A
A
B
A
Carries
recognition
of
the
audience
hello,
everybody
watching
us
on
tv,
it's
a
quiet
night
here,
so
we
don't
have
anybody
signed
up
to
address
us
either,
so
we'll
move
forward
there,
staff
reports
a
lot
of
new
aps.
A
Okay,
thank
you.
We
have
four
aps
that
we're
bringing
you
tonight
for
you
to
just
be
informed
about.
We
ran
this
through
the
governance
committee
already,
but
all
of
you
have
received
the
policies
in
your
packets
policy,
ap
4265
student
use
of
fps
information
network.
There
was
a
lot
of
work
done
to
this
one,
to
consolidate
a
lot
of
the
information
that
was
in
the
previous
policy
to
make
it
simpler
to
understand
and
follow,
and
so
we.
C
Their
second
policy
that
we
are
bringing
to
you
is
5265
staff
use
of
information
network.
In
this
one.
We
combined
a
couple
of
policies
to
make
it
again
more
consistent
with
our
policies
and
so
that
we
didn't
have
a
variety
of
different
policies
addressing
the
same
issue,
and
so
I
would
answer
any
questions.
If
you
have
it
on
that,
one.
D
A
Also
use
the
north
dakota
school
board
association
draft
policy
that
they
have
and
breed
north
dakota
has
a
policy,
a
recommended
policy
for
schools.
So
we
use
those
two
documents
to
come
up
with
what
is
now
our
new
policy,
and
just
it
modernizes
things
a
little
bit
with
the
languages
that
are
more
current
and
then
the
e-cigarettes
was
the
big.
E
Part,
so
we
included
that
okay
in
policy
ap,
73-20
relations
with
news
media.
What
we
did
was
we
created
a
policy
that
would
basically
put
into
policy
what
it
is
our
current
practice.
We
have
not
had
that
policy,
and
so,
if
we
have
a
building
administrator
or
someone
else
who
says
well,
what
is
your
policy
in
working
with
the
media?
E
We
didn't
have
that
before
it
was
always
just
through
what
practice
had
been,
so
this
is
just
basically
putting
that
together
and
so
consistency
is
the
main
point
part
of
this
and
written
for
our
administrators
to
use
and
for
others
to
have
if
ever
asked
for.
So
that
is
a
new
policy
that
we're
going
to.
F
F
Very
good
other
staff
reports-
jeff,
are
you?
Are
you
complete
with
everything
I
have
a
few
more
things?
Okay,
construction,
update,
of
course,
because
we're
in
the
midst
of
getting
that
done,
and
so
our
hvac
report.
All
schools
are
going
to
meet
the
timeline
with
regard
to
getting
our
hvac
systems
in
and
up
and
going
in
particular
the
chiller
systems,
the
air
conditioning
system,
getting
the
air
systems
back
on
in
the
schools
by
early
next
week.
We
should
have
that
running
in
all
of
our
elementary
schools,
where
we've
had
these
projects
going
on.
B
That
and
then
jeremy
also
who
works
with
all
of
our
trades,
have
really
been
on
top
of
the
project,
as
well
as
the
engineering
company
won
when
they
were
with
us
earlier
on
in
the
project.
Talking
about
all
these
different
processes,
they've
really
followed
through
and
kept
track
of,
what's
going
on
and
been,
after
all,
the
things
to
make
sure
they
get
done.
So
we're
very
happy
with
that.
Edclap.
B
If
you
drive
by
you,
can
see
the
progress
all
of
the
main
footings
now
for
the
exterior
walls
should
be
completed.
You'll
see
that
many
of
the
exterior
walls
are
up
the
gym
area.
The
walls
are
up
and
the
floor
is
actually
poured
in
the
gym
area.
So
goal
still
remains
to
have
the
school
closed
by
time.
The
snow
flies
and
everything
is
proceeding
on
time.
So
there's
no
no
questions
with
with
what's
going
on
there.
I
don't
think
we're
very
pleased
with
that
progress
too.
B
B
B
A
couple
changes
here.
Obviously
our
annual
switch
for
committee
assignments
and
board
assignments
has
been
presented
to
you.
So
in
order
to
make
these
official,
we
need
to
have
a
motion
to
do
so.
So
I'd
be
willing
to
entertain
an
emotion,
john.
I
move
a
adoption
of
your
committee
and
liaison
appointments
there,
a
second
second,
okay,
all
those
in
favor
of
the
2014
15
committee
assignments,
as
presented.
Please
vote
by
saying:
yes,
yes,
yes,
any
opposed.
No,
all
right!
Congratulations!
We'll
we'll
check
on!
Oh
I'll,
give
you
some
pointers
on
this
during
the
president's
report.
B
A
Because
it's
becoming
so
irrelevant
the
correspondence
item
on
the
agenda,
this
has
been
a
standing
agenda
item
for
a
long
time
and
probably
prior
to
everything
going
electronic.
So
there
was
some
discussion
and
governance
as
to
what
what
is
correspondence.
How
should
it
be
shared?
What
should
be
shared
and
the
governance
committee
is
going
to
recommend
that
we
remove
that
item
from
our
agendas
and
place
it
under
our
individual
reports.
A
There
was
also
discussion
about
sharing
emails,
and
sometimes
when
we
share
one
person's
email,
then
somebody
else
say
why
don't
you
share
mine,
and
so,
if
it's
addressed
to
all
of
us,
certainly
there's
no
need
to
report
it
out,
because
the
board
is
all
aware
of
it,
so
that
was
kind
of
the
the
gist
of
the
conversation
at
governance.
So,
in
order
for
us
to
remove
this
item
from
the
agenda
the
regular
agendas,
we
need
to
change
our
gp's
governing
policies,
so
that
is
presented
here
as
well.
A
So
to
start
the
discussion,
I
would
entertain
motion
from
the
floor.
A
A
All
right
well-
and
I
know
that
it
was
always
a
bit
awkward
for
jeff
too.
He
wasn't
quite
sure
what
to
share
and
was
it
was
if
it
was
written
and
what
have
you
so
during
some
celebratory
announcements
will
be
through
their
staff
reports
as
well.
Is
that
the
intent?
Okay,
very
good,
see
there's
no
discussion.
All
those
in
favor
of
the
motion
on
the
floor,
please
vote
by
saying.
Yes,
any
opposed
no
motion
carries.
A
Oh,
so
sorry,
we're
not
done,
I'm
sure
we
can
all
right.
Let's
talk
about
committee
and
liaison
reports.
Would
you
like
to
start
dinah
my
schools
this
year
are
claire
barton,
hawthorne
and
centennial,
and
I've
already
been
in
contact
with
the
pta
presidents
and
I'm
going
to
their
first
pta
meetings
and
to
the
first
staff
meetings
at
both
schools.
A
So
that's
already
on
the
roll
and
communications
I've
sent
out
an
email
to
everyone,
who's
on
the
committee
got
it
trying
to
set
up
our
first
meeting
for
next
week
or
the
following
week,
so
that
we
can
set
our
agenda
and
so
on
so
we're
on
roll.
A
Oh
something
to
report,
but
I
can't
remember
what
it
is.
However,
I
do
have
a
fargo
public
schools
foundation
meeting
coming
up
and
I
think
it's
next
wednesday
if
my
memory
is
right,
so
I'll
have
something
to
report
at
that
point
very
good.
A
A
B
G
I
I
failed
to
report
that
that
we've
had
two
meetings
and
we
have
our
school
improvement
committee
is
part
of
that
group,
and
so
that
is
a
group
of
teachers
and
administrators
that
already
work
with
the
we
call
it
sip
program,
advanced
ed,
it's
our
school
accreditation
committee,
and
so
I
believe
we.
A
B
B
Planning
will
be
meeting
this
thursday
or
this
friday
at
7,
30
kind
of
to
lay
out
our
goals
for
the
year
figure
out
what
our
normal
meeting
date's
going
to
be,
and
we've
got
a
couple
of
issues
that
the
administration
wants
to
at
least
get
a
a
preliminary
look
at
with
us.
B
The
sec
had
a
board
meeting
here
a
couple
weeks
ago,
elected
our
new
officers
for
the
coming
year
approved
our
budget
talked
a
lot
about
the
transition
of
the
fiscal
management
moving
off
of
our
bookkeeping
systems
here
and
kind
of
found
a
little
roadblock
to
that.
Not
one
that's
insurmountable,
but
it
appears
that
reas
have
no
legal
definition
in
the
law
of
any
kind.
A
So
that'll
be
probably
something
that's
going
to
require
legislative
action
to
get
it
done,
but
they're
proceeding
forward
with
the
plan
to
hopefully
become
free
standing
on
their
fiscal
management
side.
They're
undergoing
strategic
planning
kind
of
mapped
around
the
advanced,
ed
standards
that
school
districts
use,
and
I
think
that
will
be
beneficial
to
really
try
and
put
in
sync
what
the
sec
is
really
doing
to
complement
what
we
as
a
school
district
and
the
other
member
schools,
are
doing
in
our
own
school
improvement
processes
and
that's
about
it.
A
We
have
our
next
board
meeting
in
september.
I
want
to
thank
all
of
the
board
members
that
were
able
to
make
it
to
the
picnic.
I
want
to
give
a
special
shout
out
to
david,
even
though
he's
not
here
tonight
for
losing
most
of
the
hair
on
both
of
his
arms
and
helping
me
grill,
but
I
thought
it
was
a
really
great
day
again.
A
I
think
we
had
about
180
people
show
up
or
at
least
register,
which
was
down
a
little
bit,
but
that
was
because
some
of
the
building
level
staff
hadn't
really
reported
back
for
work
yet,
but
once
again,
anne
marie
picked
an
absolutely
gorgeous
day
to
hold
it.
So
she
is
still
at
a
hundred
percent
for
perfect
sunny
picnic
picking
days.
A
But
again,
thank
you
to
everybody
that
participated
and
everybody
that
brought
indoor
prizes.
I
think
it
was
a
great
day
for
all
the
staff.
Thank
you
and
thank
you,
jim
for
organizing
that
and
and
really
spearheading
the
event.
It's
a
great
it's
a
great
day
fun
by
all.
Okay,
and
as
far
as
my
report
goes,
you
see
the
upcoming
events.
We've
got
the
school
opener
north
dakota
school
boards,
association
and
nsba.
A
Let's
see
here,
committee
meetings,
the
gu.
As
you
start,
your
committee
meetings,
your
chairs,
will
the
one
of
the
agenda
items
is
establishing
the
regular
meeting
date,
and
so
I
shared
that,
where
the
first
two
days
of
each
month.
Historically,
we
try
not
to
schedule
four
committee
meetings
in
a
week.
You
know
you
know
what
I'm
saying
so.
Rick
steen,
I
think,
was
the
only
one
that
liked
the
munch
together
for
his
travel
time.
So
now
we
that's,
usually
the
preference
for
most
board
members.
A
So
if
you
want
to
stay
away
from
the
first
first
week
of
the
month,
that
will
be
appreciated
by
some
of
us
anyway
and
then
also
at
those
first
meetings.
We
kind
of
come
up
with
our
annual
work
plan,
and
so
it's
going
to
be
a
busy
year,
but
I
think
it's
good
that
we
we
have
that
strategy
going
into
it.
The
liaison
and
subcommittee
assignments
sounds
like
every
some
people
already
got
started
you
how
I
handle
it
is.
I
always
work
with
the
principal
first
and
I
never
show
up
in
their
schools.
A
Unannounced,
I
think
that's
you
know
just
a
professional
courtesy
but
donna's
going
to
pta
meetings.
You
said
and
there's
back
to
school
nights.
There's
you
know
tours
staff
meetings.
You
know
the
principal
will
invite
you
to
that
carnivals,
there's
all
kinds
of
things
that
you
can
show
up
for,
but
again
I
would
encourage
you
to
always
contact
that
principal
first
and
oftentimes.
If
you're
there
in
an
audience,
they'll
recognize
you
and
and
that's
important
to
those
parents
that
board
members
show
up
and
support
their
schools.
A
So
it's
also
up
to
us
to
contact
our
assigned
boards
and
some
of
those
are
hard
to
know
who
to
connect
with.
So
let
me
let
me
know
if
you
have
any
questions
correspondence
that
tomorrow
august
13th,
there
will
be
the
the
as
required
by
law,
the
mill
levy
notice
in
the
fargo
form
and
here's
a
first.
A
This
year,
an
individual
letter
signed
by
me
will
be
sent
to
20
about
2
160
property
owners,
as
required
by
the
law,
and
this
is
the
first
year
we've
had
to
do
this
and
apparently
it's
those
property
owners
whose
properties
were
reassessed
this
year,
so
we're
sending
them
a
letter,
sending
the
postage
to
tell
them
how
much
we're
going
to
tax
them
for
that.
So
anyway,
I
thought
that
was.
Does
anybody
have
any
feedback
on
that
brock?
Do
you
know
was
that
always
part
of
that
that
new.
A
A
A
Madam
president,
members
of
the
board
to
jim's
point,
there
was
some
communication
amongst
many
of
us
who
are
sending
letters
as
jim
indicates
and
actually
inquiring
about
the
ability
to
send
one
letter
that
would
cover
all
of
the
political
subdivisions
and
taxing
entities,
and
the
law
does
not
allow
for
that.
So
to
your
point,
they
get
various
letters
and
and
from
different
entities,
and
that
might
be
something
that
gets
revisited.
I
don't
know
this
was
enacted
in
11
during
the
11th
session.
A
There
were
modifications
made
in
the
13
session,
we'll
see
what
happens,
but
this
question
has
now
come
up
of.
Should
all
these
entities
be
able
to
send
get
work
together
and
send
one
notice
so
we'll
see
always
interesting?
I
have
one
last
question
for
jim.
You
talked
about
reas,
not
not
being
provided
for
north
dakota
century
code,
so
they
were.
They
were
funded
a
couple
of
sessions
ago,
but
there's
nothing
in
law.
Is
that
what
you're
saying?
A
A
So
my
guess
is
that
will
get
resolved,
especially
when
you
look
at
the
massive
amount
of
grant
dollars
that
are
now
being
handled
by
by
the
reas,
and
I
suspect
there
will
be
lots
of
little
things
going
on
in
the
legislature
to
determine
what
they
are,
how
they're
monitored,
who
they
report
to,
and
what
system
do
they
fall
under
because,
technically
speaking,
they're
kind
of
freestanding
right
now
and
operating
quite
differently
from
one
rea
to
the
next
throughout
the
state
too?
I
might
add,
so
thank
you
probably
be
good
to
have
them
standardized
good.
A
Thank
you
all
right!
That's
it
for
my
report,
other
than
it
looks
like
everybody
has
a
ticket
to
go
to
the
ufta
taco
luncheon
at
north
high,
so
that
might
be
kind
of
fun
next
friday
to
attend
that
does
anybody
else
have
anything
to
add
all
right,
gang
short
meeting.
This
meeting
of
the
fargo
school
board
is.
