COVID-19 Briefing for the CIty of Watertown, SD 03-23-2020
A
A
B
Good
morning,
for
the
last
few
weeks,
representatives
of
the
Coddington
County
have
formed
a
Watertown
task
force.
We've
been
meeting
twice
per
week
for
this
intention
for
this
exact
purpose.
The
South
Dakota
Department
of
Health
today
announced
on
their
website
that
there
has
been
one
case,
a
positive
kovat
19
in
Connaughton
County.
The
task
force
would
still
like
to
remind
everybody
that
the
best
way
to
treat
it
is
not
to
get
the
infection,
is
social,
distancing,
washing
your
hands
and
covering
your
mouth.
C
Good
morning
I'm
mayor
Sarah
Karin.
This
is
important
news
that
we
now
have
a
positive
case
in
our
County,
and
we
know
we
can
reduce
the
impact
of
this
disease
by
acting
proactively
and
aggressively.
This
is
why
the
state
offices
are
closed.
The
schools
are
closed.
The
city
offices
now
are
all
closed
in
the
county
as
well.
Court
services
are
continuing
to
be
operational.
You
may
need
to
call
the
Clerk
of
Courts
before
coming
in.
C
If
you
find
a
locked
door,
you
can
call
and
state
what
your
business
is
and-
and
you
will
get
help-
we've
been
fortunate
to
have
had
time
to
plan.
For
this
we
have
a
unified
command
team
established
we've
been
meeting,
we
have
a
plan
that
we're
carrying
out
and
we
will
continue
to
carry
it
out
and
now
it
is
your
turn
to
do.
Your
part
and
I
am
really
grateful
for
all
the
citizens,
who
already
have
been
proactive
and
I'm
calling
upon
all
citizens
to
do
the
same
stay
home.
