Description
What's Happening Around Town April 2015
City of San Bruno
A
Imagine
this
put
a
blindfold
over
your
eyes,
then
get
into
a
car
and
drive
its
mouth.
How
far
do
you
think
you
would
go
without
hitting
something
at
that
speed?
You
would
travel
the
distance
of
a
football
field.
100
yards
in
only
five
seconds
sounds
like
a
stupid
thing
to
do
right,
but
if
you
are
behind
the
steering
wheel
and
pick
up
a
phone
to
look
at
a
text,
this
is
in
essence
what
you
are
doing.
You
are
driving
without
looking
at
the
road,
yet
so
many
people
do
this
every
day.
A
Well,
you
can
do
just
that
by
participating
in
Operation
Clean
Sweep
on
Saturday
and
a
second
starting
at
9am
volunteers
will
meet
in
city
park
at
the
rotary
pavilion
to
sign
up
turn
in
release,
forms
and
fuel
up
on
coffee
and
donuts
then
participate
in
cleaning
gardening
or
painting
around
the
city.
Afterwards,
you
will
be
treated
to
a
delicious
lunch
provided
by
recology
san
bruno
as
a
token
appreciation.
A
It
makes
for
a
great
day,
and
you
can
feel
good
about
helping
keep
your
city
clean
and
beautiful,
to
participate
in
Operation
Clean
Sweep

There
is

You
can
always
sign

the
rotary

the
day
of
the
event,
and
just
so
you
know,
a
parent
or
guardian
must
sign
for
volunteers.
A

refresher
class
on
Thursday
April
23rd,
only
at
the
San
Bruno
Senior
Center,
the
san
berdo
fire
department
would
like
us
to
take
a
moment
to
talk
about
the
potential
dangers
that
can
be
caused
by
carbon
monoxide.
Carbon
monoxide
is
an
odorless
poisonous
gas
that
can
potentially
cause
illness
or
death.
A
Here
are
some
tips
about
carbon
monoxide
alarms
and
how
to
prevent
carbon
monoxide
poisoning
from
occurring
in
your
home,
carbon
monoxide
alarms
should
be
installed
outside
of
each
sleeping
area
and
on
every
level
of
the
home.
It's
best
to
use
interconnected
alarms
so
that,
when
one
sounds,
they
all
sound
always
follow
the
instructions
when
installing
or
replacing
a
carbon
monoxide
alarm
and
make
sure
to
test
the
alarms
at
least
once
a
month
to
ensure
they
are
working
properly.
A
If
the
battery
is
low
immediately,
replace
it,
and
even
if
it
is
not
signaling
is
low
get
in
the
habit
of
replacing
the
batteries.
When
you
change
the
clocks
for
daylight
savings
time.
If
the
carbon
monoxide
alarms
sound,
you
must
get
to
fresh
air,
make
sure
everyone
in
the
house
moves
outside
or
gets
near
an
open
door
or
window
immediately
call
the
fire
department
and
stay
in
the
fresh
air
location
until
help
arrives.
