
to
the
light.
She
said
little
johnny
brown
you're
supposed
to
be
laying
that
blanket
down,
and
he
said
she
said.
Oh
baby,
are
you
a
little
bit
nervous
you
a
little
bit
scared
baby?
It's
all
right.
Nana
knows
just
what
to
do
I'll,
be
right
back.
A
Walked
it
up
the
steps
and
she
put
it
right
in
bed
right
next
to
johnny
and
she
said
little
johnny
brown
baby,
it's
time
to
lay
that
blanket
down,
and
now
you
got
the
little
kitty
cat
to
sleep
with
you.
You're
not
gonna,
be
afraid.
Are
you
and
he
said
no,
not
me.
She
said
good.
All
right,
baby,
listen,
nana's
fixing
to
give
y'all
a
kiss
good
night,
I'ma
turn
out
that
light
right
there
on
the
wall
and
then
I'ma
close
the
squeaky
door.
All
right-
and
he
said:
okay,
nanda.
B
A
A
Ran
down
the
hallway
she
opened,
the
door
turned
to
the
light.
She
said
little
johnny
brown,
baby
you're
supposed
to
be
laying
that
blanket
down.
What's
going
on,
she
said:
oh
baby,
all
right
nana
understands
you
a
little
bit
afraid
it's
all
right!
Nana
knows
just
what
to
do.
You
wait
right
here
baby.
You
wait
right
here.
B
And
so
his
grandmother
she
went
downstairs.
She
walked
through
the
kitchen
out
the
back
door
into
the
backyard
and
there
was
a
dog
house
with
the
dog
in
it.
Oh
little
johnny
brown
loved
to
play
with
that
dog.
She
brought
the
dog
inside
and
she
carried
the
dog
up
the
stairs
and
and
went
back
in
the
bedroom
and
put
the
dog
on
the
bed
on
the
other
side
of
johnny
brown.
A
A
B
A
B
A
And
she
said
all
right
all
right,
johnny
brown,
nana's,
tired
and
you
should
be
tired,
too
listen,
baby!
Oh
here's!
What's
gonna
happen.
Nana's
gonna,
give
you
a
kiss
good
night.
I'ma,
give
you
all
a
kiss
good
night.
I'm
fixing
to
turn
out
that
light
baby
and
then
I'm
gonna
close
the
squeaky
door.
Now
you're,
not
gonna,
be
afraid.
Are
you.
B

A
A
B
A
B
B
She
marched
upstairs
with
her
tool
box
and
she
was
digging
around
digging
around
and
she
found
her
hammer
and
she
found
some
nails
and
nana
set
to
working.
She
was
hammering
and
nailing,
and
she
put
the
bed
back
together
and
made
it
nice
and
strong
and
sturdy,
but
as
she
was
putting
her
tools
away,
she
saw
a
little
can
inside
of
that
toolbox.
B
B
B
A
A
A
B
That's
the
story:
a
little
johnny
brown
lays
his
blanket
down,
so
I
have
a
song
that
I
want
to
share
with
you
and
it's
actually
called
little
johnny
brown
and
it
is
a
very
old
african-american
song
that
comes
from
the
sea
islands
from
the
gullah
people
in
the
north
carolinas,
and
they
have
a
very,
very
strong,
rich
culture.
And
this
story
I
mean
this
song
was
really
brought
to
the
forefront
of
kind
of
mainstream
culture
by
a
woman
named
bessie
jones.
Please
look
her
up.

Thank
you.
Thank
you
for
joining
us
today,
you
so
much
and
when
you're
doing
it
at
home,
stand
up
on
your
feet
and
you
can
swing
it
around
and
do
all
kinds
of
movements
and
put
different
activities
in
the
song
of
things
to
do,
and
it's
it's
more
fun
when
you're,
using
your
whole
body
going
up
and
down
and
laying
your
blanket
on
the
floor.
So
thank
you.
Thank
you
for
joining
us
today.
