A
B
Heavenly
father
I'd
like
to
thank
you,
first
and
foremost
for
bringing
us
all
back
together,
although
this
room
is
cold
at
times,
sometimes
too
hot,
sometimes
too
crowded,
but
it
is
home.
So
we're
glad
to
glad
to
be
back.
I
want
to
take
a
moment
to
just
say
a
quick
prayer
for
all
the
people
that
are
being
affected
by
the
fires.
B
B
B
A
Thank
you,
counselor
we're.
E
B
A
No
hands
at
the
moment:
let's
do
follow
up
on
council
revere's
prayer
and
thoughts
for
people
so
hard
hit
by
this
fire
and
the
catastrophe.
It
represents
loss
of
community
sense,
history,
land,
property,
animals,
there's
a
lot
of
suffering
and
we
all
need
to
work
together
to
help
each
other.
So,
let's
take
a
moment
of
silence
to
think
about
helping
each
other.
G
G
Perfect
mayor
weber,.
I
G
Councillor
romero,
work,
yeah,
councilwoman,
dear
real.
You
have
a
quorum
mayor.
J
A
A
You
have
to
call
the
agenda,
we're
present
and
all
accounted
for.
All
in
favor
of
the
motion
say:
hi
hi
opposed,
say,
motion
carries.
There
will
be
some
new
behaviors
tonight.
Some
old
behaviors
remembered,
and
I
will
ask
for
your
your
your
thoughts
and
support,
as
we
recall
old
ways
of
doing
business.
G
K
Remember
how
to
do
that?
Thank
you,
mr
mayor
members
of
the
council.
K
As
council
rivera
said,
this
is
a
tremendous
time
for
our
community.
Our
northern
communities,
our
western
communities
and
the
response
of
santa
fe
has
been
remarkable,
not
only
the
city
staff,
but
the
community
partners
and
everything
that
we
have
been
seeing
coming
from
all
corners
to
support
the
people
who
are
affected
by
the
fires.
K
What
we
want
to
emphasize
today
is
what
we
can
do
to
keep
ourselves
safe
and
prepare
here
in
santa
fe.
I
will
also
introduce
chief
moya
and
super
wildland
superintendent
nathan
miller,
who
will
give
you
an
update
on
the
fires
and
what
we've
been
doing
in
the
fire
department,
as
well
as
emergency
management,
director,
brian
williams,
who
can
talk
about
the
release
efforts?
K
For
my
part,
I'm
just
going
to
repeat
some
information.
I
think
folks
have
been
hearing
lately,
but
can't
be
said
too
often
about
how
we
can
really
always
be
prepared,
and
I
think
that
one
of
the
first
things
we
need
to
think
about
doing
is
taking
care
of
our.
K
Areas
we
need
to
really
clear
our
own
homes
around
the
homes,
five
foot
away,
anything
that
could
be
flammable
30
feet
away,
anything
that
could
be
really
flammable.
We
want
to
think
about
fire
and
winds
coming
through
streets,
unsealed
areas,
and
so
we
want
to
go
around
and
look
at
vents
and
closing
offense
temporarily
or
screening
them.
We
want
to
really
trim,
trim
back
shrubs
and
free
branches,
anything
that
comes
closer
again
than
five
feet
from
our
homes.
D
K
Some
ways
this
is
a
good
extension
of
our
spring
cleaning.
We
want
to
definitely
close
all
windows
and
doors
in
the
case
that
we
do
need
to
leave
our
homes
and
lock
them
up
to
make
sure
that
our
valuables
are
protected.
We
want
to
store
away
patio
furniture
cushions
and
anything.
That's
flammable,
just
look
around
and
think
what
would
fire
like
around
here
and
put
it
away.
K
We
want
to
remove
anything
within
30
feet
that
could
burn
like
our
wood
piles,
our
spare
lumber
I've
been
working
with
my
husband
on
the
weathered
wood
collection
that
he's
got
on
the
side
of
the
house,
so
we've
really
got
to
work
on
that
and
anything
that
could
act
as
a
large
fuel
source.
We
have
to
take
that
really
really
seriously
in
terms
of
what
we
need
to
prepare
in
case.
We
are
in
a
position
where
we
need
to
leave.
K
K
Some
of
the
folks
in
our
families
may
have
special
needs
around
transportation,
really
think
that,
through
in
advance
pets,
think
about
little
pet
carriers
bags
and
things
we
would
put
our
pets
in
if
they're
small
enough
papers
are
important
documents,
our
wills
are
deeds,
our
passports
and
identification
papers.
Marriage
license
birth
certificates,
prescriptions
pictures.
K
K
I
mentioned
spring
cleaning,
it's
all
part
and
parcel
of
that.
So
in
a
lot
of
ways
best
case
scenario,
none
of
us
will
need
need
this
anytime
soon,
but
we'll
have
cleaned
up
our
homes
and
been
ready
for
whatever
is
possible,
and
with
that
I'd
like
to
introduce
fire
chief,
brian
moya
and
his
team
and
he's
going
to
talk
to
you
about
the
incredible
efforts
the
fire
department
is
making
is
making
to
support
the
communities
around
us.
Thank
you.
N
What
we've
done
santa
fe
park
barman
has
done
a
lot
of
tremendous
work
up
there
in
vegas
over
the
last
two
weeks.
We
have
25
personnel
up
there
right
now.
Today
we
have
four
engines,
one
ambulance
and
one
brush
truck.
So
we
have
a
lot
of
resources
that
we're
sending
to
the
las
vegas
to
assist
them.
We
are
doing
tremendous
work
up
there.
I
brought
down
nathan
miller
a
wildland
superintendent
to
talk
to
you
tonight.
N
N
We
also
have
been
doing
a
lot
of
great
donations
at
station
5..
We
have
been
getting.
It
looks
like
a
warehouse
at
station
5..
So
we
want
to
thank
the
community
tremendously
for
doing
that.
We
continue
to
accept
donations.
We
are
sending
a
trailer
up
to
las
vegas
every
day,
a
16
by
20,
enclosed
trailer.
So
we
are
getting
a
lot
of
donations
and
we
want
to
continue
to
do
that.
N
We
want
to
continue
to
support
these
people
because
it's
a
long
road
we
were
going
to
continue
to
have
to
support
them,
but
I
want
to
just
end
with
I
want
to
thank
the
santa
fe
fire
department
tremendously.
I
want
to
thank
all
the
men
and
women
that
work
for
me
because
they
have
done
a
tremendous
job
and
we
have
not
let
the
citizens
of
santa
fe
down
at
all
either
we
have
kept
us
running
calls
and
we've
kept
doing
everything
here.
O
Good
afternoon,
mr
mayor
and
members
of
the
body
so
yeah
today
we're
here
to
talk
about
the
two
fires
primarily
around
the
santa
fe
and
the
santa
fe
national
forest,
as
you
guys
have
been
seeing
over
to
the
east,
is
obviously
the
harmful
speed,
calf
canyon,
fire,
apparently
as
of
6
a.m.
This
morning
the
fire
currently
is
sitting
at
236,
939
acres.
O
O
Really,
as
you
guys
have
seen
on
the
news,
the
big
factor
that's
happening
is
the
weather
has
made
containment
efforts
on
this
fire
difficult
to
manage.
New
mexico
has
never
seen
wind
events
to
this
magnitude.
For
this
length
of
time,
apparently,
one
of
the
teams
that
is
assigned
underneath
my
command
up.
There
is
a
cal
fire
or
cal
oes
strike
team
and
they've
compared
these
winds
right
now
to
the
santa
ana
winds
that
they're
used
to
seeing
later
on
in
the
fall.
P
O
They're
a
little
bit
useful,
but
you
know
this
is
something
new
to
us
for
this
duration
of
seeing
these
high
winds
that
we're
seeing
right
now.
The.
D
Second,
one
that
I'd.
O
Like
to
bring
talk
about
is
the
cerro
pilato
fire,
that's
over
to
the
west
of
santa
fe
and
the
jemez
ranger
district.
As
of
6
am
this
morning.
This
fire
is
currently
sitting
at
42,
491
acres,
it
is
11
contained
still
and
they
have
1017
personnel
assigned
to
the
fire
again
with
that
one.
The
winds
have
also
made
it
difficult
to
contain
as
well
in
the
map.
I'll
show
you
here
a
little
bit
as
well.
O
The
fire
is
currently
27
miles
to
the
west
of
santa
fe
and
the
way
the
winds
are
currently
going
do
not
pose
any
type
of
impact
that
we
see
to
the
city
right
now
as
a
major
threat
fire.
We
are
seeing
a
little
bit
of
the
smoke
here
and
there
when
it
comes
in,
but,
as
you
know
anything
else,
we
don't
think
that
there
will
be
any
type
of
impact
at
this
current
time.
O
So
this
is
the
first
map
that
we
were
able
to
bring
up
off
of
new
mexico
fire
info,
just
kind
of
showing
the
general
location
of
where
the
therapeutic
fire
is
and
how
far
away
from
the
nearest
communities
that
are
surrounding
it.
As
we
can
see
down
here
in
the
bottom
right
corner,
it
says
27
miles
to
the
city
of
santa
fe
and
I'm
not
sure
if
that's
going
to
the
heart
of
santa
fe
or
if
that's
going
to
the
edge.
But
I
would
assume
it's
to
the
edge
of
the
santa
fe.
D
O
Going
up
a
little
bit
further
north
another
area,
20
miles
from
los
companus,
that's
a
county
jurisdiction
and
then
we're
looking
at
11
miles
to
white
rock
and
currently
seven
miles
to
los
alamos
is
the
closest
flame
that
anything
is
true
and
then
back
around
is
just
everything
else.
On
the
hemis
side
over
in
la
cueva
and
so
forth,.
O
D
O
It
is
about
90
miles
from
south
to
north.
This
is
how
far
this
thing
is
spanning
across
the
national
forest.
Up
there
and
unfortunately,
you
know
we
see
the
smoke
column
out
to
the
east.
It
is
growing
as
we
speak,
hopefully
after
looking
at
the
weather
condition,
we're
seeing
the
winds
die
down-
hopefully
thursday
night
and
supposed
to
be
a
nice
calm
for
friday,
saturday
sunday
and
then
predicted
to
pick
up
again
throughout
next.
K
Thanks
everyone,
I
I
wanted
to
introduce
brian
williams,
our
emergency
management
director,
before
I
do
that,
as
you
may
know,
we
have
stood
up
an
emergency
shelter
at
our
another
chavez,
community
center
with
the
red
cross
they
opened
at
11.
Am
today
we
haven't
had
people
arrive
yet,
but
we're
very
ready
for
them,
and
the
staff
at
g
triple
c
have
been
tremendous.
We
just
want
to
really
thank
them
for
all
their
hard
work
over
time,
getting
the
center
ready.
We
also
want
to
thank
the
members
of
the
public
for
their
patience
with
us.
K
We've
very
much
strove
to
striven.
Thank
you
mayor.
We've,
we've
strived.
We've
tried
really
hard
to
keep
all
of
the
programming
offered
at
g
triple
c
open.
We've
had
to
restrict
a
little
bit,
and
we
know
the
members
of
the
public
understand
why
we're
needing
to
do
that.
I
also
really
wanted
to
give
a
major
shout
out
to
gina
rinaldi
and
the
senior
services
division
earlier.
Last
week
they
delivered
1700
meals
to
the
las
vegas
senior
center,
and
that
was
greatly
greatly
appreciated.
K
Gino
himself
was
ready
to
kick
in
and
evacuate
people
from
the
behavioral
health
institute,
but
that
didn't
prove
to
be
necessary.
So
that's
just
a
little
picture
of
the
way
our
staff
is
really
stepping
up
to
help
in
the
in
the
fires
and
with
that
I'll
turn
it
to
brian.
Who
can
give
you
a
brief
synopsis
of
the
relief
efforts.
P
P
P
We
are
focusing
our
attention
on
primarily
congregate,
sheltering
non-congregate
sheltering
which
we
would
advance
for
long-term,
sheltering
of
individuals,
displaced,
seeking
warehouse
space
to
support
the
donations
management
and
other
operations
that
large
organizations
like
the
red
cross
and
salvation
army
are
engaging
in.
That's
it's
important
to
remember
that
many
people
have
pets
they
bring
them
with.
P
Of
pets
that
have
been
removed
from
the
various
shelters
in
the
impacted
communities,
we
are
currently
supporting
all
of
the
pets
from
the
las
vegas,
shelter
and
all
of
the
pets
from
the
los
alamos
shelter.
I
can't
say
enough
about
how
hard
and
diligent
the
folks
at
the
humane
society
and
the
national
humane
society
have
been
in
not
only
protecting
these
animals
but
helping
to
provide
for
individuals
to
be
able
to
stay
close
to
their
pets.
P
Additionally,
we
are
constantly
in
coordination
with
the
state.
They
know
what
we
have.
We
know
what
they
need.
So,
when
a
resource
request
comes
out,
we
work
the
problem.
We
work
the
request,
whether
it's
fire
resources,
geno's
meals,
who
knows
what
might
come
next,
so
we're
really
in
the
disaster
response
mode,
with
an
emphasis
on
coordination
and
with
that
I'll
stand
for
any
questions.
A
A
I
have
a
couple
lead
offs
and
then
I'll
just
look
for
hands
to
go
up
around,
but
we
don't
have
the
screen
anymore
with
hands.
Chief
boy,
you
mentioned
the
all
of
the
amazing
contributions
you've
been
getting.
Can
you
provide
some
guidelines
of
what
you
do
want
and
what
you
don't
want
when
it
comes
to
contributions.
N
Mr
murray,
thank
you
yeah.
So
what
I
don't
want
is
clothing.
A
lot
of
people
are
just
in
their
closets
and
we
kind
of
don't
want
that.
So
we
prefer
no
clothing.
We
prefer
water.
Some
gatorade
is
good.
You
know
some,
I
guess,
meals
that
are
can
long-term
care,
or
I
don't
know
what
the
word
is
perishable
foods.
Thank
you
toilet
paper,
paper,
towels.
Those
kind
of
items
are
what
they're
asking
for.
N
We
have
been
getting
a
lot,
but
we've
been
get
taken
it
out
as
much
as
we've
been
bringing
it
into
station
five.
So
all
those
things
would
be
great.
The
only
thing
that
work-
or
I
will
say
one
other
thing
we
are
getting
is
people
are
clearing
out
their
pantries
with
used
oil
like
this,
and
we
appreciate
if
they
wouldn't
do
that
either.
So
those
are
the
things
that
I
prefer
them
not
to
bring.
Thank.
A
You
and
let
me
follow
up
with
a
you-
can
run
us
around
the
communities
around
us.
You've
alerted
us
to
the
ready,
set,
go
model
of
different
communities
needing
to
be
on
different
levels
of
alert
as
of
today,
where
are
some
of
our
neighbors,
and
how
do
you
see
that
for
the
rest
of
this
week,
if
you
have
the
ability
to
make
any
assessments,
or
maybe
nathan
as
well,
mr.
O
O
A
B
Thank
you
chief
moya,
so
we
have
two
different
groups
that
are
down
there
right:
the
structural,
firefighters,
which
work
here
on
a
daily
basis
and
then
the
wildland
team,
which
I
believe
nathan's
in
charge
of.
Can
you
explain
the
difference
between
the
two
and
how
they
get
called
up
and
what
their
jobs
are?
Yes,.
N
Miss
mayor
comes
rivera
yeah,
so
we
have
two
divisions
up.
There.
Nathan
runs
our
wildland
division
and
we
have
seven
employees
that
work
for
him
year
round
and
we
have
currently
three
four
seasonals
with
him
currently
and
then
we'll
be
hiring
five
more
here
at
the
end
of
the
month.
So
we
have
a
type
6
and
that
is
a
smaller
brush
truck
that
holds
about
300
gallons
on
it,
and
that
has
been
at
the
fire
for
four
weeks
already.
N
So
we
have
been
actually
providing
resources
to
vegas
and
the
surrounding
communities
at
a
very
early
stage
into
the
fire.
They
asked
for
our
type
one
engines,
and
that
is
specifically
very
different-
that
was
coming
from
the
state
agencies
and
that's
who
asked
for
our
engines.
So
our
type
one
engines
are
more
structural
protections.
We
can't
drive
them
up
on
wilderness,
roads
or
stuff
like
that.
So.
D
N
Have
when
the
forest
service
asks
or
when
nathan
gets
the
request
to
proceed
in
getting
these
calls,
we
either
get
them
from
ryan
williams,
got
the
call-
and
I
can
have
him
speak
to
that
a
little
more
or
we
have
this,
the
forestry
called
nathan,
and
then
we
get
it
a
different
little
different
type.
So
right
now
we
have
our
type.
N
Three
engine
also
was
up
there
and
that's
a
little
bigger
truck
council
river
saw
it
at
the
gas
station
or
the
grocery
store
the
other
day
and
called
me
and
said
it
was
pretty
neat.
So
I
would
like
to
bring
that
in
when
it's
back
in
town
and
show
everybody,
because
it
is
totally
different
kind
of
engine
that
we've
never
had
in
the
city
before
so
retired.
Chief
eric
glitzenberg
was
able
to
purchase
that.
So
we
have
that
also
protecting
vegas,
and
then
we
have
three
structural
engines.
N
So
a
lot
of
the
times
when
I
send
people
out
it's
the
wildland
divisions
that
go
on
these
bigger
fires.
When
we
have
this
kind
of
incident
kind
of
we
put
everything
to
aside
and
we
send
everything
we
can
to
support
these
individuals.
So
normally
it's
nathan
and
we
send
one
or
two
trucks
out
to
support
them.
B
N
Work
correct,
mr,
come
through
yeah,
so
we've
actually
they've
sent
me
pictures
of
the
structural
guys
doing
the
same
work
that
the
wildland,
so
we
might
have
a
spot
fire.
That's
up
on
the
mountain
we've
been
doing
a
lot
of
work
and
nathan
can
test
this
in
the
las
vegas
watershed
area
and
we've
been
doing
a
lot
of
hiking
and
taking
out
hot
spots
and
being
able
to
not
just
stay
in
our
big
structural
trucks
and
not
be
able
to
help.
So
we've
been
able
to
do
that
also
so.
N
Department
is
city-wide,
so
every
one
of
our
wildland
employees,
our
fire
department,
employees,
are
certified
to
fight
wildland
fires.
So
it's
not
just
the
seven
that
nathan
has
it's.
The
hundred
and
eighty
that
I
have
in
the
department
on
a
daily
basis
that
could
fight
a
wildland
fire
and
a
certain
fight
to
do
it.
B
B
And
then
for
mr
williams,
you
talked
about-
and
this
is
just
the
question
for
me
who
worked
during
the
settle
grande
fires,
but
the
communication
piece
with
the
state
eoc
versus
people
making
direct
requests.
Has
that
improved
or
is
it
still
a
problem.
P
D
P
A
problem
I
think
there
has
been
improvements
at
the
state
level,
there's
always
going
to
be
a
certain
amount
of
chaos
in
this
kind
of
event,
and
there's.
B
I
Thank
you
mayor.
I
just
wanted
to
give
my
heartfelt
thanks
to
all
of
you
and
the
teams
and
people
that
are
helping
in
so
many
ways
that
we
don't
see,
and
I
mean
not
just
our
staff
but
volunteers
and
people
out
there
that
really
care
and
have
time
to
be
able
to
volunteer,
and
so
I
appreciate
everything
that
you
all
are
doing
for
coordination
efforts
and
the
fact
that
we
have
this.
You
know
potential
evacuees
set
up
in
case
that
we
need
that
in
the
future.
I
I
also
wanted
to
thank
you
specifically
this
weekend
for
the
community
preparedness
meeting
that
was
held
at
her
upper
canyon,
neighborhood
area.
It
was
very
helpful
I
think,
for
that
area.
That's
particularly
at
high
risk
for
wildland
fires,
because
they're
so
close
to
the
watershed,
and
I
just
wanted
to
give
a
shout
out
to
porfirio
chavarria
he's
such
a
good
resource
and
he's
so
good
with
our
communities.
I
mean
people
really
respond
to
him.
I
I
just
wanted
to
let
you
know
how
good
he
is
with
the
public
and
kyle
also
presented
on
behalf
of
brian
and
did
an
excellent
job
as
well.
So
I
just
wanted
to
let
you
know
that
we
have
such
great
resources
in
our
team
that
are
able
to
convey
things
so
that
people
don't
panic,
but
that
they're
proactive,
and
so
I
just
wanted
to
let
you
know
how
important
that
is
to
me
and
to
my
colleagues
that
we
have
staff
that
be
can
be
able
to
talk
to
and
communicate
with
the
public
in
that
way.
I
J
Thank
you
mayor.
I
thank
all
of
you.
I
think
I've
had
conversations
with
most
of
you
this
week
also
a
conversation
earlier
in
the
week
with
miss
mahels
helfek,
and
I
appreciate
it's
important
that
people
know
that
you
can
go
to
the
city
website
and
right
on
the
front
page.
J
You
can
learn
about
ready
set,
go.
You
can
learn
about
appropriate
ways
to
donate
appropriate
places
to
take
donations
updates
on
the
fires.
I
think
that
it's
we're
going
to
err
on
the
side
of
more
information
than
less
information
and
that
got
put
up
very
very
quickly.
I'm
deeply
appreciative
of
it
because
it's
information
that
people
need
to
very
quick.
They
don't
need
to
hunt
for
it.
You
go
to
the
city
website,
it's
right
on
the
front
page
and
it's
all
kinds
of
information.
J
J
We
we
got
a
pretty
long
way
to
go
so
we're
here
we're
willing
to
help,
and
thank
you
very,
very
much.
R
Thank
you,
mr
mayor.
I
want
to
thank
you
all
for
the
hard
work
that
you're
doing.
I
do
want
to
send
my
appreciation
to
director
ochoa
and
city
manager.
Mr
williams,
I
received
a
call
last
week
from
representative
ambrose
castiano.
R
They
were
looking
for
warehouse
space
to
put
stuff,
and
so
you
know
in
a
heartbeat,
you
guys
were
back
and
contacting
and
talking
to
them,
and
I
do
appreciate
that,
and
so
one
question
I
guess
that
just
comes
to
mind
is,
as
our
resources
are
being
pushed
out
there
for
the
much
needed
help.
R
I'm
assuming
our
brothers
and
sisters
in
the
county
and
others
are
ready
to
jump
in
in
case
we
have
any
kind
of
emergency
fire
of
some
sort.
So.
N
Mr
mayor
councilor,
garcia,
yeah,
I've
never
not
worried
about
santa
fe
first,
so
you
can
put
all
your
mind
at
eases.
I
everything
we
have
is
reserved
apparatus
that
are
up
there,
guys
that
volunteered
to
go
and
we
have
not
downed
any
vehicles.
We've
not
lowered
our
standards
of
34
minimum
staffing,
so
we
are
continuing
to
provide
the
best
service
here.
The
county
also
sent
people.
So
it's
not
just
us
sending
people
many
surrounding
at
neighborhoods
or
surrounding
villages.
Towns.
N
A
Thank
you.
Thanks
very
much.
It's
a
lot
of
work
nathan.
I
know
you've
been
briefing
us
every
morning
at
10
a.m.
On
the
dot
even
saturday
and
sunday,
you
were
zooming
in
to
keep
us
all
very
well
informed
and
your
work
is
very
much
appreciated
and
the
whole
crew
give
them
our
gratitude
and
support.
G
You
are
correct
item
7b
is
our
cultural
culture,
history,
art,
reconciliation
and
truth,
also
known
as
chart
quarterly
update,
it's
required
by
resolution
2021-6
and
2021-56.
G
I
All
right,
mr
mayor
city
councillors,
thank
you
so
much
for
very
excited
to
be
here
for
our
third
quarter,
update
on
the
culture,
history,
art,
reconciliation,
truth
initiative,
I'm
here
today
with
janiece
gareb
from
artful
life
she's
a
co-director
on
this
initiative
and
she'll
introduce
her
folks
in
just
a
moment.
I
just
want
to
highlight
some
of
the
things
that
have
been
going
on
and
accomplishments.
I
For,
since
we
started
and
through
a
community-centered
process,
they
have
over
7
7
500
engagements
with
people,
and
these
aren't
necessarily
duplicates
they've
had
27
opportunities
for
dialogue,
and
this
what's
really
important
about
the
dialogue
sessions
is
that
people
are
there
to
learn
they're
there
to
share,
but
most
importantly,
which
doesn't
happen.
That
often
is
they
take
the
time
to
listen
to
each
other.
I
So
the
way
that
it's
formatted
is
that
everyone
in
the
small
group
has
an
opportunity
to
share
and,
more
importantly,
to
listen
and
from
there
we
can
start
to
bridge
any
differences
and
really
focus
on
what
our
similarities
are.
They
continue.
Art
for
life
has
been
really
aware
and
cognizant
of
the
gaps
in
our
communities
and
whose
voices
aren't
at
the
table
yet-
and
I
know
janiece
will
go
through
that
as
we
go
through
the
presentation.
So
with
that
I'd
like
to
introduce
denise
and
her
team.
S
S
S
S
We
are
grateful
to
the
residents
of
the
city
and
county
of
santa
fe
who
have
taken
time
to
participate
in
charts
many
activities
we
as
a
reminder.
The
goal
of
the
char
project
is
to
foster
mutual
understanding
of
shared
values
among
the
people
of
santa
fe
or
okapoge.
From
diverse
backgrounds,
though,
sparked
by
controversies
about
monuments
and
statues.
S
S
So
our
activities
to
date,
I
think,
you've
seen
this
before
we
have
the
each
quarter.
We
are
now
in
the
third
quarter
or
just
past
the
third
quarter.
Actually,
so
in
previous
updates,
we
let
you
know
about
the
structure
and
the
process
over
time
that
how
we
have
structured
it
and
we've
reported
on
the
selection
of
the
team
and
the
administrative
structure
and
the
first
chart
survey,
which
is
complete
the
cultural
history
event
and
public
dialogues.
S
A
reminder
of
our
engagement
strategy
that
our
strategy
has
been
to
engage
with
the
santa
fe
community,
using
various
methods
to
reach
as
widely
and
as
deeply
into
the
community
as
possible.
As
for
your
instructions,
we
know
that
certain
people
have
access
to
technology
and
online
programs
have
the
leader
time
to
participate
in
events
may
be
more
comfortable,
one-on-one
versus
in
group
settings.
S
S
Some
of
the
highlights
for
the
third
quarter,
so
we.
S
S
Project,
that's
based
on
the
paper
monuments
project
that
is
in
our
contract,
with
a
proposal
workshop
a
film
and
dialogue
event
in
partnership
with
little
globe
and
the
launch
of
the
culture
blog.
We'll
give
you
a
little
bit
more
about
these
later.
So
I'm
going
to
hand
over
to
samisha
to
talk
about
the
next
set
of
slides.
U
U
Thank
you
so
much
for
this
opportunity.
As
of
now
our
outreach
through
email
blast,
newsletters,
email,
snail,
mail
and
phone
equals
around
18
148,
we
have
577
chart
email
contacts
and
509
city
of
santa
fe
chart
contacts.
Our
engagements
as
previously
mentioned
include
email,
phone
registration
for
events,
attendance
and
etc.
We
have
7559.
U
Our
in-person
activity
event
locations
have
included
just
to
name
a
few:
the
midtown
project
event,
santa
fe
community
convention
center
and
the
international
shakespeare
center.
U
Through
our
website,
we
have
quite
a
bit
of
traffic,
which
is
nice,
but
we've
had
5
600
sessions
and
with
a
total
of
3510
unique
visitors.
U
S
So
now
we'd
like
to
just
delve
into
some
of
our
project
activities
in
a
little
more
detail.
As
we
mentioned
in
an
earlier
slide,
we've
had
hosted
27,
facilitated
dialogue
sessions,
both
open
to
the
public
and
at
the
request
of
groups
or
organizations,
to
give
you
a
small
taste
of
a
dialogue
session.
I'd
like
to
play
a
two-minute
video
highlighting
our
march
dialogue
session
on
belonging
at
the
santa
fe
community
convention
center.
This
and
more
event,
videos
can
be
found
on
the
chart.
S
S
After
several
months
of
virtual
meetings
that
were
necessary
because
of
the
covert
pandemic,
the
event
was
held
on
a
sunday
afternoon
downtown
at
the
santa
fe
community
convention
center.
The
session
included
an
hour
of
one-on-one
conversations,
followed
by
facilitated
discussion
in
small
groups.
The
theme
for
the
event
was
belonging,
a
topic
that
was
sparked
by
responses
to
charts
first
public
survey.
S
S
Then
they
shared
two
stories
about
belonging
when
and
where
did
they
feel
a
strong
sense
of
belonging
in
santa
fe
when
and
where
did
they
feel
the
opposite
of
belonging
in
santa
fe?
After
a
break
with
refreshments,
participants
shifted
to
round
tables
to
address
a
few
more
questions
in
groups
of
four
to
six.
What
did
you
hear
your
fellow
son
of
fans
say
about
feelings
of
belonging
and
not
belonging?
S
S
A
S
So
that
one
of
the
other
main
things
that
we
do,
our
cultural
history
series
and
so
we've
had
two
events
in
the
last
quarter.
In
march
this
historian,
ellario
romero,
presented
a
journey
down
the
rio,
santa
fe
pueblo
spanish
mexican
history
of
the
santa
fe
river
communities.
S
S
In
april,
dr
seth
lowe
phd
a
renowned
expert
on
plazas,
especially
in
latin
america,
presented
on
the
challenges
and
opportunities
of
public
space
and
social
justice.
S
We
know
that
a
handful
of
speaking
events
will
not
get
even
close
to
exploring
the
depth
and
complexity
of
santa
fe
history
and
to
highlight
the
many
people's
places
and
events
that
happen
or
have
happened
here
to
help
fill
in
some
of
the
gaps
we
launched.
The
chart
culture
blog,
the
blog
is
open
for
submissions
to
date.
U
Let's
hope
I'm
going
to
focus
mainly
on
our
april
events.
U
On
april
21st
we
had
the
creative
plaza
art
activity
following
the
talk
that
janiece
just
spoke
about
by
seth
the
low,
and
that
was
hosted
at
the
santa
fe
community
convention
center
on
april
28th.
We
had
a
viewing.
S
So,
of
course,
one
of
the
activities
that's
going
on
behind
the
scenes
it
is
not
so
public
is
data
collection
from
all
of
our
many
ways
of
engaging
in
the
in
the
project.
Some
of
the
results
of
our
data
collection,
you're,
obviously
seeing
here
tonight
a
couple
of
highlights
to
indicate
the
amount
of
data
we've
already
collected
includes
150
pages
of
single-spaced
responses
to
the
first
survey,
142
pages
of
single-spaced,
detailed
notes
from
all
the
public
activities,
meetings
and
interviews
and,
of
course,
you've
seen
our
numbers
on
outreach
and
engagement
and
our
social
media
steps.
S
We
will
be
continuing
to
collect
data
until
the
end
of
the
project.
Now
I'd
like
to
hand
it
over
to
our
evaluator
alexis
kaminsky,
who
will
talk
about
the
first
chart?
Survey.
C
Chemical
members,
thank
you
for
this
opportunity.
I
think
you're
mostly
aware
of
the
three
crown
questions
that
we
used
for
the
first
survey
and
they
were
three
very
open-ended
questions.
The
first
one
was
about
history.
How
can
we
come
up
to
a
fuller
understanding
of
the
history
of
santa
fe?
C
For
their
children
and
their
children,
as
I
reported.
H
C
At
the
last
last
quarter
that
we
had
400
and
it's
actually
84-
respondents
from
the
city
and
county
of
santa
fe,
the
majority
of
them
were
older
residents
about
42
of
them
were
between
the
ages
of
60
and
79
and
23
were
between
the
ages
of
40
and
59..
C
About
a
little
over.
70
percent
were
from
three
zip
codes
from
501,
507
and
505.
C
I
thought
I
would
give
you
an
idea
of
why
we
asked
these
really
open-ended
questions,
because
it
might
seem
a
little
odd
and
we
used
them
primarily
to
inform
program
activities,
because
we
didn't
assume
that
we
knew
what
was
going
on
what
people
were
feeling
in
santa
fe.
We
heard
some
things
in
the
news,
but
we
wanted
to
get
a
fuller,
more
full
idea.
C
So
one
thing
that
we've
learned
is
issues
around
belonging
have
come
up,
so
there
were
some
public
dialogues
around
belonging.
Also,
we
are
using
the
results
to
help
focus
further
data
collection.
We
also
we
use
them
to
structure
a
lot
of
the
questions
in
the
second
survey.
C
And
we'll
also
use
the
results
to
contribute
to
the
final
report,
to
you
all,
and
there
are
some
strengths
and
limitations
to
this
approach,
which
I
want
to
honor
having
open-ended
responses,
as
I
said,
makes
it
possible
for
individuals
who
are
filling
out
the
surveys
to
enter
in
anywhere
they
are
whatever
they're
feeling,
which
is
really
good.
If
you
don't
know
what
the
domain
is
at
the
same
time,
a
good
thing
is
that
it's
very
context
sensitive.
So
it
really
picks
up
on
how
people
are
feeling
at
the
point
in
time.
C
And
where
people
were
pretty
preoccupied
about
what
was
happening
with
the
monuments,
we
were
still
under
covered
restrictions
and
those
things
really
do
come
out
in
the
responses,
and
just
one
other
comment
about
having
it
be
a
point
in
time.
D
D
C
C
C
Inclusivity
in
the
context
of
the
question
of
history
meant
that
multiple
perspectives
were
were
engaged
that
the
good
and
the
bad
were
also
incorporated
into
understandings
of
history,
and
that
it
includes
all
people
of
santa
fe
47
emphasized
education
in
learning
was
critical,
and
this
were
particularly
in
response
to
the
questions
about
history.
In
the
future,
45
made
comments
about
equity.
C
28
made
general
comments
about
monuments
and
statues.
Things
like
what
should
be
memorialized,
should
it
be
individuals?
Should
it
be
ideas?
Should
it
be
things
that
brings
the
community
together,
what
to
do
about
existing
monuments
that
people
might
find
offensive
and
how
to
maybe
better
contextualize?
Some
of
the
comments
22
percent
made
comments
about
the
environment.
C
Those
were
most
heavily
showed
most
heavily
in
the
future,
not
a
big
surprise.
People
are
really
concerned
about
climate
change
and
water
19
related
to
belonging.
Sometimes
those
were
about
who
didn't
belong
here
and
outsiders,
and
sometimes
it
was
about
people
who
had
been
here
for
generations
upon
generations.
C
I
think
it's
worth
noting
that
only
13
of
the
responses
were
very
angry
and
those
are
I
mean
you
know.
Big
powerful
statements
are
often
what
the
media
gravitates
to,
and
sometimes
they
seem
disproportionately
loud
and
large,
but
it's
not
the
majority
of
the
citizens
in
santa
fe,
and
I
think
that's
worth
recognizing
that
there
are
a
lot
of
people
here
who
really
want
this
city
and
the
county
to
be
stronger
together
and,
lastly,.
C
12
12
percent
of
comments
were
directly
about
the
obelisk
and
that
was
kind
of
loose,
inclusive
coding.
When
people
made
comments
about
what
happened
without
actually
naming
the
obelisk,
you
could
figure
out
what
they
were
talking
about
and
not
to
be
too
wonky.
But
I
just
want
to
give
you
a
minute
of
wonkiness,
because
you
might
be
wondering
where
do
these
numbers
come
from?
C
This
is
a
lot
of
words,
and
so
you
know
I've
been
working
with
a
small
group
of
the
facilitators
for
the
last
few
months
to
bring
more
heads
to
bear
on
the
responses.
You
know,
because
I.
C
So
we've
read
through
all
of
the
comments
multiple
times
and
then
we've
coded
bits
and
pieces
of
it
and
coding
is
just
like
tagging
bits
phrases
in
any
kind
of
corrupt.
C
All
of
those
we've
been
coding
coding
coding
put
it
in
a
qualitative
analysis
program
to
make
sure
it's
really
systematic
and
we've
also
done
word
searches
to
to
make
sure
that
we're
being
thorough
and
looked
at
some
some
code
presence
tables
and
figured
out
the
number
of
respondents,
not
responses,
not
the
number
of
times,
but
the
number
of
respondents
making
specific
kinds
of
comments
and
divided.
Those
numbers
like
the
whole
number
to
get
a
percentage.
S
Thanks
alexis,
so
that
was
a
little
bit
about
chart
survey
number
one
that
alexis
mentioned
happened
at
the
very
beginning
of
the
project
before
really
it
got.
S
S
S
S
Particular
groups
to
make
sure
where
we
know
we've
had.
We
need
more
responses
from
20
to
29
year
olds,
for
example,
and
spanish
speakers,
and
the
survey
is
available
already
on
our
website.
It
is
in
english
and
in
spanish,
and
we
also
have
you-
can
also
request
a
paper
copy
and
we'll
be
sending
that
out
and
having
that.
S
So,
almost
last
but
not
least,
implicit
bias
training.
So
we
were
required
by
our
contract
to
provide
implicit
bias,
training
for
the
city
of
santa
fe
leadership
and
to
yourselves.
In
april
we
held
two
sessions
for
city
leadership
presented
by
dr
finney
coleman,
and
you
can
see
his
bio
there
on
the
slide
and
just
a
note
that
85
percent
of
the
participants
express
their
interest
in
attending
more
such
sessions.
S
S
S
One-On-One
interviews
are
going
on
right
now,
our
monumental
dreams
and
conversations.
We
expect
two
public
events
to
display
all
of
the
proposals
that
santa
fans
have
submitted
to
us.
Our
charts
number
two
survey.
Obviously
I
just
talked
about
the
community
solutions
table
or
process
we're
going
to
have
a
culminating
event
at
a
local
park
and
invite
everybody
in
santa
fe,
but
especially
those
who
have
been
participating
in
the
process
and
then,
of
course,
our
final
report
and
recommendations.
S
S
We
have
just
begun
reviewing
attendee
data
gathering
the
considerable
amount
of
data
we've
collected
in
a
usable
form
and
setting
some
tentative
dates
for
meetings.
We
expect
that
the
participants
will
meet
over
a
weekend
in
early
july,
after
having
considerable
time,
we
hope
a
month
to
review
all
the
data
that
will
inform
their
recommendations,
and
this
group
will
be.
S
A
J
Thank
you
mayor
just
one
quick
question:
if
someone
were
to
go
to
the
chart
website,
is
it
obvious
on
the
front
page
how
they
can
participate
in
survey
number
two.
S
H
H
I've
got
two
quick
questions
and
the
first
one
alexis,
but
with
the
data,
and
it
revolves
more
so
around
the
first
survey-
and
I
appreciate
the
word
you
used
earlier
wonkiness
because
I'm
I'm
a
data
nerd.
I
love
to
get
the
data
and
really
dig
in,
and
so
my
question
revolves
around
are
not
only
we,
the
governing
body,
but
will
the
public
have
access
to
the
responses?
H
Okay-
and
I
guess
maybe
that's
a
question
for
janiece-
I
mean-
is
that.
S
D
S
H
Okay,
that
that's
great
just
because
I
know
some
folks
of
the
public
would
like
to
have
it
me
as
the
governing
body
member.
I
would
like
to
have
it.
I
know
if
it's
embargoed
understandable,
but
I
I
definitely
would
like
to
dig
into
that
data.
One
comment
around
some
of
the
data
that
was
presented
and
I
think
it
was
13
that
was
reported.
That
folks
were
angry.
H
That's
where
data
can
be
misleading
in
the
sense,
because
that
wasn't
a
direct
question
to
community
members.
They
were
so
open-ended
they're.
Only
13
said
I'm
angry,
whereas
if
we
asked
from
the
onset
give
us
a
range
from
one
to
five
likert
scale
very
angry
to
happy,
we
would
get
more
sufficient
data.
H
So
I
don't
like
it's
it's
very
misleading
in
that
sense,
and
I,
when
we
present
that
type
of
information
we
want,
we
want
to
make
sure
that
there's
sound
evidence
for
it
and
when
it's
open-ended
questions
it's
it
doesn't
create
that
strong
foundation.
For
that,
so
I
appreciate
what's
going
into
the
data
diving,
the
looking
at
the
analysis
and
tagging
and
coding,
etc.
H
But
but
I
I
think
that's
that's
a
concern
I
have
and
since
I
I'd
like
to
see
the
data
to
to
see
what
folks
are
saying
and
and
what
triggered
somebody
being
very
angry
in
that
sense,
I.
C
Appreciate
your
comment,
thank
you
very
much.
I
don't
know
if
very
angry
is
the
best
word.
Outrage
might
be
a
better
term
and
you're
correct.
H
No
absolutely-
and
I
appreciate
the
the
the
deep
dive
that's
currently
going
on
with
the
first
survey
and
what
will
be
happening
with
the
second
one,
which
is
going
to
be
more
easily
able
to
analyze.
In
that
sense.
The
second
question
I
got
is
for
denise
in
regards
to
the
community
solutions
table.
Do
we
know
how
many
folks
have
currently
qualified
for
that.
S
To
see
who
has
consistently
attended
and
we're,
including
not
only
the
dialogues
but
the
cultural
history
series,
the
art
activations
as
well,
so
we're
trying
to
whittle
that
down
to
who
actually
has
been.
You
know,
who've
been
participating,
obviously
more
than
one
and
and
we
do
have
quite
a
group
of
people
who
have
for
almost
any
event.
S
Is
pretty
big?
So
that's
what
we're
honing
in
on
right
now,
because
we
know
we
need
to
get
those
invitations
out
sooner.
H
Okay,
thank
you
so
much
and
if
I
might
make
one
recommendation,
given
that
we
haven't
determined
the
number
of
folks
that
have
qualified
we've
got
roughly
800
that
have
been
through
the
process
you
you
had
mentioned
that
we
were.
You
were
looking
at
the
end
of
july
to
having
this
community
solutions
table.
S
H
Thank
you
for
that
clarification.
I
guess
my
recommendation
comes
around.
H
If
we
have
a
great
number
of
folks,
we
might
have
to
have
two
of
these
and
the
reason,
being
summer
months,
folks
go
on
vacation
and
I'd
hate
for
somebody
who
have
had
gone
through
the
entire
process
and
then
not
be
able
to
participate
in
what
is
probably
the
most
important
part
of
the
process,
because
they're
out
of
town
and
they're
on
vacation,
just
as
valerie
is
out
of
town
for
a
vacation,
that's
been
planned
for
two
years.
H
We've
we've
got
folks
that
are
in
that
same
situation
and
we've
gotta
ensure
we're
creating
a
space
where
everybody
that's
went
through.
The
process
has
a
fair
opportunity
to
participate
in
next
community
solutions
table.
So
if
we
can
look
at
having
more
than
one,
I
think
that's
going
to
provide
the
best
outcome
for
us,
because
if
we
don't
and
folks
aren't
able
to
participate,
you're
gonna
have
some
very
angry
people,
and
I
I
don't
want
us
to
get
into
that
situation.
S
S
S
Already
have
through
the
first
survey,
a
whole
lot
of
recommendations
from
people,
so
we
want
everybody
to
be
heard.
You
know
first
of
all,
but
so
we
get
I
get
that
so
definitely
know
that
we
are
trying
to
do
this
process.
So
whether
someone
sits
on
a
table
or
not,
I
think
I'd
just
say
that
the
community
solutions
table
in
albuquerque.
D
S
D
S
Community
solutions
table,
they
invited
them
only
51
people
could
actually
do
it,
because
the
time
involved
is
say
a
month
of
looking
at
data
and
then
being
available.
So
we
expect
that
everyone
will
not
be
able
to,
but
we
wanted
you
to
know
that
there
were
the
other
people
who
can't
come
and
they
have
participated.
Their
voices
are
being
heard
as
well,
even
if
they
don't
make
it
on
the
table
for
some
for
some.
I
H
X
You
mayor
quick
question
on
the
surveys.
What
are
the,
what
is
the
public
being
told
about
confidentiality
with
with
respect
to
this
idea
that
the
public
have
access
to
responses?
X
S
S
And
some
demographic
information,
so
there's
no
names,
but
in
our
public
dialogues
and
our
notes,
we
do
have
names,
so
we
are
removing
names
and
either
using
initials
or
something
else
from
the
dialogue.
J
X
Okay,
I
I
do
think
that's
important
and
then
you
you
said
that
even
if
you
can't
participate
in
the
community
solutions
table,
if
even
if
you're,
eligible
and
you're
hearing
those
people
who
qualify
but
may
not
be
able
to
participate,
are
being
heard,
and
I
guess
the
the
extension
to
that
is.
Are
you
incorporating
what
you're
hearing
in
what
you're
going
to
be
bringing
forward?
So
it's
not
just
a
matter
of
you
know.
Z
Thank
you,
mr
mayor,
thank
you,
everyone
for
being
here
for
your
presentation
this
evening.
I
did
have
similar
questions
about
protecting
the
anonymity
of
anyone
who
is
providing
data,
and
I
think
my
concern
would
be.
I
know
with
some
qualitative
data
collection
there
can
be,
even
if
names
are
not
associated,
something
that
could
still
identify
an
individual
and
then
our
data
is
also
including
one-on-one
interviews
and
items
of
those
nature.
Z
So
I
I
think
that
I
would
like
to
see
caution
and
how
any
data
any
raw
data
is
available
to
the
public
and
really
you
know
something
as
simple
as
I
live
in
the
bellamy
neighborhood
and
I
grew
up
there
and
I
live
in
the
house
that
my
parents
raised
me,
and
you
know
that
that
simply
could
identify
somebody,
and
so
I
really
really
want
to
make
sure
that
we
are
cautious,
as
I
know
that
these
are
topics
that
can
be
sensitive
and
that
individuals
often
will
be
more
open
if
they
know
that
that
information
is
going
to
be
protected.
Z
So
I
think
that
that
is
a
a
much
larger
conversation
about
how
any
raw
data
is
made
available
to
the
public
and
even
members
of
the
governing
body,
so
I,
as
that,
is
being
considered.
I
want
to
be
hearing
more
about
that
before
we
make
any
final
decisions.
Thank
you.
C
B
Thank
you
mayor
the
101
interviews.
How
were
those
conducted
in
the
questions
that
were
asked?
Were
they
the
same
one
that
were
on
the
survey.
S
Yeah,
so
the
one-on-one
interviews
that
are
going
on
right
now
are
to
fill
some
of
the
gaps.
First
of
all,
so
we
know
the
20
to
29
year
old,
spanish
speaking
and
by
poc
community.
So
that's.
D
B
S
So,
although
we've
only
visited
three
where
we
actually,
everything
we're
doing
is
being
shared
to
for
the
whole
santa
fe
public
schools,
so
the
survey
for
instance,
and
others
we've
made
a
couple
of
classroom
visits.
That's
what
you
see.
One
of
our
team
members
and
artists
worked
with
one
of
the
classrooms,
we're
also
working
with
the
mayor's
youth
advisory
board
to
also
get
information
out
in
the
schools,
and
we
have.
We
just
did
an
event
at
one
of
the
schools
as
well.
Some
of
our
interns
were
for
three
interns
who
are
high
school
members.
S
B
All
right
and
then,
since
anonymity
and
confidentiality
are
being
protected.
Why
would
there
be
an
issue
with
getting
the
data
out
the
full
data
out
to
everyone.
S
We're
in
conversation
with
the
city
attorney
about
this
whole
subject.
So
until
until
we
get
some
kind
of
decision,
we're
gonna
we're
gonna,
keep
it
confidential.
Our
we
do
expect
that
those
who
are
a
part
of
the
community
solutions
table
will
we'll
be
signing
a
confidential
reality
agreement,
because
we
also
want
to
kind
of
control
how
the.
B
Q
Members
of
the
governing
body
council
rivera
the
way
I
would
answer
that
is
that
I'd
like
to
find
out
what
other
members
of
the
city
attorney's
office
have
already
opined
and
talked
to
them
about
it
from
what
you
said.
That
sounds
like
a
reasonable
approach,
but
I
need
to
see
what
I
need
to
know
what
they
know.
B
Ironic
that
we
were
trying
to
protect
anonymity
and
confidentiality
with
the
community
and
health
and
safety
task
force
group,
and
yet
transparency
was
a
priority
for
everyone
on
this
body
that
we
even
changed
the
resolution
to
make
sure
that
those
meetings
were
transparent,
and
here
we
are
now
arguing
the
opposite
side
for
an
anonymity
and
confidentiality.
B
So
yeah,
I'm
in
favor
of
the
data
being
put
out
once
it's
available,
and
I
hope
that
that's
the
opinion
of
the
attorney's
office.
Thank
you.
A
Thank
you
councillor.
I
denise.
I
have
one
question
the
most
for
me.
First
of
all,
thank
you
for
a
very
comprehensive
update
and
very
thorough
and
very
thoughtful
presentation.
The
sentence
that
struck
me
the
most
was
when
you
said
that
you
could
sense
a
significant
change
in
the
community
conversations.
A
Since
the
beginning
of
chart-
and
I'm
wondering
if
you
could
characterize
how
that
change
feels
what
are
the
adjectives,
the
from
two
chart,
that
is
in
your
mind,
somewhere
about,
we
started
here
in
terms
of
the
quality
of
our
community
engagement,
the
dialogues,
the
interpersonal
engagements
and
we're
now
over
here
on
a
different
path.
Can
you
flesh
that
out
a
little
bit
please.
U
Thank
you,
mr
mayor.
The
way
that
I
would
characterize
the
change
that
we've
seen
throughout
the
community
was
from
body
language
from
conversations
that
we've
had
at
our
very
first
event.
It
was
very
controversial
a
little
tense.
U
We
had
a
lot
of
responses
that
were
not
necessarily
what
we
were
trying
to
do
and
what
we
were
trying
to
accomplish,
but
as
people
have
continued
to
engage
in
the
process,
we've
seen
a
lot
of
opening
of
body
language.
A
lot
of
smiling
a
lot
of
participation
in
one
particular
one
of
our
art
activation
projects.
U
U
I
want
to
hear
what
your
point
of
view
is,
and
so,
as
you
kind
of
get
the
opportunity
to
see
those
community
members
opening
up
to
the
process
and
being
more
open
to
their
neighbors
and
having
conversations
and
one
of
the
fun
things
about
hanging
around
a
chart,
project
activation
or
any
of
those
events
that
we
have
is
that
afterwards
people
are
actually
starting
to
communicate
with
one
another.
So
they
went
from
you
know,
I'm
coming
in,
I'm
angry,
I'm
leaving
angry
to
I'm
coming
in
and
now
I'm
engaging
with
other
community
members.
U
A
G
G
Y
Y
Appreciate
that,
thank
you,
mr
mayor
governing
body.
I
know
that
we've
spoken
many
times
in
the
last
few
weeks
about
the
status
of
our
audit
and
what
we're
doing
as
part
of
my
presentation
as
city
manager
later
tonight,
I'll
be
talking
a
little
bit
about
some
of
the
things
that
are
happening
within
the
finance
department,
things
that
we're
working
on,
etc
and
so
I'll
be
happy
to
fill
you
on
that.
Y
Within
the
letter
we
received
from
cla
when
they
withdrew
from
the
audit.
Beyond
that,
I
will
defer
details
to
acting
finance
director,
lotera
and
deputy
acting
finance,
director,
vandal
and
I'll
pass
it
over
to
them.
T
Thank
you
very
much,
mr
mayor
members
of
the
governing
body
city
manager,
you're.
T
D
T
Okay,
sorry
thank
you
for
the
opportunity
to
provide
you
with
an
update
on
the.
D
Q
Q
Our
contractors
clifton
I
knocked
listen
but
redw,
have-
I
think
I
spoke
about
this
at
the
finance
committee
meeting.
They
were.
They
were
required
to
do
a
one-to-one
match
between
what
was
going
on
in
the
general
ledger
and
the
bank
transactions
since
the
25th
when
they
withdrew
approximately
300.
Q
000
transactions
have
been
reviewed,
those
were
all
deposits
matched
up
to
what
was
in
the
general
ledger.
At
the
beginning,
we
started
with
about
a
4.6
million
dollar
difference,
we're
at
a
1.4
million
dollar
difference
and
the
contractors
continue
to
work
toward
that.
Q
We
I
have
requested,
or
actually
directed
the
contractors,
to
redo
all
the
bank
reconciliations
which
they're
in
the
process
of
doing
now.
There
are
approximately
eight
bank
accounts
that
feed
into
one
general
operating
account.
Some
some
of
the
bank
accounts
are
in
and
out
accounts
where
money
goes
in
at
specific
revenue
types
for
the
day
and
then,
at
the
end
of
the
day,
they're
swept
up
into
the
general.
Q
At
the
same
time,
we
have
disbursements
that
are
going
out.
Disbursements
had
already
been
reconciled.
I
think
it's
important
to
understand
the
magnitude
of
the
number
of
transactions.
Approximately
153,
close
254
000
transactions
hit
the.
Q
Related
to
cash,
so
it's
a
big
pool
of
items.
The
problematic
part
was
matching
the
revenues
because,
when
our
deposits
are
recorded
into
the
general
ledger
in
the
munich
system,
a
number
of
the
tr
of
those.
In
fact,
a
good
number
of
those
transactions
are
recorded
as
batch
transactions,
meaning
there
could
be
anywhere
from
one
to
ten
deposits
with
quite.
AA
Q
The
other
thing
we're
re
re-reviewing,
while
we're
waiting
to
receive
direction
from
the
state
auditor
as
to
how
we're
going
to
select
the
next
auditor
or
how
the
next
auditor
is
going
to
be
selected
for
us,
we're
re-reviewing
all
the
work
with
the
general
contractor
redw
that
has
been
done
so
far.
It's
given
us
a
chance
to
step
back
and
make
sure
that
there
aren't
any
other
holes
within.
D
Q
Q
Thank
you.
Both
questions.
H
Maybe
goes
for
mister
bad
honor,
just
given
your
expertise
and
experience
dealing
with
this
situation.
Like
this
city
manager,
blair
mentioned
that
the
state
auditor
has
set
up
a
meeting
with
us
in
state
and
local
next
week.
Q
H
B
We
beat
you
up
with
some
tough
questions
and
that's
really
our
job,
as
is
being
elected
officials,
is
to
ask
those
harder
questions,
and
I
know
neither
one
of
you
were
the
director
at
the
time
and
you
know
you
had
smaller
roles,
but
you
stood
there.
You
answered
questions
and
you
really
took
some
some
tough
things,
issues
and
questions
from
us
and
I
just
wanted
to
tell
you
how
much
I
appreciate
that
and
nothing
personal
involved
in
it.
B
I
hope
you
understand
that
it
was
just
doing
the
public's
business
and
asking
the
tough
questions
so,
but
after
hearing
you
guys
after
that
meeting,
I
feel
comfortable
that
this
ship
will
be
righted.
So
thank
you.
Z
Z
We
did
take
a
good
two
hours
to
dive
into
this,
so
that
was
a
very
detailed
conversation
as
council
rivera
alluded
to
some
very
tough
questions
and
he's
very
right
to
recognize
staff
here
who
spent
the
time
to
answer
those
questions
and
really
discuss
some
very
complex
issues,
especially
if
you
are
not
somebody
that
spends
your
life
in
the
finance
world
to
understand.
So
I
do
also
want
to
thank
you
for
that
and
refer
members
of
the
public
to
that
meeting.
That
would
have
been
what
was
the
date
last
monday.
Z
Anybody
dealer
monday
may
2nd,
so
that
is
on
youtube
and
really
does
a
very
good
job
discussing
what
I
feel
are
really
the
key
key
pieces
that
we
need
to
discuss
here.
What
do
we
know
went
wrong?
What
do
we
do
next?
How
do
we
fix
it,
both
in
the
short
term,
the
medium
term
and
the
long
term?
Z
So
I
do
want
to
thank
you
both
again
for
being
there
and
for
that
discussion,
as
well
as
recognize
your
team.
As
I
know,
they're
working
really
hard.
Thank
you.
That's
all.
A
G
Now
we
don't
say
you're
muted
anyway.
Sorry,
my
own
joke
next
on
the
item
is
the
approval
of
the
consent
agenda.
Can.
G
A
Thank
you
for
knowing
the
rules
in
that
case,
could
you
call
the
role.
A
A
Y
Here,
weber,
members
of
the
governing
body,
I
apologize
to
some
extent.
My
I
don't
know
if
it
is
the
fire
smoke
or
what
but
my
asthma
kicked
in
about
an
hour
ago.
So
that's
why
I'm
giving
you
a
little
extra
huskiness
in
the
voice
tonight.
Y
First
of
all,
I
want
to
speak
a
little
bit
about
the
fire
as
well.
Clearly,
we
have
tremendous
gratitude
for
the
men
and
women
in
our
fire
department
who
are
helping
our
new
mexican
family
to
the
north
fire,
but
I
just
want
to
really
make
a
point
to
commend
the
entire
city
of
santa
fe
team
that
has
really
been
willing
and
able
at
a
moment's
notice,
to
step
in
and
help
council
garcia.
Y
You
mentioned
earlier
friday,
saturday,
sunday
night
afternoon,
doesn't
matter
the
time
staff
have
their
cell
phones
with
them
right
now
and
they're
really
pitching.
In
one
example,
I
would
tell
you
is
on
saturday
mayor
weber,
director
ochoa
and
I
were
with
brian
williams
at
the
elevator
chavez
center,
and
we
knew
that
we
had.
It
was
conveyed
to
us
that
we
have
lunches
and
dinners
provided
for
already
from
a
gracious
community
partner,
but
we
didn't
have
breakfast.
So
I
got
a
new
deputy
manager
on
the
phone
who
reached
out
to
randy
randall.
Y
And
was
able
by
sunday
morning
to
have
identified
that
once
we
have
residents
there,
breakfast
is
now
provided
as
well.
Our
deputy
manager
is
also
able
to
work
with
some
of
our
state
partners
and
others
to
enable
that
will
have
mobile
charging
units
available
for
any
evacuees
who
come
to
stay
at
our
centers.
Y
It
seems
like
it's
small
to
us,
not
a
big
deal,
but
historically
they
have
had
to
create
these
really
complicated
daisy
chains
of
power,
cords
and
and
chargers,
and,
as
you
might
expect,
if
you
are
at
cleaning
your
home
being
able
to
stay
in
touch
with
your
family
and
your
friends
and
your
contacts
is
significantly
important.
So
that's
a
big
deal
for
us
and
we're
really
grateful
for
everyone
who
has
chipped
in
and
I'm
grateful
to
you
all
as
well.
You
all
have
been
sharing
questions
and
passing
on
information
to
us.
Y
That's
been
useful
in
standing
up
the
best
support
we
can.
I
was
quoted
in
the
reporter.
I
think
a
couple
days
ago
to
say
that
really
the
motto
of
what
we've
laid
down
for
our
city
leadership
is
that
the
cost
of
whatever
we're
doing
is
secondary
to
doing
as
much
as
we
can
to
help
anybody
in
this
community
who
needs
help
from
this
fire,
and
we
will
continue
to
act
in
that
way
and
keep
you
informed
of
what's
happening.
Y
Y
I
expect
that
we
will
be
posting
the
job
description
for
the
new
finance
direct
position,
probably
tomorrow,
it'll
be
this
week
for
sure,
but
hopefully,
tomorrow,
we've
been
taking
a
few
days
for
both
mayor
and
I
look
at
it
for
both
acting
director,
lotero
deputy
hacking,
acting
deputy
director
bhavano
and
the
deputy
manager
myself
to
really
take
a
moment
to
think
about
what
is
it
that
we
need
in
a
21st
century
finance
director?
What
skills?
Y
What
are
the
things
we
want
to
get
out
of
this
individual
and
so
we'll
be
posting
that
again
very
soon
I'll
share
that
link
with
you
all.
If
you
all
have
candidates,
you
think,
would
be
great
we'd
love
to
get
those
people
to
apply
as
well.
In
addition
to
that,
we
spent
some
considerable
time
last
week
as
a
team.
The
folks
I
just
mentioned-
I'm
not
gonna,
write
authorities
because
clearly,
I'm
struggling
to
say
them,
but
to.
Y
So,
outside
of
the
finance
director
position,
I'm
just
going
to
call
them
acting
director
lotero
and
acting
deputy
director
patano
we're
able
to
identify
four
other
priority
positions:
those
are
a
treasury
officer,
a
controller
and
a
grants
manager,
as
I
understand
that
those
three
positions
have
already
been
posted.
The
fourth
is
a
compliance
officer
position
that
they're
in
the
process
of
creating
right
now,
so
that
that
can
be
posted
as
well.
Y
My
new
deputy
city
manager,
layla
archuleta
maestas,
is
the
gas
pedal
on
these
positions,
making
sure
that
we
are
moving
with
every
step
of
the
process
as
quickly
as
possible
to
get
those
positions
filled
beyond
that.
We've
also
started
having
some
real
conversations
around.
In
addition
to
hiring
people
are
there
things
that
need
to
be
moved
or
people
are
things
that
need
to
be
moved
within
the
current
finance
department?
Y
Should
some
people
report
to
new
supervisors
are
people
in
the
right
spot
to
really
contribute
the
most
of
their
skills
to
what's
happening
within
the
finance
department?
We're
looking
at
training.
Are
there
employees
who
need
to
learn
more
about
munis
who
didn't
get
any
munis
training
that
need
to
understand
more
about
general
ledgers
or
trial
balances,
whatever
the
case
may
be,
and
so
we're
trying
to
build
deal
with
this
in
the
short
term
and
in
the
longer
term
as
well?
So
there's
a
lot
of
movement.
Y
That's
going
on
right
now,
but
I
think,
based
on
the
on
what
you're
hearing
from
both
acting
director
lotero
and
acting
deputy
director
bahrano,
I
think
there
really
is
a
general
sense
that
we're
moving
in
the
right
direction.
I
was
back
in
the
budget
office
this
afternoon
and
there
really
was
an
energy
and
excitement
from
the
staff
who
were
there
about
the
direction
we're
headed
and
what
we're
doing,
and
so
we
are
going
to
continue
to
be
as
open
and
transparent
with
you.
Y
We
know
that,
in
addition
to
the
audit,
people
are
concerned
about
other
things
that
happen
in
the
finance
department,
and
so
we
are
meeting
regularly
both
to
be
talking
about
our
arpa
dollars
and
the
fy
23
budget
to
make
sure
that
any
reporting
requirements
either
from
the
state
or
the
federal
government
are
being
met
and
that
any
sort
of
deadlines
and
metrics
are
being
mapped
out
in
a
work
plan
that
we
can
share
with
you
and
share
with
ourselves
so
that
we,
that
will
give
you
confidence
that
you
have
the
data
that
we
are
moving
in
the
right
direction
and
we're
being
as
open
and
transparent
with
you
as
possible.
Y
Okay,
I've
dropped
your
name
a
few
times
now,
but
I'm
excited
to
tell
you
that
our
new
deputy
city
manager,
leila
archuletamia,
has
started
she's,
crushing
it
she's
doing
a
great
job
right
out
of
the
gate
she's
not
with
us
tonight,
because
you
know
she
got
her
masters
in
public
administration
from
unm
two
years
ago
because
of
covid.
They
didn't
get
to
have
a
graduation
ceremony
and
they
called
her
last
week
and
said
we're
gonna
march.
Y
We'd
love
you
to
march
with
us
so
she's
at
unm
right
now
getting
her
degree,
which
is
really
great,
but
hopefully
you
all
will
get
the
chance
to
meet
her
in
person
here
very
soon.
She
jumped
in
with
both
feet
around
finance
issues,
hr
issues,
she's
been
meeting
regularly
with
hr
director
bernard
at
salazar
and
with
acting
director,
lotero
and
deputy
patano,
and
so
we're
really
excited
about.
Y
What's
going
to
be
some,
what
will
primarily
be
internal
changes
about
how
we
run
city
government,
but
we'll
go
a
really
long
way
to
improving
the
way
that
we
work
together
in
city
government
and
the
way
in
which
we
serve
all
the
residents
of
santa
fe.
So
it's
really
pretty
in
a
very
nerdy
internal
government
kind
of
way
it's
very
exciting.
Y
I
am
delinquent
in
sending
to
you
the
most
recent
contracts
that
I
signed
last
month
and
the
most
recent
grt.
That
will
happen
if
not
tonight,
tomorrow,
I'm
gonna
flag
for
you.
I
don't
have
actual
details
for
you
yet,
but
I
believe
may
23rd
that
afternoon.
Y
At
some
point
we
are
going
to
have
an
official
swearing-in
ceremony
for
chief
paul
joy
and
promotion
ceremonies
for
the
other
people
in
the
department
who
moved
up,
and
so
there
is
an
official
document
of
some
sort
that
he's
working
to
formalize
and
when
that
gets
done,
we'll
have
that
for
you,
but
I
suspect,
sometime
that
afternoon
you
will
be
getting
the
invitation
to
participate
in
that
swearing-in
ceremony.
The
last
thing
I
want
to
flag
is
that
we've
had
a
couple
meaningful
conversations
in
the
last
few
weeks
about
our
mutus
upgrade
that's
coming.
Y
It
gets
like
our
audit.
It
gets
pretty
complicated
pretty
fast,
but
we
are
in
the
process
of
working
towards
upgrading
our
entire
immune
system
in
the
first
of
the
next
calendar
year
so
january
of
23.,
and
what
we're
doing
now
is
identifying
doing
this
in
a
really
inclusive
way
for
our
city
staff,
so
that
the
needs
of
our
primary
users,
which
frankly,
are
hr.
Y
I
t
and
finance
to
lesser
extent,
people
like
me
who
I
go
in
and
I
approve
personnel
actions
and
things
like
that,
but
the
people
are
living
in
the
day-to-day
that
right
now.
We're
in
a
position
that
they
can
it's
a
term
of
art
that
I
learned
recently
that
they
can
go
into
the
sandbox
and
start
playing
around
with
what
will
be
the
new
version
of
the
system
and
that
the
version
that
we're
stepping
into
right
now
is
currently
being
used
by
some
600.
Y
I've
had
a
conversation
with
finance
chair
romero,
worth
about
figuring
out
a
way
if
there's
value
at
either
a
finance
committee
meeting
or
some
other
session
in
at
least
giving
you
all
a
brief
walk
through
of
what
venus
looks
like
now,
what
it's
going
to
look
like
in
the
future
and
again
just
to
give
you
some
of
the
peace
of
mind.
I
think
there
are
some
questions
around
this,
in
particular
at
the
last
week's
finance
committee
meeting
about
what
does
the
system
do,
and
what
can
we
do
to
make
it
better
and
so.
Y
Mr
mayor
governing
body,
thank
you
all
very
much
appreciate
it.
Thank
you
very
much.
A
And
we
have
esther
chavez
has
joined
us.
So
let's
put
that
into
the
record
that
we're
now
at
full
strength.
Ordinarily,
we
would
go
next
to
matters
from
the
city
attorney
and
go
into
an
executive
session
around
issues
of
litigation.
A
A
I
wonder
if
the
members
of
the
governing
body
want
to
amend
the
agenda
so
that
we,
for
example,
take
up
the
communications
from
the
governing
body.
It
will
take
probably
10
minutes
and
then
go
to
petitions
from
the
floor
and
then
come
back
to
the
executive
session
councilwoman.
Mr.
Q
Mr
mayor
members
of
the
governing
body-
it's
just
me
tonight,
so
I'm
I'll
serve
at
the
pleasure
of
the
governing.
A
Body,
okay,
so
we
can.
We
can
move
the
executive
session
to
later
in
our
session.
Of
course,
we
still
and
still
plunge
forward
on
other
matters
and
just
get
to
petitions
from
the
floor
as
a
matter
of
business.
So
can
I
get
a
motion
to
amend
the
agenda
to
that
effect?
Please.
Z
A
So
the
motion
is
made
and
seconded
to
amend
the
agenda
so
that
the
executive
session
would
come
at
the
end
of
our
of
our
work
tonight.
Is
this
roll
call
or
are
we
doing
voice
votes
now?
Madam
clerk.
G
AB
H
H
G
G
That
you
true
it
is
I'm
going
to
go
ahead
and
oh
there
we
go
give
myself
a
quick
moment
from
that.
I
do.
M
G
G
These
filters
do
remove
smaller
air
particles
and
they're
used
to
keep
interior
air
free
from
the
presence
of
coven
and
other
airborne
contaminants.
So
I
just
want
to
note
that
also
behind
you
all,
we
do
have
an
extra
large
purifier
when
we
are
not
in
session,
it's
actually
near
our
time
keeping
machines
outside.
So
we
do
switch
that
and
then
standard
to
other
areas
in
city,
hall
and
city
offices
across
across
our
city.
G
There
was
a
disinfectant
for
high-touch
areas,
so
just
wanted
to
say
thank
you
to
our
facilities,
team
and
being
diligent,
making
sure
that
this
room
and,
of
course,
city
hall
and
all
of
our
facilities,
have
really
had
additional
attention
over
the
last
few
years.
Now
so
anyways
thanks
to
our
facilities
team,
I
do
want
to
just
quickly
note.
I
think
some
of
you
saw
some
videos.
We
started
running
on
hutton
and
or
movie
screens.
We
do
have
two
videos
that
were
submitted
there,
but
from
environmental
services
department.
G
G
It's
also
streaming
in
theaters
before
movies
start,
so
that
kicks
me
into
my
next
segment.
We're
going
to
be
sharing
these
videos
before
our
santa
fe
summer
movie
series,
which
is
of
course
kicking
off
in
june,
and
I'm
very
excited
to
have
this
event
back.
We
will
be
showing
movies
on
friday
nights
june
10th
june,
17th
july,
1st
july,
8th
and
july
15th
I'll
be
sending
out
information
for
those,
and
I
just
want
to
note
that
we
are
using
new
screens
this
year,
so
we
can
start
the
movies
much
earlier.
G
I
know
there's
probably
some
people
who
will
enjoy
that
they
can
start
at
six
when
the
sun
is
still
up
and
not
at
9pm.
One
more
quick
note:
redistricting
proposals
are
available
for
public
review
right
now.
So
if
anybody
would
like
to
review
the
current
proposals,
they
are
available
on
our
city
website,
which
is
santa
fe
nm.gov,
and
if
you
just
scroll
down
there
is
a
little
box
that
says
redistricting
there's
several
maps.
We
also
have
loaded
any
changes
in
population
for
each
of
the
proposals.
G
G
Proposals
are
available
online
and
councilwoman
lindell
beat
me
to
this
earlier,
but
we
did
stand
up
a
very,
I
think,
informative
fire
page.
It
is,
you
can
link
from
it
link
to
it
from
our
home
page,
but
if
not,
you
can
also
just
type
in
santafanm.gov.
G
Wildfireinfo2022
and
there's
lots
of
great
information
again,
I
actually
just
want
to
thank
everybody.
Who's
made
coming
back
in
person
possible
iet
has
really
been
instrumental
in
testing
technology.
Ensuring
our
streaming
is
working.
G
Staff
from
the
clerk's
office
attorney's
office
and
from
our
community
engagement
side
have
also
all
been
helpful
for
that,
and
I
do
want
to
note
that
we
are
working
on
legislation
to
allow
governing
body
members
to
and
committee
members
to
participate
in
meetings
remotely.
So
I
know
that
that's
a
question.
That's
come
up
about
hybrid
and
as
soon
as
we
have
legislation
in
place,
it's
something
we're
looking
to
accommodate,
but
I
have
received
questions.
G
So
I
just
want
to
remind
everybody
that
the
state's
open
meeting
act
requires
boards
commission
committee
members
to
participate
in
person
unless
it's
difficult
or
impossible
to
be
present,
and
our
city
law
also
requires
that
there
be
a
declared
emergency.
That's
the
legislation,
we're
working
on
to
change
that
so
anyways.
Just
a
few
quick
updates
and
again
I'm
super
excited
that
we're
back
it's
fun
and
also
thank
you
so
much
to
everyone.
That's
made
it
possible
from
our
city
team.
A
AC
A
Person
councilor
lee
garcia
communications
from
you.
R
Just
to
thank
you
to
the
staff
again
for
their
diligence
in
their
cooperation
with
the
communities
that
are
fighting
the
fires,
and
it's
definitely
something
that's
going
to
be
not
just
now,
but
it's
going
to
be
a
big,
a
long
process
to
rehabilitate
and
support
these
communities
once
the
fire's
out
and
get
back
on
track
to
to
living
their
lives
again.
So
thanks
again,.
Z
Thank
you
so
much,
mr
mayor,
sorry
still
getting
used
to
these
things.
I
do
really
want
to
thank
everybody
as
counselor
leakers,
you
just
mentioned
fighting
the
fires.
We
know
this
is
a
huge
emergency
within
our
state
and
really
watching
the
community
as
well
as
our
staff
come
together
to
do
whatever
we
can
has
been
encouraging.
I
suppose
I'm
not
quite
sure
encouraging
is
a
word
that
I
would
use
in
this
situation
normally,
but
it
is
really
wonderful
to
see
the
way
that
we
can
all
pull
together.
Z
It
is
wonderful
to
be
back
here
with
everybody,
really
really
wonderful
and
thank
you
so
much
to
the
staff.
I
was
here
on
thursday
or
friday
last
week
and
there
was
the
it
team.
They
were
all
in
here
trying
to
test
different
things.
So
a
lot
of
work
went
into
bringing
us
back
in
person,
and
I
really
want
to
thank
everybody
for
that
work.
I
know
that
as
we
continue
to
move
into
hybrid,
that
is
also
going
to
be
a
heavy
lift
and
a
lot
of
people
don't
see
what's
going
on
behind
the
scenes.
Z
So,
thank
you
so
much
everyone
for
your
troubleshooting
for
figuring
out
how
we
can
best
make
this
work,
how
we
can
take
kind
of
what
do
we
want
to
take
from
kovic?
That's
been
one
of
the
questions
that
I've
had
and
definitely
that
ability
for
public
to
beam
in
virtually.
You
know
it's
a
great
way
that
we
can
expand
public
participation.
So
thank
you
so
much
for
your
work
on
moving
forward
with
that.
Z
The
other
thing
I
want
to
mention
is
that
it
is
bike
month
this
month
and
there's
some
really
cool
events
going
on
this
weekend.
There's
the
art
by
bike
event
that
will
be
taking
place,
starting
at
frenchie's
field.
There's
a
pop-up,
I'm
sure
counselor
garcia
can
michael
garcia
can
speak
to
this
in
more
detail
than
I
can,
and
I
will
let
him
do
so,
but
that
is
going
to
be
really
fun
event
and
I
really
encourage
the
community
to
come
out.
Z
There's
also
a
alley
cat
race
which
I'm
not
quite
sure
where
the
term
comes
from,
but
apparently
it's
a
it's
a
race
where
you
go
and
collect
beads,
and
then
you
come
back.
Z
So
that's
starting
at
tumble
route
and
one
of
my
constituents
and
also
a
member
of
b-pack,
is
organizing
that
mr
phil
lucero,
so
I
highly
encourage
everybody
to
get
out
there
there's
a
lot
of
wonderful
opportunities
for
us
to
come
together
as
a
community
as
we
move
forward
in
december,
and
I
am
really
looking
forward
to
seeing
everybody
out
there
and
getting
to
interact
with
people
again.
It's
it's
been
a
long.
Z
X
Thank
you
mayor.
I
just
pick
up
on
good
things
that
have
come
out
of
this
pandemic
and
covid.
X
I
think
the
ability
for
the
public
to
be
able
to
watch
not
only
the
council
meetings,
the
governing
body
meetings,
but
our
three
standing
committee
meetings
on
demand
and
live
is
something
that
I
had
advocated
for
when
I
was
first
elected,
and
you
know
it
was
an
impossibility
then,
but
covet
nothing
like
an
emergency
to
you,
know
kind
of
move
a
barrel
on
things
that
I
think
are
overall
beneficial,
so
just
want
to
flag
that
you
can
continue
to
watch
the
three
standing
committees
of
the
council
on
demand
and
live,
and
that's
a
great
thing
also
just
want
to
thank
our
staff
and
all
the
work.
X
That's
going
on
echoing
councillor
lee
garcia
and
supporting
the
communities
that
are
around
us
and
that
are
really
struggling
and
it
is
gonna,
be
a
long
haul
and
I
know
it's
been
a
lot
of
work.
So
I
really
want
to
make
sure
that
we're
acknowledging
our
folks
for
all
the
work,
they're
doing
and
also
the
community
for
the
contributions
they're,
making
both
of
things
and
of
money
and
of
their
time,
some
of
them.
So
just
a
really
great
effort,
and
thank
you
thank
you,
mayor.
I
Thank
you
mayor
just
a
lot
of
thank
yous.
First.
As
I
said,
the
emergency
preparedness
training
for
the
upper
canyon,
road
association
was
really
special.
A
lot
of
turnout
from
the
neighborhood
area,
so
just
wanted
to
thank
staff
again
for
that
very
informative
event.
I
also
wanted
to
thank
the
arts
and
culture
department
for
organizing
the
ribbon
cutting
for
sophia
van
lucen.
I
It
was
very
special
to
be
out
in
public
and
to
honor
a
artist,
a
young
artist,
so
she
has
a
piece:
that's
on
the
north
west
side
of
the
convention
center.
So
please
check
it
out
and
also
just
wanted
to
thank
lifelink
for
the
mental
health
and
wellness
mental
health
and
well-being
community
festival.
There's
a
lot
of
good
information
from
providers
in
the
community.
There
was
performances
and
there
was
also
just
good
vibes
and
people
feeling
good
about
being
around
each
other
and
last
just
I'll.
I
H
Thank
you,
mr
mayor.
I
guess
I'll.
H
Bike
month,
since
a
couple
of
folks
mentioned
it,
as
I
mentioned
last
week,
last
meeting
maze
bike
month,
tons
of
events
going
on
so
much
I
can't
even
rattle
off.
I
would
direct
everybody
to
santa
fe
bike
month.
Dot
com
full
list
of
what's
happening.
You've
got
things
like
talks
as
councillor
cassette
mentioned
kind
of
a
what
I
would
call
a
bar
crawl
for
lack
of
better
birds
on
a
bike
be
safe.
H
Wear
your
helmet
baikou,
as
I
mentioned
in
laughing,
I'm
definitely
going
to
hit
this
baiku
thing
up,
but
I
I
going
to
put
my
haiku
skills
to
the
test
and
my
biking
skills
to
the
test,
and
I
challenge
any
of
my
colleagues
here
on
the
day
is
to
let's
see
what
kind
of
linguistic
skills
we
have
here,
and
maybe
we
can
challenge
some
folks
in
the
community.
H
But
but
in
all
honesty,
this
is
a
great
opportunity
for
folks
to
really
engage
and
be
active
and
take
advantage
of
the
amenities
that
the
city
is
providing
in
regards
to
biking.
We're
really
trying
to
be
progressive
and
making
santa
fe
become,
if
not
the
best
bike
friendly
city
in
the
state.
So
again
santa
fe
bike
month,
dot
com
check
it
out.
H
Tomorrow,
we've
got
the
ribbon,
cutting
that
director
kameyama
mentioned
over
at
salvador,
pettis
allah
espida,
that's
the
name
of
the
mural
life.
Is
I
mean
water
is
life
the
super
pumped
to
check
that
out
that
the
salvador
pet
is
full?
It's
a
pool.
I
grew
up
going
to
and
I
had
a
sneak
peek
at
it
and
it's
an
awesome
mural.
H
So
I
encourage
the
community
to
get
out
and
check
that
out
and
last
just
many
many
kudos
to
the
team
that
it
took
to
get
this
room
prepped
for
us
to
be
here
I
mean
it
all
the
folks
making
the
magic
happen
behind
the
scenes.
Thank
you.
I
just
want
to
take
my
hat
off
to
you
and
give
you
a
now.
I
can
give
you
a
public
safe,
high
five.
So
after
this
all
the
I.t
folks,
if
I
haven't
given
you
a
high
five
already
just
know
it's
coming
and
then
to
everybody.
Y
H
It's
awesome
to
see
everybody
here
this
evening.
I
I
we
sometimes
see
each
other
in
person,
but
there's
nothing
like
us
having
a
meeting
in
person,
so
I
look
forward
to
having
meetings
again
and
everybody
being
safe
and
yeah.
Let's,
let's
get
some
great
work
done
for
the
city.
Thank
you,
mr
mark.
Thank
you
councillor.
H
B
Thank
you
man.
I
too
want
to
thank
all
the
staff
that
prepared
this
room
so
that
we
could
be
here
this
evening.
We
started
monday
was
a
really
fast
meeting,
so
I'm
not
sure
we
got
much
testing
out
of
it,
but
they
they
did
a
great
job
and
glad
that
we're
here
tonight,
along
with
the
firefighters
and
with
everyone
that
we
have
volunteering
to
work
around
the
fires
directly,
I
want
to
thank
their
families
as
well,
because
they're
putting
a
lot
of
effort
into
what's
going
on.
B
If
we
have
a
firefighter
that's
up
there,
volunteering
for
something
that
means
that
the
family
member
has
to
pick
up
the
additional
work
of
maybe
taking
kids
to
school,
picking,
kids
up
and
doing
those
extra
activities
that
they
wouldn't
have
normally
done
if
they
were
sharing
duties
with
someone,
that's
up
there,
volunteering
so
thank
you
to
those
families
as
well
that
sacrifice
that
they're
making
for
for
the
community
as
well,
I
think,
should
should
be
recognized.
So
thank
you,
mayor.
V
First,
I
want
to
apologize
for
being
tardy,
and
I
want
to
thank
everyone
for
allowing
me
to
see
my
daughter
perform
at
her
first
gymnastics.
Little
debut.
It
was
really
exciting.
So
excuse
me,
but
thank
you
for
allowing
me
to
do
that.
I
do
want
to
thank
everyone
that
has
made
this
happen.
I
think
counselor
lee
and
I
have
been
very
excited
to
be
back
in
well
to
be
in
person.
It's
not
back
for
us.
V
Monday
was
fun
and
quick,
but
you
could
tell
there
was
so
much
work
and
thought
that
went
into
make
this
happen
and
the
thought
is
just
continuing
so
that
the
city
can
con
continue
to
include
as
many
people
as
possible
to
be
part
of
these
meetings,
which
I
think
is
really
important.
V
I
too,
you
know
working
for
santa
fe
public
schools.
I
have
had
a
lot
of
employees
impacted
by
the
fires,
a
lot
of
loss,
but
I
am
amazed
by
how
it's
brought
the
community
together.
There
is
so
much
giving
so
we
have
people
who
are
fighting
the
fires.
We
have
people
who
are
feeding
those
that
are
in
shelters.
We
have
people
sheltering
strangers,
they've
never
met,
so
you
know
like
the
pandemic,
where
we
see
people
doing
amazing
things,
we're
seeing
it
again
and
I
think
that's
kind
of
the
light
and
the
darkness
of
these
events.
V
So
I
want
to
just
acknowledge
all
of
those
individuals
that
have
given
so
much
during
these
tough
times
and
we
have
fun
events,
so
we
have
the
bike
event
this
weekend.
We
also
have
the
homeroom
derby
on
saturday
at
regal
at
10
a.m,
and
we
have
the
northern
new
mexico
cheer
competition
on
sunday,
our
opening
day
on
sunday
at
10
a.m,
at
santa
fe
high
school.
So
there's
a
lot
to
do
this
weekend.
I
hope
to
see
you
all
out
there
and
I
know
that
I'll
be
making
multiple
stops.
A
Thank
you
councilor.
I
think
you
captured
the
the
place
we're
in
right
now
between
the
heavy
heavy
burden
of
fighting
the
fire.
The
fact
that
covet
hasn't
really
left
us.
We
have
cases
still
spreading
and
we're
dividing
up
even
tonight,
taking
on
putting
on
taking
off
mass,
putting
on
mass
being
conscious
of
the
need
to
stay
safe
and
then
we've
got
amazing
celebrations
going
on
and
we
need
to
be
able
to
have
fun
at
the
same
time
that
we
take
care
of
each
other
in
these
difficult
and
challenging
times.
A
I
would
you
all
mentioned
a
number
of
amazing
events
that
are
forthcoming.
I
would
add
one
more
that
will
happen
starting
on
the
20th
of
this
month,
which
is
a
literary
festival
it
our
our
editorial
group
calls
it
the
first
annual
literary
festival,
but
it
can't
be
both
first
and
first
annual.
It's
either
annual
or
the
first,
it's
the
inaugural
event,
but
it
is
going
to
be
a
remarkable
addition
to
the
arts
and
culture
scene
of
santa
fe.
We
already
have
an
amazing
arts
and
culture
program
set
up
for
this
summer.
A
Traditions
will
be
returned
to
in
person
great
summer.
In
front
of
us,
this
is
a
new
addition
to
the
schedule
and
please
check
it
out.
There
will
be
some
remarkable
authors,
storytellers
people
from
here,
but
also
from
outside
of
santa
fe.
So
I
encourage
everybody
to
take
advantage
of
that
opportunity
and
also
continue
to
be
kind
that
councilwoman
vera
was
absolutely
right
about
that
event.
On
the
plaza
for
mental
health
and
well-being,
our
kids
are
under
enormous
stress,
they've,
been
under
stress
for
several
years.
A
Our
families
are
dealing
with
serious
after
effects
from
kovid
that
are
not
only
financial
but
emotional
and
dealing
with
serious
mental
and
behavioral
health
issues
so
be
kind
help.
Each
other
help
our
community
heal
in
body
and
in
soul.
G
Item
15a
is
introduction
of
legislation.
As
a
reminder,
we
don't
have
a
vote
on
means,
but
we
do
introduce
them
and
if
the
sponsor
of
the
legislation
would
like
to
do
a
short
intro,
they
can
do
that.
So
the
first
item
that
will
be
introduced
is
consideration
of
a
resolution.
It's
sponsored
by
mayor
webber,
it's
a
resolution
amending
the
name
of
the
santa
fe
film
and
digital
media
commission
to
the
santa
fe
film
and
digital
media
council.
G
All
right,
the
next
item
is
b.
It's
consideration
of
a
bill.
It's
sponsored
by
councillor
romero
worth
and
counselor
cassette.
It's
an
ordinance
relating
to
the
city
of
santa
fe,
uniform
traffic
ordinance,
also
known
as
the
uto
amending
section
7
of
schedule,
a
to
prohibit
the
municipal
court
from
notifying
the
motor
vehicle
division
of
the
state
of
new
mexico
when
a
person
fails
to
pay
a
penalty
assessment
within
the
required
period
of
time.
X
Yeah,
I'd
love
to
just
say
a
couple,
quick
things.
This
is
the
second
bill
that
I'm
bringing
forward
under
the
broad
umbrella
of
fines
and
fees,
and
I
just
would
read
from
the
memo
that
we,
this
is
an
idea
coming
out
of
the
fines
and
fees
justice
center,
which
advocates
for
the
elimination
of
the
suspension
of
driver's
license,
based
on
the
failure
of
a
driver
to
pay
penalty
assessments
and
according
to
the
fines
and
fees
justice
center.
X
40
percent
of
drivers
who
lose
their
licenses
also
lose
their
jobs
and
those
who
are
able
to
find
jobs.
Take
who
and
those
who
are
able
to
find
jobs.
Take
significant
pay
cuts.
So
we
don't
want,
I
think,
drivers
having
to
make
a
choice
between
losing
their
job
because
of
a
lack
of
transportation
or
to
continue
driving
on
a
suspended,
license
and
risk
additional
fees,
fines,
arrest
and
possible
incarceration
during
covid.
X
We
did
not
send
notices
to
mbd
for
failure
to
pay,
and
this
would
memorialize
or
require
by
law
that
that
practice
continues.
So
look
forward
to
talking
about
this
as
it
moves
through
committee.
Thank
you.
Ma'am.
Z
Thank
you
very
much,
mr
mayor,
and
thank
you
councilor
meroworth.
I
think
what
I
would
just
add
to
both
this
and
then
the
ordinance
that
I
was
not
here
for
the
introduction
of
is
really
this
conversation
about.
Z
How
do
we
ensure
that
we
are
doing
the
best
by
our
community
and
that,
if
individuals,
if
they
make
mistakes,
I
mean
often
times
a
parking
ticket?
Z
Truly
is
a
mistake,
but
you
know
if
we
are
looking
at
these
pieces,
how
do
we
make
sure
that
we
are
allowing
individuals
to
you
know,
rectify
the
challenges,
but
also
that
they
can
still
be
productive
members
of
our
community,
because
that
is
ultimately
what
we
want
and
we
want
individuals
to
be
able
to
go
to
work
to
support
their
families
and
we
don't
want
their
lives
to
be
sidelined
by
things
of
this
nature.
Z
So
I
really
do
want
to
thank
council
romero
worth
for
her
work
on
this
and
for
allowing
me
to
to
join
in
on
on
these
efforts,
as
well
as
the
fines
and
fuse
justice
center
and
some
of
the
team
that
we've
been
working
with
there,
who
have
just
been
incredibly
helpful
and
incredibly
passionate
and
really
thinking
about
what
are
some
of
these
opportunities
for
our
community.
Z
A
AD
Need
your
name,
sir
joe
sheps,
santa
fe,
new
mexico,
200
valley
del
sol,
is
my
question:
is:
is
there
actually
a
public
safety
committee
number
two?
I
feel
very
strongly
that
the
fines
need
to
be
raised
from
thirty
dollars
per
offense
for
a
legal
violation
of
noise
ordinances.
That's
a
ridiculously
low
amount
number
two.
The
chief
does
see
the
noise
issue
as
a
major
problem
for
both
the
hotels
and
the
neighborhoods.
This
new
chief,
I
think,
is
much
more
attentive
to
these
issues.
AD
AD
AA
AD
All
that
number
three
I
spoke
with
officials
in
knoxville
tennessee.
Today
they
have
completed
a
successful
40-day
trial
period
with
an
english
company
called
24
acoustics,
which
does
have
noise
cameras
they're
very
pleased
with
them.
It
records
the
noise
from
a
specific,
specific
car.
It
notes
the
time
the
location
and
it
issues
a
ticket.
That
is
a
no-brainer
in
my
opinion,
so
I've
asked
for
pricing
for
both
training
and
purchase.
D
AD
AD
At
night-
and
they
they
encourage
this
within
two
minutes.
All
those
punks
leave
because
they're
listing
in
with
79
amazon,
police
scanners
and
they
split
and
the
chief,
I
believe,
told
me-
we
don't
have
an
encrypted
service,
meaning
they
cannot
communicate
among
themselves
so
that
anybody
in
the
criminal
world
can
listen
in.
So
those
are
just
some
things
that
if
there
is
a
public
service,
public
safety
committee
that
somebody
would
follow
up
on
this
stuff
I'll
keep
following
up
on
it.
But
it
really
concerns
me.
AE
AD
D
AD
A
If
not,
madam
clerk,
take
us
to
the
next
item.
Please,
yes,.
G
The
next
item
is
public
comment
on
bills,
so
we
have
consideration
of
a
bill.
This
is
sponsored
by
councilwoman,
villarreal
and
councilor
chris
rivera,
it's
an
ordinance
amending
section
23-5.2
to
permit
up
to
10
small
commercial
events
on
the
plaza
and
again,
this
is
a
public
comment.
So
if
anybody
would
like
to
comment
on
this,
I
would
also
like
to
note
that
we
did
distribute
all
written
comments
received
on
this
item
earlier
today
to
council
members.
A
AA
Pride,
which
next
month
is
pride
month,
so
we
invite
everyone
to
come
I'd
like
to
make
some
comments
about
the
bill,
specifically
being
the
person
involved
working
with
the
city
working
with
the
special
events
department.
AA
The
one
flaw
I
find
in
it
is
that,
in
order
to
sell
booths,
some
people
are
very
excited
to
come
and
be
a
part
of
pride.
We
have
a
lot
of
organizations
to
support
the
community,
but
we
have
a
lot
of
small
businesses
that
really
can't
get
their
word
out
or
their
message
because
they
sell
certain
products
or
any
products,
soaps,
books,
artwork
and
we
are
not
allowed
to
sell
at
these
events.
So
everyone
that
comes
to
our
event
has
to
agree
in
our
booth
application
form
and
contract
that
they
will
not
sell
anything.
AA
And
that's
where
we
get
a
lot
of
pushback
from
people,
because
they
would
actually
like
to
show
the
community
that
there
are
lgbtqia
businesses
that
offer
many
different
types
of
not
only
services
but
products
and
food
and
things
of
that
nature.
And
it
is
a
hindrance
for
us
if
we
would
like
to
expand
our
event,
because
we're
very
limited
as
to
what
someone
can
actually
do
at
their
booth.
AA
AA
AB
Good
evening
mayor
and
counselors
jamie
lundfeste,
I'm
the
director
of
amp
concerts
in
santa
fe.
We
are
the
new
relatively
new
going
into
our
second
year,
producing
the
plaza
concert
series,
hopefully,
you've
all
been
able
to
come
down
and
we're
very
excited
to
be
bringing
music
back
to
the
plaza
starting
on
june
9th
this
year
we
just
have
addressed
with
some
of
our
fellow
organizations
who
present
things
on
the
plaza.
The
plaza
is
a
sacred
space
for
santa
fe.
We
feel
like
we
treat
it.
AB
That
way,
we
feel
like
sharing
music
on
the
plaza
is
a
huge
part
of
summer
in
santa
fe.
But
commerce
is
a
part
of
that
and
we're
not
looking
to
create
huge
commercial
events,
we're
not
trying
to
create
another
spanish
market
or
an
indian
market,
but
by
offering
the
opportunity
to
a
small
number
of
picture
of
vendors
to
be
able
to
participate
in
the
thousands
of
people
that
music
brings
together
on
the
plaza.
AB
It
just
makes
common
sense
quite
frankly,
and
we
have
roshan
ahmad,
who,
I
think
is
going
to
speak
next
to
you.
AB
We
really
started
on
this
path
with
him
around
the
june
teen
celebration,
which
we
began
last
year,
which
was
a
huge
success
for
santa
fe,
and
we
think
we're
going
to
take
a
big
leap
forward
with
that
this
year
and
we
just
want
to
be
able
to
have
these
events
be
a
little
more
inclusive
of
all
of
the
people,
as
kevin
said,
who
bring
life
to
the
plaza,
let's
engage
with
them
and
allow
them
to
bring
commerce
as
part
of
that
life.
So
thank
you
all.
E
AB
F
I
wanted
to
voice
my
support
for
this
and
would
also
like
to
give
a
different
context
of
why
it's
important
the
summer
of
george
floyd
started
so
many
conversations
among
black
folks
in
santa
fe,
anti-black
racism,
gaslighting,
feeling
unsafe,
and
that
the
city
doesn't
want
us
here.
The
tri-cultural
narrative
doesn't
include.
F
Also
having
black
folks
primarily
be
the
entertainment
to
a
crowd
of
predominantly
non-black.
People
can
also
create
a
harmful
narrative
when
vendors
are
part
of
an
event,
especially
a
cultural
one.
Think
of
what
else
gets
to
happen.
The
products
are
usually
a
reflection
of
that
culture's
history
and
beauty,
but
you
also
get
the
conversations
and
a
widening
scope
of
understanding
that
group.
When
black
folks
ask
if
they
can
be
part
of
juneteenth,
it
breaks
my
heart
black
elders
who
ask
if
they
can
come
with
their
group
to
sell
things
they
met.
F
F
G
Yes,
mayor.
The
next
item
is
final
action
on
legislation.
This
is
consideration
of
bill
number
2022-7.
It's
an
adoption
of
an
ordinance.
This
is
sponsored
by
mayor
webber,
councillor
merrell,
worth
counselor,
michael
garcia.
G
This
is
approving
and
adopting
a
local
economic
development
project
participation,
agreement
between
the
city
of
santa
fe
and
back
in
bolo
llc
for
design,
development
and
construction
of
tenant
improvements,
lease
payments
and
expansion
of
a
corporate
research
center,
a
local
economic
development
project
and
mayor.
I
do
just
want
to
know-
I
believe
casey
is
standing
in
for
rich
brown.
If
we
have
any
questions
on
this.
A
Great
case
you
casey,
you
want
to
well
why.
A
Second,
there's
a
motion:
there's
a
second
and
casey.
Do
you
want
to
speak
to
this?
Give
us
an
overview.
Give
the
public
who's
listening,
perhaps
being
introduced
to
these
opportunities
for
the
first
time
describe
what
what
these
are
and
what
the
council
is
being
asked
to
do.
AF
Thank
you
thank
you,
mr
mayor
and
council.
Actually,
so
my
I'm
casey
delaware,
I'm
the
business
growth
manager
for
the
city
of
center
for
economic
development,
and
we
are
partnered
with
the
state
and
actually,
I
have
sort
of
a
whole
group
here
who
are
willing
to
to
speak
with.
E
Members
of
the
council,
I'm
peter
mitchell
with
the
state
of
new
mexico
economic
development
department,
and
I
think
most
of
you
know
about
this.
What
we're
trying
to
accomplish
here
we're
trying
to
pass
an
ordinance
for
a
leda
elita
grant
to
beckon
bulow
buffalo
that
ultimately
will
they're
going
to
invest.
1.2
million
dollars
in
capital
expenditures
in
this
bill
create
40
jobs
over
10
years.
In
addition
to
the
seven
they
have
there's
been
some.
E
There
have
been
some
misconceptions
about
the
wages
that
we're
talking
about
one
of
the
documents,
the
project
participation
agreement
said
they
will
start
at
a
minimum
of
13
per
hour.
The
wages
actually
project
to
be
1734
an
hour
over
the
term
of
the
10
years
of
hiring,
and
the
document
also
says
that
a
full-time
worker
is
32
hours
a
week.
E
32
hours
a
week
is
what
qualify
them
for
our
job
training
incentive
program
reimbursement,
but
they
are
all
offered
full
time
at
40
hours
a
week,
so
we've
been
working
with
jp
and
his
colleague
tony
beck.
If
any
of
you
haven't
been
to
the
store,
they're
doing
great
things,
they
recently
acquired
a
fish
processing
facility
in
kodiak
alaska,
which
they
will
be
incorporating
into
their
business
model
and
their
product
line
here.
So
we've
been
working
for
two
years,
they've
been
very
aggressive
with
ppe
and
idol
assistants
to
keep
afloat.
E
A
Let's
open
the
floor
to
members
of
the
governing
body
to
ask
questions
at
this
time.
G
Mayor,
if
I
can
hi
city
clerk
over
here,
this
is
the
public
hearing.
So
if
anybody
from
the
public
would
like
to
speak,
they
actually
get
to
do
that
first
and
then
we
can
move.
A
Good
point
good
point:
thank
you
for
reminding
me
how
we
do
this
in
public.
This
is
a
in
fact,
as
mentioned
a
public
hearing.
If
there's
somebody
who
wishes
to
speak
on
this
item,
please
step
up
to
the
podium
now
and
identify
yourself
and
we'll
offer
two
minutes
of
comment
on
the
proposed
legislation.
J
What
I
don't
understand
really
is
why
in
the
application
and
why,
in
the
information,
if
it's
not
13
an
hour,
if
it's
seventeen
dollars
and
something
an
hour,
why
doesn't
it
say
that
it
looks
to
me
as
though
the
obligation
is
for
thirteen
dollars
an
hour
and,
additionally,
as
I
had
pointed
out
to
several
people
and
trying
to
help
prepare
for
this
hearing?
J
E
Mayor
webber,
council,
adult
that's
the
language
we
use
to
establish
the
baseline
for
it.
That's
just
the
process
that
we've
used
when
we
prepare
our
project
participation
agreements
so
and
the
32
hours
is
based
on
the
statute
that
that
allows
workers
to
be
eligible
for
j-tip
reimbursement
that
that's
all
that
is
it,
and
I
guess
we
can
go
back
to
the
drawing
board
in
the
future
and
customize
the
language.
That's
that's
more
appealing,
but
the
the
bottom
line
for
this
project
is
all
the
workers
that
will
be
hired.
J
J
Is
not
something
I
would
want
to
endorse.
21
000
annual
salary,
for
somebody
is,
is
a
joke
here
and
you've
got
to
do
better
with
these
packets
because
that's
what's
presented
to
us-
and
you
know
I
wish
this
business
all
the
luck
in
the
world
and
all
the
profit
in
the
world.
I
hope
they
do
great,
but
what's
presented
to
us,
is
not
something
that
I
would
want
to
endorse.
AE
Have
seven
employees
in
2021
we
hired
four
of
those
employees
through
the
jtip
program,
very
grateful
for
that
program.
It
helped
us
through
covid,
and
we
hired
two
of
those
employees
at
17.50
an
hour
another
one
for
20
50
an
hour
and
another
one
at
21
an
hour
so
well
above
minimum
wage
well
above
comparable
wages
in
santa
fe
for
similar
positions.
AE
AE
Love
santa
fe,
I
really
love
hearing
everyone's
optimism
with
kovid
and
the
fires,
seeing
the
the
silver
lining
we
kind
of
feel
the
same
way
through
covet.
We
were
able
to
be
nimble
and
see
the
silver
lining,
so
we
hope
to
provide
many
more
jobs
for
santa
fe
that
are
competitive
and
that
people
love
that
can
become
career.
W
X
Thank
you
mayor.
That's
all
I
have
just
wanted
to
make
sure
we
didn't
have
any
confusion
about
what's
being
welcomed
here.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
A
Other
questions-
yes,
I
don't
know
if
this
is
I
I
know
rich
is
banged
up,
so
I'm
going
to
throw
you
a
pitch
and
see
if
you
can
swing
at
it
casey.
If
you
can
there,
the
the
economic
development
team
has
priorities
for
economic
development
for
growing
industries
in
santa
fe.
I'm
wondering
casey
why
this
business
and
how
does
it
fit
into
the
larger
strategy?
AF
Yes,
mr,
I
can
answer
that,
so
the
value-added
food
industry
is
one
of
our
sectors
for
growth.
It
is
something
that
we
are
passionate
about
and
something
that
we
are
trying
to
nurture
and
to
develop,
as
it
is
something
that
will
benefit
the
community
as
a
whole.
A
Thank
you,
so
I
think
it's
important
to
note
that
this
is
not
just
a
random
selection
of
an
of
a
company
that
we,
like.
We
don't
like
we're
talking.
Economic
development
strategy
nurturing
a
sector
building
on
a
successful
enterprise
trying
to
help
them
grow
as
part
of
a
larger
ecosystem
that
we
are
focused
on.
G
All
right,
this
is
a
rule
called
vote
also
so,
just
as
a
heads
up,
counselor,
michael
garcia,.
P
D
C
G
C
H
H
G
Yes,
the
next
item
is
consideration
of
bill
number
2022..
It's
an
adoption
of
an
ordinance
sponsored
by
councillor
cassette
and
councilwoman
via
rael.
It's
an
ordinance
amending
table
14-6-1-1
of
the
land
development
code,
the
table
of
permitted
uses.
This
is
to
permit
small
and
large.
G
G
S
A
There's
a
motion
on
the
floor
to
approve
and
it's
seconded
daniel.
Do
you
want
to
introduce
this
topic
to
us
and
the
public.
L
So
that's
that's
the
long
and
short
of
it.
It's
it's
trying
the
idea
to
relieve
the
burden
for
child
care
facilities
from
our
point
of
view,
with
from
having
to
do
a
special
use
permit,
which
requires
public
hearing
notification
requirements
as
well
as
a
thousand
dollar
fee,
consultancies,
etc.
A
Z
Go
ahead
and
jump
in,
thank
you
so
much
and
as
I
say,
you
all
frequently
hear
me
wax
poetic
about
the
needs
for
child
care,
and
I'm
more
than
happy
to
do
it
again.
Z
So
this
effort,
this
bill
is
part
of
a
larger
effort
to
expand
access
to
affordable,
high
quality
child
care
within
the
city
of
santa
fe,
the
city
of
santa
fe
is
considered
a
child
care
desert.
A
2019
report
stated
that
we
only
had
space
for
seven
percent
of
the
infants
born
in
the
community,
so
there
are
a
number
of
issues,
a
number
of
barriers
when
it
comes
to
individuals
being
able
to
access
child
care,
and
one
of
them
is
that
there
just
are
not
enough
spaces.
Z
In
case
anybody
is
wondering.
Child
care
is
not
necessarily
a
very
lucrative
business,
and
so
when
there
are
these
additional
fees,
when
there's
this
additional
time,
it
really
can
pose
a
barrier
for
individuals
being
able
to
open.
Z
So
there
are
still
some
other
pieces
that
we
need
to
be
working
on.
As
you
all
know,
with
the
arpa
dollars,
we
just
approved
close
to
a
million
dollars
that
will
be
going
towards
a
professional
development
program
as
a
partnership
with
the
santa
fe
community
college.
This
is
another
one
of
the
huge
issues
with
being
able
to
expand
access
to
child
care
in
our
communities.
Z
Is
we
simply
do
not
have
enough
teachers
to
meet
the
ratios
for
child
care
providers
so,
and
then
there
is
also
some
work
being
done
in
terms
of
partnerships
with
the
state
with
the
fire
department
at
some
of
the
fire
code
regulations,
and
that
is
a
number
there
are
some
challenges
there.
I
do
want
to
make
sure
that
it
is
noted
that
all
of
the
other
other
regular
regulations
that
go
into
being
licensed
as
a
child
care
facility
are
still
in
place,
so
the
state
has
requirements
in
terms
of
teacher
ratios.
Z
The
state
has
requirements
and
in
terms
of
space
and
square
footage
of
the
area
and
how
many
children
would
be
allowed
in
a
residential
home
that
is
providing
child
care
based
on
on
what
the
space
is
available
there,
and
so
all
of
those
are
still
in
play.
We
are
simply
removing
our
barriers
in
terms
of
our
table
of
permitted
uses.
Z
I
believe
that
is
it.
You
know.
I
again.
I
just
want
to
talk
it
briefly,
like
I
have
the
mic
and
the
floor
about
the
importance
of
child
care
in
our
community
and
with
some
of
the
presentations
we've
been
getting
in
finance
committee
about
the
economic
recovery.
Child
care
frequently
comes
up
as
one
of
the
many
barriers
that
families
are
seeing
to
being
able
to
return
to
work,
and
this
was
a
problem
before
the
pandemic.
Z
It
is
something
that
has
primarily
hit
women
and
that
when
we
look
at
the
wealth
lost
for
women,
primarily
for
women
during
the
years
that
they
have
young
children,
it
is
substantial
because
you're
not
just
talking
about
wages,
you're
also
talking
about
years
of
experience,
which
means
that
you
are
looking
at
future
opportunities
and
higher
salaries
and
their
ability
to
really
climb
the
ladder.
Z
Z
So
this
is
something
that
I'm
really
passionate
about
is
how
can
we
ensure
that
women,
young
mothers,
young
parents
and
families
really
have
the
economic
opportunities
to
thrive
in
our
community
and
child
care?
Is,
is
a
big
piece
of
that,
so
I
will
continue
to
beat
this
drum.
I'm
really
excited
about
this
moving
forward,
as
well
as
the
arpa
dollars,
as
well
as
a
plug
for
for
the
gov
that
expansion
of
pre-child
care.
Z
If
anybody
is
listening
and
you
have
not
seen-
and
you
have
a
young
child-
and
you
have
not
gone
to-
I
think
it's
am
I.
If
you,
google,
am
I
eligible
in
new
mexico,
you
can
see
if
you
are
eligible
for
free
child
care
and
we
have
within
this
state,
they've
really
expanded
the
eligibility
criteria
and
a
lot
of
families
are
now
eligible
for
pre-child
care.
Z
I
So
it's
a
good
change
and
I
just
wanted
to
say
that
this
is
just
one
step
of
many
things
that
we
can
do
to
support
daycare
and
the
daycare
and
preschool
sector
and
ultimately
supporting
our
little
ones,
because
this
is
a
gender
justice
issue.
This
is
a
economic
security
issue
and
it's
really
just
supporting
the
overall
well-being
of
our
community.
So
thank
you
very
much.
I
A
Thank
you
with
that
framing
from
our
sponsors.
This
is
a
public
hearing.
If
there's
somebody
who
wishes
to
speak
to
this
bill
now
would
be
the
time
to
step
up
and
take
two
minutes
to
address
the
governing
body.
D
AA
AC
C
G
All
right:
the
next
item
is
a
public
hearing.
It's
19a.
It's
request
for
approval
of
the
2022-2023
annual
action
plan.
First
draft
required
to
be
submitted
annually
to
the
department
of
housing
and
urban
development
as
a
condition
to
the
city's
community
development
block
grant
ms
alexandra
ladd,
our
director
of
office
of
affordable
housing
is
here
as
well
as.
A
This
is
a
public
hearing.
I
would
remind
everybody
so,
let's
I
guess,
let's
begin
with
your
presentation
and
then
we'll
go
to
the
public
and
then
we'll
entertain
a
motion.
Z
Thank
you,
mayor
members
of
the
council
for
those
of
you
who
have
been
on
the
council
for
a
little
while
you've
seen
this
plan
every
single
year,
because
it
is
called
an
annual
action
plan
for
those
of
you
who
are
new.
I
apologize
for
the
framework
that
hud
makes
us
use
because
it's
kind
of
horrible,
but
if
you
had
time-
and
you
read
the
executive
summary-
you
pretty
much-
could
learn
everything
you
needed
to
know.
Z
We
also
describe,
in
this
plan
the
use
of
related
funds
to
the
entitlement
funds,
which
would
be
any
prior
year,
funds
that
we
are
reprogramming
or
something
called
program
income
which
is
generated
when
a
cdbg
funded
activity
is
generates
income.
So,
in
this
case,
usually
it
would
be
a
down
payment
assistance.
Loan,
that's
paid
back.
Z
The
hud
rules
require
that
those
funds
be
used
before
the
grant
funds.
So
we
have
a
balance
of
grant
funds.
It's
not
a
bad
problem
to
have,
but
we
are
looking
quite
seriously
in
the
next
year
to
move
forward
with
some
additional
projects
as
well
to
make
sure
we
can
draw
down
our
our
full
balance
of
funds,
but
in
the
plan
that
is
in
front
of
you
today,
these
funding
recommendations
for
the
new
money
for
our
entitlement
funds
were
made
by
the
community
development
commission.
Z
Z
It's
caper
is
the
acronym
consolidated
annual
performance
and
evaluation
report
got
it
pulled
it
out
there.
So
what
that
report
annual
action
plan
says
here's
how
we
propose
to
spend
funds
and
the
caper
says,
and
here's
what
we
actually
spent
funds
on
in
here:
the
results
of
spending
those
funds,
so
there's
sort
of
these
two
required
bookends
for
our
cdbg
grant.
One
thing
I
also
want
to
point
out:
we
don't
actually
know
the
real
grant
amount
for
this
upcoming
year.
Yet
still
this
is
possibly
the
latest.
Z
It's
ever
been
in
my
history
with
this
program,
so
that
is
why
you
were
probably
noticing
some
of
the
contingency
language
in
the
plan,
which
says
we
think
we'll
get
somewhere
around
hundred
thousand
dollars.
If
we
get
more,
we
will
add
to
the
lamplighter
project
and
if
we
get
less
we'll
reduce
all
of
the
projects
proportionally,
but
the
other.
Z
The
other
number
that
is
unusual
for
this
year
is
that
we
are
using
prior
year
funds
to
support
consuelo's
place,
and,
what's
unusual
about
that,
is
normally
we
have
a
cap,
a
15
cap,
on
how
much
we
can
spend
on
public
services,
but
for
funds
that
were
that
came
from
grant
years.
2019
and
2020
hud
removed
that
cap
for
the
public
services,
because
so
many
needs
related
to
the
pandemic
were
also
related
to
needing
more
and
expanded
public
services.
Z
Z
A
You
so
this
is
a
public
hearing
as
earlier
noted,
if
there's
someone
in
the
room
who
wishes
to
come
to
the
podium
and
address
this
request
for
approval,
please
step
up
now,
we'll
give
you
several
minutes
to
speak
to
it.
A
I
Just
wanted
to
thank
the
staff
every
year
going
through
this
process
and
having
hud,
you
know,
kind
of
dictate.
The
format
which
is
not
very
user
friendly
is,
if
any
of
you
actually
read
the
whole
thing:
it's
not
user
friendly.
So
when
you
look
at
the
structure
like
what,
however,
there's
some
good
information
in
there-
and
I
think
that
it
does
set
up
set
a
roadmap
for
certain
things
that
we're
doing
that
we'd
like
to
do
so.
I
I
just
wanted
to
thank
you
for
continuing
with
that
process
and
being
patient
with
hud
in
general,
and
the
fact
that
we
have
to
wait
for
funding
even
knowing
if
it's
going
to
happen.
So
thank
you,
and
also
just
I
did
mention
this
when
we
were
in
cdc
about
how
we
can
incorporate
a
way
to
put
in
our
values
of
the
city
values
and
we
look
at
affordable
housing
and
one
of
them
that
I
had
mentioned,
and
there
were
other
committee
members
that
felt
the
same.
I
AE
I
have
not
yet
incorporated
any
of
the
comments
in
there,
but
that
will
certainly
make
it
into
the
final
draft.
G
Okay,
perfect
all
right,
councilwoman

I
