A
Hey
everyone
welcome
to
the
gitlab
heroes,
steering
committee
meeting
for
May
of
2020.
My
name
is
John
Coghlan
I'm,
the
Evangelist
program
manager
at
gate,
lab
and
I
have
some
of
our
hero.
Steering
committee
members
with
us
here
today
with
that
we'll
just
get
right
into
the
agenda,
so
I
just
wanted
to
start
by
reviewing
a
few
of
the
tasks
that
we
had
from
last
meeting.
A
One
of
my
two
do's
was
checking
about
adding
additional
information
to
the
activity
panel
for
Gitter,
and
you
know
I
just
in
kind
of
exploring
that
a
little
bit
more.
There
is
a
lot
of
information
that
displays
on
hover.
So
when
you
hover
over
the
link
to
you
know
new
issues
you'll
be
able
to
see
the
body
of
those
issues
and
the
like
who
the
issues
assigned
to
I.
Do
we
think
that
that's
enough
for
folks?
B
B
Fine
I
think
I
was
the
person
who
brought
this
up
last
meeting
without
knowing
that
I
can
hold
all
of
us.
So
it's
I
think
it's.
It's
totally
fine.
A
It
would
be
great
to
get
some
folks
feedback
on
that,
like
in
an
asynchronous
way
specifically
like
who
from
gitlab
would
you
would
be
interested
in
kind
of
having
joined?
You
know
the
AMA,
and
then
you
know
the
which
platform
like
whether
it's
on
Gator
or
on
reddit
or
you
know,
like
kind
of
through
video
chat
on
zoom
I,
think
it'd
all
be
options,
so
I
think
it
would
be
good
just
to
kind
of
like
hash
that
out
through
the
issue,
and
then
we
can
move
forward
with
getting
that
scheduled.
C
Don't
think
they
have
like
a
preference
for
like
a
platform
because
I
find
you
know
like
zoom
to
be
fine,
I,
don't
know
about
other
people
who
are
going
to
be
attending.
You
know
like
they
there
so
I
probably
think.
Maybe
it
could
maybe
run
something
within
the
guitar
channel
to
see
if
we
can
get
the
views
of
what
people
think
it
would
be
like
the
most
suitable
channel.
A
So
we
could
try
something
like
that.
Where
you
know
we
collect
channels,
collect
questions
through
a
few
different
channels
and
then
compile
them
into
a
single
doc.
And
then
you
know
either
myself
or
someone
else
could
be
like
a
moderator
and
read
those
questions
out
loud
because
it
might
be
difficult
to
pull
like
the
entire
community
into
a
zoom
call
and
jump
from
person
to
person
it's
like
when
we're
doing
it
at
get
lab
like
the
whole
team.
A
You
know
we
use
them
every
day
and
kind
of
know
like
okay,
my
mic
is
on
I'm,
not
muted.
Now
I'm
gonna
read
the
question,
but
I
think
you
know
for
people
that
maybe
that's
not
as
much
a
part
of
their
routine.
It
could
get
a
little
bit
clunky
and
we
could
burn
time
like
transitioning
from
one
person
to
the
next,
so
I
think
that
could
be.
You
know
if
we
do
it
via
zoom
and
like
in
a
way.
That's
consumable.
A
B
What
about
using
guitar
Swiss
for
the
questions,
but
being
nice
option
to
get
some
some
more
people,
it's
a
channel
yeah
and
then
doing
the
zoom
thing
and
streaming
for
the
attendees
to
youtube.
If
it's
possible
and
then
I
think
at
the
moment,
the
YouTube
stream
integration
in
soon
was
disabled
for
good
luck,
yeah.
A
B
A
A
All
right,
so
it
sounds
like
we
have
some.
You
know
good
ideas
here,
but
it'd
be
great.
If
you
could
spend
some
time
and
comment
on
the
issue
and
let
me
know
what
you
think
is
best
and
then
we
can
also
encourage
other
people.
You
know
for
a
local
community
to
jump
into
the
issue
and
comment
on
that.
A
D
D
D
It
Just's
basic
information
to
about
the
commit,
but
if
you
go
down
to
discussion,
so
I
put
the
girls
to
introduce
github
here's
what
actually
the
goals
for
the
talk.
So
it's
a
give
up.
Panel
discussion,
name
of
the
talk
Trek
was
probably
where
everyone
can
contribute,
but
remote,
but
always
connected,
also
sounds
like
a
good
idea.
The
ghost
introduced
give
up
here
as
program
to
the
word,
promote
heroes,
goals,
find
new
hears
and
promote
here
is
communication
channels,
I
guess
what
we've
been
doing.
D
A
D
B
B
D
C
D
I
put
the
names
of
the
people
there,
as
well,
so
at
least
range
and
contact
details,
so
we
can
yeah
communicated
so
hopefully
so
I
posted
the
document
today.
So
it's
Wednesday
close.
The
call
for
paper
closes
Friday
fifth
of
June,
so
next
Friday
week,
so
probably
by
Monday.
If
we'll
have
four
or
five
people
start
finalizing
the
talkin
submitted
throughout
the
week,
Wednesday
Thursday,
that's
probably
the
plan.
B
A
D
A
C
A
All
right
and
then
the
last
thing
I
wanted
to
kind
of
plug
was
get
lab
heroes
day,
which
is
like
something
that
I
was
thinking
would
be
a
fun
way
to
get
the
whole
community
together
for
a
day
it
could
be.
A
mix
of
you
know
like
presentations
and
group
discussions
and
then,
like
breakout
kind
of
like
one-on-one
conversations,
is
the
format.
I
was
thinking
of
just
to
build
like
a
stronger
sense
of
community
among
our
members.
A
This
is
something
that
we
were
hoping
to
do
in
person
in
conjunction
with
get
lab
commit,
but
unfortunately
we're
gonna
be
doing
commit
or
not,
unfortunately,
with
commits
gonna
be
virtual.
This
year,
so
get
live
heroes
day.
It
will
likely
also
be
virtual,
at
least
for
the
first
iteration
and
then
hopefully
in
the
future.
You
know
as
the
pandemic,
you
know,
as
things
improve
with
the
pandemic,
folks
will
be
able
to
travel
again
and
we
can
try
to
put
together
and
in-person
meeting
for
everyone.
A
So
would
love
feedback
on
this
if
there
have
been
any
virtual
events
that
you've
been
attending
lately
that
you
think
worked
really
well
and
if
you
could
recommend
platforms
that
you
wanted
to
use
or
exercises,
or
you
know,
discussion
topics
or
things
like
that
that
you
participated
in
that
have
been
successful.
I
think
you
know
everything
like
that'll
be
helpful
and
putting
together.
You
know
like
a
pretty
meaningful
day
for
folks.
I
think
the
one
thing
that
gets
tricky
with
des
virtual
events
is
time
zones.
A
So,
if
you
have,
you
know
thoughts
on
that
as
well,
you
know
with
our
own
virtual
contribute
event.
We
did.
You
know
like
a
12-hour
day.
I,
don't
think.
That's
gonna,
be
something
that
we
want
to
do
for
this
group,
but
maybe
we,
you
know,
think
about
doing
pods
or
something
like
that
where
we
have.
You
know
three
kind
of
like
smaller
to
our
agendas
at
you
know
like
in
a
pack
friendly
time
it
you
know
you're
a
friendly
or
me
it's
friendly
time,
and
then
it
u.s.
A
B
So
commit
will
be
pre-recorded,
so
it
won't
be
any
life
session.
So
will
just
be
the
same
for
now.
