Hi and welcome back to another edition of last week in a bite, your latest news and events for all things: Delta Lake, my name is Will gertin and I'll, be your host for today, I'm filling in for Denny Lee.

This week we kicked this year's Pi data conference off of the bang celebrating with a pre-conference Meetup party in the databricks Bellevue office, Chang and hoop Jing from databricks presented, spark connect the power of Apache Spark from everywhere Lou key and Jasmine Wang from alexio also presented speeding up cloud storage data, access for AI training and I even heard they conclude things with a raffle and a pie party I'm, not missing next year's event.

We held two really great sessions at this year's Pi data conference in Seattle Washington, the first one ml Ops deployment patterns with Delta, Lake and mlflow, presented by Mary, Grace mesta, and building open and reliable lake houses with Delta Lake by Jim, Hibbard and I'm also really excited to talk about this past week's Publications vasilius anagnostopoulos, published an excellent article on medium called, manipulating Delta, like tables with Min, IO and trino, also published on medium, is building an open data.

Lake house will spark Delta and trino by yifing Zhang and if you head over to the Delta, I o website blog Robert cassandi details how claims Force unify their data Lake and data warehouse using Delta Lake and my personal favorite topic of all performance.
