Let's see, hey everybody, I am working on this mra sync with another team member and I figured I would record my screen because what we're doing is we have taken a page in the gitlab handbook or actually it's on the company page, and we split that one page into two pages. um So what that did we just?

We just took the content there and it was mission and vision, and we put all the mission related things on a new mission page and all the vision related things on a vision page, but that original page, which was mission and vision, was referenced a few hundred times in the handbook. So I'm just going through and updating all those links. Let me share my screen.

All right, so I just did one big update. I updated.

This link earlier, um I think I updated it. No, I have to do the link that was dash company dash mission and vision dash mission. I updated that to what this path will be.

Because mission now lives on the mission page, so that was one commit I just did, but the mission and vision url still exists. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna find in folder mission and vision.

26 matches, okay and one thing I can see cell mission and vision. Everyone can contribute comes up a few times, so I need to update that and I'd like to do it as a bulk one. The other one that comes up a lot is vision, so those are two updates. I'm going to make just to double check, we moved everybody can contribute. Everyone can contribute to the mission page, which I can see here.

So I am just going to do a bulk update back to my find results. I always have to search again so to get that bottom thing to pop up. Okay: there. It is so I'm going to replace all.

With mission slash, everyone can contribute.

Please sometimes this takes me a minute.

And this is, this has been cool to see because.

A lot of these updates that are owned really do affect a lot of links so for the team to figure out how to do it quickly is always a good use of our time. I'm going to replace those all right, so I replaced everything.

I actually didn't mean to do that. So, let's see here, I meant to replace mission and vision with everyone can contribute. So, let's see so how do I file?

Let's see close, you know what I'm just going to do it. My own simple, like clothes, I don't want to save those changes. Don't save, don't save, I guess I'll. Do it 24 times.

Okay, so now I want to I'm just going to go back and see my status good status, okay, good, so those changes didn't save, I'm going to open sublime again. Let's try that again sign in folder.

And I want to find git lab or mission and vision and vision.

Should probably be copying and pasting just to avoid typos and more broken links, but we'll do that on the next one.

So again, this replace takes a little bit of time.

Nice great so now I'm also open. If anybody uh has a feedback on me being quicker. Let me know, but so far this has helped me a ton. I mean I've gotten a lot better. It gets since I started gitlab. So let's see get status.
