Description
Welcome to the Kubernetes Community Days 2022 in Berlin !
A
Welcome
everyone:
my
name
is
Lexi
nadolski,
that's
very
loud
I'm.
Currently
the
community
program
manager
at
Microsoft
I
used
to
work
for
kinvoke
as
the
events
director
yeah
putting
together
community
events
like
all
systems,
go
I,
don't
know
if
anybody's
heard
of
that
one,
but
that's
started
in
2017,
and
that
was
basically
my
first
time
kind
of
being
in
a
in
touch
with
the
cloud
native
community
in
my
career
before
that
it
was
all
non-profits,
so
very
different.
I
also
remember.
A
A
Many
of
you
might
not
know
this,
but
all
who
have
oh
sorry,
wrong
wrong
thing.
Yeah
many
of
you
might
not
be
aware,
but
the
original
organizers,
which
is
Carlos
panatos
Tina
from
sis
eleven
Chrissy
from
coopermatic
and
myself.
We've
been
actually
planning
this
kcd
since
2019,
and
obviously
that
didn't
really
go
over
very
well,
because
we
had
the
pandemic
come
and
change
our
lives
forever,
and
we
really
firmly
believed
that
kcd
Berlin
should
be
in
person.
A
A
Thank
you
for
coming
and
I'm
really
happy
that
we
could
all
be
here
together
again,
and
we
hope
that
this
is
the
first
of
many
future
Berlin
kcds
and
that
we
can
get
together
to
help
growth
and
grow
and
strengthen
the
community
here
in
this
amazing
International,
diverse,
vibrant
and
sometimes
a
bit
crazy
City
that
we
all
love
so
much.
A
While
writing
these
opening
remarks
in
the
middle
of
the
night
I
had
time
to
reflect
upon
what
makes
Berlin
community
so
special
and
so
unique
Berlin
is
truly
an
Innovation
Hub,
where
the
first
cncf
organized
kubecon
EU
was
took
place
and
it
was
chosen
as
this
location
because
it
was
the
center
of
the
cloud
native
Community
here
in
Europe.
Those
close
to
the
initial
decision
at
the
cncf
have
told
me
that
they
really
really
needed
the
event
to
be
held
in
a
center
Hub
because
they
I
mean
it
was
early
days.
A
So
that
says
a
lot.
The
cloud
native
Community
was
booming
in
this
city
at
the
time
and
still
continues
to
providing
home
to
early
adopter
companies
like
SoundCloud,
from
which
Prometheus
project
was
born.
Some
people
did
not
know
that
and
zalando
and
of
course,
kuros's
European
offices,
sys,
11,
kin,
Volk
and
many
more
startups
recent,
like
polar
signals
and
cubestac,
and
many
many
more
and
as
I
mentioned
earlier.
A
It
also
was
the
stage
for
many
community
events
and
Berlin
meetups
and
conferences,
like
all
systems
go
go
days,
Tech,
open
air,
Berlin,
buzzwords
and
many
many
more
so
we're
always
looking
for
volunteers
in
the
community
to
help
with
these
initiatives.
So
you
know
reach
out
and
get
involved.
A
I
would
also
like
to
take
some
time
to
go
over
logistical
items.
Some
things
have
changed
due
to
the
weather,
so
we
are
still
doing
two
days
two
tracks,
but,
as
you
can
see,
it's
going
to
be
inside
it's
going
to
be
a
little
tight,
but
I
think
it's
going
to
be
great
anyway.
So
please
again,
wear
your
masks.
A
There
is
a
QR
code
actually
on
everybody's
badges
on
the
back.
So
if
you
just
scan
this
QR
code,
you
could
see
who's
speaking
where
this
will
be
stage.
One
on
on
the
actual
agenda
and
stage
two
is
downstairs.
A
Right,
we
have
two
coffee
breaks
today:
a
lunch
break,
and
tomorrow
it's
just
one
coffee
break
and
a
lunch
break
and
special
thanks
to
our
coffee
sponsors
I've
already
enjoyed
my
latte
so
very
grateful
to
GK
software
I
hope
you
guys
also
enjoyed
that.
We
also
are
providing
12
soft
drinks,
so
there's
a
card
in
your
badges
and
it
has
12
stamps
so
for
the
next
two
days
you
could
have
any
of
the
soft
drinks.
A
Anything
else
is
available
for
purchase
what
else
we
are
giving
snacks
and
some
vegan
wraps,
but
of
course,
first
come
first
serve
and
also
we
would
like
you
to
go
explore
any
other
food
options
just
across
the
bridge.
There's
plenty
of
different
little
Empanada
stations
and
it's
quite
nice
actually
to
go
out
and
explore.
So
we
encourage
you
to
do
that
to
the
do
that
and
after
the
last
today,
which
should
be
at
around
605.
A
Hopefully,
if
we're
on
schedule,
we
have
the
all
attendee
party
and
it
will
go
until
around
9
00
PM,
all
attendees
are
invited.
Actually
Garden
I
o
is
providing
all
free
beer
for
the
entire
party.
I
was
trying
to
think
of
a
beer
garden
joke
with
Garden
IO,
but
I
couldn't
think
of
one
so
just
insert
some
witty
line
here,
but
yeah
sorry
guys.
I
I
was
like
Dad
jokes,
no,
not
my
forte.
A
Anyway,
they
are
providing
free
beer
again
and
all
other
beverages
are
available
for
purchase
for
everybody,
right
pictures
and
videos
are
being
taken.
So
if
anybody
has
an
issue
about
being
photographed
or
captured
on
video,
please
let
our
our
registration
team
know,
and
they
will
let
me
know,
and
so
we
can
make
sure
that
you
are
your
privacy.
Privacy
is
protected
and
I
know
some
people
were
asking.
But
of
course,
this
kcd
organizing
team
is
dedicated
to
providing
a
harassment,
Free
Conference.
A
So
we
are
abiding
by
the
Linux,
slash
the
ncf
code
of
conduct
and
if
there's
any
issues
that
arise,
you
could
identify
all
of
the
organizers
with
these
t-shirts,
very
cool
and
just
let
us
know
if
you
have
any
comments,
any
issues,
any
feedback,
we're
always
here
to
listen
and
now,
thanks
to
our
all
of
our
supporters,
without
whom
this
event
would
not
be
possible.
A
So
now
I
really
do
have
to
read
the
organizing
sponsors
Microsoft
sys11
kubermatic,
who
have
been
here
from
the
beginning:
gold
sponsors,
capgemini,
silver
sponsors,
Garden,
IO,
Souza
and
cystic
the
bond
sponsor
of
red
hat
and
any
nines
our
community
sponsors
nginx
and
serve
you
technical
support
and,
finally,
our
media
sponsors,
German
tech,
jobs
and
additionally,
additionally,
any
profit
from
this
event
will
be
donated
to
leave
no
one
behind
and
it's
a
non-profit
that
basically
works
with
refugees
from
all
over
the
globe,
not
just
one
crisis
but
every
crisis.
A
Lastly,
I
would
like
to
tell
you
guys
how
appreciative
I
am
for
our
program
committee
and
our
organizers,
the
speakers
that
stood
by
us
who
worked
tirelessly
to
try
to
make
this
event
a
success
for
the
Berlin
Community.
Sorry
I'm,
getting
a
little
emotional

do
inspiring
work
and
you're
such
dedicated
individuals
and
through
the
last
last
two
plus
years.
It
has
treated
me
truly
to
sorry
I'm
getting
a
little
emotional.
It's
truly
taught
me
that
as
a
community,
we
are
stronger
together.
Thank
you
for
them,
