Welcome Remarks
A
Good
morning,
well,
it's
9
o'clock
seems
like
we
have
quorum,
so
I
think
we
are
ready
to
start
the
day
if
you
want
to
find
your
seat.
Thank
you
all
very
much
for
deciding
to
spend
your
day
with
us.
There
was
a
lot
of
co-located
events,
so
we
appreciate
you
making
the
hard
decision
to
spend
the
time
with
us,
and
hopefully
we
can
deliver
you
a
good
day
today.
A
My
name
is
Michael
Ducey
I'm,
one
of
the
members
of
six
security,
I
work
for
a
company
called
statistic
and
I
helped
maintain
a
CNC
F
open-source
project
called
Falco.
So
the
day
is
not
about
me,
though.
However,
so
I'd
give
you
a
little
bit
of
overview
over
the
schedule.
We're
gonna
have
sessions
for
about
an
hour
and
a
half
we'll
take
a
30
minute
break.
The
break
will
be
kind
of
in
and
out
here
there
should
be
snacks.
A
Also,
when
we
have
lunch,
lunch
will
be
outside
as
well,
and
then
we
can
use
the
tables
in
here
to
eat
and
then
we're
going
to
do
something
called
open
spaces
which
I'll
talk
about
here
in
a
second
who
has
no
idea
what
open
spaces
are
all
right:
who's
that
who's
ever
done
an
open
space,
alright,
so
everyone
who
just
raised
their
hand
who
have
done
an
open
space.
You
have
been
nominated
as
volunteers.
You
have
all
volunteered
as
tribute
to
help
make
sure
that
the
open
spaces
go
well.
A
I'll,
explain
open
spaces
here
in
just
in
a
second
and
then
to
make
sure
that
you
don't
wander
away
too
far
during
open
spaces.
We
have
a
closing
you
know
and
the
closing
talk
is
going
to
be
on
the
kubernetes
security
audit
that
happened
over
the
summer,
which
should
be
some
good
contents
to
keep
you
around.
At
least
that's
the
idea.
If
that
doesn't
keep
you
around
there's
a
short
happy
hour
before
we
move
into
the
lightning
talks
that
the
CNC
office
hosting
as
part
of
Google.
A
A
So
we'll
have
two
groups
for
open
spaces
in
here
and
then
we'll
have
four
rooms
that
one
two
three
four
you
can
see
down
in
the
corner
with
a
chair
setup,
we
can
use
that
space
as
well,
and
this
will
make
a
lot
more
sense
to
you
when
I
explain
what
open
spaces
are
we'll
do
in
a
second
of
course,
this
day
wouldn't
be
possible
without
our
sponsors.
So
a
big
thank
you
to
our
sponsors.
Let's
give
them
a
big
round
of
applause.
A
And
also
the
day
wouldn't
be
possible
without
the
CNC
F
taking
this
idea.
This
was
an
idea
that
we
proposed
on
six
security
and
we
decided
we
wanted
to
do
it.
The
sig
chairs
were
very,
very
supportive
of
us,
and
a
small
team
of
us
got
together
to
put
together
this
day
and
the
cloud
native
computing
foundation
helped
sponsor
the
day
as
well,
and
they
said
that
they
would
take
financial
responsibility
and
then,
of
course,
the
sponsors
helped
with
that
as
well.
So
big,
thank
you
to
the
CNC
F
for
hosting
this
force
as
well.
A
A
Unfortunately,
she
was
not
able
to
make
it
today,
but
she
knew
she
wasn't
gonna
be
here
at
koukin
and
she
just
ran
with
this
and
helped
us
organize
this
event
and
something
that
she's
not
even
going
to
be
able
to
participate
in
and
take
part
of
and
I
just
really
wanted
to
recognize
her
because
she
did
a
lot.
So,
let's
all
break
out
our
phones,
let's
all
tweet
at
Emily,
and
send
her
a
kind
message.
I'm
gonna
do
that
real,
quick,
so
I
have
one
queued
up.
A
And
there
we
go
so
please
give
your
thanks
to
Emily
Gareth
as
well
where's
Gareth
in
the
room
there.
He
is
over
there
and
Amy
I.
Think
Amy
was
in
here,
but
I,
don't
think
so
anymore,
a
big
thanks
to
them
as
well
and
JJ
for
helping
organize
this
offensive
squad.
So
if
you
see
one
of
them,
please
say
something
show
them.
As
with
all
Linux
Foundation
CN,
CF
events,
there
is
a
code
of
conduct.
This
is
the
link.
If
there's
an
issue
or
a
problem,
please
find
me
or
find
one
of
the
scenes.
A
Yes,
staff
members
and
the
blue
shirts
and
we'll
be
happy
to
help.
You
hope
you
are
so.
Let's
talk
about
open
spaces,
and
let
me
just
get
my
timer
back
up
so
I
know
make
sure
I'm
on
time.
Here
there
we
go
all
right,
so
open
spaces
is
a
style
of
unconference,
and
so
one
of
the
things
that
we
wanted
to
try
and
accomplish
by
putting
together
this
day
is
that
we
wanted
to
have
the
industry
experts
and
the
you
know.
A
People
come
up
and
speak
to
you
give
you
kind
of
their
idea
of
how
they're
doing
things
in
the
security
world
in
the
cloud
native
world,
but
those
style
of
conferences
we
we
tend
to
do
them
over
and
over
and
over
again
and
you're.
Gonna
spend
the
next
three
days
here.
Having
people
on
stage
talking
to
you
fire
time
and
you'll.
A
Have
this
hallway
track
that
goes
on
or
you'll
find
a
table
at
lunch
and
you
sit
down
and
you
start
talking
to
people,
then
you
have
these
natural
organic
conversations
about
what
really
matters
you
start
to
come
out
and
those
tend
to
be
extremely
valuable,
but
open
spaces
is,
is
essentially
a
way
that
we
can
structure
the
hallway
tract
for
you.
So
those
unstructured
conversations
that
just
you
can
explain
your
problem.
You
can
get
feedback
and
get
advice
from
your
peers
and
the
people
who
aren't
always
on
stage
talking
about
what
they're
do.
So.
A
This
is
a
picture
from
Spotify,
so
it
must
be
good
right,
and
so
this
is
essentially
what
we're
going
to
do
today.
We're
going
to
build
this
schedule.
We
have
this
board
big
white
board
in
the
back.
There's
post-it
notes
back
there
as
well,
and
what
we're
going
to
do
is
we're
going
to
write
down
our
ideas
for
topics
that
we
want
to
discuss
during
the
open
space
time.
A
So
there's
a
schedule
and
then
there's
also
the
rules
and
I'm
gonna
go
through
the
rules
and
the
rules
just
allow
us
to
have
a
little
bit
of
structure
so
that
it's
not
complete
anarchy
in
the
unconference
right.
So
I've
already
talked
about
this,
but
the
schedule
is
going
to
look
like
this.
I
will
fill
this
in
and
this
will
be
on
the
screen
in
here.
A
While
we're
doing
the
open
spaces,
I'll
also
make
sure
that
we
tweet
a
photo
out
of
it
so
that
it's
easily
accessible
and
you
can
find
it
and
then,
of
course,
it'll
be
back
there
as
well.
So
we're
going
to
have
six
different
spaces
and
we're
gonna
have
four
different
time
slots,
which
means
we
need
how
many
ideas
24
very
good,
very
good.
That's
why
you
work
in
computer
science
I
guess
so.
We
need
24
topics.
So
it's
really
up
to
you
to
build
what
your
afternoons
gonna
look
like
in
this
format.
A
A
Whatever
happens
happens,
so
don't
necessarily
be
disappointed
in
the
result.
So
if
you
didn't
get
everything
that
you
wanted
out
of
the
conversation,
that's
fine,
you
can
always
move
on
and
go
to.
The
next
conversation
when
it
starts
is
the
right
time,
and
also
when
it
ends
is
the
right
time.
However
I've,
given
you
a
very
strict
schedule
that
you
need
to
follow,
but
if
you
start
10
minutes
late,
it's
okay!
If
the
conversation
actually
starts
in
the
hallway
before,
while
you're
waiting
the
room
to
free,
that's,
okay,
too.
A
You
also,
if
you're
done
with
the
conversation,
and
you
feel
like
you've
solved
it
in
five
minutes.
Don't
feel
like
you
need
to
belabor
the
point
and
continue
to
have
the
conversation
go
on,
and
that's
kind
of
that
point
right
there
when
it's
over
it
it's
over
and
be
comfortable
walking
away
from
the
conversation.
A
Nobody
in
the
group
should
be
offended
that
you
got
up
and
walked
away
and
so
feel
free
to
do
that,
because,
if
you're
not
contributing
or
you're,
not
learning
anything,
then
what's
the
point
of
continuing
to
be
there
and
then
bring
your
best
self.
So
this
is
just
goes
back
to
being
respectful
of
your
fellow
people
in
the
group
making
sure
that
people
are
getting
time
to
talk.
A
There
will
be
whiteboards
or
flip
charts
in
each
one
of
the
rooms
as
well,
that
you
can
use
to
write
down
any
notes
if
you
need
to
park
something
and
how
cover
it
later.
If
you
want
to
take
notes
as
well
and
share
them
out,
that's
also
a
good
idea
as
well.
If
somebody
wants
to
describe
in
the
actual
open
space
itself,
so
this
takes
us
into
our
sessions,
so
first
up
any
questions
about
open
spaces.
Before
we
jump
into
into
the
sessions,
so
the
post-its
will
be
back
there
throughout
the
morning.
A
They'll
feel
free
to
start
just
putting
up
your
ideas
and
your
topics
as
you
go
in
and
out
of
the
room,
especially
during
break
as
well.
Alright,
we
want
to
make
sure
that
we
have
enough
topics
so
that
by
lunch
time
we
can
actually
go
and
build
the
schedule
during
lunch
all
right.
So
with
that
we
have
a
gentleman
from
IBM
cloud
who's
going
to
open
the
day.
For
us,
you.
