Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
Hello
I'm
Tim
I'm,
the
PM
for
the
package
stage
here
at
gitlab,
and
today,
I
wanted
to
highlight
a
few
of
the
issues
that
we've
planned
for
Milestone
16.4,
which
for
self-managed
customers
will
be
available
on
September
22nd
2023.,
let's
Jump,
Right
In,
so
starting
with
the
container
registry,
we
have
an
improvement
to
the
API,
the
tax
API,
specifically
right
now,
there's
no
ability
to
search
or
I'm
sorry,
no
ability
to
sort
by
publishing
date.
A
We
are
just
moving
the
program
to
Beta
next
milestone
in
16-4.
If
you're
interested
in
this,
please
find
this
issue
and
comment
feel
free
to
ping
me
and
comment
and
we'd
love
to
sign
you
up
for
the
beta
program
and
get
you
started
on
this.
It's
going
to
be
a
really
great
opportunity
to
test
out
something
that
you
are
seeing
working
every
day
on
gitlab.com
at
a
tremendous
scale.
A
Okay,
on
to
the
package
registry,
the
first
issue
I'd
like
to
highlight
is
for
the
maven
dependency
proxy.
This
is
part
of
a
broader
epic.
You
could
see
here
what
the
plan
is
and
we're
about
halfway
through
now,
and
this
issue
you
could
see-
has
a
weight
of
three.
This
is
really
for
the
API
for
the
cash
miss
path
and
we're
excited
to
get
this
done,
because
the
rest
of
the
issues
should
go
pretty
quickly
after
this.
A
So
if
you're
not
sure
what
this
is
check
out,
the
Epic,
but
basically
it
gives
you
the
ability
to
set,
in
addition
to
pulling
packages
from
your
gitlab
repository,
you
can
set
an
upstream
repository
like
Maven,
Central
or
artifactory,
and
packages
will
be
proxied
in
cash
from
there
for
future
use
to
help
improve
build
times
and
also
avoid
any
outages
of
other
services
and
then
also
just
to
help
you
to
get
all
of
your
packages
in
one
location.
So
this
is
a
really
exciting
feature
for
us.
A
A
Moving
on
another
thing
that
we've
been
working
on
is
adding
support
for
v2
of
nougat.
This
is
really
important
for
users
of
chocolaty,
which
is
a
popular
package
manager
tool
that
uses
a
newt.net
nuget
underneath
the
surface.
A
A
This
other
issue
I'm
excited
about
as
well.
It's
a
small
feature.
It's
basically
means
right
now,
when
you
extract
a
python
package,
it
doesn't
include
all
of
the
metadata
that
comes
along
with
the
package,
we're
going
to
update
that.
So
we
could
include
all
of
the
metadata
that's
important
for
finding
and
validating
a
package
in
the
UI,
but
I'm
also
excited
about
it,
because
this
is
the
first
issue
from
this
epic.
The
key
improvements
for
the
Pi
Pi
repository.
A
We
spent
the
previous
several
Milestones,
making
similar
improvements
for
npm
and
Maven
and
nougat,
and
we've
seen
a
lot
of
success
and
increased
satisfaction
with
those
features
so
excited
to
sort
of
turn
our
lens
towards
python.
For
the
next,
several
milestones,
we've
actually
done
a
similar
thing
for
the
for
the
dependency
proxy.
This
Milestone
we
have
another
issue
planned,
which
is
for
self-managed
customers
to
add
the
ability
to
enable
or
disable
the
feature
from
the
instance
level
admin
panel.
A
Currently
you
have
to
do
this
by
updating
your
configuration
and
your
gitlab.rv
file
that
doesn't
really
work
for
gitlab
dedicated
customers.
We
need
to
add
this
functionality
to
the
instance
level
panel.
As
well
so
this
will
be
a
viable
feature
for
making
sure
that
you
could
turn
the
the
dependency
proxy
off
for
the
entire
instance
and
one
minor
one.
More
minor
issue
is
supporting
pom
files
and
and
Maven
artifacts
for
the
Importer
tool.
