April 2013

A
Welcome
to
another
edition
of
what's
happening
around
town
for
april
2013,
I'm
stephanie,
chaves
spring
is
here,
and
we
are
in
for
a
great
month
for
activities
to
get
you
up
and
out
of
the
house
stay
here
and
watch
for
the
next
few
minutes
and
you
may
find
some
fun
activities
for
the
whole
family.
You
may
have
heard
that
the
city
of
San
Bruno
passed
an
ordinance
to
ban
single-use
carry
out
plastic
bags.
The
idea
of
this
is
to
promote
a
shift
to
the
use
of
reusable
bag.
A
This
ordinance
will
take
effect
on
the
twenty-second
of
this
month.
This
means
that
you
will
need
to
bring
reusable
bags
when
shopping,
for
groceries,
clothing
and
other
personal
items.
If
you
don't
have
reusable
bags
or
forget
yours
at
home,
you
may
purchase
bags
at
the
store
for
ten
cents.
An
outreach
meeting
was
held
last
month
for
residents
in
case
you
missed
that
meeting
and
still
have
some
questions.
Please
contact
the
public
services
department
at
six
1670
65,
where
they
will
be
happy
to
talk
to
you.
A
A
This,
after
a
few
hours
of
cleaning,
painting
or
gardening
around
the
city,
the
volunteers
are
given
a
delicious
barbecue
lunch
as
a
token
of
our
appreciation.
It
makes
for
a
great
day,
and
you
can
feel
good
about
helping
keep
your
city
clean
and
beautiful.
There
is
