And I'd like to welcome all uh committee members uh and and officers to the meeting and we've received apologies uh from councillor to goron and who I know is- is attending um a bus uh forum related meeting, uh but councillor craig hill has agreed to substitute so uh welcome denise to the meeting and agenda item. One is declarations of interest and do members have anything to declare at this stage.

I can't see any so, therefore, uh nothing to declare under declarations of interest.

We then move on to gender item two exclusion of press and public, so this is to consider the exclusion of the press and public um for consideration of annex a to agenda item, seven, which is a pension or exit discretion on the grounds that it contains information relating to individuals and the financial affairs of particular persons um under the local government act 1972 and we'll consider that item at the end of the meeting and so have as much as uh possible in in public.

But could I see those in favor of agreeing when we get to agenda item seven exclusion and press and public? Thank you. Council hook. You're you're quicker than my hand was go was going. Thank you all. So it's a clear majority in favor of excluding the press and public and and then agenda item. Three is the minutes of the previous meeting, which were on pages one to six. Are there any matters arising from the the minutes?

um If not, if I could see those in favor of accepting the minutes, please thank you very much so again, a clear majority in favor of accepting the minutes. Thank you very much and then we move to agenda item 4, which is public participation and there are no registered public participants for today's staffing matters and urgency and just to to know anybody, obviously watching at home or afterwards is very uh welcome. um And then we move on to gender item.

Five changes to membership of committees and outside bodies- and this is listed on pages seven to ten and there's also been an agenda supplement uh that has been published but I'll bring uh jamie berrien to introduce this jamie.

um Thank you chairs. This is our report, uh which notifies of changes to appointments to the various committees and in the agenda you can see the details. I just want to explain the reasoning around the supplemental agenda.

If I may, I've been approached by councillor taylor, who has expressed to me his desire to come off the audit and governance committee, um he has also asked to um come off the outside bodies that he represents he's informed me that he did approach the leader of the council to consider um his appointing a suitable replacement for his committee position on the audit and governance committee. I understand that the liberal democrats have put forward um a nominee for the audit and governance committee.

Obviously, when I re uh prepared this supplemental report, the details were not available at that time, but I just want to clarify that this is the the expressed wishes and feelings of counselor dave taylor at this time also confirmed that, with councillor dave taylor's agreement, um he is willing to have a place on the housing appeals panel as well, so that is included in the supplemental report castle.

Taylor did sit on a number of outside bodies which are listed on page two of the supplemental agenda and my colleague angela democrat democracy officer, will now just go through the nominees for the replacements to those outside bodies. Thank you, chair.

So the nominees that we have for um the ang committee is councillor davny and for outside bodies. It's councillor. Baker looked at the children, councillor gone for waste and minerals plan, councillor baker or councillor dagon. If there's been mickel gate discussed on the terry's community forum, councillor de garnon wentlock telus councillor de bone on the york how to ring road board with councillor craig hill to sub.

And that's all of the appointments.

Thank you very much for those and and presumably a list, a list of those changes. The ones in the papers and also the supplementary changes will be added to the minutes. Yes uh published and obviously reflected on the the council committee uh structure. Yes, they will chair, I I don't have anything to add um councillor craig hill. Do you about your nominations? Are you happy? Are you happy with them, as as as read so just to open that item first to any uh questions or comments for uh janey?

If not obviously, we've got um pages seven to ten in front of us, uh with a number of nominations um that we are requested to to change and, and then those uh read verbally from angela and obviously the reasons give given by janie and and then the recommendation is that we're asked to consider the uh changes and approve them uh to committee and outside body uh appointments.

um So with no questions or comments, could I see those in favor of that recommendation? Please. Thank you very much. So that's a clear majority in favor of recommendation uh at paragraph nine on page nine. um So that then um takes us on to agenda item six, which is the committee uh work plan and over to trudy, foster.

Yeah, thank you chair, um so we've included. um We made amendments um following the papers at the last month's meeting, so the papers that you'll, so the dates fun so november and december dates- have actually been published. Now, with the 16th of november and the 14th of december, um um the meeting in december will bring back the workforce, democrat demographics and also it's proposed we'll bring back at that time. The clg structure.

Thank you very much um and then we can move on to agenda item seven before we do uh just for the minutes um agenda item. 8 is urgent, business and- and I haven't uh got or been told that we have uh any business that is considered urgent and just for the record and now we'll move to general item 7, which is the pension or exit discretion, but as agreed earlier in the meeting and we'll drop into uh private sessions.
