Fuel and poor shortages are so severe now that in some places in lebanon, there is no more than one hour of electricity per day, one hour of electricity per day in lebanon, no bread, no water, no hospitals, shelves empty shelves in the pharmacies and in the stores, and now I am. I am happy that the announcement of last friday that the president owen and prime minister mikati has signed a degree to form a new government is a good news and in this principle, step in the right direction.
We are encouraging prime minister mkhitaryan to resume negotiation with imf. The only way to avoid a financial collapse. We are standing ready to continue assisting further if the new government gets critical measures and reforms underway. I hope that this new government will confirm this endeavor and certainly with a very successful prime minister mikati.
But this is also a good moment for the parliament to express to address to the new lebanon authorities our commitment to support, but also our requirement for them to act, because the lebanon problems can only be solved by the lebanese people and by the lebanese government. I bet the lebanese political classes, which has been for many many times too much time, not fulfilling their commitments with their population.
