Welcome + Opening Remarks - Suzanne Daniels, Spotify & Martina Iglesias Fernandez, Roadie
A
Yeah,
we
will
will
be
your
hosts
today,
so
we
will
introduce
the
speakers
and
well
we
wish
you
a
warm
welcome
and
there's
another
one
another
one
wanting
to
wish
you
a
warm
welcome.
It's
Bowie,
the
backstage
Beaver,
saying
hi
to
you
all.
A
Isn't
that
cute
right,
so
I'm
so
happy
to
see
you
all
here
today.
It
is
a
very
special
moment.
This
is
not
only
talking
about
backstage
as
a
platform
to
create
developer
portals.
We
share
a
common
goal.
We
share
a
common
love.
A
We
want
to
get
the
red
World
rid
of
developers
who
are
unhappy
not
by
removing
the
developers
but
by
making
them
happy
actually
and
there's
many
reasons
to
do
so.
But
first
let
me
thank
the
diamond
sponsors,
that's
Roadie,
Spotify
and
VMware
tansu
and,
of
course,
our
Platinum
sponsors.
Thank
you
so
much
for
making
this
all
possible
and
also
the
cncf
for
organizing
this
event.
It's
a
lot
of
work
putting
this
together
and
it
costs
a
lot
of
money.
So
thank
you
all
for
making
this
possible.
A
So,
yes,
we
share
this
common
love
and
that
is
making
developers
happy
more
productive
to
make
it
a
better
world
to
improve
the
philosophy
at
our
companies
the
pace
at
what
we
can
innovate,
that's
what
we
do
and
the
tool
bringing
us
all
together.
That
is
backstage
it's
the
platform
making
that
all
possible
and
you
make
the
platform
possible
by
contributing
to
it
by
sharing
knowledge
together
with
the
community,
making
it
the
best
developer
experience
out
there.
A
And
you
need
to
be
able
to
do
that
and
you
need
to
be
able
to
share
knowledge
we're
here
at
Cloud
native
events
just
look
around
when
you
have
the
time
in
the
following
days
and
see
how
many
projects
are
there?
How
much
tooling
is
needed
to
build
modern
day
software
to
build
modern
day
platforms,
and
you
need
to
learn
all
that
technology.
You
need
to
adopt
all
that
technology.
A
A
A
A
And
there
were
some
highlights
this
year
we
celebrated
our
second
birthday,
open
source
backstage
yeah
well
and
if
there's
one
thing
to
applaud
on
it's
reaching
incubator
status
that
that's
really
a
big
one,
because
it
shows
it
shows
the
world
that
they
can
trust
backstage.
They
can
invest
in
this
project.
It's
safe
to
adopt
this
because
reaching
incubating
phase,
it's
not
nothing.
A
It's
a
huge
achievement
and
we
will
continue
investing
together
with
you
all
are
reaching
that
graduation
States
and
we
released
1.0,
which
was
also
another
milestone,
and
we
are
now
in
a
regular
Cadence.
Releasing
new
versions
and
also
the
Fret
model
was
introduced,
and
we
had
our
first
security
audit,
which
we
well
passed.
So
that's
also
good
news
and
very
important
for
a
lot
of
regulated
environments
and
adapters
and
well.
A
This
fellow
was
introduced-
and
this
is
backstage
backstage
Beaver
Bowie,
which
is
our
what's,
is
our
mascot,
which
is
a
really
huge
achievement
as
well,
because
it
is
difficult
choosing
an
animal
starting
with
b.
You
don't
you
don't
want
to
know
the
discussions
we
had,
but
we're
happy
and
welcoming
Bowie
as
well
to
our
warm
community
of
in
in
backstage
and,
yes,
you
can
also
join
the
community.
If
you're
not
aware,
there's
a
landing
page
on
our
website,
backstage.io
Community
there,
you
can
find
out
out
all
the
community
initiatives.
A
B
Thank
you,
okay.
So
a
few
things
happening
today
this
week
we
have
a
project
meeting
happening
tomorrow
at
8,
8
A.M
and
there
is
limited
space.
So
if
you
want
to
sign
up,
you
need
to
find
Ben
I.
Think
there.
That's
the
fellow
way
finger
so
make
sure
you
can
find
him
to
register.
For
that
meeting.
It's
going
to
be
very
interesting.
B
We
have
sponsor
tables
right
outside
of
the
room.
Please
check
them
out
during
the
breaks
you
can
talk
to
maintainers
or,
like
all
the
sponsors,
and
so
on.
It's
going
to
be
very
interesting
for
anyone
needing
transcription
or
subtitles.
There
is
a
QR
code,
I
think
in
one
of
the
signs
by
the
right
entrance.
B
And
there's
also
a
community
session
happening
on
Wednesday.
This
will
be
live
streamed,
and
so
we
won't
get
a
room
for
that
to
do
it
in
person,
but
you
can
join
it
anyway.
We
will
have
a
panel
discussion
with
some
special
guests,
I
wanna,
see
and
we'll
also
discuss
a
little
bit
about
what
happened
today
and
today
what's
happening.
We
have
a
few
very
interesting
keynote
talks.
We
will
have
a
session
from
the
maintainers
as
well,
then
we
will
have
a
few
lightning
talks
and
then
the
rest
of
the
sessions,
all
of
them
super
interesting.
