network

software
moving
forward

it
owns
itself

the
eosio
software,
which
was
developed
by
block
one,
which
has
been
since
ejected
from
the
community
so
real
quickly.

as
many
of
you
will
know,
representatives
of
many
blockchains
that
are
built
on
the
eosio
software,
which
is
now
called
antelope,
came
together
earlier
in
the
year,
formed
a
coalition
to
better
manage
the
software
that
they
all
use,
and
so,
with
the
consensus
of
their
respective
chains,
the
new
coalition
funded
the
development
of
network
upgrades
and
long
requested
features
through
collaboration
and
strategic
investment.
So
the
leap
version
3.1
upgrade
that
we're
talking
about
for
next
week.

incorporates
these
upgrades
into
the
first
independently
controlled
release
of
eos
this
core
software,
and
this
represents
a
rapid
acceleration
in
core
development
on
eons.

it's
a
pretty

a

big
deal.
There's
actually

meetings

block
producers,
app
developers,
note
operators,
and
basically
anyone
interested
in
this
process
can
attend
to
know.
What's
going
on
to
be
ready

next

upgrade

this

are
now
happening
daily.

a

producers
are
gathering
on

paying
the
miners

subsidizing

electricity
costs,
and

they
need
to
turn
a
profit

top

it's
downward
pressure,
so
just
speculating
the
main
difference
will
be
in
a
power

gonna
be
interesting.

to
kind

see,

mean
it'll
be
hard
to
see

of
different
groups,

the
largest
mining
entities.

don't
necessarily
have
the
most

there's

that
do

They'll
be
fine
in
the
proof

stake

it'll

interesting

just

a
business
standpoint,

different
entities
talking

hash
power
moving
over

ethereum

people

own

stake
in

people
still
believe

scalability
component

not
the
scalability
improvements
with
the
move

proof

scaling
road
map
is

pointed
towards

waiting

coming
out
of

the

like
to
pay
attention
to
all

different
crypto
narratives
and
the
narrative

years
has
been

last

more

one

it's
definitely
picked
up
momentum
over

last

curious

the
next

need
to
have

don't

handle

could
push
through
any
changes

that

the
ethereum
maxis
now
have
to
talk
about
chain
governance,
which
is
something
that
they
haven't
really
had
to
deal
with
under
proof
of
work,

how
they
spin
that
and
how
they
explain

you
know

proof

stake

better
than
everyone
else's
proof
of
stake.
When
you
look
at
the
validators
and
it's
all
gonna
kind
of
look
the
same,
that's
gonna
be
pretty
interesting
to
see.

the
other
thing
that'll
be
interesting
is
the

censorship
stuff
too.
So,
with
things
like
tornado
cache
getting
put
on
like
the
terrorist
list,
basically
you'll
likely
see
big
corporate
like
staking
pools
that
there's
a
risk
of
potentially
like
censoring
transactions
because
they
won't
touch
those.
So
then,
if,
if
that
were
to
happen
like
just
with
the
size
of
the
mining
pools,
it's
just
another
narrative,
it's
a
negative
narrative,
because
it's
just
something
that
they'll
have
to
get
through
and
deal
with,
but
I've
seen
different.

So
it'll
be
interesting
to
see
how
that
dynamic
plays
out
too,
if,
if
regulation,
changes
and
kind
of
forces
those
decisions
to
be
made,
but
that
that's
kind
of
bigger
than
just
ethereum
at
the
same
time,
but
ethereum's
just
gonna
deal
with
it
because
they
have
a
smart
contract.
That's
on
a
terrorist
list
now,
basically.

the

double
standard
there
with
the
ethereum
community
is
like
threatening
to
slash.
You
know
coinbase
if
they
censor
smart
contracts,
but
at
the
same
time
you
have
every
mining
pool,
running
mev
bots,
which
by
definition
are
censoring
and
rearranging
transactions
to
turn
a
profit.
So
I
mean
ultimately,
whoever
is
making
a
block,
has
the
full
rights
to
do
whatever
they
want
to
do
with
that
block,
you
could
just
produce
empty
blocks
if
you
wanted
to,
and
that's
perfectly
legitimate
for
anyone
to
do
if
it's
their
right
to
produce
the
block.
