Description
Mary MacDonald discusses potential economic impacts of SWAN Park from proposed Santa Fe Opportunity Bonds.
A
We
did
have
some
discussion
on
what
would
be
the
benefits
to
the
city
in
having
this
park
built
out
there
in
Tierra
contenta,
and
one
of
the
big
advantages
we
see
is
more
opportunity
for
a
tournament
play
and
not
just
the
usual
soccer
rugby
football
little
league
baseball
tournament
play,
but
also
we're
going
to
when
the
park
is
really
fully
built
out.
It
will
have
five
tennis
courts
enough
for
a
tournament.
A
It'll
have
12
horseshoe
pits
enough
for
a
tournament
that
isn't
that
hasn't
happened
anywhere
else
in
Santa
Fe
that
horseshoe
people
told
us
we
don't.
We
don't
have
tournament
play
anywhere
pickleball
which
can
wear
these
pickleball
pickleball
is
a
very
unique
ball
sport
that
that
you
that
you
can
play
on
tennis,
courts
and
they've
assured
me
that
one
of
the
aspects
of
pickleball,
that's
so
much
fun.
A
They
can
also
double
as
a
use
for
pickleball
and
have
tournaments,
also
disc
golf,
an
18-hole,
disc
golf
course,
which
disc
golf
can
occupy
slopes
that
other
aspects
of
the
park
can't
so
some
of
those
five
to
fifteen
percent
slopes
that
are
getting
out
more
towards
the
development
to
the
north
and
around
the
edges
of
the
Royal
to
the
south.
We're
able
to
find
enough
space
for
18
holes
of
disc
golf,
and
so
the
disc
golf
players
are
quite
excited
about
that
they
can
have
tournaments.
A
These
tournaments
will
bring
people
for
all
these
different
sports
will
bring
people
to
Santa
Fe,
who
will
say
who
will
eat.
Also,
we
see
the
existence
of
the
park
as
enhancing
the
server
property
values,
whether
they're
commercial
residential
churches
just
having
the
park.
There
would
be
a
draw
too
many
people
who
might
choose
to
have
an
office
in
the
area,
locate
their
light
industrial
in
the
area
or
buy
a
house
in
the
area.
