C
Okay,
so
thank
you,
everyone
for
your
patience.
While
we
got
the
technical
issues
worked
out.
This
is
what
happens
after
a
nice
long
vacation.
C
C
Let's
get
on
with
the
agenda,
then
sorry
for
the
delay.
We
will
start
with
the
reviewing
of
the
agenda
for
the
August
8th
meeting,
which
is
scheduled
for
1
30.
C
And
we
have
strategic
support,
we
have
intergovernment
rental
relations,
report,
sanitary
sewer,
service,
public
hearing
waste,
residential,
solid
waste
collection,
service
charges,
General
obligation,
Bond
tax
levy,
nothing
in
sections,
four,
five,
six,
seven,
eight
nine
and
then
we
have
land
use
and
I
think
land
use
is
just
consent.
No
there's
not
there's
one
item
of
regular
land
use
and
six
items
on
consent.
Land
use
will
be
heard,
is
noticed
for
the
afternoon,
not
a
special
evening
session.
F
G
Okay,
I,
don't
know
how
to
okay.
Here
we
go
so
the
agenda
says
regarding
the
evening
session
will
not
begin
until
six
or
until
after
afternoon,
items
are
heard.
Whichever
is
later
so.
D
Yes,
the
the
land
use
items
all
have
been
noticed
for
1
30.,
so
you
we
would
plan
to
just
hear
it
as
part
of
the
regular
agenda.
C
All
right,
all
in
favor,
yeah,
all
right
and
I
forgot
to
say
at
the
beginning
of
the
meeting
we
didn't
do
roll
call.
There
are
three
council.
C
C
Actually
went
back
and
realized,
it
was
only
in
the
background
that
it
was
an
error
and
then,
in
the
in
the
actual
recommendation
that
the.
C
Didn't
have
to
so
I
apologize
for
the
confusion,
so
we
had
three
eyes.
Motion
carries
three
zero
and
now
we're
on
to
our
section
c
memo
on
a
waiver
of
revolving
door
restrictions.
So
we
will
start
with
I
guess
the
city
attorney's
office.
You
want
to
introduce
this
item
and
then
we'll
hear.
B
B
H
Thank
you,
Mr
chair
Kevin,
Fisher
assistant,
City
attorney.
We
have
received
a
request
from
a
former
city
employee
to
waive
the
city's
revolving
door,
ordinance,
which
prohibits
former
city
employees
from
working
in
certain
or
appearing
in
front
of
City
bodies
and
advocating
in
front
of
City
bodies
for
two
years
after
the
termination
of
their
employment.
Pursuant
to
the
municipal
code
Provisions,
that
restriction
is
waivable.
C
C
We've
I
think
we've
all
read
the
waiver
request.
So
would
you
like
to
make
a
comment
before
we
proceed?
Okay,
I,
don't
know
I,
guess
that
use
that
mic
or
maybe
it's
not.
F
All
right,
well
good
afternoon,
council
members
delightful
to
see
you
all
again
and
I'm
here
to
respectfully
ask
for
my
waiver
for
I'm
I'm
here
to
respectfully
ask
for
a
waiver
for
my
review
for
my
revolving
door
policy
for
two
main
reasons.
First,
the
policy
issues
that
I
worked
on
at
the
city
do
not
have
any
overlap
with
the
issues
I
work
on
in
my
current
role
and
second
I
was
only
at
the
city
for
a
very
short
time
just
about
three
months.
F
So
being
born
and
raised
in
San,
Jose
and
especially
being
a
second
generation
citizen
of
the
city,
I
was
deeply
honored
to
serve
as
councilmember
Cohen's
policy
director
and
to
give
back
to
our
San
Jose
Community.
In
that
capacity,
my
Paul,
my
main
policy
areas
included
the
EA,
the
eihc
site
at
Noble
tree
coverage
and
stopping
levels
at
the
San
Jose,
PD,
there's
and
as
I
mentioned.
F
My
work
at
the
city
and
the
cler
and
the
current
clients
that
I
work
with
for
Canyon
snow
Additionally
the
work
that
I
do
for
clients
like
the
walk,
Khmer
campuchia,
Chrome
Temple
and
the
Special
Olympics
of
Northern
California
align
with
the
city's
Equity
goals.
My
second
reason
for
respectfully
requesting
this
waiver
is
that
my
current
revolving
door
policy
is
significantly
longer
than
my
time
at
the
city.
F
As
an
employee,
I
started
my
role
with
councilmember
Cohen's
office
on
July,
11
2022
and
my
last
day
was
October
14th
2022,
so
totaling,
just
a
little
over
three
months
and
I've
been
at
my
current
role
in
Canyon
snow
for
about
the
last
10
months.
So
my
current
revolving
door
policy
has
kept
me
from
serving
the
citizens
of
San
Jose
for
three
times
longer
than
I
was
at
the
city.
So,
for
those
reasons,
I'm
respectfully
asking
for
your
vote
of
support
for
my
waiver
and
to
pass
it
along
to
the
city
council.
Thank
you.
F
I
Hi
Martha
O'connell
I
have
spoken
before
on
this
issue.
I
feel
very
strongly
that
far
too
often
the
revolving
door
is
waived,
but
I
think
this.
This
is
a
reasonable
request,
based
on
the
factors
of
the
short
term
and
that
the
issues
the
young
lady
worked
on
have
nothing
to
do
with
what
she's
going
to
be
working
on
now
so
I
support
this
request.
Thank
you.
G
C
Just
moved
and
seconded,
let's
vote
all
in
favor,
say
aye
aye
all.
D
C
3-0,
so
that
brings
us
to
open
Forum.
Have
any
comment
for
open
forum.
I
Yeah
hi
once
again
on
behalf
of
the
visually
impaired,
making
a
request
to
the
city
I
two
things
number
one:
it
would
have
been
helpful
today
at
the
beginning
of
the
Rules
meeting,
if
you
would
have
called
out
that
the
web
ID
has
been
changed
so
the
web
ID
that
we've
been
using
for
the
last
six
months
has
been
changed.
I
struggled
to
find
the
new
one
once
again.
If,
if
on
the
agendas,
you
can
break
up
these
numbers,
for
example,
this
web
ID
had
11
numbers
all
run
together.
I
If
you
could,
please
do
the
first
three,
then
the
next
four
then
the
next
four
for
the
visually
impaired.
It
would
be
wonderful,
I,
I,
struggled
and
struggled
trying
to
see
the
numbers
when
they're
all
run
together.
You
aren't
doing
this
for
counsel.
Thank
you
very
much.
Office
of
the
city
clerk.
You
are
breaking
the
numbers
up,
so
please
do
the
same
for
the
rules
and
help
the
visually
impaired.
Thank
you.
