DXdao was launched in 2019 on Ethereum mainnet. This DAO is focused on developing, growing, and governing DeFi products and protocols. Their native token, DXD, gives their holders a claim to DXdao’s revenue, as well as discounts and premium access to certain features.

In this video, WACEO explains the potential issues this DAO may face, including the risk of violating tax law, and potential non-compliance to EU GDPR regulations. DXdao’s classification as a partnership may lead to liability risks in the future, and they may also face potential issues with the upcoming EU MiCA regulations.

WACEO is a non-profit organization tasked with helping blockchain organizations be legally compliant in the ever-changing regulatory landscape.

Additionally, they help Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) with any business-related service they might need (legal work, accounting services, business planning, etc) by connecting them with their WACEO Service Providers.

Today BlockchainBrad speaks exclusively with two dxDAO members about the sovereign collective the growing team is building. Why? Well, they are decentralizing DeFi. The DXdao is a decentralized organization started just over a year ago and has over 400 unique stakeholder addresses and built with DXD at its core. It develops, governs, and grows DeFi protocols and products, including some recently announced. Owned and operated by the community, the DXdao has the potential to significantly scale its membership & is makings some real headway atm. Thanks to both Ingamar Ramirez & John Kelleher for doing this detailed interview.

DXD powers the Decentralised Ecosystem
The DXD token is DXdao´s native token. DXD token holders have an economic claim to the DXdao´s revenue. It also grants its owners future access to a suite of services and premium features in decentralised applications, such as gasless transactions, feeless anonymizing of assets, reduced trading fees on DEX protocols and more.

About Token Engineering:
The decentral nature of blockchain systems allows to rigiously rethink how the web economy works in the future. Economic incentives, tokens, reward value contribution and ensure a cryptoeconomic network to operate smoothly and thrive over time.

Creating such incentive-based tokenized ecosystems is hard.
How do we define the network objectives? How do we manifest that intent with token rewards and other crypto building blocks? How do we simulate and validate the design? How do we anticipate attacks and respond to them? How do we update the protocols? Given that these systems are wildly powerful, how can we better take responsibility for their design and deployment?
Token ecosystem design is becoming a new engineering discipline: Token Engineering. This implies a body of theory, practice, tools and a sense of responsibility. We aim to do this collectively as a community in a decentralized, permissionless, open-source fashion that all can contribute to and all can use.

The concept of DAOs has been captivating to many in the crypto space for years. When “The DAO” was created in 2016, in the few weeks of its existence and despite obvious flaws, it gather tremendous momentum and amassed 14% of the entire ether supply. Since then the technology has matured and Martin and Matan argue that the time for DAOs has finally arrived.

We were joined by DAOstack Founder Matan Field and Gnosis Founder Martin Köppelmann. We talked about the decentralized exchange protocol DutchX. We also talked about how the two projects together created the dxDAO, which will manage the DutchX protocol, but could go onto its own path. A path that could even lead to being the DAO for all of DeFi.

Topics discussed in this episode:
- The unifying vision behind the various Gnosis projects
- Why Gnosis decided to build decentralized exchange protocol DutchX
- DutchX's usage of batch auctions to provide good prices and liquidity for any market
- Incentivizing market makers with the Magnolia token
- Why the DutchX needs a DAO
- The role of Reputation in the dxDAO
- How Reputation will be distributed
- Why DAOs unlike companies could become more efficient as they grow
- How the dxDAO could become the biggest organization on earth in the next 10 years
- How one can get involved in the dxDAO
