From YouTube: e-NABLE SPC Meeting, October 30, 2020
Description
This is a recording of the e-NABLE Strategic Planning Committee meeting for Friday, October 30, 2020.
The notes/agenda document can be found here: https://bit.ly/3mGKzvv
A
Okay,
good
morning
folks,
john
you're
handling
notes.
It
looks
like
yes,
sir
okay,
so
a
quick
review
of
action
items
here.
First
one
was
for
nate
he's
not
here,
but
I
think
I
saw
an
email
about
this
right,
john,
about
talking
to
sean
at
skills
for
life.
I
don't
think
so.
Oh
okay,
maybe
it
was
something
else
under
that
email
thread
we'll
have
to
get
an
update
from
who
joins
us?
Okay,
next
one
bob!
Any
luck!
Finding
a
candidate
for
our
ewc
video.
B
A
Okay,
all
right
all
right,
so
the
next
several
are
for
me.
I
was
tasked
with
setting
up
google
ads
for
enable
which
we
did
manage
to
get
going.
We
had
to
do
a
lot
of
back
and
forth
with
google,
but
our
account
is
now
set
up
and
I've
created
the
first
ad.
It's
it's
working,
it's
not
working
the
way
I
want
it
to
yet.
We've
had
in
the
last.
Let's
see
several
days
here,
we're
getting.
A
C
A
To
get
on
with
probably
some
kind
of
a
live
chat
with
with
a
google
ad
specialist
to
get
this
sorted
out
so
it's
running,
but
I
need
to
do
some
some
work
on
optimizing
it
to
get
it
to
show
up
better.
So
it's
a
work
in
progress.
A
Well,
that's
the
problem.
Right
now
I
mean
it's:
it's
it's
not
really
showing
up.
At
least
I
can't
get
it
to
show
up,
although
I
can
see
that
it
is
showing
up
for
some
people,
but
they
don't
make
it
easy
to
to
actually
get
to,
and
you
know
test
it,
let's
see
measurement.
A
Where
is
your
ad
preview
and
diagnosis?
Let
me
just
do
a
quick
check
here.
3D
printed
and
your
ad
is
not
showing
yeah
so
with
this
particular
keyword
that
I
just
tested.
It
says
it's
not
showing,
and
it
gives
me
a
whole
range
of
the
keywords
that
it
matched
on
and
it
says
things
like
your
ad
is
probably
being
shown
at
times,
but
was
not
shown
for
this
particular
diagnosis.
A
And
then
it
says
this
keyword
is
not
triggering
ads
to
appear
on
google
right
now,
due
to
a
low
ad
rank.
Ads
are
ranked
based
on
your
bid
and
quality
score,
so
they
give
these
very
vague
explanations,
so
I'm
going
to
have
to
reach
out
to
them
and
get
somebody
to
dig
into
why
it's
not
showing
up
more
effectively.
A
So,
let's
see
that's
not
review
hold
on,
how
do
we
get?
Oh,
I
have
to
go
into
the
ad
itself
hold
on
campaigns.
A
It's
a
start,
and
we
can
add
as
many
more
of
these
as
we
want
it's
a
little
weird
how
they
have
this
set
up.
I
don't
see
any
indication
of
I
think
at
some
point.
A
You
mentioned
something
like
a
ten
thousand
dollar
grant,
but
I
don't
see
any
indication
of
a
limit
here
when
I
look
under
the
billing
section
of
our
ad
account,
it
just
says
not
build
so
I
don't
know
if
we
have
like
an
unlimited
account
or
what,
but
we
can
go
ahead
and
you
know
we
can
create
as
many
ads
as
we
need,
and
you
know
I'm
just
going
to
start
with
this
one
try
to
get
it
working
right
and
then
we
can
move
on
from
there.
So
that's
where
that's
at
so
work
in
progress.
A
Let's
see
the
next
one
is
for
me
to
look
at
whether
we
might
be
able
to
use
quickbooks
online
to
handle
the
enable
fund
and
I've
not
gotten
to
that.
Yet
so
I'll
try
to
look
at
that
this
week
and
then
I've
also.
I
also
had
an
action
time
to
update
our
spc
member
bios
on
the
hub.
I
did
get
an
update
from
bob
and
john.
Thank
you
guys.
I.
B
A
A
Nope
yeah
all
right
so
anyway,
we've
got
bios
updated
for
john
and
bob,
but
I
need
everyone
else,
maria.
If
you
have
a
chance,
please
reply
to
my
email.
Let
me
know
if
you
want
any
updates
to
your
bio
and
photo
on
our
spc
members
page
and
still
waiting
to
hear
from
others.
B
B
A
C
I
in
in
a
way
it
is
it
I,
I
went
through
a
very
labor-intensive
process
to
have
the
enable
fund
to
its
current
degree
of
accountability.
C
A
A
Well,
let
me
look
into
the
the
platform
and
see
if
I
can
figure
out
a
way
to
get
us
into
quickbooks.
If
I
can,
it
might
be
easiest
to
work
towards
getting
things
set
up
and
and
kind
of
do
a
go
live
on
the
first
of
the
year,
so
we
can
just
kind
of
start
fresh
instead
of
trying
to
bring
it
out
of
history
since
we're
coming
up
on
a
new
year
anyway,.
C
A
C
C
A
C
B
A
If
you
want
to
get
me
access
I'll,
take
a
look
and
we'll
see
what
we
can
do,
we'll
do.
Okay,
all
right,
moving
on
still
no
safe,
so
maybe
we're
not
going
to
have
a
presentation
today.
I
I
wasn't
really
prepared
in
terms
of
the
agenda,
but
we'll
see
what
we
have
here
to
to
go
through.
We've
got
the
metrics
on
the
next
page
I'll.
Let
you
guys
review
those
for
yourselves,
not
a
whole
lot.
That
stands
out
as
unique
this
week.
A
We've
got
all
of
our
charts
that
have
been
updated
for
activity
levels
and
and
we
can
move
on
down
to
our
our
agenda,
which,
as
you
can
see,
I've
got
a
placeholder
in
there
for
safe
presentations,
so
we'll
skip
that
for
now.
C
A
A
B
Quick
question
are
safe
and
rodrigo
related.
They
are.
C
A
B
C
A
All
right,
so
we
don't
have
any
kind
of
lumio
discussions
going
on
right
now.
The
chapter
wishbone
project
was
approved,
ben
and
terry
and
john
are
meeting
monday.
Okay,.
A
All
right,
I
guess,
on
we
go
ewc.
We've
talked
about
several
several
changes
there.
The
new
home
page
is
up
and
running.
I
have
to
make
a
couple
of
fixes
to
it,
but
it
is
out
there
we
talked
about
having
that
accessible
without
login.
That's
something
I
also
have
to
discuss
with
the
team
have
not
yet-
and
we
talked
about
adding
some
icons
in
there
to
give
it
a
little
bit
more
visual
flair.
A
So
those
things
are
are
still
in
the
works,
but
but
the
page
is
up,
hopefully
that'll
make
it
a
little
easier
to
use.
A
We
have
been
talking
about
this
long-term
concern
that
bob
brought
up
in
terms
of
an
imbalance
between
our
production
capabilities
and
demand
for
devices.
I
think
getting
our
google
ads
going
and
functioning
well
will
be
a
good
step
towards
addressing
that.
That's
all
those
ads
are
designed
are
targeting
people
that
are
maybe
seeking
devices
primarily
as
opposed
to
seeking
volunteers.
So
hopefully
that'll
bring
people
into
the
mix
to
request
devices
now.
A
Currently,
I
have
those
ads
set
up
to
to
point
people
to
enablingthefuture.org,
because
I
think
that
gives
the
best
kind
of
overview
of
what
we're
about,
and
you
know
as
soon
as
they
go.
You
know
on
that
home
page.
There's,
a
link
to
you
know,
get
a
hand,
so
that'll
take
them
to
where
they
need
to
go.
I
just
felt
like
if
we
had
the
ad,
if
they
click
on
the
ad
and
it
takes
them
straight
to
enable
web
central,
I
kind
of
felt
like
people
might
get
lost.
A
B
I
have
not
drafted
language,
for
you
is
that
something
that's
needed
right
now
or
do
we
just
kind
of
hold
on?
I
don't
remember.
B
C
A
A
A
Yeah,
no,
it
looks
good.
Thank
you.
Okay,
let's
see
I
I
don't.
I
removed
enable
khan
from
the
agenda
since
that's
completed,
but
since
we
have
maria
here,
did
you
have
any
updates
regarding
that
or
anything
else
for
us,
maria.
D
Yeah
there
was
another
call
coming
in
at
the
same
time
as
luck
would
have
it
just
that.
There's
a
lot
of
there's
a
lot
of
good
activity.
People
are
taking
action
and-
and
that's
terrific
so
at
any
rate,
we're
looking
forward
to
seeing
some
outcomes
for
that
and
and
hopefully
having
some
incentives
for
them
or
support
for
them
so
good.
But
thank
you
all
for
participating
of.
A
We're
there's
been
a
bunch
of
discussion
in
the
group
that
we
have
going
working
on
ppe
and
we're
especially
interested
in
getting
the
recording
from
the
fda
presentation.
There's
some
things
in
there
that
we
want
to
review
together.
D
Great,
thank
you
yeah.
I
know
that
the
the
masks
were
priority.
Skip
head
had
escalated
that
and
then
there's
been
some
other
things
as
well.
So
thank
you.
A
Yeah,
it's
nicely
done
the
enable
calendar.
We
talked
about
the
fact
that
that's
just
a
little
underused-
I
did
add
something
to
that
calendar
over
this
past
week,
just
as
an
fyi
we've
got
matt
botel
confirmed
for
episode,
six
of
our
3d
universe,
untethered
series,
so
we're
going
to
spend
an
hour
chatting
with
matt
about
the
kinetic
hand
and
how
he
got
to
where
he
is
and
should
be
a
really
good
discussion.
So
I've
got
that
up
on
the
calendar
and
the
hub
people
can
register
for
that.
C
A
Weeks
away
anyway,
okay,
I
don't
know
anything
else
to
talk
about
with
the
calendar.
I
don't
have
anything
else
to
put
on
it
right
now.
A
It's
not
okay.
We've
talked
about
starter
kits
for
schools.
I
don't
really
have
anything
to
report
at
this
time.
To
be
honest,
I
haven't
done
anything
with
it.
I'm
going
to
have
to
regroup
with
with
alina
and
work
on
some
sourcing
of
components
and
kind
of
figure
out
what
it
would
take
to
put
these
together.
It's
it's
always
a
little
intimidating
to
approach
a
new
kit
like
this
there's
there's
more
work
than
you
would
think
that
goes
into
putting
these
together.
A
Exactly
literally
often,
yes,
3d
printer
donations,
I
think
we're
going
to
try
to
fold
this
into
the
new
wishbone
project
once
you
guys
have
that
meeting.
So
let
me
know
when
that's
ready.
We
can
talk
about
getting
a
couple
of
printers
posted
as
available
or,
however,
we
want
to
work
that
enable
education
initiatives.
I
would
normally
ask
ben
if
there's
any
updates
here,
but
he's
not
with
us.
I
don't
know
if
you
guys
know
of
anything.
Have
you
heard
anything
going
on
here.
C
No,
I
see
that
lindsay
has
a
presentation
coming
up
at
nicegate.
She
did
do
a
presentation
at
iste.
I
don't
think
either
of
those
made
it
onto
our
calendar,
but
I
will
try
to
get
the
nice
gate
on
the
calendar.
That's
an
event
here
in
rochester.
I
think
I
may
even
be
part
of
it,
but
I
don't
think
so.
I
think
it's
been
in
london.
I
was
just
asked
about
possibly
participating
in
a
science
art
education
conference
in
banff
in
october,
2020.
C
Two
anyway,
and
I
thought
I
would
suggest
that
they
have
both
lindsay
and
me
and
I'll,
be
following
up
on
that.
A
Nice
yeah,
please
do
put
that
on
the
calendar.
I
put
that
down
as
an
action
item
for
you.
It
would
be
good
to
get
these
these
events
in
there
yep.
I
love
how,
when
you're
in
the
hub
it
it
it
comes
up
in
the
right
hand,
toolbar
saying
you
know
upcoming
events,
so
you
get
a
you,
get
a
notice
of
of
anything
coming
up.
C
As
a
matter
of
fact,
spc
meetings
should
show
up
there
on
a
recurring
basis.
A
A
Okay,
yeah
I'll
do
that
cool
other
partnerships
and
fundraising,
I
don't
know
I've
seen
some
back
and
forth
between
you
bob
and
the
howard
abbey
milstein
folks.
That
seems
to
be
going
fine.
C
A
B
A
I
think
maria,
I
think
it
was
you
that
mentioned
that
you're
talking
about
doing
a
day
of
giving
on
december
17th.
Is
there
any
further
planning
or
thoughts
on
on.
D
That,
yes,
yeah
we're
we're
setting
up
a
campaign
page
and
we
were
starting
to
outline
some
of
the
very
we're
trying
to
find
sponsors
for
various
sections
of
the
day
as
incentives.
So
that's
about
where
we
are
at
the
moment.
A
D
So
we've
been
gathering
photos
and
we're
going
to
reuse,
probably
the
some
of
the
ad
campaign
we
used
last
year.
A
D
Day
of
giving
is
a
fundraising
campaign,
and
then
the
december
the
17th
is
is,
is
both
fundraising
and
and
and
programming.
Okay,.
A
For
the
campaign
for
the
campaign
page
that
you're
setting
up
is
that
I
I
assume
that
that's
an
enable
alliance
program,
so
your
the
funds
would
be
going
towards
enable
alliance.
D
Yes-
and
it
lets
the
other
chapters
to
highlight
what
they're
doing
and
create
their
own
page
so
that
they
can,
they
can
ask
for
funds
to
be
directed
specifically
to
them.
Okay,.
C
D
A
We'll
get
back
on
the
agenda
for
another
week.
I
guess,
unfortunately,
because
I
was
expecting
a
presentation
today.
I
didn't
really
have
enough
on
the
agenda
so
we're
at
the
end
of
our
agenda
already
at
10
30.
B
Can
I
raise
one
new,
I
was
hoping
you
would
yes
it
it,
and
it's
the
the
issue
with
maria
on
on
here.
It's
the
issue
of
shipping.
I
just
sent
a
test
pond
that
I
quick
and
dirty
printed
to
toronto,
canada
to
a
recipient
to
check
on
sizing,
because
it's
a
difficult
case
to
try
to
measure.
So
I
printed
up
what
I
thought
was
a
good
size
and
I
shipped
it
off
to
them
and
it
was
45
to
ship
from
providence,
rhode,
island
area
to
toronto,
canada
by
fedex.
B
D
It
is
correct
and
the
we
had
been
using
as
our
main
hub
for
that,
the
living
classroom
at
city
polytechnic,
which
just
started
class
on
tuesday,
so
which
I
should
be
able
to
give
you
more
information
now,
so
that
we're
able
to
coordinate
with
that.
Well.
B
D
No,
there
are
tears
what's
hard
with
the
background
noise
here.
Sorry,
so
there
are
tiers
of
of
discount
the
optimally
you're
able
to
identify
the
shipping
from
a
a
recognized,
51c3
or
government
recognized
nonprofit
going
to
the
portal
of
another
one.
D
Ballpark,
so
if
I
recall
correctly
that
the
maximum
for
us
with
our
main
distribution
hub,
is
75
percent,
but
that
is
that,
but
that
is
also
if-
and
there
are
some
other
caveats
in
that,
for
instance,
if
I'm
shipping
to
a
country
that
we
don't
have
relations
with,
then
then
all
deals
are
because
they
have.
We
have
to
use
a
third
party
because
of
embargo.
B
Do
maria
is
there
a
printed
document
like
a
like
a
contract
or
a
or
an
explanation
of
the
program
that
you
could
send
us.
D
A
B
I
will
say
that,
just
in
personal
experience,
I've
sent
arms,
to
course
kenya,
I've
sent
them
to
japan,
south
africa,
canada,
shipping
is
outrageous
and
I
think
a
stopper
for
a
lot
of
people.
B
C
The
fact
that
it's
on
your
personal
account
and
the
fact
that
it's
through
suny
poly
are
both
real
impediments,
because
both
of
the
parties
just
named
are
hard
to
reach.
What
can
we
do
to
make
this
a
utility
more
easily.
D
Available
sounds
like
you
asked:
what
can
you
do
so?
The
the
the
point
of
having
suny
poly
as
a
as
a
distribution
hub
was
to
have
a
designate,
and
so
I
I
think
this
is
a
conversation.
We
have
offline
to
figure
out
a
smooth
way
for
people
to
be
able
to
access
the
benefit.
C
All
right,
I'm
sending
you
an
email
right
now
saying
propose
a
few
concrete
meeting
times.
Your
schedule
is
much
tighter
than
mine.
A
Right
right,
maria
is
asking
if
john
is
muted,
no
john
is
not
muted.
C
A
B
A
However,
are
muted
maria
so
once
again
we're
at
the
end
of
our
agenda
so
now's
your
chance.
If
anyone
has
anything
that
you've
been
wanting
to
talk
about
lately,
otherwise
we'll
just
call
it
a
short
meeting.
A
Okay,
well,
I
will.
I
will
do
as
john
suggested
I'll
add
these
spc
meetings
to
the
enable
hub
calendar,
so
people
will
see
them
and
maybe
watch
people
that
choose
to
hop
in
and
join
us.
We'll
see
great
okay,
good.
