From YouTube: DSpace 6 REST Report Tools Overview
Description
This video is an introductory video for the following tutorial.
https://github.com/terrywbrady/restReportTutorial/blob/master/README.md
A
The
purpose
of
this
video
is
to
demonstrate
the
features
of
the
rest
based
quality
control
tools
introduced
to
D
space
in
D
space
6.
So
the
first
tool
that
I'm
going
to
show
you
is
the
query
tool.
This
tool
enables
you
to
construct
queries
across
different
metadata
fields
using
a
number
of
different
operators.
A
We
also
have
a
collection
of
predefined
queries
that
are
already
defined
within
the
system,
so
in
this
first
example,
I
have
a
particular
collection
that
I
want
to
query
and
I
want
to
look
for
all
items
in
which
we
have
a
compound
field
in
dc:creator,
meaning
to
creators
have
been
separated
by
the
word,
and
so,
when
I
run
this
query,
you'll
see
the
two
items
are
returned.
If
I
add
an
additional
field
into
my
output
report,
we
can
actually
see
the
Creator
field
here.
A
You'll
see
Brady
Terry
and
lastname
firstname
and
person
1
and
person
2.
Ideally,
I
would
like
for
these
items
to
have
each
creator
separated
into
its
own
metadata
field,
using
an
extension
that's
available
in
this
version
of
the
reporting
tool,
I'm
going
to
use
Google
sheets
to
edit
in
my
metadata.
A
I'm
then
going
to
download
this
Google
sheet
as
a
CSV
file,
I'm
going
to
then
go
into
D
space
I'm,
going
to
select
the
option
to
import
metadata
I'm
going
to
choose
a
file
I'm
going
to
select
the
file
that
we
just
modified
I
will
say
upload,
CSV
and
you'll
notice
here
that
the
report
tool
is
then
to
remove
the
prior
field
and
create
to
individual
creator
fields.
So
the
in
this
example,
the
report
tool
became
a
simple
way
to
construct
bulk
metadata
update
input
file.
A
Another
example
using
a
predefined
query,
is
using
an
extension
in
our
version
of
the
reporting
tools.
I
want
to
find
all
audio
files
that
reference
our
streaming
media
service,
so
here
I'm
looking
for
all
items
where
the
there's
a
DC
relation
URI
that
matches
a
particular
URL
format
and
where
we
have
a
DC
type
of
audio
I'm.
Going
to
query
my
entire
repository
as
results
are
returned.
A
What
I
would
like
to
do
is
I
want
to
look
at
the
DC
relation
URI
I
want
to
look
at
the
type
field
and
I
also
want
to
look
at
the
subject
field.
So
I'm
going
to
run
my
query
here,
you'll
see
a
number
of
items
are
returned
if
I
click
into
one
of
these
items,
you'll
see
we
open
it
up
the
item
and
we
have
our
audio
player
configured
to
play
the
audio.
This
is
an
interview.
A
The
next
thing
that
I
would
like
to
do
is
I
want
to
filter
the
results
to
find
not
only
items
with
a
link
out
to
our
audio
streaming
service,
but
I
would
like
to
filter
for
items
that
also
contain
an
original
bit
stream,
which
would
typically
contain
a
transcript
of
the
audio
file.
So
I'm
going
to
run
my
query,
and
here
you'll
see
that
there
were
15
results
and
11
filtered
items
have
been
generated.
A
A
A
The
next
tool
that
I'd
like
to
demonstrate
to
you
is
the
collection
report
tool.
This
report
provides
a
holistic
overview
of
the
items
within
your
collections
and
it
allows
you
to
set
a
group
of
filters
to
look
for
interesting
use
cases
within
your
collections.
So
initially,
when
the
report
loads,
it
returns
all
of
the
collections
and
communities
along
with
an
item
count
for
each
collection.
If
you
click
within
a
particular
field,
it
will
then
provide
you
with
a
list
of
the
items
within
that
collection
using
the
filters.
A
We're
able
to
look
for
some
interesting
use
cases,
so
here
I
want
to
look
for
items
with
no
original
bitstreams
items
with
one
original
bit
stream
and
items
with
multiple
original
bit
streams.
When,
if
I
click
show
collections,
you'll
then
see
that
the
table
is
populated
with
additional
columns
and
we'll
give
that
report
a
moment
load.
A
All
right
so
now
our
our
table
has
loaded
and
let's
say
I
would
like
to
look
for
particular
instances
of
collections
with
multiple
original
bitstream,
so
I'm
going
to
click
into
this
legal
dictionaries.
Collection
I
can
then
click
into
a
particular
item
and
you'll
see
that
this
item
has
multiple
original
bitstreams
attached
to
it.
A
A
So
one
correction
I
need
to
make
is
I
need
to
eliminate
the
filter
looking
for
items
with
no
original
bit
streams,
so
I'm
going
to
remove
that
filter,
update
the
report,
and
so
now
what
we
want
to
look
for
are
items
that
contain
both
document
type
bitstream
and
an
image
type
bitstream
and
I'm
going
to
let
that
report
complete
I'm,
going
to
filter
here
and
so
here.
I
found
actually
want
to
look
for
cases
where
both
items
are
true.
A
You'll
see
because
we're
applying
filters
we
may
need
to
page
through
the
results
to
get
all
of
the
filtered
items
returned.
The
query
returns
a
page
of
results
and
then
the
filters
are
applied
across
that
page
of
results.
So
I'm
going
to
look
at
this
particular
item
and
you'll
see.
This
item
has
a
long
description.
It
has
multiple
bit
streams,
some
of
which
are
PDF
files,
some
of
which
are
JPEG
files,
as
was
the
case
with
the
query
tool.
A
We
have
the
ability
to
augment
our
item
results
by
pulling
in
particular
fields
such
as
the
sub,
such
as
subject
terms
and
pull
out
bit
stream
information
and
update
the
report.
So
here
now
we're
we
have
applied
a
set
of
filters.
We
have
then
augmented
with
additional
item
metadata
and
augmented
with
bit
stream
metadata.
