really
wonderful
design.
It's
a
bionic
design
that
that
uses
muscle,
contractions
and
and
research
of
how
muscles
work
to
to
work.
So
maybe
I
can
pass
it
along
to
you
janna
and
you
can
share
with
us
a
little
bit
more
about
your
project
and
again,
let's
maybe
wait
a
few
more
minutes
until
people
arrive.

How
I
planned
it
and
made
then
show
some
of
the
electronic
components
I
used
and
the
process
of
building
the
three
programs
I
made
and
I'll
then
explain.
The
final
product
you'll
be
able
to
see
it
and
also
the
budget,
which
I
think
is
quite
important
and
finally,
some
improvements
because
it's
far
from
finished.

So
this
is
a
design
all
these
holes
are
for
four
servo
motors
which
allow
the
movements
of
the
fingers.
So
the
joint
movements
and
I
use
the
program
on
shape
for
the
design,
which
is
open,
source
and
gt2
box
64,
to
prepare
all
the
pieces
for
before
printing
there's,
nothing,
nothing
much
else
to
say
there
are
the
the
fingers
just
flex
and
extend
and
then
there's
this
special
movement
for
the
thumb
which
also
flexes
and
extenders,
and
this
is
the
compartment
of
the
raspberry
pi,
so
the
cpu.

So
an
adc
board
is
an
analog
to
digital
converter.
So
I
needed
this
because
the
sensor
outputs,
an
analog
signal,
but
the
raspberry
pi
just
reads
digital
signals.
So
probably
an
improvement
would
be
to
change
the
raspberry
pi
to
another
board
that
reads
directly.
The
output
of
the
sensor
and
the
assembly
was
quite
easy.
I
just
as
I
said
I
used
to
box
to
prepare
the
design.

Also
I
made
into
a
programming,
I
made
three
different
programs.
The
first
two
ones
were
more
like
tests
to
that
ask
the
user
for
input,
so
the
person
asks
for
a
signal.
So
if
the,
if
the
hand
has
received
the
signal
and
then
the
second
one
is
to
flex
or
extend
the
fingers
or
the
joints,
and
finally
I
made
the
last
one
which
uses
directly
the
emg
sensor.

All
the
flexion
of
your
fingers,
so
this
is
the
budget
in
total.
It
was
about
167,
although
I
made
it
in
euros.
So
this
is
approximately
what
what
it
would
be
in
dollars
and,
as
you
can
see,
most
of
the
price
was
spent
in
the
electronic
components,
because
both
the
raspberry
pi
and
the
emg
sensor
are
quite
expensive.

Yeah
it
was
quite
expensive,
but
since
I
knew
I
would
be
using
it
for
other
projects,
I
thought
it
was
a
good
investment
yeah
and
then,
since
all
the
pieces
were
empty,
so
there
was
a
resin
inside
the
price
of
the
resin
was
quite
good,
it's
quite
it's
very
affordable
and
the
assembly
materials
are
screws
and
everything
that
was
needed
to
weld
everything
which
it's
not.

project.

it
was

was
challenging
was
convincing
the
teachers
that
I
wanted
to
do
this,

most
of
them
were

with
a
professor
of
a
college
here,
and
they
told
me
that
I
wouldn't

the

more
like
I
had
to

pieces

I
had

the
perfect
one.

pandemic,

students

the

program
called
erasmus,
where
college
students
can
study
in
different
parts
of
europe.

think
you'd
like

have

exciting
stuff
going
on
related
to
the
work

you're
doing
with
this

some

research

germany
related
to
animal
prosthetics.

the
specific
population
you'd

work

One
of
the
conversations
that
we've
had
in
recent
meetings
is
thinking
about
device
development,
with
specific
input
or
feedback
from
device
users
and
developing
those
projects
together,
but
there's
a
big
difference
between
prosthetics
for
children
and
adults,
people
that
are
born
with
a
limb
difference
and
people
that
that
have
some
sort
of
an
accident
and
lose
a
limb
and
then
have
all
this.

really
just
a
wonderful
summary

you

lot
of
the
factors
in

bone
structure,

at

you
spent
a
lot

involved

really
wonderful,

for
other

activities
related

process

you

through
that

replicated

schools

be
doing

pathway
