Description
Gitaly 15.10 Planning Issue - https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitaly-planning/release-planning/-/issues/8
A
Foreign
welcome
to
the
gettley
15.10
planning.
This
is
the
release
of
gitlab
1510
that
will
come
out
in
March
of
2023..
My
name
is
Mark
Wood
I'm
here
representing
the
giddly
team
here,
both
the
giddly
cluster
team
and
the
giddly
get
team
as
we
go
through
this
planning
issue
just
want
to
let
everybody
know
they're,
welcome
to
comment
on
this
issue
or
comment
on
any
of
the
issues
I
put
forth
here.
We
love
the
community
feedback
and
just
other
people's
opinions
and
impressions
of
what
we're
doing
and
we
strive
to
do
better
every
month.
A
So
let
us
know
how
we
can
better
focus.
If
there's
opportunities
you
see
for
the
team
on
the
objectives
and
themes,
we
have
a
direction
page
that
distributes
or
the
dishes
what's
next
and
why
information
for
our
organization,
so
please
feel
free
to
check
that
out.
That
is
also
in
progress
of
being
updated
as
well,
so
keep
checking
back
as
it
gets
changed
on
a
regular
basis.
A
One
of
the
other
things
that
the
team
is
focusing
on
this
month
and
we'll
continue
to
focus
on
for
this
quarter
is
the
disaster
recovery
working
group.
We
are
honored
to
be
invited
to
be
a
part
of
this
working
group
here
at
gitlab.
There's
a
public
web
page
around
what
we're
doing
here
and
what
our
goals
are.
A
There's
a
scope
and
a
definition
defined
here
in
what
we're
trying
to
accomplish.
This
is
one
of
those
opportunities
that
we
really
want
to
take
part
in
we're
actively
looking
to
improve
how
we
store
get
data
and
better
store
that
data
in
a
way,
that's
more,
durable,
reliable
and
easy
to
restore
that
is
taking
up
some
of
our
efforts,
so
you'll
see
that
some
of
the
other
issue
lists
are
slightly
smaller
than
they
have
been
in
the
past.
A
But
this
is
an
area
that's
very
important
to
us
and
the
business
and
we're
happy
to
be
a
part
of
it
and
explore
new
opportunities
there.
As
far
as
engineering
priorities,
we
are
still
working
on
putting
craft
packs
into
action.
Craft
packs
are
really
interesting
feature
introduced
by
git,
where,
instead
of
exploding
unreachable,
packed
objects
into
loose
objects
and
storing
them
in
the
git
system,
we
take
those
loot
subjects
and
pack
them
into
a
craft
pack
that
has
an
accompanying
file.
That
contains
access
times
for
every
contained
object.
A
A
There's
no
sense
over
provisioning,
your
infrastructure
for
the
once
or
twice
a
month
surges
that
may
occur,
but
instead
we
want
to
have
a
situation
where
giddly
can
push
back
and
say:
hey
we're
we're
busy
right
now
check
back
in
a
few
seconds,
handle
the
request
at
that
time
and
there
should
not
be
errors
present.
When
this
happens,
one
of
our
major
goals
is
to
allow
these
traffic
spikes
to
occur
without
throwing
errors
to
the
end
user.
A
That
may
just
pop
up
a
message
that
says
something
along
the
lines
of
give
us
a
minute.
We're
fetching
your
data
or
something
to
that
effect,
but
we
should
not
see
errors
and
it
should
not
interrupt
workflows
for
more
than
a
little
while
and
that's
really
important
to
us
we're
in
the
process
of
rolling
that
out
now
we
are
laying
the
groundwork
and
we're
continuing
to
make
good
progress
there.
A
Finally,
I
suggest
you
look
down
into
the
comment
section.
We
have
gone
through
the
backlog
and
identified
priorities
from
a
quality
perspective.
You
can
also
look
at
the
bug.
Prioritization
sizes
dashboard.
This
is
internal
only
though
so,
if
you
are
external
I
apologize
for
that,
but
there
is
a
list
of
what
we're
planning
on
tackling.
You
can
also
filter
issues
based
on
this
Milestone
as
I've
gone
ahead
and
added
all
the
issues
we
plan
on
working
on
in
this
Milestone
to
this
milestone.
A
I
will
also
mention
that
there's
a
decent
amount
of
Milestone
overflow
from
15.9
that
will
automatically
be
rolled
into
1510
in
the
approaching
few
days.
So,
if
you
don't
see
something
currently
in
the
Milestone,
and
it's
not
done,
it
probably
will
roll
over
automatically
in
the
next
few
days.
Thank
you
and
if
there's
any
questions,
please
feel
free
to
either
comment
on
this
video
or
comment
on
our
planning
issue,
which
will
be
linked
below.
Thank
you
very
much
have
a
great
day.
