A
Hello,
everyone
and
welcome
to
this
short
demo
on
code
suggestions.
My
name
is
Niha
kovadiker
and
I'm.
The
product
manager
here
at
gitlab
for
AI,
assist
and
I'm
very
excited
to
show
you
how
to
enable
code
suggestions
in
vs
code,
let's
jump
in
into
our
Visual
Studio
code
instance
we're
going
to
get
started
first
by
installing
the
gitlab
workflow
extension
I'm
going
to
go
in
and
install
this
extension
once
it
has
been
installed.
The
next
step
is
to
add
a
gitlab
account
and
set
up
a
personal
access.
A
It
read
API
and
read
user
access.
Let's
generate
this
token,
once
it
has
been
generated
copy
the
token
and
navigate
back
to
your
vs
code
extension
and
paste
this
in
here
now
that
this
has
been
created.
Please
know
that
the
code
suggestions
can
be
only
enabled
for
gitlab
projects.
At
the
moment
you
can
easily
go
to
the
extension
settings
in
order
to
check
if
your
code
completion
is
turned
on
and
off
voila.
Now
you
can
open
your
any
gitlab
project
in
vs
code
and
start
getting
code
completions
for
any
newly
created
or
existing
files.
A
The
GitHub
vs
code
extension
is
responsible
for
auto
completion
at
any
given
user
prompt,
depending
on
the
prompt.
The
extension
either
provides
entire
code
Snippets
like
generating
function
or
completes
the
current
line
and
by
simply
pressing
the
Tab
Key.
You
can
accept
the
suggestions.
The
extension
also
provides
completion
in
targeted
files
without
analyzing
file,
extensions
or
other
files
in
the
Repository.
