A
Hey
everyone,
I'm
Amanda,
ratha
I'm,
the
senior
product
manager
with
product
planning
at
gitlab
and
I,
want
to
show
you
some
new
features
that
we're
rolling
out
so
specifically
I'm
talking
about
the
ability
to
link
children
records
to
epics,
where
the
children
are
not
part
of
the
meet
the
immediate
hierarchy
or
the
group
structure
that
the
Epic
lives
in.
So
this
is
a
little
bit
of
a
difficult
topic
to
explain.
So
let
me
show
you
what
I
mean
we're
going
to
for
purposes
of
this
demonstration
focus
on
Group,
B
and
group.
A
A
here
in
group.
A
I
have
an
epic
and
that's
my
parent
and
I
want
to
link
issue
an
issue
and
an
epic
that
lives
in
group
b
to
that
parent,
epic.
In
group.
A
and
until
this
point
you
couldn't
do
that
because
the
children
had
to
be
part
of
the
immediate
org
structure
or
the
immediate
tree
structure
of
the
group,
and
so
in
version
15
5.
A
We
rolled
out
the
ability
to
link
chat,
children
issues
to
epics
from
outside
the
hierarchy,
and
so
here's,
my
epic
I'm
in
group
a
and
this
is
going
to
be,
where
I'm
going
to
actually
link
the
children
I'm
going
to
navigate
to
Group
B
and
show
you
the
issue
that
I'm
going
to
link
I'm
just
going
to
grab
the
URL,
because
that's
nice
and
easy
for
me,
I'm
going
to
copy
and
paste
it
and
when
I
come
here
and
select,
add
I'm
going
to
pick
existing
issue.
And
that
message
is
from
a
demo.
A
I
was
just
doing
so.
Just
ignore
that
and
there
we
go
now
we're
going
to
run
into
that
message
again,
because
that
was
the
issue
linking
the
Epic
has
been
rolled
out
in
version
15
6.
But
it's
behind
a
feature
flag
because
of
a
security
issue
that
we're
working
on,
and
so
it
is
available
for
our
self-managed
users
to
enable
in
their
instance,
if,
if
they'd
like
to
but
on
SAS,
which
I'm
on
it
is
not
currently
enabled
so
I'm
going
to
show
it
to
you.
A
But
it's
going
to
throw
us
that
error
that
you
saw,
but
you
can
imagine
what
the
future
should
do
once
it's
enabled
so
we're
going
to
do
the
same
flow
and
back
in
Epic
in
group,
a
I
copied
the
Epic
URL
from
Group,
B,
add
and
I'm
going
to
add
an
existing
epic
and
I'm
going
to
paste
that
and
select
add
and
that's
when
this
message
is
going
to
be
thrown
once
the
feature
flag
is
removed.
A
You'll
see
that
child
epic
being
added
right
here
as
well
I
hope
that
this
was
helpful
and
look
forward
to
any
feedback.
