Thank
you
hey
good
morning
to
you.
Thank
you
for
being
here
for
this
Commendation
and
presentation
Awards
held
today,
councilman
Maniscalco.
You
have
the
invocation.
C
My
pleasure,
as
always,
to
welcome
chaplain
Nance
who's,
no
stranger
here,
I
think
you
give
one
of
the
the
the
best
invocations
when
I
say
the
best
invocations.
The
message
is
always
on
point
and
you've
always
been
very
the
what
you
say.
It
always
fits
the
time,
so
we
always
welcome
you
back
and
we
always
happy
to
have
you.
So
if
you
would
please
approach
the
lecture
and
everybody
please
stand
for
the
invocation
and
remain
standing
for
the
Pledge
of
Allegiance.
Yes,
sir,.
D
Psalm
46
says:
God
is
our
refuge
and
strength;
a
very
present
help
and
trouble
Our
Father.
We
thank
you
so
much
today
for
your
blessings
and
your
protection
upon
the
city
of
Tampa
Lord.
We
do
not
take
for
granted
Lord
how
that
you
have
blessed
this
city
Lord,
not
only
from
storms
and
from
troubles
but
Lord,
even
from
violence
and
from
other
things
you
have
blessed
us
Lord
with
businesses
and
with
financial
help
and
resources,
and
even
Lord
with
leadership
and
Lord.
D
We
just
want
to
thank
you
for
that,
and
we
we
come
to
you
today
Lord
and
we
continue
to
need
your
help
and
your
guidance
on
a
daily
basis.
Lord
I
Thank
you
for
the
the
leadership
that
you've
provided
for
us
I.
Thank
you,
Lord
for
our
mayor
and
for
the
council
here
and
Lord.
We
just
pray
that
you
would
give
them
protection
and
strength
and
wisdom
Lord.
We
know
that
there
are
burdens
that
they
carry
and
decisions
that
they
make
and
Lord.
Those
are
not
easy.
D
They
wrestle
over
those
and
we
just
pray
for
your
help
and
guidance
Lord
in
their
life.
We
pray
for
their
staff
and
those
that
Aid
them
Lord.
We
also
pray
Lord
for
those
that
serve
on
the
front
lines
Lord
we
think
of
our
Tampa
Police
and
Lord
our
our
fire
and
rescue
and
Lord
all
of
these
people
that
bravely
Lord
serve
and
they
serve
in
such
a
humble
fashion.
D
We
pray
God
that
you
would
bless
the
leadership
bless
our
chief
and
and
those
that
are
in
leadership
that
you
would
guide
them
and
be
with
those
and
protect
them,
Lord
that
that
daily
make
decisions
and
God.
We
want
to
just
praise
you
and
thank
you
Lord
for
your
abundant
grace,
for
the
hope
that
you
give
us
and
and
Jesus
and
Lord
for
for
this
Council
Bless.
This
time
bless
the
hour
in
Jesus
name.
We
pray,
amen.
C
E
E
B
You
very
much
councilman
Vieira
wishes
that
he
could
be
here.
He
has
other
appointments
that
he
has
to
be
at
today
and
in
that
case,
councilman
Miranda
will
be
taking
over
his
duties
as
chair
of
Public
Safety.
Our
first
agenda
item
is
presentation
accommodations
to
the
ATU
local
1464
excuse.
A
H
G
Good
morning
Mr,
chairman
council,
members
morning
we
have
our
ATU
employee
of
the
month,
Miss
Ashley
Smith,
who
works
in
our
great
Parks
and
Recreation
everything
starts
in
the
park.
It
truly
does
it
starts
so
Steve.
Will
you
give
us
a
brief
notion
of
Miss
Ashley
Smith
who's
been
with
the
city
and
doing
a
great
job
by
Recreation
Department,
absolutely.
H
H
New
to
Tampa
from
Virginia
Ashley
Smith
started
with
the
city
of
Tampa
Parks
and
Rec
Department
in
July
2018,
just
as
we
opened
the
Tampa
River
Center
at
Julian,
B
Lane,
riverford
Park.
At
the
time
we
did
not
know
what
would
be
in
store
for
us
being
a
brand
new
event
rental
facility,
but
she
hit
the
ground
running,
helping
to
make
sure
every
event
lives
up
to
the
expectations
of
the
client.
Since
we
have
opened,
she
has
been
a
part
of
most
of
the
400
events.
H
We
have
hosted
from
weddings
to
the
NFL
Super
Bowl
experience
and
the
ATU
holiday
Christmas
party,
which
was
fantastic
Ashley,
has
jumped
in
and
helped
in
other
divisions
of
parks
and
rec
as
needed,
including
helping
save
a
young
man's
life
who
was
drowning
in
the
river
Ashley
is
the
epitome
of
southern
charm
with
her
bright
smile
and
friendly
personality.
She
is
recently
married
and
in
her
Spare
Time,
loves
to
spend
time
with
her
family
and
explore
her
new
towns.
We
thank
you
for
all.
H
H
H
You
have
earned
the
respect
of
your
superiors,
your
superiors,
peers
and
the
community,
and
you
are
well
known
as
someone
who
is
passionate
results,
oriented
friendly
and
Charming
you're,
an
asset
and
integral
part
of
the
parks
and
rec
department
and
the
City
of
Tampa's
mission
of
providing
Superior
services,
and
your
proficiency
and
outstanding
positive
attitude
make
you
highly
deserving
of
this
recognition.
You
are
admired,
well
respected
and
set
a
shining
example
for
others
to
follow.
It
is
employees
like
you,
Ashley,
that
make
me
proud
to
serve
as
mayor.
I
Good
morning,
Council,
Patricia,
Hills,
director,
Parks
and
Rec
just
to
say
a
couple
words
I,
think
councilman
goods
and
Steve
really
summed
it
up,
but
Ashley
really
is
an
asset
to
us
from
Parks
and
Rec
if
you've
ever
been
to
the
River
Center.
This
is
the
face
that
you
see.
This
is
the
person
that
walks
you
through
the
event
you're
going
to
have
there
and
like
they
said
it's,
she
does
anything
right,
so
she
is
in
the
event
center,
but
when
she
sees
someone
who
needs
help,
she
jumps
in
no
pun
intended
literally
jumps
in.
I
So
she
has
been
a
huge
asset
for
us,
even
when
she
is
not
working.
Her
husband
works
in
parks
and
rec
as
well.
So
it's
always
like
Ashley.
Do
you
ever
leave
Parks
and
Rec
like
it's
just
her
right,
it's
just
her.
So
from
The
Parks
and
Rec,
Department
myself.
We
thank
you.
We
appreciate
you,
you
are
truly
one
of
our
best.
So
thank
you
very
much.

E
E
I've
had
a
wonderful
experience
since,
since
I've
moved
down
here,
I
moved
from
a
little
town
from
Virginia.
All
the
way
down
here
in
Tampa
and
I
was
I
was,
you
know,
didn't
know
what
to
expect,
but
I've
been
welcomed
by
everybody
down
here
in
Tampa,
and
this
wonderful
experience
that
I've
had
with
the
Parks
and
Recreation
Department
I
have
wonderful
bosses
and
all
the
you
know
co-workers
that
everyone
that
I
work
with
it's
it's
been
a
wonderful
experience.
So
I
appreciate
it.
Thank
you
guys.
E
R
Congratulations
and
thank
you
for
choosing
Tampa
we're
lucky
to
that.
You
decided
to
come
here.
Please
tell
your
friends
from
Virginia
to
come
too,
and
and
and
thanks
for
all
you
do,
the
ATU

was
fantastic.
So
if
you
ran
there
were
involved
in
any
way.
Congratulations!
So
thank
you.
Please
keep
up
the
good
work.
Let
us
know
if
we
can
help
you
in
any
way.
S
I'm
gonna
Echo,
his
thanks
working
in
such
a
field
is,
is
really
fun.
You
get
to
be
there
for
so
many
different
celebrations
and
it
sounds
like
your
enthusiasm
follows,
and
that's
really
important
so
that
everyone
sees
how
excited
and
and
passionate
our
employees
are.
So.
Thank
you
so
much
for
all
the
work
you
do.
Thank
you
for
helping
to
save
a
a
child's
life,
that's
above
and
beyond,
and
should
absolutely
be
commended.
Thank
you
for,
for
always
looking
out
and
doing
the
right
thing.
B
F
Thank
you,
Mr,
chairman
again,
thank
you
for
what
you've
done.
Aquamish
heart
attack,
saying
about
what
you
saved
the
life
of
a
child
and
but
year
round,
is
what
you
do
that
counts.
Also,
and
you
have
given
your
effort
you're,
given
your
best
that
you
can
to
make
sure
that
your
department
is
well
represented,
that
whoever's
there
is
a
guest
and
you
treat
them
all
like
guest
of
honor
and
you've
done
that
by
your
accommodation.
F
You
received
today,
so
congratulations
on
receiving
it
and
I
think
I'll,
be
there
Friday
night,
so
I'm
going
to
experience
all
of
what
you
guys
have
well.
Thank
you
very
much
again
thank
you
for
choosing
Tampa
as
a
city
to
move
to
you're,
one
of
about
300
million
that
want
to
come
in
so,
but
thank
you
for
for
making
that
choice.
Thank.
J
B
Congratulations
and
thank
you
for
being
part
of
Tampa's
family,
all
the
workers
that
work
for
the
City
of
Tampa,
no
matter
which
department
are
family
members.
Thank
you
for
being
part
of
our
family.
Thank
you
for
everything
you
do.
Thank
you
for
keeping
that
that
event
center
booked
year
round.
Thank
you
very
much.
A
F
You,
honorable
chairman
honorable
members
of
Tampa,
City
Council,
I'm,
pleased
and
pleasure
of
mine
to
be
here
not
only
with
Chief
Burk
Hall,
but
with
Detective
that
was
chosen.
The
employee
of
the
month
for
the
police
department,
David,
auberson,
Chief
I,
know
that
you
have
his
whole
item
of
what
he
did,
but
this
is
not
like
CSI
or
any
other
things
you
see
on
TV.
This
is
labor
of
dedicated
to
his
job
and
I'm,
not
saying
those
TV
things
are
not
real,
they
are
but
this
individual.
T
Good
morning,
Council
I'm
honored,
here
to
present
our
officer
of
the
month,
detective
David
Alverson's
been
employed
with
the
Tampa
Police
Department
for
11
years,
and
he
is
currently
in
his
second
year
as
a
homicide
detective.
He
takes
the
lead
on
incredibly
High
number
of
cases
for
a
new
detective
and
is
not
only
welcomed
the
challenges
that
come
with
these
critical
investigations,
but
also
excelled
in
his
work
and
as
councilman
Miranda
was
alluding
to
being
a
homicide.
Detective
is
not
like
on
TV.
T
Initially
Patrol
units
arrived
on
scene
in
response
to
reported
gunfire
officers
located
a
victim
shot
inside
his
vehicle
at
the
apartment
gate.
Several
witnesses
were
only
able
to
advise
on
an
unknown
suspect
in
an
older
black
Nissan
Altima
that
shot
the
victim.
So
little
leads
here
to
go
on.
Detective
Alverson
then
began
to
retrace
the
victim's
activities
for
the
past
several
days.
In
doing
so,
he
learned
that
the
victim
was
involved
in
an
altercation
at
his
job
hours
prior
to
the
murder.
T
T
Not
only
was
he
able
to
locate
the
video
of
the
altercation,
but
he
also
discovered
evidence
of
this
black
Nissan
Altima
arriving
at
the
victim's
job
parking
across
the
street
for
several
hours
the
day
of
the
murder,
then
following
the
victim
as
he
left
work,
detective
Alverson
focused
his
efforts
on
investigating
the
suspect
vehicle
and
days
later
he
located
that
vehicle
with
the
homicide
suspect
inside
out
in
the
county.
Just
outside
the
city
limits
enough
evidence
was
located
to
arrest
and
charge,
the
suspect
with
first-degree
murder
and
that's
no
easy
task.
T
Upon
arrival,
officers
discovered
a
person
deceased
from
multiple
gunshot
wounds
again
assigned
as
the
lead
investigator
detective
Alverson
immediately
began
canvassing
this
very
large
gated
community
for
Witnesses
within
hours.
He
located
four
teenagers
who
witnessed
the
homicide
while
they
did
not
initially
report
the
incident
out
of
fear.
Detective
Alverson
was
able
to
quickly
establish
a
relationship
with
them
and
attained
interviews
which
led
to
not
only
a
description
of
the
suspect
but
also
specific
details
on
the
vehicle
that
drove
away
from
the
scene.
He
later
located.
T
F
I
want
to
present
the
city
council's
combination
to
detective
David
Halverson
and
then
we'll
have
the
individuals
that
come
here
regular
basis
to
make
the
presentation
of
honoring
you,
sir
one
at
a
time.
You
know
what
the
chief
just
spoke
about:
it's
really
the
desire
to
catch,
whoever
did
that.
It's
not
easy
to
be
in
any
in
any
police
officer
in
any
part
of
the
United,
States
or
any
part
in
the
world
nowadays.
But
what
you've
done
by
doing
having
the
individual
who
committed
a
crime
telling
you
that
he
committed
a
crime?
F
It's
really
unremarkable
great!
It's!
You
have
earned
not
only
this
Commendation,
but
a
lot
more
than
respect
for
the
City
of
Tampa
and
for
the
badge
that
you
carry,
and
for
that
reason
this
city
council
is
making
this
day
combination
to
you
and
it
talks
about
what
you've
done.
Your
dedication
of
service,
commitment
and
excellence
and
going
above
and
beyond,
and
those
are
the
words
that
really
strike
right
at
the
heart
above
and
beyond
the
Call
of
Duty
and
you've
done
that
if
you're
in
the
military
morning,
did
you
get
Congressional
Medal
of
Honor?
F
But
we
don't
have
that
here
we
have
this
combination.
You
deserve
every
bit
of
it
every
letter
of
it,
no
matter
what
you
have
done
in
the
past
continue
doing
what
you're
doing,
because
you're
sending
the
example
amplify,
what
it
means
or
be
a
police
officer
not
only
in
the
city
of
Tampa,
but
throughout
the
United
States
of
America.
It's
not
easy.
It's
very
hard
work
again,
thank
you
for
the
bottom
of
our
heart
from
All
City,
Council
Members,
for
what
you've
done
and
continue
to
do
the
rest
of
your
career
in
tpd.
Congratulations,
sir.
J
L
Good
morning,
Council
Pete
rebbe
on
behalf
of
Busch
Gardens
again
and
as
I
probably
said,
a
couple
hundred
dozen
times
in
my
time.
In
doing
this,
I'd
like
to
continue
to
thank
you
for
honoring,
the
men
and
women
of
law
enforcement.
It's
a
really
important
thing
to
recognize
them
monthly
for
their
service
to
the
community
and
for
allowing
businesses
like
myself
to
have
a
small
part
in
that
before
I
start
to
talk
to
Dave.
L
I
just
want
to
say
that
I've
known
Dave
for
a
long
time
he's
a
phenomenal
police
officer,
he's
a
great
detective
but
he's
probably
a
better
human
being
and
Dave.
On
behalf
of
Neil
Thurman
and
Busch
Gardens
like
to
present
you
and
your
family
some
tickets,
because
I
know
you
want
to
come,
enjoy
the
park
when
your
days
off
and
in
between
your
homicides.
P
L
P
A
N
N
Thank
you
very
much
for
your
service.
It's
awesome.
Thank
you
for
all
the
First

and
who
aren't
here
today.
We
love
you
I've,
been
to
the
citizens.
Police
Academy
I
have
a
little
taste
of
what
it
takes.
I'm
not
cut
out
for
it.

I'm
glad
you
are
congratulations
and
thank
you
for
your
service
on
behalf
of

bought
you
a

to
the

an
annual

to
the

which
we
hope
you
and

in
good
health
and
a
couple
of
cute
cuddly
things
too.

long

hard

much
all
the
sacrifices
that
you
make
and

live
every
day.
So
congratulations
and
thank
you
again.
Thank
you
very
much.
Thank
you.
E

Q
Q
The
meat
market
in
Old,
Hyde,
Park,
the
Chicho
Restaurant
Group,
breakfast
lunch
for
dinner
and
Bella
Brava
over
in
the
Midtown
section
and
I.
Will
you
can
use
these
certificates,
but
they
don't
go
on
forever.
Thank
you.
Q
F
F
V
Good
morning
Council
this
is
my
wife,
Lisa
I'm
I'm,
not
good
at
this
receiving.
You
know
any
kind
of
praise
or
anything
so
I
I
do
I.
Do
appreciate
the
council
taking
time
to
to
show
you
know
to
show
their
thanks
and,
of
course,
the
the
staff
for
doing
the
same.
V
It's
a
it's
I.
Obviously
my
wife
she's
in
with
this
just
as
much
as
I
am
getting
phone
calls
late
at
night
to
go
out.
So
obviously
I'd
like
to
thank
you
for
for
all
that,
putting
up
with
it
just
as
much
as
you
know,
anyone
else.
This
is
not
an
accomplishment,
that's
done
completely
by
myself.
V
V
Truly,
some
of
the
some
of
the
best
I've
I've
been
a
cop
for
18
years,
total
11
years
here
in
Tampa
I've
never
worked
with
a
more
talented
group
of
of
detectives
and
investigators
than
what
I
have
since
I've
been
a
member
of
the
homicide,
Squad,
so
I
think
staff
I
think
Sergeant
sergeant,
lippold
and
Sergeant
Kelly
for
giving
me
the
opportunity
to
to
do
that
and
continue
to
do
that.
So.
Thank
you
very
much.
Thank
you.
Councilman.
S
Well,
I
want
to
say
I
want
to
just
thank
you
and
congratulations
and
the
story
that
Chief
burka
shared
both
stories
are
really
amazing.
Councilman
Miranda
talked
about
how
things
are
on
television
and
I
have
to
say
that
that's
been.
You
know,
one
of
the
most
interesting
things
about
doing
ride-alongs
with
both
police
and
fire,
is
how
nobody
just
jumps
up
and
runs.
It's
all.
S
Just
I
mean
you
do
your
job,
but
it
you
don't
have
to
run
to
get
there
you're
just
doing
what
you
need
to
do
every
day
and-
and
we
greatly
appreciate
you-
choosing
to
use
your
time
and
your
talents
here
in
Tampa
with
Tampa
Police
Department.
We
absolutely
are
incredibly
lucky
to
have
you
and
and
thank
you
and
also
I,
can
tell
what
a
wonderful
person
you
are
because
you
immediately
thanked
your
wife
and.
S
No
and
that,
and
that
just
really
is
the
Hallmark
of
a
true
leader,
so
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you
again
and
enjoy
all
of
your
well-deserved
goods
and
things
you
get
to
do
and
all
the
praise.
So
congratulations
thank.
R
You
customer
Carlson
thank
you
for
choosing
Tampa.
It
sounds
like
you're
a
real
life
hero
and
we
appreciate
the
hard
work
that
you
do
and
which
we
could
replicate.
You
I'm
sure
you
have
a
lot
of
great
colleagues,
but
it
sounds
like
you
know.
We
always
need
more
police
officers.
R
Now
we're
working
I've
heard
from
a
lot
of
your
colleagues
in
the
police
department.
We
need
to
fill
the
200
officer
shortage
and
I.
Want
you
to
know
that
we're
behind
you
all
and
what
you
need
to
get
the
job
done
and
with
with
the
number
of
murders
that
we
hear
all
the
time
we
need.
We
need
a
lot
more
of
you,
so
please
find
your
really
smart
friends
and
bring
them
in
because
we
need
more
of
you.
Thank
you.
Thank
you.
B
Detective
I
wish
we
could
give
every
police
officer
accommodation
every
day,
you're
the
ones
who
keep
the
city
safe.
You
were
the
ones
that
look
after
the
citizens.
We
value
you
as
family
members,
but
today
you
were
chosen
as
the
police
officer
of
the
month.
I'm
glad
you
recognized,
your
wife
shows
you're
a
smart
detective
and
a
smart
man.
Thank
you
for
everything.
You've
done
this
award
is
very
deserving
for
you
and
for
your
wife,
congratulations!
Thank
you.
B
G
G
Well,
calcium,
memories:
you
know
I
found
out
about
an
incident
that
happened
when
I
saw
it
weighs
and
a
life-saving
measure.
That's
what
I
call
it
knowing
his
vehicle,
knowing
his
surroundings
and
being
able
to
act
swiftly,
because
this
incident
I'm
gonna,
let
Mr
Washington,
tell
you
about
and
you're
going
to
see
why
I
wanted
this
recommendation?
Yes,
sir.
Thank
you.
W
Good
morning,
Council
well
Chairman's,
not
here
but
good
morning.
Council
I'm,
Larry,
Washington,
director
of
Southwest
environmental
program
management
and
I'm
here
today
to
come
back
in
the
middle
yeah,
stay
right
here
with
my
team
as
well
to
recognize
Mr
evening
caban
in
his
efforts
to
Save
a
Life
specifically
well,
first
and
foremost,
I
do
want
to
say
thank
you
councilman
goods
for
always
recognizing
us.
It
is
noted
and
we
truly
appreciate
it,
but
back
to
the
the
matter
at
hand.
W
W
W
We
want
to
thank
him
now,
specifically,
I
want
to
recognize
another
person
that
was
first
on
the
scene,
Mr
Bruce,
Allen
and
he's
going
to
get
the
details
and
he's
a
superintendent
for
the
Commercial
Services
Unit
he's
going
to
get
the
details
of
what
took
place
that
day
and
how
collectively
a
life
was
saved.
Mr.
X
Allen
Council
good
morning,
so
this
is
this
is
always
a
shocking
moment
when
a
life
is
involved
in
this
situation,
because
this
individual
could
have
been
crushed
inside
the
cab
inside
the
body
of
this
truck.
So
we
got
the
call
that
there
was
a
body
inside
the
vehicle,
so
congratulating
Mr
caban.
He
did
exactly
what
he
was
trained
to
do.
You
know,
as
it
relates
to
safety.
You
know,
observing
his
cameras
and
and
be
mindful
and
and
and
and
be
extremely
Vision
villaging
with
with
with
everything.
X
So
on
that
specific
day,
while
he
was
packing
his
garbage,
the
blade
he
noticed
hands
were
sticking
up
on
the
blade.
So
at
that
time,
on
the
on
the
truck,
it
has
a
camera
that
actually
looks
down
inside
the
body,
and
at
that
moment
he
stopped
the
truck
and
said,
wait
a
minute.
X
Something
isn't
right
here,
there's
a
human
being
back
there
so
immediately
stopped
the
truck
shut,
the
truck
down,
because
if
you
don't
shut
the
truck
down
the
the
cylinders
in
behind
the
blade
of
the
body
of
the
truck,
it
could
come
back
still
and
operate
and
Crush
that
human
body.
So
he
was
able
to
shut
the
truck
down
completely
made
a
phone
call
to
to
the
office
call
9-1-1.
Everybody
came
out
there
and
you
know
it
was
a.
It
was
an
effort
between
the
police
department
and
fire
rescue.
X
So
they're
not
here
to
recognize
him,
but
I
want
to
commend
them
as
well
for
a
great
job.
You
know
they're
planning
the
way
how
they
Hoist
the
gentleman
out
of
the
body
of
that
truck.
So
you
know,
but
it's
it's.
You
know
we're
all
patiently
just
sitting
there
just
watching
all
this
event
unfold,
you
know
wondering,
is
the
guy
alive.
Is
he
okay?
You
know?
What's
gonna
happen,
you
know,
but
you
know
through
his
effort.
You
know
he
did
a
wonderful
job,
so
this
is
his
moment.
X
So
again
you
know.
Congratulations!
Mr
Washington
already
went
over
your
little
history.
So
it's
no
need
for
me
to
read
this
so.
W
W
G
Today,
we'll
see
the
council
accommodation,
presenter,
Ephraim,
Cabana
and
recognition
every
caban
for
your
Stellar,
courageous
efforts,
determination,
hard
work
as
a
front
load,
automated
driver
with
the
city
of
Tampa,
Southwest
Department.
You
can
begin
his
career
with
the
city
of
Tampa,
saw
waste
department
in
the
EPM
in
2020,
with
20
years
of
prior
service.
Today,
the
Tampa
City
Council
will
see
attend
the
surprise
Museum.
This
combination
from
caban.
We
realize
the
type
of
Excellence
dedication
and
civilized
service.
Everyone
admires
respect
and
cheers
to
success.
G
Y
Y
F
Well,
we
had
an
extraordinary
day
today.
We've
had
individuals
that
have
done
way
and
above
what
they
were
trained
to
do
really
in
a
way
and
and
this
exemplifies
what
an
employee
of
the
city
of
Tampa
goes
through.
Not
if
this
doesn't
happen
every
day,
but
I
know
it
happened
somewhere
else
in
Birmingham,
Alabama
and
I'll
tell
you
guys
the
story
after
this
meeting
is
over
and
it
it's
what
if
he
hadn't
looked
in
the
mirror?
What
have
you
had
not
looked
at
the
camera?
He
would
have
never
known.
F
Y
F
Those
are
the
things
that
make
you
the
award
that
you're
having
today,
not
because
you
just
worked
for
the
city,
but
we
went
way
above
and
beyond
by
making
sure
that
everything
that
you
were
taught
before
you
got
your
commitment
to
drive
and
and
do
what
you
do
on
a
daily
basis
and
keep
the
city
of
Tampa
running.
You
went
and
followed
all
your
instructions,
and
if,
for
that
reason
you
were
able
to
save
a
life
and
not
too
many
individuals
could
come
here
and
say
that
they've
done
what
you've
done.
F
In
fact,
I
know
of
none
so
again
from
behalf
of
the
Tampa
City
Council
I
just
want
to
say
thank
you
to
you,
sir.
Thank
you
what
you
do,
and
now
you
set
the
bar
the
standard
for
all
that
work
in
that
department
to
keep
visit,
to
keep
the
eyes
open
and
to
hear
things
and
God
bless
you
for
what
you've
done.
S
That
is
an
amazing
story.
Yours
and
this
amazing
story,
congratulations
really
just
being
an
actual
Lifesaver.
Now
you
can
put
that
on
your
resume
Lifesaver,
but
just
for
the
fact
that
you,
you
paid
attention
you,
the
quick
thinking
to
turn
off
your
your
truck
and
make
sure
that
person
got
the
help
they
needed.
It's
just
absolutely
amazing.
S
The
fourth
thought
you
had
a
lot
of
people
would
have
Frozen
in
that
space
in
that
time
and
you
did
not
and
in
not
freezing
you
saved
his
life
and
it's
just
a
wonderful
story.
You
deserve
absolutely
all
this
credit
and
thank
you
so
much
for
everything.
You've
done
and
I
know
that
you're
going
to
continue
to
do
wonderful
things.
Thank.
C
I,
don't
know
what
else
there
is
to
say,
you
know,
you're
a
hero
and
when
people
see
stories
like
this
and
hear
this,
you
know
you
make
us
proud.
You
make
your
whole
team,
proud.
You
make
the
whole
city
proud,
you
know
you
save
someone's
life
and
that's
you
know
you
will.
You
will
not
only
be
remembered
for
your
hard
work,
but
for
what
you've
done
and
again,
there's
there's
nothing
more
I
can
say
it's
it's
I'm
honored
to
be
here
with
you.
So
congratulations,
sir.
Thank
you.
B
R
Same
thing,
my
colleague
said
almost
everything
but
I
I
want
to
add
in
a
in
a
world
now
where
we
have
so
many
distractions.
We
see
people
driving
down
the
highway.
You
know
80
miles
an
hour
literally
like
with
both
hands
on
their
phone
texting,
not
paying
attention
they're,
not
even
holding
the
handle
of
the
of
the
car,
and
so
many
people
aren't
paying
attention
anywhere.
That's
why
pedestrians
are
hit
all
kinds
of
things
and
considering
the
work.
You
do
obviously
it's
incredibly
important
to
pay
attention
and
be
present
and
wow.
R
B
Whenever
I
pass
solid
waste
and
I'm
sure
some
of
the
guys
in
here
know
I'm
always
saying
Solid
Waste
rules,
Solid
Waste
rocks
you
guys
are
number
one.
The
amazing
things
that
you
do
for
our
city,
but
today
is
about
you
an
amazing
thing
you
did
for
our
city.
Thank
you
for
saving
a
life.
Thank
you
for
being
part
of
Tampa's
family.
Thank
you
for
making
Tampa
look
good.
C
If,
if
my
group
is
here,
and
somebody
says,
you're
13
and
we
men
are
here
but
they're,
not
they're,
not
ugly,
so
I
said
well,
you
know
it's
a
it's
a
great
group
of
individuals
for
almost
30
years
here
in
Tampa,
helping
giving
back
to
this
community
I've
heard
the
name
13
ugly
men
since
I
was
since
I
was
a
teenager
and
at
first,
when
you
hear
you
go
13
ugly
men,
you
know
what
what
is
this,
but
then
you
look
at
the
community
service
that
they
have
done
how
they
have
given
back
millions
of
dollars
raised,
and
it's
not
just
you
know
the
parades.
C
You
know
you
see
them
in
the
parades
and
their
Floats
or
the
parties
that
they
host
everything
goes
back
to
help
somebody
or
an
organization
or
children
or
whomever
they
may
be.
It's
a
group
of
individuals
that
are
dedicating
to
making
our
community
better
and
they've
they've
made
this
community
better.
Their
fingerprints
are
all
over
the
place
in
a
positive
way
and
how
they've
helped
who
who
wishes
to
come
out?
If
you
all
want
to
come
up
everybody's.
C
Sure
so
we
have
the
city
council
Commendation,
which
is
a
very
small
token
of
appreciation
for
everything
that
you've
done
and
I'll
read
it
quickly.
So
Tampa
City
Council
proudly
recognizes
the
13
ugly
men
for
their
tireless
efforts
and
contributions
to
our
community.
The
13
early
men
were
originally
founded
in
Tampa
in
1994
and
since
that
time
have
hosted
hundreds
of
parties
to
raise
money
for
local
Tampa
Charities
over
two
million
dollars.
C
I
heard
three
million
dollars,
but
it's
a
lot
of
money
has
been
raised
and
donated
to
over
100
local
charities
spanning
the
last
three
decades,
which
is
an
incredible
feat
for
just
a
few
volunteers
whose
motto
is
party
with
a
purpose.
They
have
not
only
raised
money
and
garnered
awareness
for
local
charities.
They
have
also
dedicated
countless
man,
hours,
painting,
buildings
serving
food,
remodeling
fire
houses
and
many
other
acts
of
selflessness.
C
AA
Sure,
and
by
the
way,
the
word
ugly,
it's
my
fault,
I
started
the
whole
thing
so
anyway,
this
is
amazing.
We
really
appreciate
the
recognition
we've
been
doing
this
a
long
time
and
I
said
I'd
be
old
and
bold
by
the
time
we
got
recognition-
and
here
you
have
it
I'm
old.
So,
but
we
really
do
appreciate
it,
the
guys
behind
me
I'm
one
of
the
original
old
guys
now,
but
the
guy's
behind
me
who
are
much
more
attractive.
AA
They
have
brought
us
to
the
next
level
and
these
guys
have
made
it
an
even
bigger
deal,
raising
a
lot
more
money.
The
history
is
back
in
the
day
we
had
too
many
people
attending
our
events,
so
we
had
to
actually
charge
a
cover
to
reduce
the
volume
and
we
charged
the
cover.
We
had
money
and
we
said
we
don't
want
the
money.
We
don't
need
the
money,
let's
give
it
away
to
the
local
charity
and
that's
how
this
all
came
to
be
and
I'm
honored.
AA
These
guys
are
killing
it
behind
me,
I'm,
very
proud
of
them,
and
we
thank
you
guys
for
accommodating
us
today
appreciate
it.
Z
Thank
you
for
the
honor
I've
been
the
president
of
the
group
for
the
past
decade,
and
you
know,
what's
fun
is
seeing
that
you
know
we're
helping
the
Tampa
Theater,
the
children's
Glazer
Museum
we're
using
steps
Towing
where
we're
involved
in
all
these.
It's
really
a
community,
and
it
takes
all
of
us
to
help
the
community,
and
we
want
to
continue
to
do
that.
Z
Even
the
River
Center
is
a
venue
that
we're
looking
to
do
our
derby
party
next
year
at
so
we
thank
you
for
the
honor
and
we
appreciate
the
time
and
the
consideration
and
as
a
really
appreciated
to
get
this
recognition
thanks.
F
Councilman
Miranda,
thank
you
very
much.
I
hate
to
be
the
wind
blower
that
knocks
the
sail
out,
but
all
of
you
are
not
ugly.
Only
some
one
number
two
I
want
to
thank
you
for
everything
you've
done
and
to
make
the
city
of
Tampa
and
the
whole
area
better.
It's
just
not
one
for
everyone
and
number
three
accounts,
16
of
you,
and
it's
only
for
13.,
so
I
mean
my
degree
was
in
criminology.
So
I
study
everything
up
before
I
open
my
mouth,
but
you
guys
are
great.
F
G
13
ugly
men,
I
thought
I
would
live
with
13
illustrious
men,
but
thank
you
for
what
you
do.
Thank
you,
Mr
Maniscalco,
for
recognizing
this
organization
and
God
bless
you
all.
B
S
Thank
you,
everybody
has
a
gift
and
everybody
uses
it
in
a
different
way
and
I
love
the
way
that
you
take
your
enjoyment
of
each
other
and
friendship
and
use
that
to
to
raise
money
for
causes
that
are
important
to
you
and
important
to
our
community.
That
speaks
volumes
as
the
type
of
people
you
are,
and
so,
as
a
as
we
just
want
to.
Thank
you
for
all
the
work
you're
doing
and
you
know,
keep
it
up.
Thank
you.
R
Thank
you
all
so
much
for
what
you
do
thanks
to
Guido,
for
proposing
this
I'm
kicking
myself
for
not
proposing
it
myself.
I've
been
friends
with
Lee
forever
and
I
should
have
I
should
have
thought
about
it
myself.
It's
a
great
idea.
You
guys
deserve
to
be
honored.
You
should
have
been
honored
a
long
time
ago.
R
I
remember
around
I,
don't
remember
exactly
when
y'all
started,
but
I.
Remember
around
that
time
when
the
first
event
started-
and
you
know,
Tampa
has
always
had
great
fun
things
to
do,
but
you
all
put
on
the
best
parties,
the
best
events
and
it
really
changed
the
landscape
of
Tampa.
R
It
changed
the
way
people
thought
about
Tampa
and
the
experiences
that
had
that
people
had
in
Tampa
and
you're
all
I
think
most
all
of
you
are
entrepreneurs,
successful
entrepreneurs,
and
so
you
set
a
great
example
of
how
you
can
add
to
the
economy,
build
a
business
help
with
economic
development
by
creating
wealth
in
the
community,
but
then
you're,
giving
back
and
also
adding
to
the
cultural
scene
and
the
amount
of
money
and
what
you
all
have
done
with
the
community.
R
You
know
very,
as
you
said
very
early
on,
you
all
started,
contributing
Charities
and
great
Charities,
and
you
became
respected
as
a
very
important
non-profit.
I
know
that
Charities
kind
of
like
fight
to
see
who
you're
gonna
who's
gonna
get
your
support.
So
thank
you
all
I've,
had
a
lot
of
friends
have
gone
through
the
group
over
the
years
and
the
problem
is
they
all
get
married?
Often
so
then
they,
their
wives,
tell
them.
They
can't
be
a
part
of
the
parties
anymore,
but
anyway.
R
U
B
You
know
this
group
is
is
doing
great
things.
Look,
there
are
groups
that
go
out
there
and
party
and
have
a
good
time,
but
you
all
party
with
a
passion
and
that
passion
is
to
help
the
community.
I
can't
say
enough
about
the
great
things
that
you
have
done,
especially
especially
with
the
the
things
that
were
listed
by
our
councilman
Maniscalco
am
I
going
to
see
you
all
Saturday
at
the
night
parade.
Oh.
L
B
C
And
one
last
thing,
chairman,
teacher
and
I
are
watch
nuts
and
I
see
quite
a
few
nice.
A
B
Know
what
they
know
what
they
know,
what
they're
talking
about
and
I
just
got
a
1968
Seamaster
on
sorry
about.
F
F
In
fact,
there
were
term
limits
should
have
never
made
it,
but
she's
here
today
with
us
she's,
a
friend
of
mine
for
many
years
more
than
32
years
and
she's
been
working
very
diligently
with
something
that
really
needs
help
most
of
the
time,
if
not
every
minute,
in
our
lives
and
that's
finding
housing
for
individuals
who
really
need
it
through
Tampa
Housing,
Authority
she's
been
working
there
for
32
years.
She
just
retired
about
two
or
three
weeks
ago
and
Lillian.
F
AB
Thank
you,
councilman
Miranda
and
Tampa
City
Council
on
behalf
of
our
Board
of
Commissioners
and
our
president
CEO.
This
is
this
has
been
the
heart
of
Tampa
Housing
Authority
for
32
years.
I've
always
said
nobody
pours
more
love
into
their
work
than
Lillian
Stringer
and
she's
been
so
impactful
on
the
families,
not
just
with
the
job
that
she
does,
which
is
community
relations
and
strategic
Communications.
AB
But
you
know
prior
to
that
role,
she
played
a
very
important
role
in
providing
services
to
our
directly
to
our
families,
to
help
them
gain
greater
levels
of
self-sufficiency
and
the
amount
of
love
that
she's
poured
into
them,
who
impacted
their
lives
for
Generations.
F
On
behalf
of
Tampa
City
Council,
it's
your
recognition
of
what
you've
done,
like
Mr
Moore
said
not
only
what
you
did
yesterday
the
day
before
and
way
back
when
it,
you
started
to
help
many
many
thousands
of
people
and
when
you
help
one,
you
help
a
whole
family.
So
you
multiply
that
by
times
times,
because
then
those
youth
come
up
and
they
have
a
better
place
in
life
because
of
yourself
what
you've
done
and
help
them
get
a
leg
up,
never
a
push
down.
F
So
for
that
the
Tampa
City
Council
presents
you
with
this
accommodation
for
what
you've
done
for
hundreds
of
people,
which
turns
out
to
many
thousands.
When
you
look
at
it,
congratulations
for
being
who
you
are
congratulations
for
doing
your
dedicated
work
on
a
daily
basis.
You
never
gave
up
hope
you
gave
people
the
right
to
feel
something's
going
to
happen
for
the
betterment
and
you've
done
that,
and
because
of
that,
you
recognize
today,
it's
your
day
for
your
accommodation.
Thank
you
Olivia.
So.
AC
Good
morning,
everyone
and
thank
you
all
for
agreeing
to
him
present
the
accommodation
to
me.
I
was
a
product
of
public
housing,
growing
up
with
no
idea
of
having
to
even
go
to
college
or
anything
had
trouble
with
getting
into
college,
but
not
really
getting
into
getting
there.
My
parents
never
talked
of
higher
education
in
my
home.
No
one
ever
graduated,
my
my
father,
my
mother
and
so
I
had
no
Role
Models
about
that,
but
I
always
wanted
to
do
that
to
go
to
college
and
so
I.
AC
Remember
in
second
grade
I
got
accommodation
from
the
Hillsborough
County
public
schools
in
the
third
grade.
I
was
the
highest
score
of
English
composition
in
Hillsborough
County,
and
that
propelled
me
to
continue
on
to
try
and
try
and
try
and
try.
So
here,
I
am
today.
After
30
years
of
having
to
I've,
worked
with
the
Housing
Authority,
having
graduated
from
the
University
of
Maryland
started
out
at
FAMU,
with
the
scholarship
just
didn't
work
out.
AC
For
me,
it
was
a
little
social
show
but
I'm
just
so
thankful
that
I
was
given
the
opportunity
and
that,
despite
my
hard
times
and
economic
hardships,
that
I
was
able
to
see
the
light
ahead.
32
years
at
the
Housing,
Authority
has
provided
me
with
an
opportunity
to
work
with
some
fine
people
to
spearhead
some
fine
programs
that
are
still
operating
today
that
serve
the
senior
citizens.
The
young
people,
but
especially
my
seniors,
because
they're
the
Forgotten
population
I
think
they
paid
their
rent
on
time
their
debit
cards.
AC
They
need
problems
they
acquired,
but
there
was
nothing
for
them
to
do
so.
I
instituted
a
number
of
programs
that
really
propelled
them
to
want
to
be
more
participatory
in
a
lot
of
things
that
we
do.
I
felt
that
they
could
share
so
much
with
young
people.
So
I
wanted
I
created
the
intergenerational
program
where
the
seniors
would
come
in
and
they
would
talk
to
young
people
tell
them
about
how
you
grew
up.
AC
What
times
were
like
what
toys
you
had
back,
then
what
you
didn't
have
and
how
you
made
it
through,
and
so
those
things
still
linger
in.
In
my
heart,
as
a
way
to
always
that
we
should
never
forget
the
people
who
brought
us
along
and
those
are
our
senior
citizens,
and
so
that
remains
a
warm
place
in
my
heart.
I
want
to
say
thank
you
to
Leroy
who's
always
been
a
Firm
support
of
mine.
AC
He
wasn't
always
my
supervisor,
but
when
he
took
over
it
we
I
could
begin
to
see
a
change
in
the
things
and
the
operations
of
the
housing
authority
and
the
way
that
they
were
heading
in
terms
of
making
improvements
for
public
housing
residents.
I
lived
in
College
Hill,
which
was
one
of
the
most
notorious
public
housing
communities
in
the
nation,
I
think
next
to
Center
Park
Village.
AC
As
you
know,
now
it's
beautiful
Encore
downtown,
but
coming
back,
then
I
can
tell
you
that
in
my
mind,
the
things
that
change
public
housing
was
the
Advent
of
the
Vietnam
War,
where
all
of
our
guys
got
drafted
and
when
they
came
back,
all
you
heard
on
the
street
was
reefer
and
reefer,
and
that's
when
everything
started
going
down
in
public
housing
project
at
that
time
was
beautiful.
We
had
a
great
beautiful
yard
contest.
You
could
go,
buy
a
lawnmower
from
the
office
to
take
care
of
your
yard.
It
was
absolutely
fabulous.
AC
We
had
mango
trees,
orange
trees,
avocado
trees,
public
housing
was
a
beautiful
place
until
the
Advent
of
drugs
and
that
my
friends
had
to
turn
public
housing
around.
But
now
I
say
all
of
that
to
say
this.
Where
we
are
now,
we
tore
down
North
Boulevard
Community,
which
was
with
almost
40
acres,
and
it
is
now
the
beautiful
West,
River
Community,
and
if
you
haven't
been
over
there
to
see
it,
it's
a
sight
to
behold.
AC
We
keep
doing
redevelopments
and
improving
lives
and
improving
lives,
not
only
for
just
our
seniors
but
now
for
younger
people
to
have
something
to
Aspire
to
and
to
be
proud
of
where
they
came
from,
and
so
with
that
I
am
just
so
thankful
for
the
hospital.
Your
pattern
provided
me
with
an
opportunity
to
learn
more
about
the
housing
and
Housing
Industry
to
serve
on
national
boards
and
councils
representing
the
housing
authority,
and
it's
always
been
my
pleasure
and
I.
AC
Thank
you
all
right
now
for
that
and
thank
you
Charlie
for
even
when
I
was
a
student
in
high
school
and
then
I
went
to
off
to
college
every
summer.
I
worked
at
the
city
hall
every
single
summer
for
four
years,
and
that
was
unheard
of
I
think,
but
our
old
daughter,
Charlie
and
two
former
mayor
Sandra
Friedman
for
thinking
of
me
as
a
person
who
was
worthy
of
having
that
opportunity.
AC
So
I'm
very
thankful
for
everything
that
God
has
given
me
and
I
look
forward
to
continue
serving
the
community
and
to
pitch
in
wherever
I
can
to
continue
to
make
life
better,
especially
for
our
homeless
population
and
for
those
seeking
housing
and
can't
find
it.
Thank
you
so
much.
G
Miss
ringer,
oh
I'm,
sorry
I've
known
you
a
long
time,
I'm
glad
you
were
able
to
kind
of
share
some
of
the
history
and
story
of
public
housing.
A
lot
of
people
don't
know
back
in
the
day
a
lot
of
our
prominent
leaders
lived
in
those
areas
live.
There
was
not
the
way
it
was
and
you're
right
when
drugs
took
over.
It
declined,
but
I
think
your
leadership
and
your
experience
in
your
your
life
experience.
It
helped
those
in
public
housing
to
show
them.
There
is
a
way
out.
G
You
know,
you
know
people
always
talk,
but
you
walk
the
walk.
I
tell
people.
Dion
is
right
about
what
he
says.
You
know
when
you,
when
you
look
good,
you
feel
good
act
good.
You
do
better,
it's
just
about
a
chance
to
have
an
opportunity
to
do
it
and
get
it,
but
I'm
just
valued
that
you
were
able
to
achieve
it
yourself
and
to
be
able
to
cherish
and
spread
it
to
others
to
make
them
better.
So
for
that
I
say
thank
you.
Enjoy
your
retirement,
but
I
know
you're
not
going
to
be
retired.
G
S
My
mother
was
a
social
worker
in
Central,
Park
Village
in
the
early
70s,
late
60s,
and
it
it
you
are
I
mean
she
tells
stories
of
how
drugs
really
changed
the
community
and
but
of
the
wonderful
people
who
lived
there
and
that's
what
we
can't
forget
when
we
think
about
public
housing
is
all
the
wonderful
people
we
are
helping
and
your
career
just
embodies
that
the
thousands
of
lives
you've
touched
the
way
you've
helped
people
in
ways
you'll,
never
know
and
how,
as
as
Mr
Miranda
said,
just
helping
pay
it
forward
to
the
next
Generation
to
know
what
what
living
in
a
safe
place
is
like
living
able
to
have
housing.
S
C
Thank
you
for
all
your
many
years
of
service.
I.
Don't
think
they
use
the
word
legendary,
but
your
reputation
precedes
you.
You
are
very
well
known
and
your
commitment
and
giving
back
and
serving
and
helping
and
lifting
people
up
talking
about
public
housing.
C
When
my
family
came
here
when
my
mom
with
my
grandparents
from
Cuba
when
they
first
came
to
Tampa,
they
were
at
Robles
Park
and
then
they
were
able
to
rent
a
house
and
then
years
later
buy
a
house.
C
But
you
know
my
family
has
been
directly
affected
because
they
came
here
with
nothing,
but
but
there
were
people
there
that
helped
them
find
a
place
to
to
live
and
to
stay
and
and
60
years
later
my
mom
still
talks
about
it
and
remembers
it
and
again-
and
you
know
they
were
helped
by
the
people
of
this
community.
Just
like
you
have
helped,
and
your
team
has
continuously
helped
to
lift
people
up
and
and
give
them
a
a
good
place
to
live
in.
C
R
Echo
everything
my
colleague
said,
thank
you
so
much
for
your
years
of
service
and
what
you've
done
for
the
community
and
for
people
in
the
community.
I
want
to.
Personally
thank
you
for
keeping
us
City
Council
Members,
updated
in
the
last
few
years
that
I've
been
on
Council.
You
kept
us
informed
about
about,
what's
going
on
and
wish
you
all
the
best
in
in
whatever
you're
going
to
do
next
and
if
we
can
help
in
some
way.
Let
us
know
I
because
of
all
of
that
you've
done
over
the
last
years.
R
B
Thank
you
for
everything.
You've
done,
you've
helped
give
people
four
walls
and
a
roof,
but
what's
more
is
you've
given
them
hope
you've,
given
them
hope
of
a
better
life
and
a
better
life
always
starts
with
a
roof
and
four
walls
to
keep
you
sheltered.
Thank
you
for
everything.
You've
done
enjoy
your
retirement,
but
I.
Don't
think
this
is
the
last
we're
going
to
see
of
you.
Thank
you
for
everything.
You've
done.
