Description
City of San Bruno's What's Happening Around Town March 2011
A
Here's
a
look
at
what's
happening
around
town,
I'm
stephanie
chaves.
Do
you
dream
of
barbecuing,
but
still
think
it's
too
cold
outside
plan
ahead?
You
can
rent
picnic
sites
at
Commodore,
Park
Grundy
park,
&
city
park
up
to
one
year
in
advance.
Each
location
has
benches
grills,
restrooms
and
garbage
cans
plus
there's
a
fun
play
area
to
keep
the
kids
entertained
to
reserve
a
picnic
site
sign
up
in
person
at
the
Veterans
Memorial
recreation
center
in
san
bruno
city,
touch
between
8am
and
8
30
p.m.
monday,
through
thursday
8am
to
430
p.m.
A
friday
and
930am
to
1230
p.m.
on
saturday
be
sure
to
bring
your
driver's
license
or
identification
card
as
proof
of
residency
to
receive
the
resident
rate.
You
like
watching
basketball,
come
to
the
veterans
memorial
recreation
center
across
from
san
bruno
park
on
saturday
mornings,
cheer
on
kids
playing
in
this
interview
early,
but
don't
wait.
The
season
ends
March
19th,
so
you
better
hurry.
Watch
future
NBA
stars
in
the
making
summer
is
almost
here,
and
that
means
summer
day
camp
register.
A
Now
so
the
kids
can
have
fun
in
the
Sun
kids
ages,
4
to
14
can
enjoy
swimming
sports
and
other
outdoor
activities,
as
well
as
indoor
fun
with
arts
and
crafts
drama
and
music.
Don't
forget
to
sign
up
for
spring
day.
Camp
to
spring
day
camp
will
be
held,
April
eighteenth
through
the
22nd
calling
all
T
and
7th
through
12th
grade.
Do
you
need
community
service
hours
or
just
want
to
get
involved?
Community
involvement
begins
with
you,
yak.
B
The
letters
mean
youth
activities
committee
and
what
it
stands
for
to
me
is
like
working
in
your
own
community
and
bringing
out
what
people
usually
don't
see
in
showing
people
that
there
is
a
lot
going
on
that
they
don't
see.
This
is
working
hands-on
within
your
own
community.
So
when
you're
from
san
bruno,
it's
like
a
lot
more
special
because
you're
doing
something
within
the
city
you
live
in.
It's.
A
And
return
in
applications,
along
with
one
letter
of
recommendation
from
a
teacher
coach,
advisor
or
counselor
to
the
veteran
memorial
recreation
center
to

Do
you
have
some
free
time
on
your
hands
and
are
looking
for
something
fun
to
do?
Then
I
would
recommend
the
San
Bruno
Senior
Center,
it's
a
great
place
to
meet
people,
learn
things
and
just
plain
socialize.
A
The

A

you

a

Perhaps
