From YouTube: Create Code Review JTBD Research Update
A
Hi,
my
name
is
Matt
Harris
I'm,
a
senior
product
designer
for
the
create
code
review
group
here
at
gitlab
and
I'm,
going
to
give
some
updates
on
some
internal
jobs
to
be
done,
research
that
we've
been
carrying
out.
So
basically,
with
this
research,
we
interviewed
six
internal
developers
and
had
them
walk
us
through
their
process
of
code
review
and
as
they
walked
us
through
this
process.
A
A
And
what
this
allowed
us
to
do
was
to
take
things
like
sus,
verbatims
and
research,
insights
and
map
them
into
these
buckets.
So
we
copied
these
buckets
over
to
here
and
we're
able
to
take
a
whole
bunch
of
uncategorized
sus,
verbatims
and
map
them
into
the
different
steps
of
this
job.
And
so
you
can
see
that
the
examine
changes.
Step
of
this
job
has
a
lot
more
feedback
than
some
of
the
other
steps.
A
So
this
this
helps
us
because
this
can
give
us
areas
to
focus
on
can
help
us
better,
pinpoint
more
problematic
areas
of
the
jobs
to
be
done.
A
Continuing
on
with
this
research
I
plan
to
take
past
research,
insights
and
add
those
into
here
as
well
and
honestly,
it
was
super
easy
interviewing.
You
know,
six
internal
folks
only
took
a
few
days
and
then
it
was
another
day
or
two
of
synthesizing
the
information,
and
we
came
up
with
this
really
useful
tool
for
it.
Making
sus
verbatims
and
research
insights
really
actionable
and
mapping
them
back
to
the
job
to
be
done.
