concepts
around

file
coin
network
and
kind

like
learn
a
lot
from
all
the
prior
work.

excited

future

internet
and
what
it
means

store
data
that
can
be
retrieved
from
anywhere
in
the
world.
Today
we
have
200
plus
accounts
and
over
100
gigabytes
of
user
data
on
slight
and
I'm
hoping
that
in
the
long
term,
when
people
think
about
falcoin
and
they
think
about
what's
being
stored,
it's
actually
stuff
that
we
want
to
remember
and
stuff
that
we
want
to
share
for
all
types
of
research,
whether
it
be
academic
or
just
archiving
or
just
history.

Just
to
learn
about
you
know
the
progress
of
humanity,
and
you
know
things
that
we're
doing,
and
so
slate
is
a
huge
team
effort
and
it's
five
core
team
members,
but
we've
had
17
drive-by
contributors,
we've
had
five
friends
from
textile
who've
been
like
insanely
helpful
along
the
whole
way
and
puja
and
juan
provide
a
foundation
and
a
lot
of
wisdom
and
guidance
that
kind
of
made
a
lot
of
ideation
possible.

to

everyone
being
kind
and
just
like
helping
us,
learn
along

way
we've
actually

stop

exclusively

actually
start
moving
towards

is
an
amazing
technology.

commonly
gets
considered

a

sharing

they've

it's
good

what

intention

was
able

the
post
conditions

not
super
obvious
to
everyone,

so
everyone,

follcoin
team
and
the
associated
partners,
are
all
trying
these
out
daily
and
in
finding
issues
and
bugs.
But

designer,

have
to
kind
of
deal
with
that
and
also
try
to
imagine
what
they're
capable
of
doing-
and
I
think
that's
really
challenging.

did
an
exercise
later
on
where
I
I
made
a
website
with
an
api,
the
entire
lotus
network,
and
you
can
see
that
there's
only
49
on
the
screen
here,
but
it
actually
goes
on
to
over
80..
So
there's
like
a
lot
of
things
that
this
this
network
has
packed
into
it.
That
you
know
takes
a
lot
of
effort
to
understand
so
way
more
difficult
than
a
typical
allocation,
and
this
is
where
I
give
you
know.

of

peak

what
I
feel
like
was
a

What
was
happening
to
kind
of
just
walk
me
through

complexity

detail

a
lot

course
we
use
those
things
every
day
you
have

you

like
awesome
ways
to
organize
data
like
we
stand
on
the
shoulders
of
those
guys,
and
then
you

ello
and

cargo
collective,
which
are,
I
think,
like
awesome
website
builders,
so
we
know
we're
on
the
web.
We
know
the
medium.
Is
the
website
so
kind
of
putting
this
into
our
mood
boards
to
help
us
understand.

working
in
an
ecosystem
with
a
lot
of
different
ideas,
and
we
don't
want
to
be
in
a
vacuum,

led

and
the
difference

in
many

in
the
world

the
time
we

nice

get
through
that
initial.

crisis
mode
and
start
sharing
things
online
with
people
and

start
like
you

kind
of
I
don't
know
just
getting
the
word
out
there,

people
come
contribute
if
they
wanted
to,
and
I'm
going
to
take
a
little
a
side
step
and
really
thank
onorak
for
render.com,
which
has
been
the
easiest
way
to
prototype
and
share
these
applications,
and
we
still
use
them
in
production
and-
and
they
just
been
super
helpful.

I
recommend
you
check
them

If
you
need
to
just
prototype
a
quick
application,
you
know
as
a
designer
it
nothing
helps
more
than
just
giving
people
the
near
finished,
prototype
and
and
and
getting
feedback
there,
and
so
also
giving
a
shout
out
to
ben
period,
which
you
know
I
I
started
doing
pre-brand
after
I
had
launched
a
prototype
for
people
to
play
with,
and
I
really
like
this
idea
of
a
brand
that
can
grow
with
what
you're
building.
So
you
know
you
know
your
features
will
change.

You
know,
long-term
effects
for
where
we
are
today
with
slate
to
you,
know,
change
its
name
and,
and
so
I
won't
share
the
person
who
shared
that
bottom
chat
message.
But
you
know
a
lot
of
people
thought
slate
was
a
really
cool
name.
What
we
did
was
we
produced
a
website
with
over,
like
22
different
logos,
and
then
we,
you
know
we
had
names
on
all
of
them.
People
voted
and
it
was
really
cool
to
see.

You
know
the
team,
even
though
they
don't
talk
to
each
other
every
day
about
these
ideas
that
there
was
still
some
underlying
truth
of
what
everyone
wanted,
and
it
was
cool
to
see
that
so
we'll
get
back
to
that
later.
The
this
this
relationship
with
textile
after
doing
the
prototype,
is
probably
one
of
the
things
that
makes.

think
the
defining
moment
for
what
we're
working
on
the
people
at
texas
are
geniuses
like
hands
down
and
they're,
not
afraid
to
work
on
top
of
an
alpha
stack,
you
know
or
something
new
and
build
like
software,
that's
actually
fairly
reliable
and
to
give
you
some
context
like
I
did
some
uploads
of
amazon,
s3
and
use.
You
know
their
libraries,
and
you
know,
amazon
has
a
ton
of
features
and
the
libraries
support
a
ton
of
things,
but
just
using
textile's
bucket
api
of
the
hub.

goodness
it
was,
it
was
so
simple,
so
we're
gonna
go
into
a
lot
of
detail
here,
but
really
want
to
highlight
that
text.
Working
text
is
amazing
and
if
you
haven't
even
looked
at
their
stuff,
yet
I
highly
recommend-
and
I'm
happy
to
chat
about
anything
that
they
do.
It's
a
lot
of
really
good
stuff,
and
so
the
plan
in
june
2020
was
to
use
textile
services,
and
so
we
had
built
that
filecoin
client
prototype
and
it
was
really
easy
to
integrate
it
offline
with
powergate
and
that's
aaron's
work
powergate's.

in

june
15
2020
we
were
still
planning
on
going
full
powergate
and
powergate
provided
means
to
do
file,
coin
storage
deals
and
what
we
relied
on
was
local
files.
So
we
had
a
node
server
and
we
had
user
directory.
That
was
local
and
you
sort
of
files
there,
and
then
we
store
files
in
memory.
You
know
there
would
be
a
lot
of
things
that
would
lead
to
a
big
change,
but
the
model
model
for
this
is
actually
fairly
simple.

drafted
up
a
really
simple
model,
which
is
you
know?
You
have
your
offline
storage.
You
have
your
token
and
your
directory
and
gosh,
I'm

The

is
really
throwing
me

have

token

then
we
have
textiles
powergate,
which
is
a
listing
of
all
the
deals.

coin
file
system,
which
is
probably

most
important
part,
the
wallet
and
the
peers-
and
this
was
a

was
so
happy
to
work
with
such
a
simple
model,
and
this
is
really
because
underneath
the
hood
there's
a
lot
going
on,
but
for
developers
this
is
a
dream.
Come
true,
you
just
need
a
token
to
move
forward,
and
so
you
know
I
started
doing
crazy
machinations.

my
own
mind,
and
I
was
like
okay
well,
you

now
you
have
client

you
have

what,

we
had
a
directory
that
we
kept
local

an
index
and
then
you
can
send
file
between
people
and
you

whenever
someone
makes
a
storage
deal,
you
could

see
the
deals
that
come
from
our
product
and
then
from
our
product.
We
know
that
it's
a
reliable
deal
because
you
don't
have
a
deal
of
garbage
data
from
the
network.

they're,
like
gamble,
you
know,
you

from
a
product
that
you
can
verify
is,
like
you
know
honest
about
what
it's
uploading
to
the
network.
You
know
you
could
probably
retrieve
those,
and
we
could
have
a
really
cool
experience
around
this,

got
really
excited
so.
The
first
thing
I
did
was,
after
all,
that
falcon
client
prototyping
work
and
all
of
you
know
the
the
planning
around
integration.
I
decided
to
go
into
a
design
system.

you
have
your
user,
which
is
your
browser,
your
client
one
moment
you
have
your.
You
have
your
token
right,
which
is
provided
by
textile
services,
and
you
have
your
deals,
your
filecoin
file
system
and
your
wallet
and
getting
getting
this
model
out
there.
This
really
simple
one
out
there.
I
think
this
will
allow
a
lot
of
people
to
start
becoming
like
hobbyists
with
this
thing
like
okay,
I
can
follow
this.

It
needs
some
more
maintenance,
but
you
know
this
was
an
easy
way
for
people
in
hackafest
to
kind
of
like
build
a
gui
for
the
first
time
without
having
to
know
any
of
the
the
styling
rules,
and
this
also
was
a
huge
opportunity
in
what
led
to
a
lot
of
the
community
contributing
and
getting
involved
with
the
falcon
client.
And
this
is
what
made
my
year
because
you
started
realizing
that
there
were
people
internationally
who
cared
about
file
coin,
and
you
know
daniel
here
who
it's
just
awesome
and
just
jumped
in
built.

But
for
you
know,
testing
purposes,
it's
it's
it's
it's
good
for
learning
and
then
you
can
make
it
more
secure
later,
and
so
it
was
awesome
that
you
know
there's
people
that
I
haven't
actually
had
a
chance
to
work
with
directly
outside
of
a
mentoring
capacity.
Kind
of
just
jump
in
and
we
had
a
lot
of
different
use
cases
so
create
a
file
coin
address
this
made,
making
a
falcon
address,
something
that
was
less
nebulous.

Less
kind
of
you
know
it
just
wasn't.
You
know
before,
like
if
you,
if
you
just
said
to
someone
on
the
street
like
make
a
falcon
address,
you
know
they
wouldn't
even
know
where
to
start.
They
don't
have
a
visual
model
for
it.
So
we
provided
like
a
really
simple
thing:
it's
like
you
know.
You
only
need
a
name.
You
only
need
to
type,
and
you
know
we
just
when
you
know
if
it's
your
default
address
or
not
simple
and
the
code
is
on
the
right
again.

know
same
thing
with
looking
at
wallet
balances.
We
want
to
get
into
this
most
simplest
form.
Any
other
engineer
could
go
and
make
a
much
more
complicated
version.
That's
great
like
that.
That'd
be
the
best
case
for
us.
If
you
were
to
make
a
better
component,
you
know
by
making
that
first
stride,
we
were
hoping
that
people
would
kind
of.
You
know
be
like
oh
yeah
like
this
is
simple.
I
can
do
more,
and
you
know,
storage
and
retrieval
deals.

idea
that
was
in
you
know
the
the
ether
that
wasn't
like
super
clear
everyone
that
looked
like
we
had.
We
had
done
some
simple
mocks
of
that
and
showed
off
the
code
for
that
and
today.
Actually
the
code
has
gotten
a
lot
simpler.
So

if
you
are
curious
about
any

these
examples,
I
can

didn't
really
exploit
this,
but
it
was
kind
of
like
an
opportunity
for
someone
else
to
kind

jump
in

they
wanted

that

contribution

want

work

lot

peer

who

teamwork

the
dreams

we
want

things

learn
with
other
people
in
parallel.

think

people
can
watch
each
other's
backs
and
they
can
all
learn
together
and
share
insights.

be

to
find
alone,

so
I

start

a
diverse
team
at
the
very
beginning,

really
grateful

the

who
have
come

branding

we
became
slate

slate
was
a
choice
about

names.

Slate
would
have
been
named,

which
is,

think,
kind
of
cool.

thought
the
name
was
always
neat
but
slate,
I
think,
beat
it
out
by
a
few
votes
and
andrew
at
the
time
suggested.
I
integrate
buckets
into
slate,
and
this
was
like
a
huge
turning
point
to
you
know
slate,
because
before,
if
you
you
know
in
the
previous
slides,
you
saw,
the
model
was
so
simple.
It
was
just
you
know,
user
token
and
like
a
few
functions,
but
when
we
brought
could
bring
in
buckets,
I
realized.

goodness.

access
to
ipfs
gateways
now
and
we
can
do
retrieval
in
the
browser
in
a
really
cool
way,
and
so

was
able

integrate
buckets
locally

19th
and

falcon
client,

so
a
lot
changed
there
and

realized
textile

were
perfect
for
what
we
wanted.

you
were
to
look
at
this
without
any
code
reference,
but
you

you

at
textiles.
Api
is
just
so
simple
like
you
have
you
need
your
private
key.
We
generate
a
little
pdp
token
for
you
as
a
user.

even
know
what
that
is,
and
you
got
buckets
with
key
info
authenticate
with
two
secrets
and
then
you
can
get
the
bucket
constructor
and
then
boom.
I
can
just
make
an

away
call
for
buckets.list
and
in
this
case
I'm
just
removing
all
the
users
buckets.
So
writing
a
method
like
this
is
only
five
lines
of
code
and
as
long
as
you,
you
know
have
some
understanding
of
what's
going
on.

it
becomes
fairly
simple
here.

tokens
ability
and
then
you

authenticate
with
buckets
and
then
you
set
up
threads
and
then
you
can
do
buckets
and
sell
this.
So
we
we
were,

we
took,
I
think,
like
people
start

those
complex
models,
but
the
power
of
using
textile
services
that
once
you
have
that
complex
model,
you
can
really
get
somewhere
a
lot
more
simpler,
and
so
it
was
time
to
have
a
core
team.

group
of
people
that
were
contributing
full-time

have
been
contributing
to
our
design
system.
We
had
a
large
pool
of
people
who
were
interested,
and
I
still
remember
the
first
commits
of
everyone
on

move

surprise

aspect
is
the

only
issue

transfer
for
large
files,

problem
that
everyone
experiences

culprit

about

timeouts

timeouts

memory
to

large
file
transfers

hard.

already
has

the
intersection
fundamentally
is
different.

don't
want

lights
to
be

close
to
