From YouTube: Guardians of Our Shared History

Description

Our data is the memory of humankind, but is under constant threat of disappearing forever. Our panelists today represent three organisations who are pioneers in information preservation. Their work ensures that the world’s legacy of knowledge, the identity, history, and values of humankind is protected for present and future generations.

Our moderator today is Jonathan Dotan, a fellow at Stanford’s Center for Blockchain Research and co-founder of the Starling Initiative. Jonathan is joined by Wendy Hanamura, a storyteller for change and head of partnerships at The Internet Archive. Our third panelist is Nathan Freitas: Nathan is the founder and director of Guardian Project, an award-winning, open-source, mobile security collaborative.

Join us for Filecoin Liftoff Week, an action-packed series of talks, workshops, and panels curated by the web3 community to celebrate the Filecoin mainnet launch and chart the network’s future. https://liftoff.filecoin.io/

Events take place all week, October 19-23, 2020. #FilecoinLiftoff
