first
area
of
focus,
of
course,
is
on
evaluating
the
energy
use
of
the
filecoin
network
itself
and,
through
this
work,
we're
incredibly
proud
to
say
that
we've
made
filecoin
the
world's
most
transparent,
major
blockchain.
When
it
comes
to
electricity
use,
secondly,
we've
done
a
ton
of
work
on
connecting
the
fog
one
network
to
renewable
energy,
and
the
primary
implication
of
this
work
is
that
very
very
soon,
every
sp,
across
the
entire
network
will
be
able
to
prove
exactly
where
and
how
much
renewable
energy
is
being
generated
to
store
client
data.

to
cover
those
first
two
today,
but
really
want
to
focus
on
those
second
two,
and
on
the
next
slide,
you
can
focus
there
yeah
exactly
on
the
work
that
we've
done
in
supporting
storage
providers.
Now
we
really
think
it's
important
to
develop
tools
and
guidance
to
support
sps,
because
you
know
decarbonizing
operations
is
really
no
easy
feat
and,
as
a
storage
provider,
you
already
got
a
lot
of
things
on
your
mind
and
we
don't
want
to
over
burden
you
with
anything
else.

we've
really
spent
a
lot
of
time
developing
detailed
guidance,
which
is
intended
to
identify
and
define
several
best
practices
for
greenhouse
gas
accounting
for
procuring
renewable
energy
in
a
slew
of
related
topics.
In
order
to
suggest
how
storage
providers
should
approach
sustainable
operations
and
we're
actively
working
with
a
number
of
storage
providers
and
are
always
willing
and
able
to
you
know,
engage
with
more
storage
providers
to
help
them
move
towards
a
more
sustainable
future
and
decarbonize
their
operations.

there
is
a
demand.

is
a
market
for
sps
to
come
and
bid.
This
is
our
first
first
month,
progress
in

been

hasn't
been

seen

lot
of
sps
that
have
come
to
our
platform
actually
are
repeated
users
right
now,
and
this
sp
economics
showed
that
you
know
as
long
as
your
cost
of
capital
to
get
the
additional
field
for
pledging
is
not
exorbitantly
high.

come
out
ahead
in
terms
of
like
storing
hundred
plus
100
failed
plus
deal
compared
to
zero
percent
failed
plus
so
yeah.

really
want
to
talk
about.
I
want
to
spend
most
of
this

big
data
exchange
help
sp
right.
We
help
them
primarily
because
number
one,
I
think,
every
sp
out
there.
They
are
looking
for
more

data,
bigger
data,
and
when
you
come
to
big
data
exchange,
you
can
look
for
something
that
fits
you.
You
know
the
different
sizes
they're
different.

guess
data
sets
yeah,
and
you
know
you
don't
need
to
build
your
internal
bd
team
to
source
your
clients
and
you
just
focus
on
what
you
do
best,
which
is
a
store
store
data.
This
might
not
be
that
relevant
to
very
big
sps,
who
have
like
very
big
team
together
source
for
data,
because
your
cost
per
data
may
be.
You
know
economical,
but
for
a
small
team,
this
cost
per
to
get
a
client,
maybe
may
not
make
it
that
economical.

So
essentially,
this
is
kind
of
evens
out
the
playing
field
for
smaller
sp
and
also
earlier
I
mentioned
you
know
you
get
to
have
efficient
usage
or
selling
and
storage
hardware,
because
every
time
they
become
available,
you
can
come
to
big
data
exchange
and
sort
of
bid
on
demand.
Because,
right
now
we
also
wrote
a
new
feature
which
is
like
get
it
now
feature,
so
you
don't
have
to
wait
seven
days
or
you
know,
for
the
auction
to
end.

Another
reason
why
sp
is
beneficial
for
sp
to
come
to
big
data
exchange
is
that
you
actually
build
up
a
reputation
matrix,
which
is
very
important
for
web
3
data
service
marketplace.
I'll
just
give
you
one
example.
You
know
right
now.
If
your
bandwidth
is
very
very
high
very
very
fast,
you
could
potentially
bid
a
lower
price
and
you
will
still
end
up
getting
chosen
by
certain
clients
who
value
the
speed
over
the
price.
So
all
these
metrics
will
come
come.

guess,
as
you
build
up
this
matrix,
it
will
help
to
lower
your
your
production
and
marketing
costs
and
then
the
third
thing
is
something
we've
started
to
see
already,
which
is
the
mobilization
of
resources
teams,
capital
right
capital.

it
happen?
We're
talking
we're
hearing
from
asp
that
hey,
I
don't
want
to
pay
so
much
get
it
locked
up
or
I
need
all
this
fuel
for
pledging.
So
now
we
are
talking
about.
Perhaps
that
could
be
financing
program.

can
bid
now
and
pay
later,
so
there
are
ideas
coming
out
and
I
think
there
will
be
capital
that
can
flow
into
to
make
this
a
more
efficient
marketplace,

earlier
we

heard
about
sailing
as

service
right

selling
a
service,
so
they
can
come
in.
Basically,
everyone
will
be
more
dedicated
to
their
specialized
function,
making
this
this
supply
chain
of
storing
data,
a
more
efficient
process.

big
data
exchange
does
apply
for
data
cap,
but
this
is
only
a
short-term
thing
because
we're
trying
to
match
the
amount
of
supply,
ultimately,
whatever
proceed,
we
get
we'll
be
donating

to

long
run,
we
want
to
play
the
role
of
a
middleman,
a
platform
to
match
all
kinds
of
services
within
the
falcon
marketplaces.

goal

to
guarantee
permanence
of

onboard

the
slingshot
program.

approach

we
incentivize
people
to
act
as
clients
or
act
as
on
behalf
of
data
owners,
evergreen
takes
the
angle
of
instead
presenting
a
deal
engine
that
has
a
known
list
of
cids
that
it
is
interested
in
giving
deal
proposals
for
so
this
is
primarily
an
sp
driven
program
with
a
pull-based
deal.

onboarded
so

are
to
take
slingshot

the
next
level,
where

instead
of
engaging

preparer

is
to
download
process
the
data
turn
it
into
car
files
effectively
and
then
track
the
metadata
of
those
car
files
and
distribute
them
to
sps
that
will
build
replicas
from
them.
Similarly,
to
evergreen,
this
works
as
a
sp
driven
deal
engine
based
replication
mechanism,
so
data
preparers
are
still
responsible
for
like
clarification
and
sharing
of
those
car
files.
