Description
Brief introduction to the new reminders app in Zendesk for people who will be testing it out prior to deploying it in production.
A
Hi
everybody
mike
doninger
here,
thanks
for
signing
up
to
take
a
look
at
our
zendesk
reminders
app
before
we
put
that
out
into
production.
So
I
just
wanted
to
give
you
a
a
brief
look
at
it
here
once
you
log
in
to
the
zendesk
sandbox
on
the
left
side
of
the
window,
you're
going
to
see
the
little
get
lab
icon
there
for
get
lab
reminders
app.
If
you
click
on
that,
it'll
bring
you
to
the
page
that
I'm
showing
you
here
right
now.
What
we
have
in
this
ticket
activity
window
is
four
tabs.
A
A
What's
coming
up
and
what's
due
you'll
notice
that
the
first
one
is
a
reddish
color
and
that's
to
indicate
that
this
one
is
overdue
right
that
was
set
for
january
28th
at
five
o'clock
mountain
time,
five
o'clock
in
the
morning
mountain
time
and
that
that
was
about
five
hours
ago.
So
it's
overdue.
So
we
don't
remove
it
from
the
list,
but
we
give
you
that
red
as
an
indication
the
white
background
ticket
here-
and
it
is
not
due
until
a
little
bit
later
on
today.
Every
item
listed
here
shows
you
the
ticket
id.
A
You
click
on
it
and
go
right
to
the
ticket,
the
due
date
and
the
due
date
notes,
which
is
a
field
we
created
recently,
and
the
idea
is
that
in
this
field,
you'll
put
in
a
little
information
to
inform
yourself
of
what
it
is.
That's
due
right.
So
it
could
be.
Oh,
I
want
to
get
back
to
the
customer
to
see
if
they've
completed
the
the
tasks
that
I
laid
out
for
them
or
if
they
have
any
questions
or
it
could
be
something
like.
A
Oh,
I
needed
to
read
through
the
the
gitlab
sos
files
and
figure
out
the
next
steps.
So
whatever
it
is,
you
can
give
yourself
a
handy
reminder
here,
so
you
know
what
you're
looking
at
and
then
on
the
right
side.
For
each
of
these
is
the
button
mark
task
as
done
and
when
we
click
on
that,
what
it's
going
to
do
is
remove
the
due
date
from
the
ticket,
and
so
it
will
also
disappear
from
this
view.
A
So
if
I
click
on
that,
you
can
see
it's
gone
and
we
have
an
indication
up
top
that
for
that
ticket
we've
removed
it.
We
also
have
tabs
to
show
you
recent
tickets,
all
of
your
assigned
tickets
and
tickets
on
which
you're
cc'd.
So
hopefully
this
page
gives
you
a
nice
one-stop
shop
where
you
can
do
most
of
your
work,
with
the
exception
of
finding
new
tickets
that
aren't
assigned
to
you.
A
If
I
go
into
the
assigned
tickets,
I
want
to
pull
up
that
ticket
that
we
just
cleared
from
the
list
and
show
you
show
you
what
we
can
do
here.
So
here
we
have
another
important
part
of
the
app,
and
that
is
the
due
date
picker
now
that
I
that's
in
the
apps
bar.
So
if
I
click
on
apps,
I
can
toggle
whether
that's
there
or
not.
As
you
know,
when
you're
not
in
sandbox,
there
are
a
number
of
apps
over
there.
A
This
one
is
the
due
date
picker,
and
this
allows
you
to
select
not
only
a
date
from
the
calendar
like
maybe
tomorrow,
but
also
a
time,
and
you
can
select
the
time
from
the
picker
there,
but
you
can
also
go
in
and
say.
Well,
you
know,
let
me
make
it
3
30
in
the
afternoon
instead
of
three
o'clock,
so
you
can
type
whatever
time
you
want
it's
in
24
hour
format,
and
then
it
defaults
to
your
time
zone.
A
A
So
it's
ready
for
you
to
work
on
and
at
that
same
time,
if
you
haven't
disabled
notifications,
here,
you'll
get
an
email
one
hour
before
the
due
date,
letting
you
know
that
this
ticket
is
coming
up
on
its
its
due
date.
A
We
are
looking
into
the
possibility
also
of
having
the
notification,
include
a
pop-up
right
here
in
the
zendesk
window,
but
for
now
that
feature
is
not
available.
So
I've
set
a
new
due
date
here,
and
I
want
you
to
notice
the
fields
on
the
left
right.
We
do
have
the
standard
due
date
field,
which
is
available
when
the
type
of
the
ticket
is
tasked.
We
also
have
the
due
date
notes
field.
So
when
I
click
update
due
date
tells
me
it
updated
it,
and
I
can
see
that
it
filled
it
in
over.
A
Here,
don't
worry
about
the
time
not
showing
up.
This
field
only
shows
date,
but
the
time
is
stored
and
then
this
due
date
notes
field.
That's
where
you
type
in
the
notes
that
I
pointed
to
in
the
reminders
app
itself
once
you
type
that
in
and
this
might
be
analyze,
sos
files
and
report
back
to
customer.
A
I
do
need
to
submit
that
ticket
and
if
I
go
back
to
the
reminders
app
now
in
the
task
list
again,
I
see
both
items
here
and
you
can
see
they're
sorted
by
the
due
date.
Most
the
soonest
one,
showing
up
first
last
thing
I
want
to
point
out-
is
that
there's
also
a
trigger
that's
part
of
this
set
of
changes,
and
that
removes
the
notification
sent
tag
after
you
update
the
ticket.
A
So
if
you
come
in
and
update
the
ticket,
maybe
before
the
due
date,
it's
not
going
to
send
you
a
notification
so
that
won't
get
in
your
way.
A
So
please
come
on
into
the
the
sandbox
here
and
check
this
out
and-
and
let
us
know
what
you
like,
what
you
don't
like:
maybe
suggestions
for
what
we
need
to
fix
or
improve,
and
then
information
about
just
what
value
you
would
see
from
this.
Thank
you.
