Hey this is Darren head of remote at gate, lab and I'm grateful to be adding an all remote integrated marketing campaign manager to my team. So if you found this video first off, thank you. We really appreciate you considering gitlab as the next stop on your career journey. So, as you may have seen, get lab is a very transparent company and this also applies to job vacancies.

So we want to make sure you understand the strategy and what it's like to work here before you even apply so in this video, we'll talk about what this role entails.

Talk about, whether or not you'll love the day-to-day tasks and finally, what it's like to work here and if you should apply hey, what do you think I'll even do in this role, not to worry I've got you covered, so this is a special role within a pretty amazing team at get lab, so we exist to evangelize and amplify the all remote message, both internally and externally.

So you'll work with me on new ways to do that: across learning and development, brand awareness, thought leadership, new content platforms, events and beyond how do I know if I think this job is awesome. Honestly, you're already awesome but fair point, so I think you'll love this role. If you enjoy connecting dots and connecting people, there's a lot of logistical work that needs to happen across events, lining up new partnerships and finding new ways to spread the message of all remote far and wide.

So if you love building run of shows, if you love choreography, that kind of thing this might be your jam, you should also love storytelling, documenting and communicating. So documentation is core to everything we do at get lab. We work asynchronously, which is super liberating, but it requires you to be a manager of one and to be really intentional about documenting as you go so that folks, that are in different time zones can see what the context is of the project you're working on and help move it along.

So I think that just became best friends with this role should I apply.

That best friend, feeling often imitated never duplicated, so, ideally we're looking for someone with around three to five years of experience in a communications or marketing role, so that could be journalism, experience or marketing brand activations, even lead generation, we're interested in someone who has or coordinated projects across content, marketing or social media events or editorial, and especially those that have operated in a remote or distributed environment before and who enjoy being a manager of one. So if you love lots of autonomy, you'll get plenty of that here.

We're also looking for someone who's, just a natural storyteller, someone that loves to find a story and then get that message out there and really creative and compelling ways. Oh I am definitely living for this where's. The apply button, oh actually, one more thing before you apply so working at get lab is different, really different, probably dramatically different than anywhere else.

You've ever worked before, so it's really important to take a moment and look at our values page and make sure the values, as well as the sub values, really resonate and align with your heart and soul. The values that get lab aren't just words on a wall. They truly guide every decision that we make and we give folks a lot of agency to work on what matters to them. For folks that love self learning discovering new things evolving, the handbook documenting and being transparent with their work.

They really thrive here but acclimating to a remote environment, especially if you're coming from a co-located space can be different. So there's a jobs FAQ that answers some of these basic questions, there's five or six links there. I would encourage you to dive into each one and read them top to bottom. It should give you a great idea of what it's like to work here on a day to day basis get labs. All remote culture is as unique as it is amazing and I really hope.
