From YouTube: GitLab 16.0 Kickoff - Package:Package Registry
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
So
since
16.0
is
a
major
Milestone,
I
just
want
to
call
out
that
there
are
several
removals
and
braking
changes
that
are
planned.
All
of
these
are
listed
in
the
docs.
If
you
go
to
you
know,
the
look
for
deprecations
in
the
web,
docs
I
do
want
to
highlight
a
few
there's.
A
Conan
change
with
a
project
level
search
endpoint
is
returning.
Instance-Wide
results
we're
going
to
correct
that,
so
it
only
returns
project
results,
but
this
could
be
a
breaking
change.
A
A
The
other
one
I'd
like
to
highlight
is
that
the
permissions
for
the
group
level
apis
are
currently
out
of
step
with
what's
needed
in
the
user
interface,
so
we're
going
to
level
those
and
just
be
aware
that
if
you're
using
the
the
API
to
set
various
settings
for
the
package
and
container
registry,
that's
going
to
change
in
16.0
as
well,
you
can
check
out
all
these
issues
and,
like
I,
said
they're
all
you
can
look
through
the
deprecations
by
version
and
read
the
justification
and
when
and
and
find
these
issues
as
well.
A
Okay
with
that
out
of
the
way
I
did
want
to
highlight
two
features
that
I'm
excited
about.
The
first
is
an
expansion
to
our
gitlab
Maven
repository.
Currently,
you
can't
use
Scala
and
SBT
with
the
maybe
repository
so
we're
doing
this
to
help
expand
the
user
base
to
cover
a
Scala
and
more
data
science
and
data
engineering
use
cases,
so
we're
very
excited
for
this
popular
feature.
A
In
addition,
one
of
the
things
that
we'd
like
to
do
is
add
a
group
level
endpoint
for
publishing
npm
packages.
So
if
you're
a
user,
you
have
an
instance
level
and
a
project
level,
but
that
can
be
difficult
to
navigate
for
larger
organizations
that
they
they
want
everyone
to
be
able
to
publish
to
the
same
and
install
from
the
same
group.
So
I
think
this
will
be
a
much
needed
change,
especially
for
a
more
complex
organizations
and
customers.
A
Okay,
yeah
I
just
wanted
to
highlight
a
few
things
and
check
out
the
issues.
Let
me
know
if
you
have
any
questions
and
look
forward
to
another
great
milestone.
Thank
you.
Everyone.
