From YouTube: CNCF Telecom User Group Meeting - 2021-08-02
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
So,
let's
see
if
anyone
has
any
interesting,
kubecon
n,
a
or
o
nes
track
our
events,
they
should
be
coming
out
this
week
and
keep
in
mind.
You
could
drop
them
in
here,
so
that
folks
will
see
those
and
be
aware
of
things
that
are
interesting
to
our
community
and
with
that
I'll
hand
it
over
to
is
it
nikia,
pam.
A
C
A
This
is
about
cnf
deployments,
correct
all
right.
C
Okay,
so
yeah
good
morning,
good
evening,
everyone,
my
name,
is
angie
and
I'm
glad
to
be
here
to
share
with
the
community
our
community
yeah
about
this
demonstration.
C
It
is
the
end
to
end
lte
network
cnf
deployed
on
the
kubernetes
infrastructure
yeah.
There
are
two
tasks
in
regarding
to
this
yeah.
The
first
one
is
to
deploy
the
whole
end-to-end
lte
network
onto
the
kubernetes
infrastructure
and
the
next
one
that
is
to
do
some
advanced
configuration
in
the
4g
network,
and
this
is
the
network
slicing
and
it
is
to
see
how
the
kubernetes
behave
and
support
the
complicated
configuration
inside
the
k8s
okay.
C
So
I
move
on
to
the
setup
of
the
demo,
I'm
just
using
the
virtualbox
virtualization
and
you
can
see
there
I'm
using
two
vm
inside
the
virtualbox
outfit
structure
for
the
kubernetes
infrastructure,
I'm
using
the
rancher
platform
to
install
the
kubernetes
and
then,
after
that
we
have
the
docker.
The
cni
is
taliko
the
cnf
itself,
I'm
using
the
hem
chart
repo
from
openversal,
and
that's
very
brief
information
for
the
setup
of
this
demo.
C
For
the
lte
network
functions
epc,
including
the
mme
x
gateway,
p
gateway,
I'm
using
open
5gs
and
the
same
for
the
hsn
and
pcif
I'm
also
using
open5gs.
C
C
Okay,
here
is
the
one
that
I
introduced.
So
the
two
note
is
here
inside
the
kubernetes.
I
have
a
list
of
namespace
already
one
of
that
just
created,
that's
the
demo
4g.
C
C
C
A
C
C
For
the
values
here
I
need
to
change
a
little
bit:
the
mcc
and
the
mnc,
the
key
parameter
defining
the
the
telco
network.
So
I
need
to
change
this
to
0
0
1
for
the
mcc.
C
This
is
yeah
for
it
to
match,
with
the
this
parameter
of
the
run
network
later
on.
C
There's
one
thing
I
need
to
tweaks
a
bit.
I
realize
this
is
the
new
thing
just
added
in
the
latest
release
of
the
open
5gs.
That's
there's
one
container,
it's
it's
not
up
and
running
fully.
Yet
what
I
need
to
do.
C
Okay,
it's
good!
I
don't
need
to
change
anything
next.
Okay,
so
now
you
can
see
in
dimension
namespace
demo,
4g
huge
list
of
network
function
or
the
cnf
just
created
using
that
hem
chart.
C
C
C
C
C
C
So
inside
these
ones
we
have
this
information
for
the
ue.
Already
it's
it's
just
the
database.
We
need
to
add
or
config
in
order
and
to
make
sure
that
the
ue
is
registered
into
the
epc
network.
So
this
information
need
to
be
subscribed,
so
the
emzy
and
the
key
and
the
opc
also
slice
configuration
so
the
first
one
yeah
this
one.
It's
yeah,
four
one,
one:
zero:
zero,
zero,
zero,
zero
one
one
the
first
ue
is
added.
C
C
D
I
mean
I
mean
the
moment:
you
turn
the
oe
and
it
initiates
with
the
cm
connection,
mode
or
registration
mode
and
looking
at
the
equipment
that
you
use
through
the
emei
or
through
the
mac,
and
then
you
know,
checks
on
the
registration
you're
using
mc
or
msi
sdn
yeah,
but
you're.
Looking
for
the
sbi,
that's
superior,
you
know
susie
and
you
know
goody
and
then
also
you
have
some
other
things
related
to
the
pca
or
the
upf
and
the
different
modes
like
idle
and
connected
or
inactive.
D
And
it's
also
a
little
bit.
You
know
how
the
pca
is
actually
deployed
and
the
interaction
from
the
pca
or
the
upf.
You
know
gtpu
and
the
different
pdu
sessions.
You
know
the
formats
and
the
translation,
but
all
this
will
cost
to
you,
some
delays
and
all
these
that
you
I'm
sorry
to
interrupt
you
yep
serving
you
have
to
fulfill
certain
requirements
to
particular
services
and
you'll
be
talking
about
slices,
and
currently
there
are
five
standardized
categories.
E
Yeah,
I
think
I
will
come
to
that
yeah.
I
think
yeah
and.
D
D
C
Okay,
yep.
I
hope
I
have
enough
time,
but
I
will
come
to
that
see.
This
is
the
first
step
all
right,
yep,
okay,
we
continue
so
yep.
We
need
to
do
the
configuration
at
the
radio
sign
after
we
do
the
configuration
at
the
headset
set.
So
let
me
copy
all
of
these
key
information
in
order
to
initiate
the
inode
b
and
the
ue.
C
C
Yep,
this
guy
is
up
and
running
the
first
it'll,
be
an
ue
called
internet
one
one
it's
up
and
running
so
right.
F
C
If
we
go
to
the
mme
window,
let
me
see
yeah
this
one,
mme.
If
we
go
to
the
lock
builder
locks
of
the
mme,
we
see
that
it's
up
and
running,
but
it
hasn't,
has
had
the
connectivity
with
the
the
ue
and
the
enough
b.
Yet
so
what
we
need
to
do.
We
need
to
change
the
ip
address
inside
this
in
odb
here
yeah.
We
need
to
use
that
in
the
config
map
for
this
one
one
one
remember
one
one.
B
We
need
to
click
very
quickly,
but
can
I
make
a
quick
suggestion?
We've
also
deployed
open
5gs
and
you
could
use
kubernetes
services
with
dns,
so
you
do
not
have
to
use
the
hard-coded
cluster
ips.
You
can
let
kubernetes
cloud
natively
manage
those
ips
for
you
and
have
them
connect
by
dns
that
works
okay,
yep
yep!
Thank
you
yeah
it.
It.
C
Yeah,
it
sounds
good
but
yeah
how
about
if
we
have
the
enum
b
or
the
g
note
b,
the
outside
of
the
the
cluster.
We
still
have
to
do
this
manually.
C
B
Oh
sure,
it's
okay!
If
you,
if
you,
if
you
want
to
connect
it
somewhere
externally,
I
thought
you
were
trying
to
connect
the
internal
components
but
yeah
still,
I
would
recommend
using
kubernetes
services.
That's
exactly
what
they're
for
for,
because
the
pods
can
come
and
go
and
the
ip
addresses
can
change
yeah
exactly.
C
C
C
But
if
the
network
functions
or
the
elements
is
is
outside
of
the
kubernetes,
then
normally
we
will
have
to
key
in
the
ip
address
manually,
but
yeah
yeah.
Let's
hope.
If,
if
I
guess
later
on
or
in
in
the
real
life
configuration,
we
can
have
some
kind
of
automation
tools
to
do
that
for
us,
but
yeah
anyway,
for
the
purpose
of
the
demo,
I'm
okay
with
this
right
now.
C
You
can
see
that
the
old
enoby
is
being
terminated
and
at
the
same
time
we
see
the
reaction
from
the
mme.
The
mme
is
is
the
control
plane
elements
interfacing
a
couple
of
other
network
elements,
including
the
genomic,
not
the
inner
b.
So,
let's
see
if
the
enob
is
up
and
running
it
will
it
will
talk
and
it
will
attach
with
the
enemy.
C
Okay,
so
the
enol
b
is
accepted
and
the
ip
address
of
the
enum
b
is
10
42
44
83,
and
this
is
the
one
that
we
just
created:
10
40
to
44
83.
So
this
is
the
one
and
right
now
the
ue.
Then
we
also
ask
the
mme
to
attach-
and
you
see
the
mz-
that
we
we
config
at
the
ssh
ending
with
one
one.
It
just
asks
the
the
mme
for
the
attachment
and
the
mme
top
with
the
set,
and
if
everything
is
okay,
authenticated
and
information
is
matched,
then
it
is
accepted.
C
Google.Com
and
it's
true
so
that's
a
kind
of
very
basic
deployment
of
a
complete
lte
network,
including
epc,
a
cnf
and
inopie
or
the
bts,
and
it
is
okay.
Now
any
questions
so
far
and
and
yeah
anymore
comment.
B
B
I
don't
have
any
you
know
be
connected
quite
yet,
but
my
colleague
jose
here,
I
think,
does
maybe
he
can
share
something
more.
But
otherwise
I
wanted
to
ask
you
if
you
could
introduce
yourself,
we
didn't
get
a
real
sense
of
who
you
are
where
you're
coming
from,
and
what
this,
what
the
context
of
this
work
is
really.
C
It
is
me,
I'm
I'm
I'm
here,
I'm
in
the
telecom,
your
industry.
C
Yeah,
I'm
in
the
telecom
yeah
industry,
I'm
I'm
working
for
the
telecom
bender,
but
I'm
here
as
my
your
personal
interest,
because
you
see
yeah,
I'm
using
yeah
a
lot
of
open
source
software.
So
yep
it's
it's
it's
my
interest
and
I'm
here
with
my
personal
interest.
F
Well,
I
have
a
question
about
the
demo
itself,
so
in
this
case
the
antenna
is
based
on
the
usrp
technology
is.
Is
that
the
case?
F
F
C
Yeah,
you
see,
as
I
said,
the
enough
is
srs
ram
the
same
with
the
ue
sis
is
the
open
source
and
inside
this
one
yeah.
There's
the
emulated
run
hardware
in
order
for
it
to
do
some
kind
of
emulated
inside
yep
in
order
to
reach
to
the
epc.
C
We
can
also
see
the
logs
for
the
ue
and
the
enob
it's
here,
I'm
I'm
not
the
expert
of
the
run.
He
not
be
here,
but
here
is
the
information
inside
the
logs
of
the
inubi,
and
you
can
see
there
there's
some
more
parameters
there,
frequency
or
parameters
or
yep.
C
Okay,
then,
I
will
move
on
to
the
slicing
and
yeah.
If,
if
we
do
the
slicings,
then
we'll
be
more
your
configuration
for
that.
C
C
C
B
F
C
Now
we
go
to
one
get.
C
C
Of
course,
this
is
the
4g
and
it
is
not
as
full
as
the
5g
network
slicing,
but
it
is
one
of
the
simple
view
of
the
network
slicing
in
the
4g
network
in
order
to
differentiate
the
traffic
or
the
type
of
traffic
we
want
in
in
the
real
life.
This
your
parameter
might
be
customized,
depending
on
your
use
case.
It
can
be
iot,
it
can
be
edge,
your
mobile
edge
computing
or
ml
mrlc.
C
Low
latency,
no
urlc,
untry,
reliable
and
low
latency
communication,
or
it
can
be
even
a
I
ml,
industrial
automation
and
so
on,
but
yeah.
I
will
keep
this
default
value
as
it
is
so
the
next
serie
is
is
for
the
h.
We
will
choose
that
in
the
edge
slice
or
dnn.
C
And
the
final
one,
the
four
one-
I
name
it,
your
slimes,
it's
up
to
you
to
spin
up
your
own
type
of
slice
that
your
full
film
your
requirement.
C
C
C
C
C
C
It's
it's
not
kind
of
the
certificate
but
yeah
between
the
hss
and
the
ue.
There's
there's
special
authentication
method.
It's
it's!
It's
used
very
even
more
complex
than
the
certificate,
but
it
is
also
two
ways:
mutual
that
it
will
use
the
mz
in
order
to
authenticate
and
it
it's
it's
quite
complex.
F
And
another
question
related
with
with
the
previous
one:
what
are
you
using
to
manage
certificates
required
for
diameter
protocol
between
the
hss,
the
mme
on
the
pcrs.
C
Good
question:
I
think
it
is
the
internal
yeah
inside
the
open
5gs
I
haven't
checked
if,
if
they
use
that
yet
I
have
an.
B
Answer
yep:
it
uses
a
diameter
internally
and
using
the
free
diameter
project
and
indeed
there
it
uses
tls
standard
tls
certificates
for
authentication
internally.
Okay,.
C
So
that's
the
ue
right
these
yeah,
these
siri
are
config
inside
this,
its
own
special
slice
and
let's
go
to
h
to
see
if
it's
really
connected.
C
So
you
see
it
is
the
ue
2
1
and
it
is
the
side
inside
this
network.
It
is,
it
is
the
same
or
it
is
matched
with
what
we
config
inside
the
s,
the
smf.
C
Okay,
it
could
not
ping
yet
there's
one
more
thing:
we
need
to
do
and
that's
the
nut
right
now.
It
could
not
ping
to
the
outside
yet
because
at
the
upf
we
need
to
do
the
nut
from
the
upf
to
the
outside
world.
For
these
new,
slides
or
apn
that
we
added
before
so,
we
need
to
add
all
of
these
for
the
new
network
or
apn
into
the
upf.
C
C
And
now
it's
up
and
the
ping
is
true
so
yeah.
It
is
the
kind
of
very
a
basic
configuration
for
the
network
slicings
in
4g.
I
think
it
it's
a
bit
you're
complicated
for
the
telecom
network,
but
it
is
trust
you
to
show
that
the
slicing
configuration
the
advanced
configuration
yeah.
How
is
it
handled
in
the
kubernetes,
a
native
plan,
plant
infrastructure.
D
C
Now
this
is
yeah,
it
is
only
for
the
ue
to
be
connected
to
the
upf
and
then
from
the
upf
to
the
outside
world.
We
don't
have
any
application,
a
server
here
for
the
iot,
nor
for
the
edge
or
for
forum
yeah
for
any
other
slides
network.
Yet
it
is
just
if
it
is
through
to
the
internet.
Then
it
is.
It
is
yeah
up
to
the
application
of
the
use
case.
D
C
C
C
A
I'm
sorry
are
the
the
it
looks
like
you
have
additional
interfaces.
A
C
C
Telecom,
your
protocol,
yep
it
it
it
will
be
handled
by
the
telecom
network.
A
C
C
If,
if
we
create
a
new
enob,
there
will
be
no
a
time
interface,
but
only
if
it
is
attached
with
the
epc
and
with
the
right
network,
with
the
right
mnc
mobile
country
code
and
mobile
network
code,
and
once
after
it
is
authenticated
by
the
hsn,
that
would
be
a
sent
to
the
smf
and
the
upf
and
those
guys
will
be
responsible
for
assigning
network
interface
for
this
ue.
As
long
as
they
are
I'm
configured
at
the
history's
end.
A
C
C
Yep
I
see
that
yeah
yeah
there's
some
comment
or
from
the
chart
about
the
new
repository,
that's
shared
by
the
red
hat
team
right
yeah.
I
think
it's
it's
it's
good
that
we
can
have
that
and
we
can
also
check,
especially
in
the
end
to
end
environment
or
context.
Then
I'm
I'm
glad,
and
I
will
try
that
yep.
Thank
you
for
that.
A
C
A
Does
someone
want
to?
Does
anyone
have
any
other?
I
guess
final
comments
and
then,
like
the
this
red
hat,
posted
kind,
kates
from
jose
or
tal,
do
y'all
want
to
put
something
on
the
agenda
for
next
month
we
were
actually
just
discussing
among.
B
Ourselves,
we
might
have
something
something
also
to
demonstrate
it.
It
could
be
similar
to
this,
but
different.
We
we,
the
definition
of
end
to
end
is,
is
might
be
different
for
us
I'll.
Just
quickly
mention
you
know
we're
all
using
upstream
projects
open
5gs
if
anybody's
more
interested
in
how
this
all
works
as
a
5g
core,
or
it
also
supports
4g
core
sorry,
4g
eps.
D
Tal,
would
you
show
anything
on
the
scp
service
communication
proxy
for
the
inter
upf
on
n9
using
scpp?
Also
anything
you
know
for
the
service
session
continuity
mode,
one
two
three
into
depending
on
the
up
selection
and
reselection,
depending
on
the
location
of
the
upf.
B
B
I
don't
know
if
you
know,
but
http
is
kind
of
a
new
thing
in
kubernetes.
It's
just
recently
gotten
support.
However,
it's
up
to
your
containers
to
really
do
it.
The
problem
is
that
open
5gs
uses
a
few
different
upstream
open
source
libraries
and
some
of
them
use
kernel
mode
sctp,
some
of
them
allow
user
mode
sctp.
B
There
are
a
lot
of
challenges
in
running
kernel
mode
sctp
in
kubernetes.
So
what
what
ends
up
happening
is
that
we've
actually,
instead
of
sctp
I've
been
playing
around
with
using
just
tcp
instead,
which
is
a
plain
tcp,
which
is
what
open
5gs
supports.
So
I
I
personally
don't
have
complete
open,
sctp
running.
Oh,
what
about
you
jose?
Have
you
managed
to
get
it.
