From YouTube: Package stage group update March 2019
Description
A
Hi
and
welcome
to
the
package
roadmap
update
for
March
2019.
Let's
start
off
with
some
introductions:
hi
I'm
Dimitri,
our
product
manager
for
the
package
statehood
bucket
lab,
along
with
my
colleague,
Jason
landing
in
Georgia
lon,
as
you
can
see,
on
screen,
are
displayed
our
develop
handles,
which
are
usable
on
jet
lab
comm
feel
free
to
reach
out
to
any
of
us
at
any
time
with
any
questions
or
feedback
you
might
have.
A
Currently,
the
stage
book
package
is
don't
through
transitionary
phase,
which
will
rebuild
in
the
ingenuity
needed
in
order
to
implement
the
changes
up
ahead
in
our
road,
but
before
going
into
a
deep
dive
into
debt,
let's
take
a
step
back
and
see
where
the
package
stage
book
fits
within
a
larger
devops
lifecycle
get
lap
in
the
graph.
It
is
visible
that
the
packaged
age
group
is
located
right
in
between
verify
and
release.
Those
three
stage
groups
combined
make
up
the
continues.
A
A
We
believe
that
even
versatile
package
management
is
instrumental
to
any
DevOps
life
cycle.
Along
with
that,
we
have
dedicated
pages
which
focus
in
on
our
mobile
development
and
deployment
strategies
and
other
interwoven
CICE
use
cases.
The
first
section
is
about
compliance
supply
chains,
development.
The
gitlab
is
done
concurrently
and
is
taking
advantage
of
our
single
application,
which
support
integrated
package
manager.
A
Our
initial
focus
is
on
making
those
supply
chains
privately
accessible.
This
makes
sure
the
chairing
packages
within
your
organization
is
easier
and
better
manageable.
By
continuously
indentifying
compliance
and
security
evidence
in
planning
in
production
releases
gitlab
reduces
opensource
risk.
This
makes
sure
that
developers
can
safely
rely
on
a
wide
array
external
dependencies
through
scanning
and
other
making.
This
information,
concurrent
and
transparent,
ensures
confidence
in
what
you're
building
and
releasing
everyone
involved.
A
Second,
section
is
specifically
going
into
the
universal
package
type
management
in
order
to
ensure
DevOps
acceleration.
Calif
strengths
come
from
being
a
single
application
with
integrated
universal
type
management.
We
want
to
support
as
many
packages
as
possible.
Currently
we
support
Java
method
and
maven
packages.
Docker
images
and
NPM
packages
this
year
of
focus
will
need
to
widen
that
support,
which
we
go
into
detail
in
to
in
a
minute.
This
added
flexibility
and
accessibility
will
allow
get
let
used
truth
increase
throughput
consistently.
A
So
now
we
move
into
the
categories.
The
categories
are
the
focus
in
the
upcoming
year
of
get
lab
for
the
packaged
stage
book,
but
don't
are
not
exclusive,
as
you
can
see.
The
top
three
categories
focusing
on
further
enhancing
the
existing
package
type
repositories,
such
as
the
docker
container
registry
maven
package
repository
and
the
NPM
package
register,
will
be
expanding
with
the
ruby
gem
registry
for
Ruby
developers,
Linux
package
registry,
with
a
focus
in
on
Debian
and
rpm,
and
a
hound
chart
registry
to
support
our
Cuban,
a
t's
cluster
integration.
A
Let's
move
in
the
meantime
to
the
contributing
things
I
get
lab.
One
of
our
values
is
that
everyone
can
come
for
you
if
you're
looking
to
get
involved,
feel
free
to
reach
out
to
any
of
us
issues
you
can
find
by
clicking
through
to
any
of
those
links.
Ui
polish
issues
generally
focusing
on
very
visual
changes
to
the
UI
and
are
very
focused
in
you
can
also
see
which
issues
are
available
for
community
contributions,
and
those
are
issues
that
have
accepting
merge,
request
label
designs.
A
Lastly,
you
might
get
involved
or
want
to
get
involved
with
any
existing
merge
requests
are
handled
by
community
contributors.
You
can
find
those
here
hi
and
let's
take
a
look
at
what's
next,
it's
important
to
note
that
the
roadmap
is
open
to
changes
at
any
time
and
it's
kept
short
on
purpose,
because
we're
still
rebuilding
the
engineering
team
needed
in
order
to
implement
the
changes.
However,
for
11.10,
you
can
see
that
we
have
to
focus
in
on
the
MVC
for
caching
proxies
we're
focusing
on
get
lab,
get
labs.
A
Darker
image
contain
container
registry
for
the
second
quarter,
we're
expanding
our
package
repository
types
with
the
Cuban
Ares
help
charts
support,
as
well
as
adding
additional
capabilities
for
managing
docker
container
images
and
maven
repository
packages
in
the
third
quarter.
We
aspired
for
the
docker
registry
browser
to
be
available
on
a
group
level
for
better
management
and
availability,
/
transparency
throughout
your
organization
and
lastly,
the
last
section
is
about
other
interesting
items,
items
that
are
directional
by
their
issues,
but
are
not
yet
or
do
not
yet
have
a
dedicated
mascot
signs.
A
A
few
interesting
ones
to
point
out
are
put
better
protected
container
registries,
support
for
the
conan
package,
repository
type
for
c
and
c++
developments
and
a
universal
repository
type
user
interface
for
better
usability
and
accessibility
of
a
with
require
a
package
repository,
and
we
that
will
come
to
the
completion
for
the
package.
