summer
is
just
bursting
at
the
seams
with
loads
of
stuff
for
you
and
your
family
to
do
stay
and
watch
with
me
for
the
next
few
minutes
to
learn
about
what
is
happening
in
your
neighborhood
fun
and
three.
What
could
it
be
concerts
in
the
park
come
down
to
city
park
on
any
Friday
night
in
August
and
September,
and
you
will
find
free
live
music
and
fun
with
your
friends
and
family
at
6
p.m.

For
those
of
you
between
the
ages
of
five
and
fifteen,
have
we
got
a
triathlon
for
you?
The
annual
Youth
triathlon
will
take
place
in
City
Park
on
Saturday
August
24th.
The
start
time
is
8:30
a.m.
bring
your
swimming
suit
bicycle
and
running
shoes
and
get
ready
for
a
day
of
races
receive
a
t-shirt
to
commemorate
your
day's
achievement.

Once
you
register
with
the
recreation
division,
detailed
information
on
what
you
need
for
the
day
will
be
given
register
soon,
because
no
registration
will
take
place
on
the
day
of
the
event,
and
we
need
a
minimum
of
15
participants
to
be
registered
by
Friday
August
16th
for
the
braces
to
take
place.

Swim's
for
people
18
years
and
older,
for
only
$3.00
per
person
come
to
the
pool
between
6th
and
7:45
p.m.
and
have
some
fun,
and
you
will
have
the
added
bonus
of
the
music
in
the
park
from
the
rotary
pavilion
filtering
its
way
over
to
the
pool
the
Friday
night
swims
for
adults
only
at
the
San
Bruno
Park
pool.

How
does
watching
a
movie
sound
while
playing
in
the
pool
then
come
to
the
dive
in
movies.
The
dive
in
movies
are
for
people
of
all
ages.
Remember
that
children,
ages,
10
and
under
must
be
accompanied
by
a
paying
adult
and
non-swimmers
must
have
some
what
18
years
or
older,
to
assist
them
in
the
water
ten
dollars
per
person
for
San
Bruno
residents,
with
a
small
price
to
pay
for
a
movie
and
fun
in
the
water
dive
in
movies
on
Friday
nights.

This
August,
have
you
been
going
to
the
recreation
swim
sessions
at
the
San
Bruno
Park
pool
this
summer,
keep
in
mind
that
while
the
pool
will
be
open
through
September,
22nd
weekday,
recreation,
swim
hours
will
discontinue
as
of
August
19th
weekend.
Recreation
swim
hours
will
continue.
All
lap
swim
and
water
aerobics
classes
will
continue
on
the
same
schedule.

And
friendly
transit
corridor
is
to
make
it
safe
for
people
to
get
around
on
foot.
With
this
in
mind,
the
construction
of
pedestrian
connection
improvements
is
next
on
the
San
Bruno
public
works
agenda.
This
will
take
place
at
three
locations
on
San
Bruno
Avenue,
one
at
Mills
Avenue,
one
at
Mason
Avenue
and
the
last
one
at
Kristen
Humphrey
bull
bouts
at
intersection,
corners,
high
visibility,
striping
and
rectangular
flashing,
beacons
all
increase
pedestrian
safety
drivers
expects
minor
traffic
delays,
as
construction
will
take
place
from
mid-july
until
the
end.

The
improvement
this
project
started
at
the
end
of
July
and
is
expected
to
last
approximately
two
months.
There
is
always
something
fun
happening
at
the
Senior
Center
and
a
lot
of
great
people
just
looking
to
meet
new
friends.
The
paper
crafts
class
will
take
place
on
Friday
August
16
at
10:30
in
the
morning,
join
other
creative
people
and
get
ready
to
have
some
fun
mark.

Your
calendars
on
Friday
September,
20th,
foul-up,
lingual,
mcs
of
fallen
senior
variety
show
and
if
you
are
interested
in
getting
your
15
minutes
of
fame
sign
up
at
the
reception
desk
now
August
at
the
Senior
Center
wouldn't
be
the
same
without
August
summer
fun.
Sports
week,
each
day
during
the
week
of
August
16
through
August
23rd,
you
will
have
the
opportunity
to
play
or
watch
a
different
sport
participate
in
the
sport
that
you
have
done
before,
or
try
something
new
and
on
Thursday
August
22nd.

The
annual
softball
game
against
the
seniors
of
Redwood
City
will
take
place
at
Lions
Field
at
10
a.m.
with
a
barbecue
lunch
at
City
Park
to
follow
action.
That's
not
all
on
Friday
August
23rd,
the
California
Cowboys
join
ranks
with
Kathy
Schmidt
for
the
annual
Western
dance
party.
Kathy
will
teach
you
some
fun
line:
dances
starting
at
10
a.m.
the
ban
cranks
up
the
music
at
10:30
and
away
we
go
a
western-themed.
Lunch
will
be
served
at
noon.
Come
enjoyed
summer
at
the
San
Bruno
Senior
Center
during
August
summer
fun.

Sports
week,
the
week
of
August
16th
through
the
twenty
Meridian
stretching
is
a
technique
that
increases
flexibility
and
deepens
body
awareness,
join
Windy,
Cory
for
a
free
class
on
Thursday
August
29th
at
11
a.m.
learn.
How
to
activate
then
relax
your
muscles
in
this
exciting,
then
relaxing
class.

If
you
have
kids,
you
can
always
use
some
extra
help.
Join
the
San
Bruno,
my
brief,
or
a
series
of
workshops
promoting
growth
and
offering
supportive
resources
and
tools
for
parents
with
children.
There
will
be
two
different
series:
one
for
people
with
kids
between
the
ages
of
six
and
twelve
and
one
for
people
with
teens
between
13
and
18,
presented
by
Star
Vista,
an
organization
that
helps
people
navigate
life's
changes.
They
offer
counseling
crisis
prevention,
youth,
housing
and
early
childhood
programs.

Reading
for
kids
and
adults
continues
throughout
this
month
at
the
San
Bruno
Public
Library
be
sure
to
turn
in
your
reading
logs
by
August,
thirtieth
kids
through
eighth
grade
get
a
free
book
and
a
raffle
ticket
for
the
one-thousand
dollar
college
scholarship,
high
schoolers
will
get
a
five
dollar
gift
card
and
a
raffle
ticket
for
the
scholarship
and
adults
will
be
entered
into
a
raffle
for
a
$100
gift
card.

special
thank

due
to
the
Friends
of
the
San
Bruno.
My
brief
for
continuing
support
of
this
program,
which
chimes
are
fun.

look
nice
and
can
be
used
indoors
or
out,
come
to
the
downstairs
community
room
on
Thursday
August.
First
for
a
wind
chime
making
session
using
upcycle
materials,
each
wind
chime
will
be
unique.
This
event
is
free
to
the
public,
make
your
own
wind,
chime
on
Thursday
August
1st
from
3
to
4
p.m.
most
Americans.
Throw
away
so
much
food
each
year
learn
how
to
make
tasty
dishes,
while
learning
how
to
reduce
your
food
waste
on
both
Wednesday
August,
7th
and
14th.
The
food
smarts
cooking
workshop
for
adults
will
eat
you.

advantage
of
seasonal
produce
and
pantry
staples,
and
each
workshop
attendee
will
receive
a
$6
coupon
to
use
at
a
local
farmers
market.
