Description
Fargo Public Schools - Board of Education Meeting - Live Broadcast - November 14, 2017
A
We
have
actually
got
messages
from
both
Christy
and
David.
They
were
delayed
but
are
in
route,
so
they'll
be
joining
us
shortly.
Hopefully
before
I
ask
for
approval
of
the
agenda.
I
have
one
addition
under
the
consent
agenda,
and
that
would
be
the
HR
addendum
that
should
be
at
your
workstation
and
I'd.
Like
the
board's
permission
to
add
items
see
under
business,
which
would
be
a
presidential
proclamation.
C
A
Opposed
signify
by
saying
no
motion
carries
go
on
going
on
to
recognition
of
the
audience.
I,
don't
believe
anybody
had
signed
up,
but
I
do
want
to
take
this
moment
to
make
an
announcement
on
behalf
of
the
metro-area
student
ambassadors
rather
than
waiting
to
the
M
for
correspondence.
This
is
so
important.
I
want
to
make
sure
all
the
viewers
at
home
I
have
an
opportunity
to
hear
it
as
well.
A
They
have
actually
raised
2.1
million
pounds
of
food
for
hungry
folks
in
our
area
and
on
top
of
that,
over
five
hundred
and
fifty
five
thousand
dollars
of
cash
contributions,
I
bring
this
to
the
board's
attention.
The
community's
attention,
if
you
happen
to
be
watching
us
because
between
now
and
Friday,
if
you
would
be
kind
enough
to
find
some
food
products
that
you
might
have
in
your
cupboards,
that
you
could
share,
please
take
them
to
any
one
of
the
Fargo
public
school
buildings.
A
Collection
boxes
are
located
at
all
of
our
buildings
and
I
want
to
encourage
the
board.
If
you
don't
have
time
to
drop
something
off
at
the
school.
Give
me
a
call
I'll
pick
it
up
from
you
on
Friday
and
get
it
to
the
appropriate
school
which,
in
my
case,
would
either
be
Hawthorne,
Clara,
Barton
or
South
High.
And,
of
course,
the
schools
do
have
a
little
competition
between
themselves
to
see
who
can
raise
the
most.
D
Okay,
so
we
do
have
a
lot
going
on
to
report
currently
through
December
1st
Fargo
EAA
is
facilitating
a
book
drive
in
Fargo
public
school
buildings,
we're
collecting
new
and
gently
used
books
to
help
stock.
The
library
at
the
Jeremiah
program,
campus
opening
in
December,
the
books
for
young
children
and
their
mothers
it'll
be
a
great
way
to
give
them
something
to
add
to
their
experience
this
week.
Fba
is
sponsoring
jeans
week
is
not
yet
a
federal
holiday,
but
I
think
it's
on
fast
track.
D
All
staff
at
Fargo,
public
schools
are
invited
to
wear
jeans
and
donate
a
dollar
or
you
could
wear
a
suit
and
donate
$1
that
would
be
allowed
to
all
proceeds.
Go
to
Big
98.7
Christmas
Wish
over
the
past
several
years.
We've
done
this.
We
have
donated
all
the
staff
at
Fargo
schools
and
thousands
and
thousands
and
thousands
of
dollars
to
this
local
fund
raiser.
D
D
Public
education
is
the
foundation
the
bedrock
of
democracy
in
public
schools.
We
take
all
children,
we
teach
all
children
and
we
don't
say
that
with
complaint
or
criticism.
We
say
that
with
pride,
it's
what
we
do.
Fargo
public
school
has
over
well
over
2,000
employees.
We
have
teachers
and
principals
strategists
and
drivers
and
paraprofessionals
and
locksmiths
I,
always
say
lockpicks,
I'm,
pretty
sure,
they're,
locksmiths,
administrative
assistants,
coaches
engineers,
media
specialists,
substitutes
accountants,
writers,
social
workers,
interventionists
superintendents
directors,
techno,
wizards
and
school
board
members.
D
Each
one
of
us
is
pretty
amazing
at
what
we
do
think
about
it,
though
all
these
people
all
these
roles.
All
these
perspectives
is
pretty
amazing.
We
don't
just
go
flying
off
the
face
of
the
earth
when
we
start
colliding,
but
in
Fargo
Public
Schools
things
don't
fall
apart,
because
the
center
does
hold
pretty
amazing
on
our
own,
we're
together
profoundly
powerful
we're
held
together
by
the
gravity
of
our
vision
and
our
mission.
What
we
do
we
help
kids
learn
at
the
American
education
week.
A
Been
moved
and
seconded
all
those
in
favor
signify
by
saying
yes,
and
he
opposed
signify
by
saying
no
motion
carries,
brings
us
to
our
business
section
and
our
first
item
tonight
is
the
first
part
of
our
superintendent
evaluation.
I
would
reference
you
over
to
memo
number
49
in
your
board
packet
at
first
of
all.
I
want
to
thank
all
board
members
for
taking
the
time
to
fill
out.
The
evaluation
form
on
dr.
Schatz
I'm
pleased
to
say
that
all
nine
of
us
found
his
performance
satisfactory,
extremely
satisfactory
and
I
want
to
give
dr.
E
I
don't
have
too
many
I
just
would
say
that
the
continued
support
that
I
get
from
the
community
and
from
the
board
and
others
who
carry
on
the
mission
of
our
district
is
appreciated.
This
work
is
complex
and
I'm.
Appreciating
Laura's
approach
this
year
with
the
whole
theme
of
unity,
because
working
together
is
how
we
get
it
done,
and
so
just
a
member
of
a
great
big
team
and
when
we
all
get
focused
good
things
happen,
so
that
support
is
appreciated.
Thank
You,
Wanda.
A
A
I
A
B
J
K
K
A
That
brings
us
to
our
next
business
item
item
C,
which
I
asked
to
have
added
to
the
agenda.
As
Laura
pointed
out,
it
is
education
American
education
week
and
the
National
Education
Association
would
actually
like
to
have
tomorrow
focused
on
education
support
professionals
and
with
the
board's
permission,
I
would
like
to
proclaim
tomorrow
officially
education
support
professional
day,
but
I'll
first
wait
to
see
if
I
get
a
motion
a
second
and
approval
to
do
so.
K
A
That
concludes
our
business
section
for
the
night
and
we
are
on
to
our
board
reports.
Several
of
us
are
going
to
be
sharing
a
highlighter
from
our
trip
out
to
Bismarck
for
the
annual
conference.
I
want
to
thank
you
all
for
actually
taking
the
time
to
complete
your
reporting
form.
Obviously,
you've
shared
a
lot
of
insights
on
all
of
the
different
ones
you
might
have
attended.
J
J
Well,
it's
not
quite
what
I
expected
when
you
go
to
a
session
and
maybe
pick
a
different
one,
but
I
ended
up
staying
at
all
those
that
I
selected
and
I
went
to
two
by
Draper
and
I
know
that
others
of
us
suggested
that
we
possibly
have
him
come
to
present
for
an
opener.
So
I
just
wanted
to
pass
that
on
that
I
agreed
with
that
the
opening
session
I
I,
don't
follow
football.
A
whole
lot.
J
I
noticed
that
there
were
many
people
that
were
I,
think
Brock
I
think
you
were
really
intrigued
by
this
any
rate.
No,
he
was
a
good
presenter
and
I
felt,
like
many
people
related
to
him,
also
because
of
the
love
of
football,
but
just
lots
of
good
strong
messages
about
lessons
for
life
and-
and
you
know,
obviously
not
giving
up
I
guess
in
regard
to
highlighting
American
education
week.
These
the
statements
made
by
by
is
a
Draper
regarding
true
stories,
tested
sentences
that
people
believe
in
in
regard
to
public
education.
J
I
could
share
a
couple
of
those.
For
example,
healthy
communities
need
strong
public
schools,
Americans
who
work
their
way
out
of
poverty,
go
to
public
schools.
So
there
were
a
few
others
that
were
shared
as
well,
but
those
are
statements
that
we
can
all
use
as
we
continue
to
illustrate
the
importance
of
public
schools
in
not
only
our
city,
but
our
nation.
J
One
session
that
was
rather
interesting
to
me,
dealing
with
Mavericks,
malcontents
and
mutineers
I,
wasn't
quite
sure
how
that
was
going
to
go.
But
the
person
really
talked
about
how,
when
we're
dealing
with
people,
we
don't
know,
I
mean
even
if
it's
someone
that
we've
known
for
you
know
maybe
many
years,
we
really
don't
know.
J
Sometimes
the
history
that
a
person
brings
to
a
situation
and
that
could
be
whether
it's
a
child
or
an
adult,
and
so
that
sometimes
we
might
get
into
confrontational
situations
and
that
because
we
don't
every,
we
all
bring
to
the
table.
Our
past
experiences
with
you
know
and
start
in
terms
of
kids
and
adults,
and
so
just
the
main
message,
I
guess
of
trying
to
understand
that
we
don't
know
ever
that.
J
We
don't
know
everyone
that
we
don't
know
the
past
experiences
and
there
were
three
three
points
shared
here:
PDF
pause,
drop
and
flow
so
getting
into
a
confrontational
situation
before
we
just
oftentimes,
you
don't
want
it.
Oh
go
right
at
something,
but
pause
and
just
kind
of
chill
a
little
bit
drop
down.
He
means
kind
of
like
drop
into
from
getting
into
all,
like
the
hothead
part,
go
kind
of
into
your
heart
area
and
just
kind
of
go.
Okay.
J
You
know
I,
maybe
just
need
to
think
about
this,
a
little
bit
more
and
where
someone
else
might
be
coming
from
and
then
I
guess.
The
flow
is
just
continuing
to
have
a
little
bit
more
of
a
balanced
conversation
with
a
person
or
a
situation,
so
I
thought
that
was
rather
interesting
and
and
the
legislative
sessions.
J
Of
course,
it's
always
good
to
have
those
updates
and
in
talking
to
Senator,
Oban,
Aaron,
Oban
I
believe
that
it
would
be
worth
our
while
to
not
only
as
we
will
continue
to
make
the
relationships
with
our
legislators
in
the
Fargo
area,
but
possibly
to
look
at
what
we
need
to
do
to
reach
out
to
legislators
across
the
state
regarding
certain
issues
too,
because
she
definitely
shared
with
me
after
the
session
that
there
are
board
members.
You
know
from
her
own
community
that
she
doesn't
hear
from
and
that's
Bismarck.
J
I
think
I'll,
let
I'll
let
the
next
person
go
but
great
session
and
Jim
with
your
leadership
and
wherever
you
were
involved
in
helping
to
get
our
get
these
sessions
scheduled.
I
really
appreciate
it
and,
of
course,
dr.
Schatz
is
presentation
in
regard
to
what
the
district
is
doing
on
the
opioid
crisis.
I
think
that
that
was
it
was
very
beneficial.
Thank
you
very
much
for
for
your
time
on
that.
Okay,.
I
So
I
agree:
Rebecca.
There
were
several
great
speakers
to
choose
from,
and
topics
and
dr.
John
Draper
had
few
of
them.
I
was
able
to
also
attend
a
couple
of
his
sessions
and
I
did
notice
in
several
of
our
notes
that
we
all
thought
he
would
be
a
great,
perhaps
one
that
we
could
throw
in
the
lineup
for
possibilities
for
next
year's
speaker,
I'm,
not
sure
if
dr.
I
What
are
we
doing
specifically
within
the
district
to
measure
at
this
particular
level,
because,
according
to
research,
they're
saying
and
I
found
some
articles,
even
one
written
by
helmet,
that
2/3
of
North
Dakota
children
aren't
proficient
readers
by
4th
grade
and
so
I'm
very
interested
in
knowing
what
are
we?
Where
are
our
kids
within
Fargo
public
schools?
And
how
are
we
addressing
that
measuring
it
and
then
implementing
whatever
it
is
that
we
need
to
do
to
help
them
get
to
the
level
they
need
to
be
at.
I
So
that
was
something
that
that
I
found
interesting
and
then
dr..
Well.
Actually,
let
me
one
other
note
on
that.
This
particular
speaker
was
Edie.
Massey
talked
a
little
bit
about
some
of
the
programs
that
they
do
within
their
district
and
they
have
this
success
by
six
program.
He
talked
about
where
they
offer
out
on
their
website
a
packet,
basically
for
parents
with
pre-k
kiddos
to
to
hopefully
write
or
ask
the
parent
to
engage
and
to
use
and
oftentimes
parents
are
looking
for
tools
right.
What
can
we
do
to
work
with
our
kids?
I
That
might
not
be
in
a
structured
preschool,
and
maybe
even
if
they
are,
what
more
can
we
do
to
help
get
them
school
ready?
And
this
is
one
of
the
things
that
their
district
has
taken
on
and
one
of
the
things
they
found
as
a
result
is
that
they
have
limited
the
diagnosis
of
special
needs.
By
doing
this-
and
this
has
they
have
said-
you
know
directly
affected
their
kiddos
that
are
coming
in
ready
for
kindergarten
and
what
levels
are
coming
in
at
so
I
thought.
I
Their
first
year
of
college
and
I
know
that's
sort
of
been
a
topic
that
we've
been
hearing
a
lot
about
lately
and
she
encouraged
school
boards
to
track
remediation
rates
specific
to
their
school,
and
she
also
mentioned
that
we
could
look
at
community
colleges
and
that
they
have
at
least
five
years
worth
of
data
out
there.
So
again,
I
thought
that
was
an
interesting
statistic
and
I.
Don't
know
where
we're
at
with
that.
I
A
F
You
and
I
apologize
for
needing
to
leave
for
another
meeting
during
concert
week.
I
just
wanted
to
bring
to
your
attention
the
Community
Development
Committee
has
assigned
an
ad
hoc
group
that
I
am
serving
with
within
the
topic
of
workforce
housing
and
affordable
housing.
We're
studying,
establishing
trust
and
how
that
works
in
communities
and
including
some
in
North
Dakota
is
that
the
city
owns
or
another
entity,
but
typically
the
city
owns
the
land.
F
But
the
city
retains
ownership
of
the
land
and
it's
it's
kind
of
complex,
but
the
reason
I
wanted
to
bring
this
up
is
that
in
our
conversation
the
idea
came
up
that
they
would
like
to
partner
with
Fargo
Public
Schools
and
incorporate
some
of
the
homes
that
our
students
are
building
and
and
have
some
sort
of
partnership
that
way
so,
whether
or
not
that
would
work
I
just
didn't
want
you
to
hear
about
it
in
the
media.
First
that
that's
part
of
the
conversation.
F
K
Thank
you.
It
was
a.
It
was
a
good
convention
and
the
speakers
were
really
excellent.
I
guess
one
of
the
things
that
I
liked
best
or
that
took
away
from
it
was
the
dr.
Draper
presentations,
and
he
made
the
point
several
times
that
we
don't
have
to
change
opinions
about
public
schools.
Everyone
in
general
loves
their
public
school.
They
think
that
there's
this
some
crisis
and
other
public
schools
someplace
else
and
to
really
change
the
narratives
about
public
education
in
America.
K
We
really
need
to
change
the
way
people
feel
about
their
school
all
schools
and
he
shared
some
messages
about
how
to
do
that.
Any
and
one
of
the
sessions
you
broke
out
into
talking
about
more
about
why?
Why
are
people
feeling
this
way?
And
it's
you
know
it's.
It's
think
it's
a
piece
of
one
of
those
larger
things
happening
our
country
where
people
are
segregating
themselves
and
to
their
own
little
bubbles
and
not
being
able
to
reach
out
and
as
our
demographics
of
our
country
change.
K
A
You
John
well
as
I
think
everybody
knows,
I
really
don't
get
to
attend
anything
that
I
want
I
get
assigned
ones
as
I
have
to
count
heads
and
introduce
people,
so
I
was
assigned
to
dr.
Draper
and
for
both
of
his
sessions
and
I.
Think
everybody
shared
some
really
good
pearls
of
wisdom
from
Mohs
and
I
know
many
other
board
members
attended
one
or
both
or
the
opening
session,
not
only
from
our
district,
but
it
was
pretty
well
received
throughout
the
entire
state.
I
guess
there
are
two
sessions
that
all
touch
base
on.
A
To
my
right,
because
not
only
did
dr.
Schatz
present
for
our
law
seminar,
he
is
the
one
that
actually
got
the
US
Attorney
involved
and
got
him
on
board
to
come
out.
He's
also
the
one
that
spearheaded
the
juvenile
justice
folks
coming
out.
So
thank
you
from
the
the
North
Dakota
School,
Boards
Association,
and
it
just
means
I'll,
probably
be
leaning
on
you
again
next
year
for
legal
topics,
but
I.
Think
the
law.
Seminar
from
start
to
finish
was
really
timely
topics
and
well-received
by
everybody
that
was
over
that
day.
A
The
rest
of
you,
of
course,
will
all
get
an
opportunity
to
share
any
highlights
that
you
have
when
we
get
back
together
on
November
28th,
and
if
you
haven't
already
completed
your
attendance
reporting,
form
you'll,
see
it
as
part
of
the
homework
stuff
that
I
hand
out
with
the
presidential
report.
That
is
really
an
amory's
report.
She
puts
it
together
for
me,
so
we'll
go
around
for
committee
and
ways
on
updates.
At
this
point,
Rebecca
I.
J
Last
week
the
Native
American
Commission
Matt
and
I
attended
a
quite
a
few
of
the
events
associated
with
the
Native
American
education
week
that
the
library
put
on
the
Native
American
at
Commission
helped
to
sponsor
and
organize
that
event.
So
there
were
some
movies
and
speakers
that
I
went
to
some
storytellers,
and
that
is
the
extent
of
my
report.
Thank
you.
Thank.
B
Okay,
so
it
seems
like
an
awfully
busy
few
weeks.
First
of
all,
I
want
to
remind
you
that
the
Communications
Committee
meeting
is
this
Friday
at
7:30
committee
members
and
any
others
are
welcome.
I
forgot
to
mention
at
our
last
meeting
that
the
Board
of
Health
had
matched
and
dr.
Schatz
actually
covered
the
one
item
that
I
plan
to
tell
you
and
his
board
update
about
the
naloxone
and
that's
a
just
to
be
clear.
That's
a
Fargo,
Cass,
Public
Health
initiated
thing
as
opposed
to
the
schools
going
and
asking
for
it.
B
B
So
another
piece,
the
Fargo
Cass
Public
Health
employees-
are
very
involved
in
the
blue
ribbon
panel
and
the
opioid
pieces
that
are
going
on
and
they
are
also
continually
developing
materials
that
are
educational,
whether
they're
for
individuals,
for
students,
for
parents,
for
families,
for
schools
or
whatever-
and
this
is
the
latest
thing.
So
any
of
you
who
have
not
heard
of
Jule
Ju
ul
cigarette
woody
cigarette
format.
B
But
it
looks
like
a
little
Richmond
Collett
that
you
stick
in
your
computer
anyway,
you
can
just
circulate
that
around
that's
the
latest
piece
from
there
I
also
attended
sort
of
partly
through
the
Board
of
Health,
the
reefing
mental
health.
I
think
I
mentioned
that
over
the
years
it
was
part
of
the
community
health
survey.
For
several
years
ago.
B
Somebody
in
this
particular
group.
Well,
the
first
step
is
to
get
them
not
to
drink
with
those
folks
so
that
at
least
they're
not
being
beaten
up
every
time
they
go
out
with
their
buddies,
so
that
there's
you
know,
sort
of
this
idea
of
one
step
at
a
time
and
that
it's
not
all
or
nothing,
and
that
I
think
we
have
to
look
at
that
piece
that
some
of
these
issues
aren't
black
and
white
and
that
you
you
do
it
or
you
don't
do
it.
B
B
Have
perhaps
family
in
situations
of
sorts
where
these
kinds
of
this
idea
could
be
translated
into
sort
of
our
empathy
for
some
of
those
kids
anyway?
What's
interesting,
I've
also
p,
like
the
rest
of
you
to
the
focus
group
to
the
negotiations.
Training
I've
been
to
McKinley
eggs
and
issues
the
United
Way
women's
lunch.
That
was
really
nice
by
the
way
for
all
of
us
to
be.
There
I
think
that
was
a
good
event
and
I
attended,
yes,
PB
and
spirit
tacular
at
South.
B
B
They
have
students
associated
with
all
the
sporting
and
Club
Spring
in
the
the
flag
of
the
the
particular
Club,
and
they
displayed
them
all
and
they
announced
the
names
of
all
the
kids
and
it
was
just
an
incredibly
diverse
group
all
across
the
board
everywhere,
and
it
was
just
really
good
to
see
all
of
that.
So
anyway,.
A
I
Okay,
so
let's
see
I
attended
eggs
and
issues
a
PTA
meeting
over
at
HMR
and
I
spent
some
time
at
Jefferson
the
status
of
schools
event
the
let's
see,
negotiation
seminar
and
the
United
Way
Women's
luncheon.
So
it
was
a
busy
couple
of
weeks,
but
all
good.
We
had
a
great
turnout
at
the
state
of
schools
and
we
had
a
really
great
engaged
group.
I,
really
look
forward
to
seeing
the
notes
from
the
rest
of
the
group
so.
A
K
Alright,
so
I
was
also
at
state
of
the
schools
and
had
a
very
similar
experience
had
a
very
I.
First
of
all,
I
really
enjoyed
the
format
before
where
you
gave
your
little
spiel
dr.
shots
and
then
turned
it
over
to
some
of
the
staff
to
share
their
stories
of
what's
going
on
in
our
schools
and
the
innovative
teaching
techniques
that
are
happening
out
there
and
then
moving
from
there
into
the
focus
groups.
K
I
I'm
also
looking
to
forward
to
hearing
what
came
out
of
the
other
focus
groups
and
and
like
I,
told
everyone
who
I
was
trying
to
pitch
to
get
into
the
event
and
then
at
the
event,
we
do
take
all
of
those
comments
very
seriously
and-
and
we
are
I-
think
all
looking
forward
to
seeing
what
the
overall
feedback
was
and
considering
what
is
good
in
our
district
and
maybe
what
needs
some
changing.
So
that
was
excellent.
Looking
forward
to
our
next
year.
You
know
that
brings
us
back
to
think
about
what
dr.
K
Draper
was
saying
and
one
of
his
recommendations
for
improving
public
perception
of
public
schools,
and
that
is
find
reasons
to
celebrate
and
make
them
well
known,
and
so
our
kickoff
event
I
think
X
on
celebration.
The
state
of
the
schools
Eve
an
excellent
celebration.
He
advised
making
sure
your
graduations
are
celebrations
and
not
funeral
dirges.
K
So
those
kind
of
opportunities,
I
think
are
very
important
for
us
to
highlight.
I
was
also
at
the
negotiations.
Professional
development,
this
past
Saturday
I,
think
the
feeling
I
got
was
that
it
was
pretty
good.
So
I
want
to
thank
mr.
Andy
Seaver
from
Montana
State
School
Board
Association
for
driving
out
here,
killing
his
end
of
his
last
week
and
his
weekend,
I
think.
But
it
was
good.
He
talked
to
us
about
the
past
and
the
future
of
organized
labor
and
labor
relations.
K
He
talked
about
the
law
of
board
in
association
negotiations,
a
little
bit
about
negotiations,
planning
and
tactics,
and
then
we
walked
through
our
contract
with
him.
So
thanks
again
to
him
looking
forward
here,
two
things:
I'm
looking
forward
to
dropping
off
my
fill
the
dome
donations
tomorrow
as
I
visit,
my
school's
Ben
Franklin
in
Washington,
and
the
negotiations
committee
will
meet
Monday
27th
of
November
noon
here.
So
please
add
that
to
the
your
presidents
report
or
your
calendar,
and
we
will
see
you
there.
Thank
you
very
much.
Thank.
C
Planning
committee
met
today
at
noon.
I
was
a
part
of
the
state
of
the
schools
event,
negotiation
seminar.
Thank
you
for
the
United
Way
luncheon
this
coming
Thursday
tomorrow,
yeah!
No,
today's
Tuesday,
but
it
is
on
Thursday.
Is
the
town
hall
meeting
how
to
protect
your
children
in
a
difficult
world
I'm
one
of
the
presenters
of
that
and
it's
talking
it's
a
free
event
to
the
public,
and
it
will
get
a
tool
box
to
how
to
help
your
kids
navigate
with
all
the
things
and
disruptions
that
they
have.
So
that's
from
6:30
to
8:00.
C
G
Thank
you.
I
also
attended
the
United
Way
in
luncheon,
so
thank
you
and
Marie
for
the
invite
on
that,
and
that
was
very,
very
awesome
and
the
state
of
the
schools
I
met
with
both
of
my
schools
for
the
liaison
visits.
Friday
is
communications.
G
Next
Tuesday
is
GAC
fill
the
dome
we
did
have
some
students
come
around
the
neighborhood
and
collected
a
bunch
of
food,
and
it
looked
like
all
of
our
neighbors
were
right
in
there
with
with
giving
tons
bags
I
loaded
them
up
pretty
good,
so
they
had
to
stop
at
the
car
and
drop
it
off.
So
that
was
good
and
then
it
looks
like
I
have
PTA
on
Friday
as
well
in
the
afternoon
over
at
Kennedy.
Thank
you.
A
A
First
of
all,
those
of
you
that
have
already
contributed
food
or
are
getting
ready
to
great
idea.
Just
a
reminder.
Friday
is
the
last
day,
especially
if
you
could
get
that
into
the
Fargo
forum
and
tell
people
to
bring
canned
goods
to
the
schools
to
help
feed
the
hungry.
That
would
be
very
beneficial.
A
Please
note
on
the
bottom
of
the
report.
The
homework
assignments
that
may
still
be
outstanding.
Those
of
you
that
haven't
submitted
your
School,
Board
Association
reporting
form
or
your
school,
is
on
forms.
Please
get
those
in
by
November
20th
and
it
looks
like
we'll
have
a
new
homework
assignment
coming
out
shortly
for
AL,
seven,
eight,
nine
and
ten
and
that'll
be
due
on
December
7th,
a
couple
of
things.
Just
from
my
perspective,
I
did
not
get
the
opportunity
to
go
to
this
discriminatory
United,
Way
woman's
event.
A
I
didn't
get
an
invite,
but
I
was
very
pleased
to
see
Fargo
Public,
Schools,
board
members
and
staff
there
supporting
those
efforts.
I
want
to
thank
you
all
for
those
of
you
that
were
able
to
be
at
the
state
of
the
school
district.
I
want
to
thank
Dan
Marie
and
her
team
and
dr.
Schatz
and
his
it
a
straight
of
team
for
all
the
work
they
put
into
that
it's
not
a
small
little
thing
that
happens
magically
for
a
couple
hours
one
day
a
year.
A
That
annual
report
is
kind
of
a
synthesis
of
a
lot
of
what
the
district
does,
but
the
logistics
of
having
that
type
of
an
event
in
our
community
is
a
fair
amount
of
work.
So
Emory
hats
off
to
you
and
your
team
I
want
to,
in
particular
thank
John
for
coordinating
the
negotiations,
training
that
we
had
last
Saturday
I
think
he
brought
us
all
good
luck
in
terms
of
giving
us
kind
of
some
new
insights
that,
hopefully
we
can
work
towards
a
more
collaborative
process
going
forward
and
I'm.
A
Looking
forward
to
that
and
your
continued
leadership
of
that
committee
SEEC
met
since
we
last
had
a
board
meeting,
they
actually
did
small
group
administrator
meetings
throughout
the
region,
but
they
wanted
board
members
to
get
to
one
so
I
attended
one
at
the
brand-new
Mapleton
elementary
school,
which
is
actually
a
very
nice
school
with
a
state-of-the-art
high
school
gym,
but
they
don't
have
a
high
school
program.
So
I
don't
know
who's
gonna
play
basketball
there.
Maybe
Brock
and
his
family
can
use
it
on
weekends.
