Dieter Plaetinck, Principal Engineer at raintank discusses alerting “in” Grafana. As one of the most requested features in our last survey, and one of the most active open GitHub issues, alerting in Grafana is both an exciting and contentious topic. Dieter talks about our approach to tackling the alerting question in Grafana, and what’s coming down the pipe to allow people to manage their alerts side-by-side with their visualizations. Philip Wernersbach from Ingram Content Group discusses his experiences with Grafana and MySQL. In an enterprise environment it is sometimes necessary to keep data in a traditional, general purpose SQL database such as MySQL or PostgreSQL. This talk explores the challenges and benefits of using Grafana with an SQL database in a large enterprise production setting.

From GrafanaCon 2015, NYC. Automating Grafana management via Chef and the API. The focus will be on interesting solutions to problems that Outbrain has encountered, including enforcing dashboard policy, quarantine, and managing dynamic data sources. This talk will focus on using automations to help run Grafana at scale.

Matt Mihic, Lead Senior Staff Engineer at Uber talks about M3 and metrics at scale. M3 is a new metrics database that has been developed by Uber. Matt discusses their motivations and experiences in designing and building M3, with a particular focus on the query language and their Grafana integration.

Jesse White, CTO of OpenNMS Group Inc talks about OpenNMS, an enterprise grade network management application platform that can be used to collect a wide array of metrics from network devices and services. Until recently, the only means of visualizing these metrics was through static images. Jesse share's his experiences developing and maintaining a custom data source that allows OpenNMS users to leverage the powers of Grafana.

Grafana creator, Torkel Ödegaard discusses and demos many of the new features of the 2.5 release and provides a roadmap of what's in store for the future of Grafana.

Paul Dix, CEO if InfluxDB discusses upcoming improvements in the 0.9 series of InfluxDB, a popular data source amongst Grafana users that's under active development. Paul also talks about a brand new storage engine with improved performance.
