So I called to order the board of public work for tuesday october 13th. I had one on the agenda's: approval of the minutes of the october 6 meeting.

A second all, those in favor aye aye item two we're going to pull from the agenda. That proposal was extended so we'll bring it back when we receive them item. Three is a wastewater treatment facility, improvement project, myron construction, pay, estimate number two.

So uh we did make the initial payment, through uh some extensive discussion, with information that um all the information has been provided. I don't uh if anybody has any questions or objections or discussion. I guess.

How's it going good. I think we working through a lot of work change directives and trying to get that other deduct for the change, orders and stuff construction seems to be moving along. Okay, buildings and selection of items and stuff, so yeah they're out there every day doing what they need to do. So it's uh be nice once we get all the underground work or the majority of it completed here. This fall so.

Eric were you satisfied with the submission of the engineer's recommendation letter? I read it too, but I don't understand all of it so yeah, but the form looked good.

Yeah, I am, and um I think when I had that discussion with alan, um I just asked him to reference the contract documents and be consistent from this point forward. So.

Favor item four: is the drinking water treatment facility, uh the myerin construction pay estimate number two. So in the drinking water um same, I have to review becker hoppe's review. All documents are here and I would make a motion to approve a second any discussion.

Item fives public works, re-roofing projects, cnc services, final payment- I did talk to rick uh down at streets, um he's satisfied with the work they've been very responsive to address their concerns, so I would make a motion to approve the final payment.

Item six is the industrial park, lift station rehab project august winter and suns pay estimate number four uh clark. Dietz is uh inspecting on this. They reviewed the pay request and they're comfortable with this. I would make a motion to approve.

Favor item seven is a 2020 bridge street bridge repair project from london construction. Their pay request number three.

This is for the joint replacement and overlay on the bridge street bridge. This was reviewed by our consultant, joe blume at arizona associates myself, and we recommend approval.

Favor item eight is a discussion of possible action on a contract extension with london construction for the bridge street bridge repair project.

Again, this is for the work being done on the bridge street bridge. There are two main reasons that london is a requesting extension, the first being a conduit that was going through the parapet, walls that needed to be removed, destroyed and a fiber to be removed.

The fiber in that conduit was owned by insight and they said that they would need a minimum of two weeks to get that removed due to the outages that would occur after approximately two weeks of waiting for that to be removed.

We discussed with insight some alternatives that they didn't have to remove it and we moved on without removing the fiber and using alternative methods.

So, while london was out there continuing to do work, they were not working in a sequence that they're typically using, so they are less efficient.

C

During those roughly two weeks, the other one is during a joint repair.

C

We need to remove approximately three additional feet on either side of the joint for the entire length of the bridge, because there is an existing cold joint there. We didn't know how bad it was when we first did the design until we got underneath the bridge and saw the bridge was actually pulling away from where the concrete was separating.

So we decided to remove an extra three feet of the bridge on either side of that joint.

You can see that that's going to increase the quantity, so this is a approximately 30 000 extra, but we don't know what that impact to the contract is going to be yet because that.

There's going to be some items that run under as well, so once we know the full financial impact we'll bring that as a change order, but this is just for the time extension.

um There has also been some concerns regarding um how long it's taking for the bridge to be completed. I believe that these are valid reasons to extend the time. However, we talk to london and we would like them to have the bridge open to pedestrian access by october 23rd and to all vehicles by october 30th, and then their completion date would be november 7th, I believe, that's november 6th, so we feel that those dates are fair and we recommend approval of this time. Extension.

I'll move to approve a contract extension for london construction for the bridge street bridge repair from 10 16 of 20 to 11 6 of 20, with the conditions that tj outlined.
