March
10
2023.
This
special
council
meeting
is
being
held
under
Section
2.5,

and
14.5
of
the
procedure
bylaw
for
the
purpose
of
enacting
the
development
potential
tax
relief
declaration
by
law,
2023.

just
wanted
to
add
a
brief
comment,
just
a
reflection
that
I
was
speaking
with
a
member
of
the
Bia
partnership
this
morning
and
they
simply
wanted
to
indicate
their
gratitude
for
Vancouver,
City
Council.
Taking
this
on
and
and
trialing
this.
They
wanted
to
me
to
reflect
their
appreciation
to
staff,
to
Grace
and
Patrice
and
the
rest
of
the
finance
team
for
working
very
diligently
and
quickly
to
help
us
undertake
this
initiative
and
to
Pilot
it
in
the
city
of
Vancouver
and
so
I.

I
simply
wanted
to
reflect
that,
because
I
think
it's
important
that
we
recognize
the
good
work
and
the
hard
work
of
our
staff,
particularly
in
trying
to
mobilize
very
quickly
in
support
of
small
business
and
also
to
council
recognizing
the
importance
that
this
relief
may
offer
our
small
businesses
in
the
city
and
so
I
simply
wanted
to
reflect
that
this
morning.
