Description
Dogfooding GitLab for Opportunity Mapping as a Product Manager.
A
Hey
there,
my
name
is
Matthew
I'm,
a
product
manager
in
the
plan
stage
at
gitlab,
specifically
for
the
knowledge
group
focusing
on
the
wiki
pages
and
content
editor
and
today,
I'm,
going
to
provide
some
insight
on
how
I
dog
food,
our
Wiki
and
specifically
the
diagrams.net
integration
with
our
Wiki
for
opportunity.
Mapping.
A
A
As
you
can
see,
we
have
a
nice
looking
opportunity
map
here
traditionally
I've
utilize,
Miro
and
other
outside
tools
outside
of
gitlab
to
do
opportunity.
Mapping,
but
with
our
recent
release
of
this
integration
in
1510,
I'm
really
excited
to
bring
the
opportunity
mapping
specifically
into
our
Wiki
now,
if
you're
already
using
gitlab
for
issues
and
epics,
specifically
for
that
Knowledge
Management
aspect
of
your
workflow
I'm,
further
leveraging
gitlab
Wiki
and
for
opportunity
mapping
notes
product
manager
is
a
nice
way
to
sort
of
tie
it
all
together.
A
There
are
some
limitations,
such
as
lack
of
collaborative
editing,
but
overall
I
found
it
to
be
a
nice
suitable
alternative
to
these
other
opportunity,
mapping
tools
now
in
order
to
zoom
in
a
bit.
You
can
always
click
on
this
right
here.
A
A
A
Actually
let
me
go
to
my
Rich
Text
Editor,
so
we
actually
have
a
rich
text
editor
as
well.
Now,
if
I
click
into
it
and
the
rest
text,
editor
I
can
go
and
edit
the
diagram
it'll
take
me
to
it
and
if
I
want
to
make
a
change,
I
can
just
make
that
change,
and
you
know
save
to
the
wiki.
A
As
you
can
see,
there's
some
limited
functionality.
You
can't
just
write
from
the
wiki
edit,
the
diagram
you
have
to
do
a
few
clicks.
A
This
can
slow
things
down
a
little
bit,
but
ultimately,
once
you're
in
the
diagrams.net
experience
and
you're
utilizing
the
sticky
notes
and
connecting
the
dots
from
solutions
to
problems
to
the
higher
level
vision
of
your
group
stage
or
the
organization,
it's
relatively
similar
to
The
Experience,
you
might
see
in
a
tool
like
mirror
well,
I
hope
you
give
it
a
chance.
It's
not
a
perfect
solution,
but
it
is
a
nice
way
to
dog
food
gitlab,
internally
and
I
hope
folks,
outside
of
gitlab
as
well
enjoy
the
features
that
are
provided
by
this
new
integration.
