From YouTube: GitLab 14.0 Kickoff - Package:Package
Description
Planning issue: https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/329701
A
A
I
will
link
to
the
package
team's
planning
issue
in
the
video
description.
It's
helpful
to
check
out.
You
can
see
everything
that
we're
working
on
and
everything
that
we
hope
to
work
on.
We
have
our
p1
issues.
This
is
what
we're
committing
to
and
then
we
also
identify
stretch
goals.
I
would
say,
if
you're
interested
in
contributing
this,
these
stretch
goals
are
a
great
way
to
contribute
to
the
package
stage
as
well.
A
So
if
you're
interested
in
checking
out
this
issue
for
more
details,
please
do
so
I'm
going
to
just
highlight
a
few
of
the
items
on
this
list.
The
first
I'm
really
excited
about
we're
investing
over
the
this
milestone
and
the
the
next
milestone
or
two
in
improving
our
pi
api
repository.
A
The
first
issue
that
we're
working
on
is
adding
an
endpoint
for
downloading
or
installing
python
packages
from
the
group
level.
Currently,
you
could
only
do
this
at
the
project
level,
so
this
makes
it
a
bit
hard
for
for
those
organizations
that
have
many
projects
or
many
different
subgroups
under
a
group.
So
this
new
endpoint
you'll
be
able
to
download
all
of
your
python
packages
in
a
given
group
using
one
endpoint
so
they'll
make
it
hopefully
will
make
your
life
a
lot
easier.
A
A
A
Another
change
that
we're
making
to
the
user
interface
is
publishing
the
package
hash
on
the
package
details
page
so
right
now,
this
information
is
available
and
it's
returned
in
the
api.
But
it's
not
surfaced
in
the
user
interface
and
a
lot
of
times.
You
may
want
to
quickly
copy
the
sha
values
so
that
you
can
confirm
that
you're
using
the
right
one
in
your
pipeline,
so
this
will
be
available
moving
forward
in
14.0
as
well.
A
Like
I
mentioned,
we
have
a
lot
of
exciting
features
going
on,
but
these
are
three
that
I
wanted
to
highlight.
If
you
have
any
questions
or
interested
in
how
you
can
contribute
to
the
package
stage,
please
feel
free
to
reach
out
to

and
I
look
forward
to
collaborating
with
you
in
the
issues.
Thank
you
very
much.
