This is located on scenic long island sound while it's an educational facility. Every point has a walking trail that is open to the public. The trail features beautiful coastal scenery, as well as a permanent outdoor sculpture, exhibit.

My name is charlotte gray, I'm an assistant professor in residence of art history here at uconn avery point. I am also the director and curator of the electric bunch lily gallery of art located here in grand finals.

Uconn avery point is built on the former estate of philanthropist morton plant plant built his summer cottage here in groton in the earliest part of the 20th century. The frankfurt house and its.

Amazing architecture was designed by plant's wife nelly when it was built in 1904. It cost 3 million.

This installation of small flags is called labyrinth and it was devised as a wind, responsive, interactive work for our campus by new york artist, christopher cosmerick. How will you walk the labyrinth? Share your photos with us using the hashtag openairsummer2020.

While you are here be sure to visit the historic avery point lighthouse built in 1944, this lighthouse acts as a private aid to navigation. It is also listed as the official last lighthouse built in connecticut.

We will also be offering open air by night a series of free outdoor film screenings of video art, art films and special light projections developed specifically for our campus, we'll be projecting onto the historic avery point lighthouse, as well as to the brantford house.
