A
Hey
everybody
mike
nichols
senior
product
designer
for
the
editor
group
today,
we're
going
to
be
looking
at
13.3
and
some
of
the
ux
items
that
we're
working
on
in
this
milestone.
So
the
first
one
I
want
to
go
over
is
implementing
web
id
button
in
the
diff
tab.
Merge
request.
A
This
one's
been
open
for
a
while,
and
we
we're
considering
tackling
it
in
this
milestone.
It's
basically
introducing
the
web
id
button
in
the
changes
tab
of
of
a
merge
request.
I
bring
this
one
open,
because
I
think
this
one
I
bring
this
one
up.
So
I
think
this
is
a
interesting
opportunity
for
us
to
collaborate
pedro
if
you're
watching
this.
I
definitely
would
love
your
input
here,
as
this
touches
the
merge
request
and
I
understand
maybe
considering
changing
or
removing
some
other
buttons.
A
So
I
want
to
make
sure
that
this
this
issue
is
in
line
with
the
overall
strategy
there.
A
The
next
one
I
want
to
look
at
is
actually
the
combination
of
two
issues
so
consolidating
the
edit
web
id
buttons
into
a
single
edit
experience.
It's
very
much
related
to
the
survey
on
single
file
versus
web
id,
so
we
spent
a
lot
of
time
considering
in
the
application.
We
have
here's
one
example.
If
you're
in
a
repository
in
a
file
view,
you
have
two
options
here
right
you
have
the
edit
and
the
web
id
button.
The
edit
takes
you
to
what
we
commonly
refer
to
as
a
single
file
editor.
A
A
It's
interesting,
that's
not
loading,
but
in
our
design
pattern
we
have
our
split
drop
down
design
pattern.
This
proposal
is
to
investigate
the
idea
of
combining
the
edit
and
web
ide
buttons
into
a
single
button,
with
a
split
drop
down.
A
I
think
the
interesting
part
of
this
is
where
the
defaults
lie
and
kind
of
the
interaction
of.
If
you
choose
one,
does
it
remember
that
or
do
we
stick
with
the
default
and
also
the
naming
conventions
here
are
interesting,
because
edit
and
web
id
are
kind
of
imply
different
things
when
they're
both
very
much
editing
experience,
so
we'll
be
taking
a
look
at
that
in
this
milestone
and
moving
forward
with
that,
the
last
one
I
want
to
look
at
is
kind
of
a
fun.
One
is
updating
the
snippets
icon
in
the
navigation.
A
So
traditionally,
we've
been
using
this
kind
of
scissors
icon,
which
may
or
may
not
be
conveying
the
overall
idea
of
snippets.
So
the
thought
process
is:
let's
move
towards
an
icon.
That
is
more
code
related.
A
Since
you
know,
snippets
aren't
really
scissors,
it's
really
more
about
kind
of
code
and
code
sharing
and
that
kind
of
stuff.
So
right
now
this
is
the
leader
in
the
clubhouse,
but
being
that
icons
are
largely
subjective,
I
would
love
some
feedback,
especially
since
it's
gonna
show
up
on
this
sidebar
menu,
so
we
all
have
to
see
it
on
a
daily
basis.
So
I
would
love
input
and
feedback
if
folks
have
opinions
on
the
new
icon
choice.
