Description
La charla busca provocar una conversación sobre la necesidad de espacios de fabricación local para gestionar necesidades hiperlocales dentro del contexto de la pandemia de COVID-19 en Puerto Rico como ejemplo. Durante la pandemia, Tredé fabricó y donó PPE, realizaron proyectos para la bifurcación de ventiladores y diseñaron hisopos fabricados con impresión 3D para la realización de pruebas moleculares. Tambien colaboró con instituciones en Colombia, Panamá y Venezuela. Incluye una mirada al proceso de diseño, validación y colaboración con la comunidad médica y colaboraciones internacionales.
A
A
A
And
all
this
It's
all
mismanagement,,
let's
say
in
terms
of
government,
mismanagement
and
things
that
we
found
out
over
time
last
year.
In
the
summer
there
were
some
protests,
I
think
that
they
were
historical,
not
in
history.
ia
of
Puerto
Rico,
and
that
eventually
led
to
the
resignation
of
the
current
government
and
at
that
moment,
that
la
rica,
la
rosilla
and
well,
we
inaugurated
2020
with
some
tremors
that
had
several
tremors,
especially
in
the
southwestern
area
of
Puerto
Rico.
A
The
southwest
of
Puerto
Rico
was
the
area
that
was
most
affected
by
the
tremors,
but
those
that
were
at
least
stronger
were
felt
almost
throughout
the
island
,.
But
we
are
relatively
small
And
in
this
context,
well,.
The
issue
of
the
pandemic,
also
arises,,
no,
and
I,
want
to
pause
to
talk
a
bit
about
the
global
context
of
what
was
happening,,
but
we
know
that
it
appears
in
Kobe,,
especially
in
China,,
and
because
it
started
in
China,.
A
Internet
was
filled
with
countless
products
of
ideas
from
people
who
were
constantly
innovating
and
sharing
in
an
open
source.
Way.
These
innovations
became
the
context
of
Puerto
Rico
.
Since,
the
end
of
January
or
February,
we
had
money.
This
is
what
we
do.
We
have
traditional
printers..
The
designers
are
We,
kept
an
eye
on
all
these
things
and
all
these
patterns
that
we
were
seeing
and
trying
to
identify
what
potentially
we
and
we
are
going
to
need
as
well,
and
we
realized
that
he
called
in
common
truth.
A
What
is
almost
abbot
were
facebook,
and
so
we
began
to
do
tests
and
There
is
a
phrase,.
There
is
a
phrase
that
I
really
like,
I
think
it
came
up
during
Hurricane
Maria,.
There
is
a
phrase
from
Don
that
says
the
people
are
only
the
people,
save
the
people,,
and
we
felt
that
this
was
potentially
going
to
be
our
moment
for
this
post,
right?
A
And,
perhaps
to
be
able
to
help
in
the
way
that
we
can
by
returning
to
the
government
context,
for
example,,
we
had
a
health
secretary
who
had
some
expressions
where
he
said
that
Puerto
Rico
does
not
have
to
worry
about
the
cubit,
because
we
do
not
have
direct
flights
from
China,.
So
obviously,
when
you
hear
those
things,
well,,
you
know
that
you
have
to
prepare
yourself,
because
it
will
be
in
our
hands
to
be
able
to
to
be
able
to
prepare
ourselves
and
through
the
projects
we
did,.
We
worked
on
everything
a
bit,.
A
We
also
enjoyed
working
with
one
with
a
doctor.
Here
in
Puerto
Rico,,
we
managed
to
revalidate
that
the
photo
is
on
the
left,,
although
it
is
never
used
now,
and
we
hope
that
it
is
not
necessary
to
use
them,
but
we
also
want
to
be
prepared.
There
is
no
passion
like
us
that
we,
our
study,
has
become
the
benchmark,
always
focused
on
Puerto
Rico.
We
wanted
to
investigate
and
develop.
These
things
that
are
ready
is
what
we
worked.
The
most
was
facebook,
as
is
known
the
pp
that
are
these
plastic
lenses.
Throughout
everything
we
did.
A
We
can
impact
some
220
medical
institutions.
We
made,
we
reached
10,000
donations,
someone
we
were
not
selling.
This
was
simply
you
can
try
to
do
our
bit.
There
is
no
support
to
all
health
professionals,
who
were,
let's
say
on
the
front
lines
with
the
theme
of
the
pandemic
ia,
and
in
that
sense
it
also
occurred
because,
apart
from
the
fact
that
we
are
collaborating
with
him-
and
he
was
the
collector
and
all
of
us-
is
a
government
research
and
science
entity,
because
basically
they
are
covering
what
the
raw
material,
the
raw
material
costs
are.
A
We
put
our
equipment
and
Our
expertise
is
true
and
over
time
we
also
worked
on
a
piece
of
some
groups
that
are
developing
fans,.
It
was
also
very
important
that
the
starting
point
was
the
fan
or
to
think
it
was
published
in
Haiti,.
However,
many
of
the
pieces
that
they
used
were
not
the
material.
It
was
not
available,,
it
was
not
accessible
or
it
was
more
expensive,.
We
simply
do
not
have
the
equipment
to
be
able
to
manufacture
them,
or
they
were
difficult
to
obtain,.
A
There
were
always
such
adaptations,,
not
since
I
had
the
project
to
think
that
the
one
who
forgets
the
starting
point,
because
it
always
had
to
be
fully
tested,
always
had
to
always
make
modifications
change
in
ma
materials.
Trying
to
make
the
materials
that
I
have
available,
how
I
can
adapt
the
design
now
to
what
I
have
and
finally,
the
last
thing
we
worked
on,.
Well,
we
also
made
some
eyes
for
the
molecular
programs.
A
At
some
point,
a
shortage
of
the
swab,
not
that
the
piece
is
inserted
through
the
nose
to
be
able
to
do
the
test,
and
we
saw
that
they
were
also
innovating,
a
new
design
that
is
being
made
with
train
printing.
That
did
not
need
cotton
on
the
tip.
The
reason
for
trying
to
eliminate
The
cotton
is
that
it
will
be
what
complicates
the
manufacture
of
the
swab
and
well,.
If
we
can
do
it
in
one
piece
against
and
printing
and
what
will
happen
with
the
defense
evidence,,
it
was
possible,.
They
could
also
self-.
A
Manage
these
things
to
talk
a
little
about
the
schedule,
not
in
the
term
t
with
the
date
of
these
things,
as
I
told
you
in
February,
was
when
we
were
Doing
all
of
this,,
all
of
the
development
research,
well,.
What
other
countries
were
doing
trying
to
replicate
that
result
of
Puerto
Rico,?
We
were
also
doing
original
designs
of
ours,.
We
also
tried
to
organize
what
was
a
comfort
makers
,.
We
communicated
through
social
networks
with
people
who
had
3d
printers
and
who
would
like
to
unify
the
initiative
and
help
us
increase
daily
manufacturing
capacity,.
A
So
they
send
us
the
parts
of
our
delivery
services
so
that
they
have
unity
on
March,
15,
2009,
because
then
they
declared
a
closure,
a
government
closure,
and
just
a
week
later,
we
began
to
manufacture
what
was
the
medical
protective
equipment.
We
were
able
to
validate
that.
Indeed,
there
was
a
shortage
of
these
products
from
these
houses
to
be
able
to
protect
health
professionals,
and
that's
why
we
developed
it
and
little
little
by
little
we
were
optimizing
and
we
were
perhaps
at
the
rate
of
that
we
donate
like
a
thousand
face
just
every
two
weeks.
A
We
managed
to
optimize
little
by
little
that
time
as
we
were
making
changes
in
the
design
etc.
throughout
that
time,
because
we
also
managed
to
collaborate
outside
of
puerto
rico.
We
collaborate
with
people
in
colombia.
We
collaborate
with
people
in
panama,
venezuela,
And
then,
around
August,.
We
brought
the
innovations
here,.
A
We
have
plans,,
send
us
photos,
people
who
receive
the
faces
in
emergency
rooms,
people
who
were
working
directly
with
positive
patients,
people
who
were
on
your
patient
side
or
doing
tests,
etc.,
and
being
in
the
party
It,
was
really
gratifying
to
see
that
the
work
we
were
doing,,
especially
since
we
were
not
really
selling
it,,
was
very
gratifying
to
see
that
it
was
getting
where
it
had
to
go
and
that
it
was
helping
a
little
by
contributing
to
protect
what
was
the
first
line
of
defense,.
But
This
is
partly
what
I
want
to
emphasize..
A
I
think
that,
in
the
importance
of
what
he
was
bell
to
the
open
source
community
is
porsche
disassociate
from
the
neighborhood
profit
motive.
I
made
a
facebook
I'm
going
to
retain
it
and
I'm
going
to
try
to
sell
it
and
get
money
from
it.
However,
I
think
the
amount
of
designs
that
brought
the
internet
closer
our
design
was
based
on
a
swedish
designer
eric
feferberg.
A
He
made
see
the
end
of
this
first
iteration
that
the
left
part
of
the
screen
comes
and
based
on
that
we
were
making
the
modifications,
because,
throughout
the
process,
we
had
We
realized
that
health
professionals
didn't
care
about
something
because,
having
their
own
opinion
about
the
design
wanted
to
make
suggestions
on
how
to
improve
it.
Then.
We
had
what
the
National
Institute
of
Health
in
the
US,,
where
they
already
began
to
validate,
and
indeed
this
design
worked,
and
they
began
to
validate
true
in
designs
and
look.
Facebook
country
printing
was
being
done
then
use
this.
A
And
the
least
we
have
thought
about
what
we
do,
what
we
do
with
all
this.
It
was
very
gratifying
for
us
because
it
raised
a
lot
of
attention.
Not
only
the
valleys
interviewed
us
I
think
almost
all
the
newspapers
in
Puerto
Rico
the
press,
television,
and
that
was
key
so
that
then
the
health
professionals
they
found
out
what
we
were
doing
and
that
they
will
then
contact
us
to
be
able
to
manage
these
facebook
and
these
things
with
these
different
projects.
A
Many
of
them
also
asked
us
for
other
types
of
ideas
such
as
facebook
for
babies,
because
they
were
also
in
the
environment.
The
world
keeps
running
I,
don't
know
too.
They
were
making
baby
had
other
ideas
for
different
masks
identifiable
and
that's
how
we
eventually
got
through
the
swabs
and
for
us
I
think
it
was
a
milestone
to
have
reached
hertz
magazine.
A
That
also
came
and
did
not
interview
and
manage
so
I
did
a
bit
it
expanded
to
the
US
and
in
fact
they
are
taking
place
some
projects
also
with
people
who
have
seen
the
team
that
they
have
not
contacted
prefer
that
they
look
for
what
we
learned.
What
I
do
now
with
all
this,
with
all
these
contacts
with
so
many
things
that
he
was
doing
to
us
and
I
have
always
been
a
faithful
believer
that
you
cannot
create
a
business
resilient
that
generates
profits
for
each
time.
A
It
can
add
value
to
the
community
where
we
live
to
a
business
that
can
lead.
This
pop
will
not
be
missing,
and
it
is
very
interesting
because
at
first
I
am
all
the
context
of
what
Hurricane
Maria
was
because
during
Maria
I
think
that
It
was
a
very
frustrating
time
for
us
as
a
company,
because
we
also
have
other
ideas
and
needs
that
perhaps
we
could
have
covered.
to
with
our
with
our
expertise
and
with
tri
printing,
but
nevertheless
we
didn't
have
energy.
We
weren't
as
well
prepared
as
we
were
now.
A
We
can't
run
the
machines.
We
don't
have
internet
access,
and
at
that
moment,
when
we
realized
that
the
software
we
used
to
design
had
to
being
constantly
connected
to
understand.
But
I
think
it
was
also
an
experience
where
we
learned
not,
and
we
made
enough
changes
there
when
we
got
to
engine
that
it
is
a
shared
work
space
that
has
a
power
plant
that
has
very
good
internet
speed.
A
That
has
access
to
certain
collaborates
with
There
are
many
companies,,
both
private
and
non-profit,
and
I
find
it
interesting
because
I
think
that,
having
learned
that
from
María
and
at
the
age
of
23,,
almost
three
years,,
two
years,,
that
we
had
to
make
the
changes
that
we
made
to
be
better
prepared
for
the
future,.
Then
it
put
us
in
a
much
more
positive
position
because
they
generate
all
this
impact
than
what
works.
A
Let's
stop
now
during
the
pandemic
and
well
talking
about
all
this,
and
what
do
I
do
now,,
not
after
the
medical
industry
entered,
as
they
say,,
where
I
believe
that
countless
health
professionals
and
doctors,,
not
only
in
Puerto
Rico
but
in
the
world,,
can
say
that
they
have
received.
They
received
a
product
made
with
printing
3
when
I
needed
it
most,
and
that
indeed
worked
and
what
we
do
now.
A
The
medical
industry
is
very
complicated
to
enter
true,
but
but
for
many
years,
I
did
not
have
many
ideas
of
other
products,
other
services
that
we
could
do
with
the
technology
that
we
work
with
and
as
the
quote
says,,
we
did
not
realize
that
precisely
this
capacity
that
we
had
to
design
quickly
to
innovate
that
manufactures
in
the
tree
printing
allows
you
not
to
marry
a
single
design.
If
we
could
manufacture
facebook
of
a
product,
give
it
to
a
professional
using.
A
It
would
give
us
feedback
and
then
not
make
or
adapt
that
adaptation
by
adapting
their
comments
years
is
not
to
make
recommendations
and
apply
it.
So
then
they
simply
change
the
codes
in
all
the
machines
and
at
noon.
I
already
have
a
new,,
more
efficient
product
manufacturing
like
this
and
here
and
of
course,
we
have
done
that
for
8
years
in
Puerto,
Rico,
but
I
think
that
it
was
at
this
moment
where
we
really
reached
the
epitome
of
saying
wow.
This
is
very
powerful.
A
What
we
can
do
and
we
take
advantage,
but
it
must
have
raised
all
this
all
this
information.
All
this
knowledge,
all
these
contacts,
and
so
now
we
are
running
an
initiative
within
what
is
the
medical
industry
that
we
are
working
with,,
a
christ
disc,,
a
hospital
where
we
are
with
information
from
cities,
cannes
or
smart
rice,.
The
portal
itself
is
an
example,,
a
patient
who
has
a
pelvic
fracture,
with
the
information
from
that
cities.
Can
we
can
create
a
tangible
model,?
A
Then
the
kaiser,
a
doctor
and
the
doctor
can
plan
meval
intervention
can
communicate
to
our
Work
teams,
can
take
that
model
of
the
patient
and
explain
to
them,
look
what
happened,.
This
is
what
we
are
going
to
do,.
This
is
fixed
in
such
and
such
a
way,
apart
from
other
benefits,,
because
if
they
go
to
the
operating
room,
better
planned,
it
reduces
operating
time
and
It
is
much
more
likely
that
what
to
do
will
turn
out
well,.
A
There
is
less
margin
for
error
and
there
are
also
specialized
materials
that
we
are
looking
at,
where
I
can
create,
for
example,.
This
fracture
is
a
material
very
similar
to
what
would
be
the
bone,.
The
wave
or
bone
matter.
and
I
can
practice
on
the
cutting
practice.
I
can
do
implant
implementation
practice
and
all
that
and
I
think
that
we
definitely
would
not
have
been
able
to
achieve
what
we
are
working
on
right
now,,
if
not,
if
we
had
not
had
that
first
stage,
that
I
have
just
explained
to
you.
A
And
we
are
also
collaborating.
This
is
not
necessarily
an
initiative
directly
from
us,
but
we
are
working
with
a
company
that
has
Puerto.
Rico
has
been
a
distributor
of
security
equipment
for
almost
30
years
and
I
believe
that
during
the
pandemic,
they
took
that
step
of
not
getting
it
in
1995,
people
were
using
the
prices
with
the
little
that
appears
or
they
are
buying
masks
that,
in
reality,
are
not.
They
are
of
the
quality
that
should
continue
to
open
my
face.
A
If
this
initiative
arises
then
create
perhaps
the
first
n95
mask
factory
in
puerto
rico
that
is
currently
running.
They
are
about
to
be
certified
at
night
and
we
have
helped
a
little
obviously,
with
the
experience
that
We
bring
as
designers
and
work
with.
All
these
quality
control
processes
is
to
submit
certifications,
,
laboratory
tests,,
all
these
things,
and
well,,
something
that
we
are
quite
involved
with
now,,
although
it
is
not
really
a
business
directly
from
us,,
but
it
would
be
that
collaboration
too.
A
And
nothing.,
basically,
I
always
tell
people.
Sometimes
they
ask
me
for
food,
and
you
think
that
And,
how
did
this
come
about,?
How
did
they
start,
and
I?
Think
there
is
a
quote
that
I
really
like
that
says.
Things
only
make
sense
with
also
going
backwards,
and
I.
Think
that
having
done
this
initiative
in
Puerto
Rico
and
how
it
has
evolved,,
there
is
no.
There
is
a
kind
of
pivot
and
we
are
going
with
our
inclusive
business
model
until
we
can
implement
a
new
service,.
A
Although
we
were
not
thinking
about
that
at
first,,
we
did
everything
simply
for
help
and
we
saw
how
it
was
gaining
attraction
and
people
came
and
wanted
to
join.
The
initiative
wanted
to
help
People
with
a
printer,
also
asked
us
for
our
designs,
so
that
in
manufacturing
it
no
longer
reaches
many
people.
They
communicated
how
I
can
cooperate,
how
I
help
them?
How
strong,
when
donations,
how
I
make
it
known
that
they
need
ebay
like
this,
for
how
did
it
evolve?
What
collaborations
have
been
Given
projects
that
we
are
working
on
now,?
A
They
are
also
very
young
now
and
I
cannot
include
it
in
the
discussion..
It
seems
excellent
to
me
and
I
like
to
talk
about
all
this,
because
someone
is
like
an
invention
right
now.
I
think
it
is
possible
to
create
a
perfect
balance
where
one
can
also
after
donating
their
time,
have
their
knowledge.
Their
team
will
help
others
and
will
remain
at
the
end
of
the
day.
Well,
they
also
become
business
opportunities.
Is
that
it
helps
you
grow
your
business
and
develop
and
discover
new
services
and
products,
so
nothing
ended
with
that.
A
Here
is
my
information.
If
you
have
questions,
you
can
wait
for
me
longer
to
register
a
level
in
confidence,
and
you
can
write
on
the
social
network
where
I
am
most
active,.
You
can
also
look
for
three
on
facebook,
instagram,
twitter,
and
apart
from
my
interest
in
participating
in
this,
to
continue
collaborating
with
the
Latino
community,
collaboration,
both
in
Latin
America
and
the
US,.
Come
in,
I
'm
very
willing
to
do
this,
so
nothing.
Thank
you
very
much
for
listening.
