From YouTube: Speed Run for Deployment Frequency
A
Hi,
my
name
is
arika
lewinsky
and
I'm
the
product
manager
for
the
release
stage
here
at
gitlab
today,
I
wanted
to
walk
through
a
new
feature
called
deployment
frequency
that
we
recently
deployed,
and
I
wanted
you
to
see
how
you
can
use
it.
So
I'm
going
to
go
ahead
and
share
my
screen,
and
what
I
want
you
to
see
is
that
we
already
have
documentation
that
kind
of
explains
how
to
use
this
new
deployment.
Frequency.
A
In
terms
of
the
api,
I'm
going
to
show
you
how
to
use
the
api,
I'm
going
to
show
you
how
to
use
it
in
the
ui
deployment.
Frequency
is
a
metric
that
shows
you
how
efficient
your
sdlc
processes
and
how
often
you
are
deploying
to
production.
So
we're
going
to
start
off
with
the
api,
and
you
can
see
here
an
example
of
the
api.
A
It
gets
all
the
deployments
in
a
specific
project.
So
you'll
see
that
you
need
to
insert
the
project
id,
you
need
to
insert
the
environment
name
and
you
need
to
to
insert
the
interval
that
you're
interested
in
checking
out
where
the
deployment
frequency
was
so
let's
go
ahead.
I
have
a
project
that
I
call
or
reit
a
d
test,
ruby,
and
just
so
you
can.
You
see
the
environments,
I
have
a
productive
environment
and
you
can
see
that
I
did
a
deployment
about
an
hour
ago.
A
So,
let's
go
and
see
how
we
use
this.
So
I'm
going
to
open
up
my
terminal
in
order
to
use
the
api,
and
I
have
a
small
little
script
that
I
created.
A
That
shows
you.
The
curl
request
the
the
url
that
you
need
for
your
project,
the
project
ideas
I
mentioned
the
deployment
frequency
interval,
so
I
chose
from
december
of
last
year
of
2020
and
the
interval
is
daily
there's
daily,
there's
weekly,
there's
monthly
and
the
environment
that
I
chose
is
production.
Now
the
api
supports
any
environment,
name
that
you
want
to
check.
So
if
you
have
an
environment,
that's
called
staging
or
test
or
dev.
You
can
just
replace
that
with
what
I
have
here.
A
Production
and
you'll
get
the
response
and
of
course,
you
need
the
price
private
token
of
your
project.
So
what
I
want
you
to
see
to
see
is
how
you
can
find
this
information.
A
You
can
see
the
project
id,
that's
what
you
need
to
insert
and
where
you
have
access
tokens,
you
need
to
either
create
or
use
an
already
existing
access.
Token
that
has
read
api
access
and
you'll
be
able
to
get
get
the
response.
So
now,
let's
go
ahead
and
see
what
our
response
is
for
deployment
frequency.
A
And
you
can
see,
we
have
a
value
of
one
deployment
that
was
done
between
these
and
these
dates,
and
what
I
want
you
to
see
is
also
what
this
looks
like
in
the
ui.
So
in
the
ui
of
your
project,
you
can
see
under
analytics.
We
have
a
ci
cd
section
and
you
can
see
that
historically,
we
only
had
pipelines
in
this
view
and
you
can
see
all
the
different
activities
that
you
that
happen
to
your
pipeline.
How
many
failed,
how
many
are
successful,
but
we
introduced
this
new
tab.
A
A
I
hope
you
found
this
helpful
and
I'm
looking
forward
to
hearing
any
feedbacks
and
comments
about
this.
Really
great
new
feature
see
you
next
time.
