From YouTube: GitLab: How to fetch packages from npmjs.com
Description
No description was provided for this meeting.
If this is YOUR meeting, an easy way to fix this is to add a description to your video, wherever mtngs.io found it (probably YouTube).
A
A
So
this
issue
basically
says
that
if
you
are
looking,
if
you
are
trying
to
install
a
package
that
is
not
available
in
your
get
lab
NPM
registry
to
go
out
and
fetch
it
from
NPM,
j/s
org,
so
I
have
here
a
sample
project.
It's
pretty
simple.
It
just
has
a
pipeline
and
a
package.json
file
and
if
I
navigate
to
my
specific
package
registry
I
could
see
here
that
I
have
a
package
called
get
lab.
Org
slash,
get
lab
UI,
and
now
it's
important
to
note
that
the
version
of
this
is
1.0.0.
A
Okay,
so
now
I
want
to
actually
try
installing
a
more
recent
version
of
this
package
and
I'm
going
to
see
if
it
pulls
I'm.
Sorry
I'm
going
to
install
a
more
recent
version
of
this
package
in
my
CI
job
and
I
want
to
see
if
it
pulls
the
package
from
here
or
if
it's
smart
enough
to
know
to
look
on
NPM
org.
So,
let's
take
a
look
at
my
repository
and
my
animal
file.
A
A
Okay,
so
here
we
could
see
that
it's
actually
installing,
based
on
all
of
these
NPM
specific
warnings
that
it's
actually
installing
the
package
in
on
this
specific
job
from
the
NPM
j/s
org,
not
from
the
package
registry.
So
it
worked
so
we
now
have
enabled,
by
default.
At
the
instance
level,
you
can
set
up
package
enable
forwarding
of
package
requests
for
the
2np
MJS
org,
so
really
excited
to
get
some
feedback
on
this
feature
and
over
time
maybe
roll
out
similar
features
for
our
maven
and
and
you
get
and
other
repositories
as
well.
