From YouTube: Create UX Update - 13.1 - Static Site Editor
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Hi
there
my
name
is
Michael
Lea,
the
static
side,
editor
team,
and
what
I'm
going
to
talk
to
you
about
today
is
on
what
we
have
coming
up
planned
for
a
13.1
in
terms
of
things
related
to
the
UX
and
design
side
of
things.
So
the
first
thing
that
we're
going
to
look
at
the
key
theme
were
actually
going
to
look
at
is
we're
starting
to
tackle
non
markdown
content.
A
So
there's
a
whole
list
of
about
20
things
that
the
get
labs,
labored,
markdown
and
currently
supports-
and
we
spent
a
lot
of
time
last
week
as
a
group
discussing
how
we
might
handle
some
in
the
content
as
a
pattern
and
structure
and
now
we're
going
to
take
a
first
steps
towards
helping
people
edit
or
not
edit.
Some
of
those
things
through
our
static
site
editor.
So
the
first
thing-
I'm
gonna,
walk
you
through
right
now
is
how
we're
thinking
about
handling
frontmatter
in
the
editor,
so
frontmatter
for
in
the
markdown
world.
A
Is
this
area
here.
So
usually
it's
at
the
top
of
the
page
and
delineated
with
these
three
dashes
at
the
start
and
end
of
the
block
and
the
kind
of
information
that
is
usually
in
front
manner
is
like
the
title
and
the
layout
and
other
kind
of
information.
That's
helpful
for
the
framework
to
understand
parse
and
to
generate
the
page
when
they
compiles
it
down
to
like
an
HTML
page
from
a
markdown
file.
So
one
of
the
feedback
we
had
from
people
editing
these
files
is.
A
This
is
the
first
thing
that
you
see
when
you
get
into
a
page,
so
the
problem
with
that
is
that
it's
kind
of
foreign
you're
not
really
sure
if
you
should
touch
it
or
what
happens
if
you
touch
it.
So
what
we're
doing
for
this
milestone
is
actually
removing
it
from
being
visible
in
the
editor
view,
and
if
you
need
to
see
it
or
need
to
edit
it,
you
can
go
into
the
source
and
then
view
it
itself.
So
this
is
a
way
we're
trying
to
abstract
away
the
content.
A
The
other
piece
of
content,
like
I
said,
is
thinking
about
how
we
handle
the
term
markdown
content
block.
So
the
engineers
in
the
group
are
figuring
out
ways
of
parsing
the
content,
so
that
each
block
is
of
content
is
possible,
as
is
something
that
can
be
edited
or
shouldn't,
be
edited
in
the
static
site
editor
and
for
others
that
can
be
edited.
A
So
the
first
example
of
this
that
we're
gonna
take
a
look
at
in
supporting
is
images,
so
images
are
very
common
in
the
publishing
of
web
pages
and
sites,
and
especially
in
our
handbook.
So
what
we're
planning
to
do
here
to
reduce
the
scope
of
our
work
is
taking
a
look
at?
How
might
we
make
inserting
images
easier
in
markdown
with
just
a
file,
so
I
might
have
an
existing
file
somewhere
out
there
in
the
internet
somewhere
in
there
different
page
and
I
want
to
add
that
into
my
martel
file.
A
So
this
issue
focus
just
around
that
experience,
because
you
know
adding
an
image
into
your
file.
Not
many
people
remember
that
syntax.
So
we
think
that
this
is
a
good
step
in
MVC
and
in
the
future,
milestone
we'll
start
looking
at
how
we
might
upload
an
image
to
the
correct
place
in
a
repository
and
as
image
so
that
you
can
use
in
the
static
site
editor
so
right
now
we're
just
focusing
on
existing
images
and
inserting
them
as
a
URL
for
this
ticket.
A
We're
gonna
have
some
small
styling
changes
with
it,
toast
UI
trying
to
bring
that
in
line
with
the
get
lab,
experience
and
pajamas,
and
there
are
styling
that
we
have
established
there
and
the
other
thing
that
we're
gonna
start
looking
at
is
not
only
the
flow
of
editing
but
like
starting
to
take
a
look
at
the
downstream
flow.
So
after
you
crank
your
change
and
send
it
for
creating
mr
for
it,
you
actually
need
to
assign
someone
to
actually
merge
the
merged
press
or
review
it.
A
So
one
thing
that
we're
trying
to
look
at
is
how
we
might
use
the
code
owners
files
to
pull
out
who's
directly
who's,
the
directly
responsible,
individual
or
the
DRI
for
that
section,
so
that,
as
a
user
editing,
the
page
that
kind
of
it
hesitation
or
anxious
has
inches.this
about
who
should
I
even
send
this.
To
is
one
step
closer
to
being
made
easier,
so
kind
of
like
I
suggests
so,
and
maybe
this
person
is
kind
of
this
DRI
will
list
their
names
there.
